These owners have the worst business etiquette/model in River Run. What has led me to write such a disappointing review is the fact that they CLOSE AT 7 or 8 pm. Sometimes even 6 if they "feel like it". While most people aren't even done with dinner (or haven't even started)! Yes, there are some people who want ice cream mid day and that's fine. But most people want ice cream after dinner. I understand some retail (clothing) closing early but not ice cream. They people who work there are also not incredibly friendly. I won't be supporting them anymore. Since there is no other ice cream in River run, I'll be going to the convenience store from now on. My daughter really wanted ice cream (in the dead of winter). The place was busy, but not because of customers but because of contractors. Come to find out they were closed because of a water leak. So we asked the owner if he knew where another ice cream place was, he said all you want is ice cream, "I can do that" and gave us an ice cream cone for free. read more

Came in on a (cold) January day for fro-yo in early afternoon. Not surprisingly, not busy. We got 2 cups - vanilla and the other was caramel pretzel. 4 flavors to choose from. Nice assortment of candies and toppings. Price was ok. Kind of high but you're in a ski resort so that was not unusual. Lots of other candies - especially Jelly Belly's. An assortment of "fancy" chocolates looked good. Didn't get any. We'd go back. :-) read more

The workers there are all nice. That's really all you ask for when you walk into these places. They have these elk bratwursts that, along with chili and cheese, are exactly what you need when you're worn out and exhausted from your runs. read more

Came here for lunch because the other restaurants I like to go to were packed. I was the only customer at the time. Bratwurst was pretty good, I also got a piece of Mint Bark. Reasonably priced. However, their cash register doesn't appear to make receipts for the customer. The person behind the counter offered to handwrite one, but I knew it would not be exactly what I wanted. So the person behind the counter willingly read off the line items on their detail tape. The person behind the counter was so nice about it. (Yeah, I'm rather picky about my receipts because I keep very detailed records.) The person behind the counter thought that they only charged the sales tax, but not the resort fee. Well, when I got home and "did the math backwards," I discovered.... YES THEY DO charge the 6.4% resort fee. They just lump it all with the "tax." Came here for a $5 brat and $2.50 hot chocolate. The guy at the stand (I think the owner's nephew was really nice!) The brat was pretty good! It was a tad spicy! I added ketchup and mustard and yum! SNACKSHACK is a wonderful little local business in the keystone village. The options and variety are massive and they have good quality brats and frozen yogurt. Prices are super reasonable for keystone village and the staff is always friendly. There is ample seating outside and a 1 min walk to the gondola or fire pit. I love there sour candy offerings especially! A register with android and apple pay would be a big help speeding up checkout as the traffic often comes in big waves of people. All in all, it is a great place to stop that always brings me back to my childhood! I hope they continue to succeed and thrive in the village as it would never be the same without them. read more

Great place to take a little break from the mountain. Their prices are not that bad and the food was pretty good. We got some empanadas and they were really good. We got beef, chorizo, and chicken empanadas they were all very good but my favorite was the chorizo, I would recommend getting that. read more

My kids love this place! It's a great stop for treats after a day of skiing! There are tons of different choices from gummies to chocolates to either buy alone or place as a topping on your frozen yogurt. My husband and I loved eating the empanadas too - we tried beef, chicken and mushroom and they were all good. Service is fast, even when it's crowded. A cute place for both kids and adults. read more
