We went for ice cream and this place did not disappoint, I had bing cherry and it was the best I've had in a long time. Shanna had swampy road, it had nuts, marshmello, pretzel pieces, and a bunch of other stuff. It was really really good, Shanna never gets chunky stuff in her ice cream and she loved it. read more

We stopped by after the mine tour because ice cream always sounds good and we were not disappointed. The place itself is pretty cool and has a lot to look at. I ordered the praline ice cream which unfortunately I didn't get a picture of because I immediately started eating it lol but that's proof of how good it was. The shop owner was super cool and friendly as was the cashier. Of course I had to leave a review, what's not to like? read more

The nostalgic ambience upon entering this historic town is a must see.I love their butter pecan handmade ice cream, and they have so much more flavors. The handmade fudge bars are super fresh tasting and must haves. I purchase them for family and friend's birthdays and holiday gifts. They have the best truffles I have ever eaten, and they make them there as well. They also have sugar free candies which I buy for my brother who's diabetic. I visit this shop several times a month and they seem to always fulfill my sweet tooth cravings. read more

This candy shop had the best service I've received at a candy shop! We were being helped by a gentleman who served in the Navy. He was super kind, helpful, and funny. I enjoyed being at this store and I will be recommending it to others who are in Georgetown. read more

My 1 star rating is based only on my experience with specific candies which I purchased 6/7/2026. This store had opened one hour earlier than normal to accommodate our tour group. I bought 2 containers of Peanut Brittle and 2 containers of Homemade Coconut Crisps for $43.80. I gave away 3 containers of brittle as gifts and kept 1 box of Coconut Crisps. Unfortunately, almost all of the candies were thrown away because they were so hard that they were almost impossible to eat. One person said he tried to use a hammer to make the pieces much smaller. I tried to soften up the crisps in the microwave but then they became very sticky and too difficult to eat in that form too. So, it is probably best to buy something other than brittle at this store. read more

Super delicious home made candies and ice cream! Love the staff here and come by once a year after seeing the fall foliage! The gentleman that served our ice cream was super friendly and gave us bunch of samples to try out! We got the Butter Brickle which was delicious, probably the best ice cream I've had ever! read more

Whoa! This is a major great place! Everything home made using premium ingredients. Lots of ice cream flavors. My particular favorites are black walnut & black cherry. Black walnut is hard to find but they have it! The Black cherry has decent size chunks of cherry & is so yummy. I'm originally from Michigan & Mackinaw Island is known for their fudge & while I won't go so far as to say Georgetown Valley Candy's fudge is equivalent, it's pretty good & location is a couple thousand miles closer. Give it a try. You definitely won't be sorry. read more

If you're in Georgetown, do yourself a favor and stop at this adorable candy shop! Very nostalgic with all of the homemade candies and chocolate and fudge and fun treats. It smells exactly how you would want and expect an old fashioned candy shop to smell like - & they're making fresh treats throughout the day so that only helps how delicious it smells in there! Walnut and pecan fudge were both amazing but there's so many interesting flavors to choose from!! Besides all of the wonderful fresh candy and chocolate, there are so many cute trinkets, stuffed animals and souvenirs to enjoy also. read more

We stopped in for a treat after a day of skiing and had a wonderful experience! Kirk was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring we each got the best flavor of ice cream for our tastes! The ice cream was amazing, and we also picked up some chocolates to bring home. Everything made in house and amazing service! Worth a stop! read more

After doing your outdoor activities, make a stop at Downtown Georgetown for some ice cream and snacks. It's located at the corner of a block near the end. It's a small location but there are so many fun treats. There's popcorn, chocolate, and ice cream. There was a section in the back where it looks like they're making chocolate. I got the peanut butter cups and they were delicious. It was a nice amount and balance between chocolate and peanut butter. I also got a single scoop of pistachio ice cream and it was huge. But the ice cream was delicious. I enjoyed the pistachio pieces. Definitely will make a stop here more often when I'm in the area. read more

Awesome service! Awesome gifts! Got some fun coasters that had us laughing while we enjoyed Mountain View's and cold sweet treats!

Interesting ice cream / candy shop that also offers a variety of unique souvenirs / trinkets in addition to great ice cream. I got two ice cream scoops: coconut chip and turtle fudge. The coconut chip was especially good. The turtle fudge was also good but a little too sweet for my liking. Some of the fudge pieces were also a bit hard for me to chew. As mentioned, this place sells a ton of different kinds of house-made candy along with lots of interesting small assorted items ranging from mugs to jewelry to artwork to books and more. The guy who served me behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. They have a few tables inside for seating. There is also a parking lot nearby, which is convenient. Overall, if you're looking for ice cream or house made candy in Georgetown, CO, then this is probably the place to be. read more

Cute little shop with candy and ice cream. The ice cream is super yummy and a great little treat to eat and walk around in the town or sit on a bench. They sell fudge as well which was really good. I got the raspberry sorbet which wasn't as tart as I like my sorbet but it was still very good. Service was super friendly. read more

Man o Man is this place over the top. We went in for the ice cream, but there is a lot more to it than that. Hand made candies, cool things to decorate your house, and then the ICE CREAM. Their idea of a single scoop on a sugar cone is like a whole pint of ice cream. We are not just talki'n vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, I selected a pralines and cream and my wife selected a butter pecan. The taste was so delicious and the amount was more than you can hope for. The service is awesome and old school with jokes being told throughout your entire experience. What and awesome experience and some very tasty ice cream, then get her quick. read more

The ice cream and people are amazing in a beautiful authentic old restaurant/salon setting! A must do in Georgetown

The cutest candy shop in an adorable town! We had some extra time before taking the Georgetown Loop train ride, and so glad we did, because we discovered this candy store and brought home some delicious treats. I bought the butter pecan fudge and wish I had purchased even more because it was so good! My husband chose the milk chocolate pecan clusters and those were delicious as well! The candy made it back home via plane in pristine condition, so definitely stock up if you go! read more

10/10. Their chocolate is supreme S1 Tier. I usually get th peanut butter chocolate smooches, turkey legs and cashew pinwheels. Amazing. And the ice cream, uuf. Amazing. Because our out-of-town visitors hadn't ventured into the mountains of Colorado, my husband and I decided a day trip was in order. Our first top - Georgetown! Filled with the cutest shops, delicious restaurants and a killer view, Georgetown definitely gives off the quaint mountain town vibe and happens to be one of my favorites! We started out shopping on Main Street, and stumbled upon Georgetown Valley Candy Company, realizing we needed a sweet treat. SPACE: First to greet us was a little dining area, with vintage tables and chairs available to enjoy sweet treats. The walls surrounding the dining area are filled with trinkets, treasures and other cute souvenirs available for purchase. As we moved inward, we noticed a massive case full of handmade cookies, candy, fudge and caramel corn which legit made my mouth drool. As we moved around the extensive selection of goodies, we easily entertained ourselves with the large collection of kid's toys, stuffed animals, games and more that filled the space. Although decent in size, the space itself feels a bit cramped, but makes for a fun experience. SUSTENANCE: oh my god! I can't even begin with how rich and delicious everything tasted! We opted for a can of the Caramel Corn mixed with almonds for a sweet and salty bite to take home - which was outstanding. The five of us opted to all try at least something from the case (fresh caramel, white chocolate covered Oreo, peanut turtle, boozy chocolate and more!), all of which tasted amazing. Perfectly made and gorgeous in presentation! Also offered - ice cream! Everything you could want can be found here and you must indulge! STAFF: The 3 staff members who assisted us in our orders were downright awesome. They helped in giving us their recommendations, providing samples of just about anything and packaged our order up beautifully. SPECIALS: Due to the upcoming holiday season, almost all the delicious treats were on sale! For our items out of the case, a pound of gummy worms/bears, and the tin of caramel corn - our total was just shy of $20! On our next adventure in Georgetown, I know we'll be back! read more

Amazing place! great chocolate! Great treats!! You need to stop by when in Georgetown!

The good: Cute little shop, old timey candy that you can sometimes watch being made Ice cream is good Hard candy is good Brittle is good The bad: All of the chocolate (including white) based items are... not good. They use vanilin instead of vanilla and quite a few other artificial fillers that I wouldn't expect from an old fashioned shop like this. The flavor tasted plasticky. Customer service is hit or miss depending on who is working. Worth the visit for nostalgia or a cone, but skip the chocolate! read more

Today I was introduced to one of my new favorite ice cream flavors! Sourcream and Poppyseed! Don't knock it til you try it! Creamy deliciousness, not overly sweet and I enjoyed mine on waffle cone. I'm craving more just thinking about it. They offer other fun ice cream flavors in addition to taffy, fudge, toffee and other delicate candies! Friendly staff and fun gifts. A sweet and satisfying little gem in Georgetown. read more

UHHH-MAZING!!! We visited Georgetown, CO for the first time and came across the candy company. This store was so nostalgic, warm and inviting! The fudge and ice cream were so good! They had these candy almonds that were so yummy as well! Besides the atmosphere and the quality of foods, the service was top-notch! Everyone was so nice (Bobbie and Emmie, and we cannot remember the name, but he was a very nice Man at the front!). We came back the 2nd day just to talk to the employees one last time. They treated us like Family and provided our young boys with the best experience! We will be ordering more goodies online and hope to visit them again very soon! - Love, your Texas Family! read more

Amazing treats and ice cream, perfect spot to stop on your way back to Denver from Summit County

Literally the best ice cream I've ever had in my life! I will absolutely be returning on my next ski trip in summit county.

Took the railroad and decided to walk around town. Such a quaint store. Filled with Knick knacks and yummy goodies. The teens loved looking at everything. There were squishies, keychains, stuffed animals, candy, ice cream and chocolate among other things. Wandered around and then couldn't help myself. Had to get them some cute charms for luck and some chocolate for me. We tried the orange chocolate sticks and I had an eclair. He didn't like the orange sticks as too much orange gel candy in it but I ate them all. The eclair was delicious. We will visit again if we come up as it's a cute store. Maybe try some ice cream next time. We were still frozen from the rail ride so too cold this time. read more

Best. Ice cream. Seriously! I visit Georgetown for this ice cream. Small family business, wonderful people and staff, so many flavors (also really cute shop with homemade candy and toys/gifts). Crazy selection of premium candy, and less premium but popular stuff too. Of course they make their own fudge! Thank goodness for the mask mandate - far too cramped for effective distancing, and not everyone makes an effort. Fun and funny staff serve tasty ice cream and sorbet. Tried rainbow sherbet for the first time in decades... yum! Refreshing on a warm afternoon. Georgetown is a wonderful little stop off I-70 - get a cone at this shop, and then stroll the Main Street (currently pedestrianized). I was in with my family a few days ago, waiting in line as the store was pretty packed with people, i overheard the man who appeared to be the manager or owner freak out over icecream in the sink behind the counter, he very clearly started since the employees want to waste money, the employees would not receive any sort of raise or gratitude for the year. I already know they do not let their employees receive tips from customers. I just felt horrible for the employees. Since they clearly dont value their employees they no longer value my business. read more

What a cute little candy place. They offer homemade candies, chocolate and ice cream. Since I'm gluten free and dairy free I didn't eat anything but my group did. They said the chocolate candies and ice cream was amazing. They have prepackaged items for sale and lots of Disney stuff. Tables are inside to sit or you can walk around their cute downtown. The staff was super friendly and was able to give more details about the town. It's live to talk to locals. I'm sure we will return. read more
