The service was wonderful. Everything we ate was good. The halibut fish and chips was huge and the batter was perfect. It didn't get soggy and the tartar sauce was homemade. The trout was also amazing..sooo good

Came here for brunch. Cool spot with industrial interiors located right in the center of Carbondale's Main Street - pear salad with fried goat cheese Refreshing - pie with brown sugar cinnamon ice cream I was really impressed by the brown sugar cinnamon ice cream!! Service was a little slow during brunch hour as there was only one waitress

We enjoyed a nice dinner here! Note that tables are extremely close together-not an issue for us but some may not prefer. Our waitress was very kind. I got three vegetable sides for a vegan option and it was plenty of food! I loved the "purple potatoes" (although not purple) and the mushrooms. The broccolini was also good with quite a kick to it. It's typical higher prices as you will find in this area. We were able to be seated on a Friday night around 6:30 with no wait!

Our experience started with Avery, an amazing and friendly hostess who kept us informed and entertained throughout the evening. I've never had a pork chop that delicious (and enormous) in my life and can't wait to go back and have the same dish again along with the sides that it came with, the pear and goat cheese salad was also one of my all time favorite salads, this place is a hidden gem. The prices were very reasonable for the area as well. My mother loved the fresh trout and the boys had the sirloin steak that came in a cast iron skillet and was also perfect. Lastly, the ambience was very rustic and made you feel like you were eating at yellowstone ranch, very Comfortable and well decorated. We will be back soon.

Staying in Marble Colorado and coming down to Carbondale for all the delicious choices in restaurants ... we always seem to come back to brass and anvil mainly because, the food is delicious the ambience is just right and the staff are so friendly and gracious we had the Coloradorainbow trout Campfire style and it was so delicious we can't wait to come back and have it again!

Very solid food, drinks and service. Went in for lunch but would come back for dinner. Cocktails were tasty and balanced as well. Very cute date place

Our group of friends have been friends for 12 years. We try and get together often but you know how life is, it gets in the way. Any way, we were vacationing in the area and wanted to have a late lunch in town. When we arrived at Brass and Anvil, Dylan was the only server there. He sat us, waited on us, was the bartender and was just delightful! He was very attentive, even though he had several tables, and made us feel like we were the only ones there. We were not originally going to go here, it just wasn't on our radar. But the drinks were delicious and the food was to die for! Thank you for a wonderful experience Dylan! We appreciated you for going above and beyond for us!

Carbondale needed an upper-class steakhouse like Brass & Anvil. Service was excellent!

I had some Colorado Lamb and all of their food could be served with linen and Crystal in a formal dining room. Seriously... Don't let the curb appeal drive you away from this place because the food is great and the people were really nice. Highly recommend coming here and then afterwards you're right on the river and you can take a walk in the public park to walk off the excellent meal you experience.

Met Joe by chance several years ago when he first opened and was impressed both by his personality and his eagerness to have us come visit, sow we did. It was an adventure in cuisine then and has been on each visit. I was happy to see the growth in both the number of tables, patrons and the increased menu. There were 6 of us and each enjoyed their entree and the desert. The service was excellent and the personel were superb in their care of the patrons. Joe seemed to know a large number of them and amazingly rememberd me from last year and greeted my parents asking after them. I highly recommend this lovely place, especially if you are looking for some delicious and adventerous food. Again, a great place to spend a couple of hours with good friends. Rich Hunt Oregon

We started with a couple drinks and an appetizer from the happy hour menu. She was nice enough to let us order a second round before happy hour ended but waited until we finished our first drinks to make them. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious and probably some of the best I've ever had. She said they pickle the tomatoes before they fry them. For dinner, I had the gumbo with a side of mac and cheese. It was fantastic and the perfect portion size. My colleague had the ribs with sides of a biscuit, coleslaw, and brussel sprouts. I was able to take a few bites and it was all great. We didn't have a single complaint throughout our meal. Overall, cute restaurant right off the main road from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. Plenty of parking, small clean dining area, and a beautiful small bar with a TV. We will definitely be back!

The salad was just very basic, small, and sad for the price it cost to add it to my soup. As it was labeled a "house salad," I thought it would be similar in description to the house salad labeled on the menu under the "salads." It was a bit more basic than that. In the future, I probably wouldn't bother with adding it. The mashed potato option seemed more pricey than I thought it would be worth, so I opted not to do that. Their soups are very hearty and do not skimp. For the price point, I think this is pretty solid. Their drinks are also solid. The service was fast and kind. It was a great day to sit outside with some hearty soups on their patio.

It smells wonderful, like you were back at home, waiting on Sunday Supper when you enter. Definitely not fancy, but the staff quickly greets you with a warm friendly welcome smile and some great tips on what to expect. It seems like they are only willing to hype up whatever they are serving in a modest way, because they seem to really enjoy the over-the-top reactions that will follow, once the meal is served. Seriously, I had a cup of their clam chowder, and a bowl of the Habanero Chile and pork stew, with sliced bread and butter. Wow! The clam chowder was very good, but that stew was super delicious. It was so good, we had to go back the next evening to do it all over again. This time I ordered the Chicken and sausage stew, which was also delicious. I would have gone a third night, if I didn't have to get back to So Cal the next morning. The prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly, prompt and professional. I highly recommend this place and just pray they will be open when I return in October.
