I originally left a review after a terrible experience at Stoney's about a month ago. Disorganized, long waits, no system, and staff that could not care less. That part alone earned the review. What happened next is where it goes from bad to embarrassing. Within a day of posting that review, two of their employees, people who have never done business with my company, decided the appropriate response was to go leave fake negative reviews on my business, McAfee Electric. Not a misunderstanding. Not a coincidence. Straight retaliation. So I updated my review with screenshots showing exactly what they did and reached out to management multiple times to give them a chance to fix it. Instead of addressing it, they doubled down. I was told my review was "emotionally based" and that I should be ashamed for including screenshots that show their employees' names and the reviews they chose to post publicly. Think about that for a second. Their employees publicly post fake reviews, and somehow I am the problem for documenting it. That tells you everything you need to know about how this place operates. Bad service is one thing. Every business has an off day. But retaliating against a customer's livelihood and then trying to spin it as the customer being "emotional" is next level unprofessional. If this is how they handle criticism, imagine how they handle anything that actually matters. Plenty of places in Winter Park that know how to run a restaurant and act like professionals. So happy to have a Stoney's location in Winter Park! It was perfect for a quick bite and drink after a day skiing and before our shuttle arrived. Our server was very quick and helpful. Ok, first of all, it really is priced ok for a ski side restauraunt. The food was A-OK, thought the waffle fries at the top of the gondola (Sunspot) are better. The happy hour is, well, happy, and the margaritas were pretty good. My only real complaint is that when the bill came, the tip options were like 20%, 30% or 35%. There was also a 3% Bidenomics surcharge on there labled as a 'hardship' fee or some such. I get that back of house workers need a little love these days, but please don't sneak it onto my bill after asking me for a wildly high tip. Tons of screens for the sports fans, clean bathrooms, and a generally nice vibe. All in all, good stuff! read more

Stoney's!!!! (Insert huge smile and satisfaction all around here!) Winter Park resort is located right across the street from the restaurant. When the group I was with picked this place I was apprehensive; saying "ugh, let me Yelp this place and see what greasy food they have that's going to give me a stomach ache). Baybeeeee to my surprise the food and service were top 10! The ambiance was cute too with a mix between high tops, booths and regular tables. It was 8 of us in our party and the wait staff handled us with ease and humor. One waitress seemed to be training and didn't make it seem like it at all! We used to really love Stoneys. The food was delicious, however it isn't the same as it was when they opened, I have gotten the Philly Cheese steak before and it was so good. Had it last night and the meat was tough and dry. No one in our party finished their food. The chicken wings were round balls of chicken dipped on sauce. Went for dinner tonight, a group of 7 people. Took us 30 min , min, to be seated. The waitress was super rude and ignored us for a long time. She then said you don't need another table as she "thought" we already had a table to sit. The establishment was chilly inside; the service was okay. My husband and son had burgers and ended up with food poisoning that ruined the rest of our stay at Winter Park resort. We missed out on a full day of snowboarding and enjoying the grounds because both of them were vomiting and experiencing diarrhea over the next 24+ hrs. The Mercantile shop on the grounds was completely sold out of anti-diarrheal meds of ALL kinds so we are sure we aren't the only ones that were affected. I had the chicken tortilla soup so I was/am fine, thank goodness. Pretty disappointing given how expensive the resort area is. We won't be returning to Stoney's when we return to Winter Park for our next snowboarding/skiing vacation. read more

We go to Stoney's every time we come to Winter Park. The staff are great, particularly Alicia. She's fantastic, hard-working, and hilarious! We always feel at home when we go to Stoney's. The food is great, their happy hour has a great selection, and the overall ambiance is fun and has a lot of positive energy. We've never had a bad experience, and we've been coming to Winter Park in January and April for several years. Stoney's is the first place we hit up when we come to the resort. We've had everything from wings to burgers to their party fries. Everything is made fresh and served quickly. I can't brag enough about this place. Highly recommend! read more

We loved Stoneys! Our waitresses Tia and Jennifer were very attentive and friendly. Me and my husband each ordered the one pound wings. I also got a half chicken Caesar salad on the side. The 1 pound wings have 7 large wings. When I say large, I do mean LARGE. The pictures don't do it's justice. Coming from someone who loves BWW mango habanero wings but absolutely hate the Wingstop version, I'd say the flavor met my expectation. It's was sweet, with the spicy kick to it. My husband ordered the BBQ and he enjoyed them. Now the salad. When they brought it out, I thought there was a mix up with my order. The salad came in a very deep bowl. I can only imagine how big the full size salad is. This salad was very good. I love a good ol Caesar, but theirs is unique in a good way. We stopped in here to kick off our snowboarding vacation. We got in around 5 pm and they still had happy hour going which was 2 for 1! We had a couple of appetizers, the pretzel with cheese and mustard and the trio dip and chips. The dips were queso, guacamole, and pico. All really good! Especially the cheese sauce! I'm a sucker for a good cheese sauce and this one did not disappoint! We had a great server who helped me concoct a great drink that would fit in with what was on happy hour! They have Deep Eddy vodka for their well which is really good! I ended up with lemonade vodka, soda water, and a splash of grapefruit juice! Pretty good!
