I don't even know how long it's been since I first got to know about this mountain town coffee shop. It's been on the "must go" list for a while but I finally had a chance to visit it on a beautiful mid-February day today. It sure was worth the drive and time all the way from the south Denver. The moment I stepped inside, the warm welcoming atmosphere was sensed. As soon as the lady upfront greeted me cordially, I felt more comfortable and relaxed. The instantaneous gratification hit me where I almost uttered "I am glad that I took the time to come here!" I wanted to peruse the menu. To my "Give me a moment" statement, the kind lady said "Of course, take your time. We also have a Valentine's Day special drink right here!". It was a white chocolate based mocha which sounded quite sweet so I asked her if it was sweet to which she said "It's very sweet but we can always adjust it to half the syrup!" All kinds of considerate words were made in each of her reply. I decided to go simple today; I went with the drip coffee which comes with unlimited free refills. The lady gave me one of the cups and told me where the pot that contained the drip was located. Alongside the pot, there was a super mini refrigerator that contained two jars of cold milk: one is half and half and the other is oat milk. What a kind care the shop does to keep them chilled. The simple drip coffee was just what I needed; it hit the spot. And tasted clean with no burnt notes at all. Quality coffee indeed. As I was immersed in this review writing in the ambient setting, the shop started to fill with guests. Although it's so tucked in this little mountain town, there appear to be "coffee fanatic fans" that know this place. And like me, I assume that many of them are not the local town folk. There is no wonder why they are drawn to it; they know where to find great coffee spots. I loved every single bit of this cozy place. An adorable coffee shop at over 9,000 feet! Plume Coffee Bar sits pretty on the main drag of Silver Plume. Now there's not many places to go on this street, but boy is it a pretty place to be. Matching the surrounding mountains is the quaint and charming interior of the shop. It's incredible welcoming and homey. How local is this place? We witnessed multiple regulars walk in and order their coffees, and they received a custom mug with their name on them in return! How cute is that? In a town of 207 people, this embodies the quintessential small mountain town vibe. Cortado for me, Americano for her. Both were delightful and soothing on a dreary morning. And for less than $10? Score. The best part of the experience was their adorable little play area for children. My son played with cars, blocks, and flipped through books while we cozied up. This was an unexpected surprise! The whole town is tiny and was dead when we got there but this place had a non stop (short) line. They only had 1 person on staff on a friday morning which seemed to slow things down a bit. But it was worth the wait. The maple cinnamon latte was delicious. They even put a cute candy corn on top of each of our coffees which was cute. The breakfast burritos were good. One of the BEST coffee shops I've been to in my life. They got everything right. Personable, homey, welcome, kind and downright memorable. Here why: Staff: she was so kind it felt like I've known her my whole life. Great with people and knew everyone that stopped by that's from the town here. Talk about a true gem! I'm so happy I visited Sliver Plume today to stumble into this coffee bar! The ambiance inside was so beautifully whimsical, boho, and cozy! I loved all of the decor! I never wanted to leave. Haha! I ended up ordering an iced tea with lavender added and it was the perfect, fragrant lavender for me. It wasn't overpowering and I felt the tea didn't need sweetening. The coziest coffee shop with the sweetest barista! We stopped by since we were in the area and I'm so glad we did. I got the snickerdoodle latte which was delicious and I understand why it's the most popular drink there. My parents got the ginger snap latte and a cappuccino which they also enjoyed. Plume Coffee Bar is like finding a hidden treasure! You'd never guess in the little town of Plume, CO that there would be the cutest coffee shop, ever. There is, though. And, it's the perfect road trip stop if you're heading to or from Breckenridge, CO from Denver, CO. Upon entering, we were completely stunned by it's aesthetics. It's beautifully decorated, and remains peaceful while feeling whimsical. In fact, it'd be the perfect lil' spot to cozy up with a book for the day or an amazing off the beaten path study hall for all my college students reading this post. We definitely could have been there for hours, just reading and sipping the day away. The owner of the shop makes your experience extremely inviting. She is a lovely woman who greets you with a smile, kind conversation and perfectly balanced latte. You can tell she loves what she does, and loves her shop! We cannot wait to stop at Plume Coffee Bar for road trips to come. :D read more

A true gem! Located on Main Street in small town of Silver Plume, CO. I was staying locally and went to this coffee shop every single day. The place is very well decorated. Chelsea is awesome and greeted everyone with a smile and awesome energy every single day. She also gave plenty of great recommendations of things to do in the area and always makes time for conversation with anyone who visits. Chelsea really makes you feel like you're part of the family. Pleny of options for coffee and everything I bought was delicious. They also have breakfast burritos as well. I never write reviews, but this is one of the loveliest coffee shops I've ever been to. My sister and I stopped in around 10am after a hike and ended up staying until closing time at 5. I would drive an hour to get to this place...It is so worth it if you have some time to hang out! They got everything right: Welcoming, homey, incredible coffee, and a great staff and community. Their smore's latte was possibly the best coffee I've had - They use homemade syrups and toast a marshmallow for the top. Coffee cake was great, and I'll definitely try the donuts next time. What kept us there all day were all of the activities! They had a basket for customers to make friendship bracelets, and tons of games and puzzles. I'm only in Denver for a few weeks, but am already intentionally planning out my schedule to make sure I can go back! read more
