The inside of the restaurant was dirty, with crumbs and gritty chairs, vinyl booths were torn and taped together. The owner was unaware of customers waiting to order as he stood at the cash register doing something but not communicating to customers. Never eat here.

The service was great despite it taking awhile to take our orders; once we put our orders in, the food came out pretty quick. Our food was good, nothing memorable, with mostly typical diner food. The Chilaquiles was good, that was memorable! They had some non pork options which I appreciated it. And a good price point too!

It was also my first time trying Ethiopian influenced food, and it felt like a great introduction. The dish had warmth, depth, and a kind of layered spice profile that felt both new and comforting at the same time. Overall, a really memorable meal in Aspen especially the oxtail, which alone is worth going for.

They did not have a happy hour, though their website had implied they did (maybe it's only in…read morewinter?). However, the food was very good (except my salad). The salad was just very basic, small, and sad for the price it cost to add it to my soup. As it was labeled a "house salad," I thought it would be similar in description to the house salad labeled on the menu under the "salads." It was a bit more basic than that. In the future, I probably wouldn't bother with adding it. The mashed potato option seemed more pricey than I thought it would be worth, so I opted not to do that. Their soups are very hearty and do not skimp. For the price point, I think this is pretty solid. Their drinks are also solid. The service was fast and kind. It was a great day to sit outside with some hearty soups on their patio.

Seriously, I had a cup of their clam chowder, and a bowl of the Habanero Chile and pork stew, with sliced bread and butter. Wow! The clam chowder was very good, but that stew was super delicious. It was so good, we had to go back the next evening to do it all over again. This time I ordered the Chicken and sausage stew, which was also delicious. I would have gone a third night, if I didn't have to get back to So Cal the next morning. The prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly, prompt and professional. I highly recommend this place and just pray they will be open when I return in October.

I prefer my burger on the well side, so I liked how it was cooked. But if you prefer more medium, you might have to ask, because I don't think you would have liked it. We got the fried mushrooms, which were good. Potato wedges and French fries (lol) -- I don't remember which one I liked better, I just remember that they needed salt. And my favorite side were the onion rings! The staff was nice-- we upped the size on our fries from small to large, and they had no problem with it (we did this at the window). We took it to go, so I can't comment on the dining experience if you eat on site. But there is an outdoor covered patio. My only other comment was that they stuffed too much food into one bag. There were three of us, and they fit all three burgers and sides into one bag, so by the time we got back to the hotel, the burger all the way on the bottom was completely squished. We obviously still ate it, and it tasted fine, but was just a little sad looking. Next time I'm in Glenwood, I'll definitely be back!
