Husband & I tried for the first time for breakfast a few weeks ago. Awesome Everything Bagels hit the spot! RFV has desperately needed scrumptious bagels for ages! I learned they are made in NJ--so the soft chewy bagels give New York! Yum! When we go for bagels, we always see their sub orders, which looked delish. Today we decided to order subs for lunch: our go-tos are turkey with the works. They make a solid sub! Super fresh roll! This sub is up there with some of the best subs we've had! Super cute space! & Love their welcoming service! Highly recommend! Just wish they were open later so we could have matzoh ball soup, and latkes for dinner! We also love breakfast for dinner so we would be there at least twice a week if they were open later! We HEART Ploskys!!! read more

Clean, urban style deli. Friendly faces at the counter. But the food was killer. I got a simple turkey and cheese sandwich- most certainly what I would call a HOAGIE and it was such a treat. It was East Coast authentic and delicious with a generous helping of turkey and pepper spread that was a really nice touch. Stopped here on whim while passing through Carbondale and I'm sure glad I did! I know where to stop next time I'm in town. read more

Phenomenal sandwiches, especially the hot sammies. Friends visiting from New York (with arguably the best delis around, right?) said the pastrami on rye was the best they've ever had. So good! Trying to get takeout orders is slightly annoying. The 3 "15 minute parking" spots are always full with folks dining-in, so trying to find parking becomes a pain every time. I wish that was enforced for take-out only more. We would grab takeout here more if it weren't for that. read more

When I decided that I was going to be moving to Carbondale and the Central Rockies from the culinary Mecca of Northern California, I definitely wasn't expecting a Jewish deli in my new city, and certainly not one steps away from my home. So you can imagine my pleasant surprise when I saw one through the window of my U-Haul two days ago upon my arrival. Why it took me two days to get here is a question I'll continue to ask myself because Plosky's delivers and more! From the friendly staff to the comfy atmosphere to the AMAZING culinary treats, I can safely say I've never had a deli quite like this anywhere I've lived, let alone in the middle of the mountains. While I haven't tried their bagels yet, they look awesome in the display case and I'm sure I'll be taking a half dozen home with me next time. Whether you're a local like me or dropping by on your way to Aspen/Snowmass, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop by Plosky's for a bite to eat. I love lots of their food; however, to stay in the "true Jewish deli style, they should reconsider the "shaved meats" for pastrami and corned beef sandwich! Not true to a true Jewish deli where the meat is sliced not shaved! I truly dislike and won't buy any pastrami or corned beef sandwich which I crave! Don't shave it! Against true ny Jewish style. I haven't gone back after trying to communicate this and have asked for the slice corned beef to replace " unconventional shaved". Can't seem to understand my wish! Disappointed, but for now will have to buy my own sliced corned beef and make the true Jewish deli sandwich I'm familiar with. read more
