This really your quintessential All-American town restaurant. The Happy Cooker is the only game in town; so here we are for some hearty homemade food. A decent place for a Mountain Breakfast with a Cooker Choice with your traditional two eggs with bacon, sausage links and a choice of waffle or French toast. A local favorite is the Classic Breakfast Burrito. Personally i selected the Huevos Rancheros. Service is on the slow side as the waiter is alone. So arm yourself with patience. The ambiance is relaxed and casual.

The Happy Cooker restaurant was a short walk from the Georgetown Mountain Inn which gave us time to stroller through this quaint town. I got eggs Benedict with home fries and I can truly say it felt 100% like your mom made it. Definitely would get again. We got there right when it opened at 8 am. So our service was quick. So just remember if your up early for breakfast like we are nothing in this town we have opens before 8 am or has dinner after 8 pm.

I had a wonderful breakfast at the happy cooker. There is a beautiful outdoor yard with tables as well as a decent size indoor area. The staff, whether young adults or older waitstaff were accommodating and helpful. The food came out quickly and was quite tasty.

Happy Cooker is a cute little spot and the service was friendly. The location in the mountains is idyllic. The menu leans more towards breakfast items, so perhaps thats the way to go. I popped in here for lunch and ordered the Vegetarian Chili. It was very average and bland. I was expecting a bit more of a punch. I had read reviews about their homemade bread being delicious, so I was happy to see the Chili came with a slice of that bread. Once again, I was left a bit underwhelmed. Perhaps, my expectations were set high due to to some of the positive reviews.

During the week, this is one of the only spots open in town so we decided to give it a shot. The cleanliness of the restaurant made me feel some type of the way. Don't look up at the fans whatever you do. There was only one person working and he was incredibly kind and doing his best for sure. The bagel sandwich was dry but nothing a little bit of Mayo couldn't fix. The potato's were pretty good. The coffee was self service and it's just your typical folgers style cup.

Great local diner in Georgetown. They open at 8am when other restaurants open later. I came up headed to Breckenridge for the day and decided breakfast was needed. Homey atmosphere with 17 tables inside and 7 tables outside with crank up fabric umbrellas. The menu has standard breakfast & lunch items, each no more than $15. Some locals, others like me from Denver and I overheard 2 other conversations from other languages. I started with a champagne mimosa with equal amounts of champagne and OJ. Very nice for $6. I decidedly to spurge and got their cinnamon roll for $10. Lots of cinnamon and drizzled with frosting. There was more frosting on the plate than on top, so a better appearance. I also got a full order of house-made French bread French toast with a side of crunchy bacon. Decadent yes! I was served by Richelle. She was stressed covering the inside tables (13 of 17) were occupied by herself. Their 2nd server was coming in at 9am. She was a trooper, still smiling. I tipped her 25%.

Have eaten here a number of times but never written a review. We drove over Guanella Pass today and stopped here for lunch before doing some shopping in Georgetown. Darek warned us that he was the only server and he seemed a little frazzled. Nevertheless he gave us great service and the food was up to the usual standard. I had the pork green chili with homemade jalapeño bread. It was delicious. We gave Darek a good tip. They've been here since '74 (50 years). They must be doing something right!

Cute little lunch spot to stop by during a long scenic Colorado drive or after a nice hike. The best part about Happy Cooker was their homemade bread-- thick, crusty, buttery slices of hearty goodness. 5/5 bread. You can't go wrong with any of the flavors-- I personally loved the roasted tomato basil bread the best, and thoroughly enjoyed it with vegetarian chili. Simple yet satisfying! My friend's tomato basil soup was lukewarm and tasted more like pink vodka pasta sauce rather than a nice tomato soup. However her jalapeño bread was delicious and saved the "soup". I cannot speak in detail on the burrito my friend ordered, but he rated it a 5/10. I think their loaves are only $8. If I were able, I would return to buy some loaves! Not much else though.

Quaint, charming place with lovingly prepared food. My salad included strawberries, pecans, and blue cheese with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette and a huge thick slice of country-style homemade white bread with tangy red peppers baked in! They are famous for this bread, deservedly! From what I understand, it's different each day. My friend had a basic breakast,, and hubby had a French Dip. Staff is amazing, atmosphere is antique, and they let you know your table is ready by text. This is a unique, homey place. Outdoor seating in warm weather.

It has that classic local bar feel - relaxed, welcoming, and full of personality. Most of the crowd seemed to be locals, aside from us and a couple of other tables grabbing a later dinner. That's usually a good sign. The drink selection had plenty of options, and the atmosphere made it easy to settle in and stay awhile. We kept it simple with a few neat pours of whiskey and enjoyed soaking in the vibe. We didn't try the food this visit, but after seeing what was coming out of the kitchen, we'll definitely be back to do that next time. ***TREVOR NEEDS A RAISE***…read more I had an awesome experience at Breckenridge Tap House. Right when we walked in the whole place just had a super relaxed vibe. There was no wait at all, which is pretty rare in Breckenridge, especially during ski season. We got seated right away and everything felt easy from the start. It was the kind of place where you can just kick back after a day on the mountain and grab some good food. Our waiter Trevor was an absolute chiller. Seriously one of the most laid-back and friendly servers I've had in a while. He came over right away, brought us waters, and just had a super good attitude the whole time. Instead of rushing through everything like some places do, he actually talked with us and made the whole experience feel way more personal. One thing we really appreciated was how cool he was about the menu. My son wanted to order off the kids menu and Trevor had no issue with it at all. He didn't make it weird or complicated, he just said no problem and took the order. Little things like that go a long way and made the whole meal way smoother. The food also came out really fast and everything we got was solid. Trevor kept checking in at the perfect times and made sure our waters stayed full without being annoying about it. He also talked with us about skiing and the conditions around Breckenridge, which was cool because we had just been out on the mountain. It felt like talking to someone who actually enjoys the town and the people coming through. The best part was honestly after we left. We accidentally forgot something at the table and didn't realize until we were already outside. When we came back, Trevor was literally waiting with it ready to give it back to us. That kind of thing doesn't happen everywhere. Overall the service was great, the food came out fast, and Trevor was an absolute chiller the entire time. I'd definitely come back here again.

We ordered takeout: one medium Spicy Hawaiian pizza, one pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom pizza on a gluten-free crust, and 2.5 pounds of buffalo wings. The Spicy Hawaiian pizza had a nice balance of toppings -- not too much pineapple, tasty diced ham, and just the right amount of jalapeños. However, the "spicy arrabbiata" sauce tasted more like a basic spaghetti sauce, and the crust was disappointingly tough. Since it's a wood-fired pizza place, I was expecting a crisp crust and cheese with a little browning, but the cheese was just melted with no color or char. The pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom pizza had great-tasting meats, though there weren't many mushrooms. The gluten-free crust actually had a better texture than the regular one -- softer and less chewy, which was a pleasant surprise. Once again, though, the cheese could have used that nice wood-fired browning to elevate the flavor. The buffalo wings were full wings (not separated into drumettes and flats). Personally, I prefer them separated since full wings are harder to manage, but they were flavorful and the buffalo sauce itself was excellent -- bold, tangy, and well-balanced. The atmosphere really stood out. The restaurant is spotless (as you'd expect from a brand-new place), and the staff were fantastic -- genuinely friendly and conversational while I waited for my order. They even offered me a complimentary water, which was a thoughtful touch. The total for two medium pizzas and 2.5 pounds of wings came to about $75 including tip. That's a bit steep for takeout, but I recognize that prices everywhere are climbing these days. All in all, Copper Kitchen Pizzeria has great potential. The ingredients and staff are solid, but the execution on the wood-fired pizzas -- especially the crust texture and cheese finish -- could use some improvement. I'd happily give it another try down the line once they've had a little more time to settle in.

Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. After our meals were delivered, our server rarely checked back. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, and our water glasses sat empty long enough that we finally had to ask another server for refills. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn't the level of service you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. One thing to know before you go--the prices are on the higher side. My burger and Parmesan fries were around $33, so this isn't your average burger joint. That said, the quality of the food helps justify the price. Overall, the kitchen absolutely delivers, and that's why we'll be back.
