I visited Recoop spa while visiting Bellevue a few weeks ago and I had the most amazing facial and scalp massage with Kat! She was so unbelievably sweet and easy to talk to. She talked me through everything she was doing and was very accommodating to my preferences such as turning on the fan for me as I was feeling warm. Madi gave me a wonderful pedicure. I had stopped getting pedicures for a very long time after having issues with ingrown toenails but she 100% gave me hope that I can continue to get them again. The entire staff is wonderful and I love that this place is AAPI and Female owned!! I live in CA, but I definitely see myself stopping by here whenever I'm in WA. I might even come just to have another visit at Recoop :) read more

This spa does not feel like a spa. there, I said it. The outside looks like a woke headquarters that yells acceptance with rainbows and a big banner, not attractive, nor inviting. once you enter it feels like a gift shop with overfilled shelves that feel frantic and string lights like my teen daughter has in her room. I am all about acceptance, my son is gay, not that that is anyone's business. apparently it is everyone's business at the Recoop what their social views are. As a business owner myself, keeping your business neutral is appreciated by clients from all walks of life, you do not need to advertise your social views. that being said, let's address a welcome/ reception staff that makes you feel like an imposition instead of a welcome client. There's validated parking connected to the building. I arrived 15 minutes early and was able to sit in a private waiting area stocked with snacks and refreshments. I got the ultimoot facial and it was amazing! My esthetician, Roxy could tell my skin was a little dry so she went and grabbed specific products to use on my skin. It was really relaxing. I got to pick the music genre and when I wanted to just relax and not talk, she respected that. And when I had questions, she answered all of them! There's also a little scalp massage portion which was so nice! The products all smelt and felt great on my skin. As far as I could tell, they used mostly Caudalie products. read more

One of my favourite spa experiences ever was here this weekend! I was getting mani-pedis done with my mom and little sister and the overall vibe of the spa was so nice and relaxing. We usually go to Gene Juarez, but after this experience I don't think we'll ever go back to get our nails done. The technician I had, Olivia was so kind and patient. I wanted a white for my toes but the colour I picked out was milkier than I expected. Olivia was quick to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, picking out a different colour for me that I loved. Olivia went above and beyond for me while doing my nails. I like to keep mine long but had a tiny break in my right thumbnail. Olivia used nail glue to keep it together and I can't even tell it was broken. I'm so glad I got to keep the long length of my nails. I wasn't sure how I wanted the shape but Olivia did an amazing job shaping them. They look perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better gel manicure, it looks so sleek. We ended up getting a membership and I look forward to many more amazing manicures from Olivia. read more

Unfortunately this spot has gone from great to bad over the past year. I used to have a membership and they cancelled it after they switched systems. I asked to be a member again multiple times (phone, email and in person) and they said yes each time, but then would not charge my card the membership prices. I was originally supposed to see them a few days ago, but there was a glitch in their computer system (things happen!) so while I had the confirmations of my appointments, it was not scheduled on their end. Kaitlyn at the front desk was so professional and kind, and the manager was quick to remedy the situation to get me in asap. I just had my spa day and it was phenomenal. The facial by Roxy was incredible and my manicure and pedicure were perfect. The salon was exceptionally clean, and I loved that they curate the spa day just for you (music, warmth, relaxation). Great manicure and pedicure with Vivian. She rescued my poor heels with Recoop's "healing treatment" pedicure, gave the best massage, and and was incredibly meticulous with my nails and cuticles. Every moment was delightful! I would only say that I would have liked some kind of hand massage, but I likely didn't get one because I only got the basic gel. Definitely on the pricier side ($120 for a gel mani/heeling pedi) but amazing. They still took my temp at the door and had me wash my hands first thing which I appreciated. I love how there is no back room so you can see how clean everything is. And while I'll admit I was skeptical of their armchair and sink basin method, I was entirely comfortable. read more

I walked in with mani/pedi appointment and 1 hour and 45 min later walked out with only pedi. Rude welcome desk staff, she targeted me and didn't even offer water (other customers were very politely served). And at the end she didn't even adjusted the price and wanted to charge me first service that were not able to complete (mani). Apparently they supposed to call me and ask if I had gel nail and tell me to remove it or they will charge me for the removal and extend my appointment because takes ~45 min. Pointless to say nobody did as it doesn't seem this business is functioning well. The only reason I stayed is because I had gift card with them and useless to say I won't return there and use my remaining money. read more

10.3.2020 I still cannot recommend Recoop enough! I've recently begun getting my nails done here regularly. The Japanese gel manicures are worth every penny! I've had other gel manicures from other salons before, but they usually lifted or chipped after 10 to 14 days. Jin's manicure lasted 3 weeks, no chipping or lifting. I am typing all day long, plus chasing after a baby and housework, and my nails look amazing! I got a fill after 3 weeks, but only because my nails grow very fast. Jin does an amazing job. She is so meticulous and gentle; no harsh drilling or aggressive filing. Recoop also has plastic dividers for safety, everyone wears masks, you wash your hands before you start your service, and you are seated more than a safe distance apart from others. My only wish is that parking was a little easier, but that is not Recoop's fault! They validate up to 2 hours of parking. I had to reschedule a few times, and their concierge service members were so courteous and helpful- even when I made the booking error! Treat yourself to Recoop; you deserve it! read more

Bought my massage through groupon. Was about 70$ for an hour long massage or something like that. Great COVID safety measures. Very nice masseuse. However I'm a little particular about my massages. TIP: Don't bother with their robes. They're uncomfortable, not soft and "run small". I have like a 50" bust line and felt a little exposed so they probably won't fit muscly men either. I almost exclusively get deep tissue massages. I want the pain so I feel better after. This time I got a Swedish and ended up feeling only a little relieved after but nothing extraordinary. However after having a CBD massage in Portland nothing. will. ever. compare. You leave feeling like a boiled noodle in the best way. 0% body or muscle pain. Heaven is for real. Unfortunately Recoop does not offer CBD oil massages to my knowledge. I will likely return to try a pedicure or manicure however, or maybe if I find another deal for a deep tissue massage. I wanted to love this place so much coz it was near my condo so what a good way to try it out through Groupon , I went in, I told them I had a Groupon and their face kinda changed. So fast forward I waited for a bit then my manicurist came out, fast forward I didn't like it that much, it was like a 3rd grader didn't my nails and I was so bummed, I paid money to try it out and didn't like it that much. I ignored my nails , low and behold the next day my nails started peeling and falling down, I had to catch a flight the next day and at the business class section my nails all fell down the gel polish I mean which was so embarrassing , I swore off this place coz it was my first experience where in gel nail polish peeled and was falling down in clunk Update : I would want to commend Tracey from Recoop , I gave her feedback and she was very adamant for me to try them again, they were very nice and Jen was so good taking care of my nails! My cousin gifted my fiancé and I an engagement gift from Groupon awhile ago for a couples massage at Recoop! I'm so happy we decided to redeem it before our wedding! Recoop is super clean and their receptionists are friendly and welcoming. Their changing and shower rooms are very tidy and they provide snacks and tea in the waiting space. Tracy and Eli were amazing and really made our experience so comfortable. Recoop's questionnaire took into consideration our pronouns, previous medical history, and even music preferences. I've been to this place a few times. The first time I was there, Lina did my manicure and caused my finger to bleed. I didn't say anything. I went there again yesterday, my first visit in a while. Lina was assigned to me again. I wanted to be polite so I didn't request to change a manicurist. Sure enough, when she was filling my nails, she started pushing my cuticles very hard using the nail file, without softening it first! I was very surprised. Then she started cutting my cuticles. This time two of my fingers bled. After I said to her that my fingers were bleeding, she still wasn't careful enough and caused another finger to bleed. She said "Sorry, but your cuticles are too soft." Do me a favor, don't try to blame it on the custom. Soft cuticles doesn't give you an excuse to make your customer's fingers bleed. I was able to talk to the front receptionist and switched to Marie. Marie was very careful and took care of me. I was gonna let it go but my fingers have been stinging since yesterday whenever my hands touch soap. And I think because she pushed too hard, it somehow damages my cuticles and it started peeling See image attached. I wouldn't say don't go to this place, cause other people I've met were great. I came here with a group of 8 people for a party. This place allows you to bring food and drinks in, and gives you plates napkins and some utensils. I guess they provide gloves if you ask but they don't give you the rubber ones they use, they gave us the cheap plastic kind. Cute little spa, great for the intimate party. Now this place is a bit pricey for what you're getting so be aware of that especially because it's in Bellevue. There is a parking lot behind the building that you're able to get validated. Nails wise, I got the recoop+pedi which was supposed to give a extra little massage, the main reason I wanted to do it. But there was no massage and barely even a rub I was very upset. The nail polish wall had a pretty good variety. I think there were 3 brands: and organic one, OPI, and Emma. I'm not sure if the pedicure was rushed because there were 8 of us, but even so we're paying the full amount. I came home to my left big toe hurting, and even a few days (less than a week) the nail polish chipped :( I had another nail technician look at my toe and she said that they cut my skin incorrectly and now it's infected. It's not horrible but then again shouldn't be having this issue. Overall, I think this is a good place to have a little party if you're okay with over priced nails. I'm just really upset I paid this much and ended up with an infected toe. Things seemed really clean and sterilized I think they just cut my toes and cuticle wrong. read more

I came here years ago and had a good experience but for some reason never went back until I saw a GroupOn pop up! I tried their signature facial and had an amazing and relaxing time! Ionie was my facialist and everything was so gentle and relaxing and left my skin feeling so smooth! I love how they have a survey beforehand asking what you wanted from your service (i.e. quiet, informative, or interactive?). I absolutely abhor going in wanting quiet and then being inundated with a chatty person so this survey was perfect! No complaints here! She also gently recommended products that would work for my skin type. Lily was late to my massage appointment (which happens). I still got my 60 minutes as scheduled. During the massage, she asked how the pressure was and when I asked for stronger pressure, she replied with "usually this is considered deep tissue massage, so this would usually be extra charge." Later in the massage, she asked me if I'm tipping her with card or cash, and reminded me to not forget to tip since she's doing such a good job. I recently visited this spa & booked the Ultimoot Treat which included a massage, facial & mani/pedi. They offer full service menu but there are zero bells & whistles. My husband joined me and we are spa regulars & have been to many. This wasn't what we were hoping for but since our regular go-to spa was fully booked with a large party I opted for keeping an open mind and booked because they had short notice availability. We walked in and it's a cute space decorated in cool grey tones throughout. We were escorted to a very small unisex locker area with bathroom to change. They offered a robe to my husband that did not fit so he kept his shorts & tee on, he was disappointed. We sat in the "relaxation room" & had an Oreo. There was no herbal tea just caffeinated. My massage was too light I asked for more pressure several times but my therapist continued to very lightly rub oil on me it was somewhat frustrating to leave the room feeling like I needed a massage. My facial was great but therapist did her job & pushed me out the door. I asked several skin care questions & she answered with one word answers simple yes/no. My mani/pedi was lovely & lasted the full 50 minutes. I would book a mani/pedi here again as this seems to be their niche. They also can host large groups for private spa parties. If you are looking for a traditional full service spa with lotions & potions that make your nose happy when you walk in (think eucalyptus, lavender etc), sauna, plunge pool & cool cucumber mint h20, this is not the place. What a treat, what a dream! This is the exact spot I've been looking for and am so grateful to have found it!! I had my first pedicure here today and it was everything I had hoped for. Let me tell you why: - Sanitary pedicures!! This is the #1 reason I wanted to try Recoop. You know your run of the mill nail salon with the big massage thrones and water bowls? Yeah those are a hot bed of germs. They clean the bowls, sure, but the hosing that pumps the water in and drains it out is filled with skin and nail trimmings. Yuck! No thanks! Recoop has a sanitary bowl meaning each person gets their own individual bowl. The cleanest way to get a pedicure (and hard to find a salon that does this). - Low chemical nail polish options. I was stoked to see Smith & Cult polishes among others as a high quality, lower chemical polish. Overall the polish collection was good; it's smaller but more curated for quality - high quality ingredients. Not just the polish, but the scrubs, the lotions, etc were all high quality. Overall the pedicure was awesome. The woman working with me took great care of my nails and was meticulous with her work. She was chatty and friendly and professional and kept a good eye on me refilling my water and helping me up when needed. The only thing I can think of that would have given them extra brownie points would have been additional drink options. La Croix or even a white wine would have been a nice touch! Overall, I highly recommend this spot especially for someone looking for a higher quality nail experience. read more

Let me start off by saying.. everyone is very nice & everything was clean. Services booked: massage, facial, manicure & pedicure. Appointment: 2pm - 11am. Masseuse 1 called out. - rescheduled with someone else - arrived a little before 2pm. - told masseuse 2 "called out 20 mins ago" - agreed to reschedule at a later time. *Things happen. Obviously not the receptionist's (1) fault.* - facial is TOP NOTCH and very relaxing - waited almost 25 mins in the back waiting area - receptionist 1 (in passing) asked how was my facial. "It's was great! Thanks!" - receptionist 2 brings back another customer - informed her I've been waiting a while (she looks confused but knew my name- well my boyfriend's cause he booked it as a birthday gift) - in the chair for my pedicure - maybe 20 mins go by - 3:50pm. FINALLY getting the pedicure started. - told there's NO TIME to remove my gel polish - decide I'm not waiting any longer. - got changed to check out and cancel the remaining services - receptionist 2 to already has my bill in the screen. Good cause I'm not happy and I just want to leave. - confusion about how to refund cause it was pre paid. - fully refunded and paid for facial in another transaction. Fine. - receptionist 2 assumes I wasn't going to tip on the facial. I'm thinking (did not say out loud) "it's not the aesthetician's fault. She did her job and it was GREAT!" - transactions completed by 4:03pm. - issues with trying to print 1/2 receipts. (Printer issues are uncontrollable and I know it's uncommon for anyone to want a printed copy but for a refund on my boyfriend's card I wanted it) - finally left about 4:10pm Now this has NOTHING to do with SERVICE but appearance needs to be addressed. Receptionist 1 was in what looked like sweat joggers. Fresh and clean but not typical spa employee attire. Receptionist 2 was wearing a Camaro graphic tee and nails too long that it looked as if she was struggling to type my email. Both receptionists were nice and sympathetic. I would say even very apologetic. They offered to reschedule & offered a discount but I declined. NEVER going back. I got my lashes done here on June 21st. I loved the venue and the staff was very friendly and helpful (hence the two stars). However, I am quite disappointed with the results. I give my lashes a break before getting them done again. The last time I got extensions was exactly a year ago. One week after my appointment with Recoop, I noticed that my left eyelashes were very sparse (see photo). Two weeks after, it looked like I had extensions only on my right eye and none on the left and it was quite embarrassing. I couldn't fix it because I was out of the country on vacation. This is not the first time I've gotten eyelash extensions, but it was the first time I've been to Recoop. I know the steps for proper care for longevity and I did not sleep on my side or put mascara on. For the cost and outcome, I am thoroughly disappointed that I paid $200 for one eye to look great. read more

I had a terrible experience at this spa. I went for a manicure and pedicure appointment at 12.45 pm with Lina, which should have taken one hour and thirty minutes, but I was still not done by 2:30 PM, although I started on time. I had a follow-up massage scheduled at 3:00 PM, and the lady doing my nails, Lina, rushed me and offered to switch the appointments as she had a customer at 2.30 pm. I agreed to help her and went for the massage. However, I had to wait more than 15 minutes for my massage turn. Once I came out of the massage, I was made to wait for more than 30 minutes to finish another customer without any prior notice or apology. When I spoke to the manager over the phone, she was unapologetic and dismissed my concerns as a timing issue. The only person who was nice to me was Caitlin in the reception, who waived my service charge and calmed me down. After I had done my manicure, I messed up one of my nails, but Lina refused to fix it, saying she had another customer. I had to wait for five hours for a service that should have taken two hours, and the staff's behavior was insulting. I ended up leaving with messed up nails and frustrated, when I was supposed to leave the spa relaxed. They check one person in at a time, require a mask, have everyone wash their hands before they sit down and installed acrylic screens at the manicure stations. My friends got me a gift card for this place for my birthday and I have gotten a massage and facial here. I really enjoyed the calm but trendy ambiance of this place! They have a relaxation lounge that you can hang out in with snacks and drinks which is super nice. What really stood out to me was the questionnaire that you have to fill out before coming in. They ask questions like what kind of music do you want playing and how much you want your masseuse to talk to you and a bunch of other things to customize your experience. This spa is great! This review is for a Swedish massage by Sandra and an express manicure. Spa- the spa itself is very nicely decorated and encourages relaxation. They have a couple treatment rooms, 2 large bathrooms, and a shower room, as well as a relaxing waiting room. There are lockers and super soft robes and haviana flip flops to borrow. The cozy waiting room has tea , water, and snacks. (I did wish the water had been infused, but that would have just enhanced an already great experience.) Massage- I don't like a ton of pressure, and Sandra was GREAT. She put added pressure where my body needed it from sore muscles and a computer job. All 60 minutes were great, and I would definitely go back! Pricing is also very reasonable. Manicure- I'm really particular about my manicures, and nail polish. Unfortunately, the color I chose was chunky, and seemingly past Its prime. The manicurist tried to thin it out, and it ended up looking good, but it is a strange texture. I recently went in for the ultimoot facial and I wasn't really impressed by the quality of products and the services. They use Caudalie products, so I essentially could have done this whole service on my own at home. During the exfoliation mask, the service provider didn't really seem to know what to do, and kinda weakly massaged my scalp. I also said I wanted a quiet experience on my "profile" they had me fill out, but was still asked a lot of questions by the provider. Overalll, not good value. read more
