I came here for a manicure and pedicure with my mom but we both were disappointed in the service. I thought the ambiance inside looked really relaxing from the pictures but it was the opposite experience. I booked an appointment online for both of us and it was an easy process. However, when we went inside, we did not feel relaxed or welcomed. We were rushed to choose a color within 2 minutes and didn't even have a color chosen when we sat in the chair. I paid more for a deluxe pedicure for my mom, but she felt the service was very rushed. Not worth it. Not sure why but they rotate their staff too much here for one service. There were 2-3 different people who did my pedicure. The rotating staff took away from the relaxing experience in my opinion. Overall, the nails looked fine so I'm giving it 3 stars, but would not return. read more

Clean nail salon located in a strip mall amongst other retail and restaurants. I got a mani and pedi, with regular Polish for both. They had a decent selection of polishes although I could tell they were a bit old. Nowadays, it seems far and few in between to have someone get regular Polish over shellac or gel, so I always pay attention to see if a salon upkeeps their polish wall. I ended up with a muted green OPI polish, the mani and pedi were done at the same time, which I don't prefer. I prefer when they do one and then the other so that it's not so crowded with 2 folks hovering around you. Overall the Polish job was decent however, lacked a bit of attention to detail as after leaving the salon, I noticed the top coat was not brushed all the way to the ends of some of my nails. Ultimately, this resulted in the polish only lasting a few days before starting to chip :( I would give them another visit, maybe during the week when they're not as busy. read more

My first time experience was the worst. The place is very small and quite dark. I discovered this place through class pass and when I had gone there, the owner was just down right rude and rushed me to pick a color. HOWEVER, when I had gotten my nails done by her technician, it was pretty good quality. After going a couple of times after to give it another shot, I grew to appreciate the quality of their work. She did my soot spirits perfect, and I also got no face and the tree spirits for halloween, and I LOVED THEM. They also have the best price I've ever paid for how amazing they do... Wow. I found my second favorite nail spot. I called to ask if they could take a last minute appointment for a gel mani color change. They said 5pm. I was in the area sooner & I called again to ask if I could come in sooner. When I arrived I was greeted & told to pick a color. Promptly they sat me down & started to polish my nails. Lina did ana amazing job. She didn't miss the edges & was a smooth finish. No lumps of excess polish. Their prices are very very reasonable. Updated: providing photos of my nails after coming home, bumpy and not done with care, spots on nails missing paint. Also wanted to add that this is our 5th time coming here. I am very surprised by the experience we received today. We arrived for our 1pm appointment to see the place packed. We end up waiting an extra 30 minutes to be seated, with walk ins being seated as they come in. What was the point of scheduling an appointment if we just had to wait. They then start on our nails and two other appointments came in after us who also had to wait 30 minutes. On 4 Separate occasions they stop on our pedicures to go to the other two groups who have manicures and pedicures. Eventually we are sitting with our hot towels and the lady had to apologize to us when we sat there for 20 minutes and our towels were cold and we were very uncomfortable. She then paints my nails partially and goes back to the other two groups who once again have manicures and pedicures, and 4 other groups have come ins they start to work on two other groups and partially come back to my nails again. Then they have me wait again for another 20 minutes, and 3 more groups come in. Now once did they express how long this experience was going to take. When I have been here for just a pedicure for almost 2 hours and 4 groups have come and gone with manicures and pedicures that they have prioritized. Very calming experience (Dim lights and soft music) - after you get to the strong smell of nail polish and acetone. Got a Gel Mani and a regular pedi. Very relaxing experience and solid pricing. You also get a punch card for 30% after 5 visits. Lots of colors to choose from - they'll match gel color after you choose a regular polish. I got in and out in around 45 mins for a mani and pedi which I think is super fast since they do both at the same time - 2 people working on you. What a great spot of a mani and pedi. We got in with an appointment but at the time it wasn't very busy but 30 minutes in this place was jammin! The most coolest part was how efficient everyone was. Despite being short staffed and an influx of customers coming thru the door - everyone worked together well and one lady was in charge directing traffic and instructing each person as to what to do and who to help. On top of all that - my experience and my daughter's experience didn't feel rushed one bit as they helped us and while we waiting for things to dry - they would help others and come back to us. This was the place that was popping up in spot number 1 for me. Probably the place with the highest amount of ratings near me and with the highest rating of 4 stars. Not to say other nail places around me did not have 4 stars, because they did, but they did not have nearly as close as many reviews. I booked this place awhile ago through yelp making an appointment for myself and 3 of my girlfriends for a girls day. They were easy to message through the app and replied almost instantaneously. You just need to let them know the date, the time, and how many people / what service they want. When I arrived, the parking lot in front of their place was almost empty even though it was tied to a strip mall. This was around 2 weeks ago. I went in and was greeted by one of the ladies working there who knew my appointment. They did not remember all the details of the services we wanted but they knew the general gist of what we had come for. I arrived a little earlier than my friends so they let me know where all the colors were that I could choose from for a gel manicure. They were all nicely hanging on the wall by the register. They have more colors to choose from than any other place I have been to so far. They have your chrome colors, nails designs, OPI, glitter, foil colors, etc. They did not rush me even though my friends were late but they did ask if I wanted to start before them. I wanted to wait for my friends so once they got there and chose their colors, everyone was placed at a nail station right by each other. This was exactly the type of vibe I was expecting for a group nail appointment. Each of the ladies were friendly and confirmed what we each wanted. Some of us with multiple colors and others with designs or glitter. This was probably the fasted I had ever gotten my nails done before. With that said, my specific nail lady was not as thorough as I am used to. Some of the shaping was uneven and when putting on the little jewels and moon, the glue could have been more precise. They did have a nice selection of jewels to choose from though. I am not one to normally critic and have them change things they have already done so I left it. A day later, almost every single jewel had fallen off and a day after that the moon was gone as well. This left me with pretty nails still because of the color I had chosen and the chrome nail but they would be bumpy and rough because of the leftover glue. Another thing I noticed was the continuous hang nails I had seemed to get right after the appointment, talking with another nail lady a few weeks after, she said it was because too much cuticle had been removed. I am not saying I would not go back because I probably would just for the color selection but I would lower my expectations and not get any jewels or add ons. My gel nails only lasted 2 weeks when I am used to them lasting at least 3 before some parts started lifting. read more

Tranquility nail and spa is the best nail place I have been to. My friend introduced me to this salon over the summer, and I've returned many times since then. The acrylics and press ons are my personal favorite, I have never had a set I didn't love. The owner and all of the employees are very sweet and very talented. They recognize my friends and I and always treat us well. We always laugh and I always feel welcomed. The setting is calming and clean. The cost of the nails is completely fair as the quality is so good. The ladies work very hard and fast. They each have certain things that one is better at than the other and often switch per set to ensure the nails are done well. Many reviews complain about the time duration and wait but it really isn't an issue. The quality of the nails is always good, that's why it may take longer. Came back to see how their other services were. And I got one of the worst acrylic sets I've ever had. I even went back inside to have them reshaped because I was so unhappy. I came in at 4:45 and am leaving here at 7:02. The owner was very nice and tried to reshape them herself.. She made them 100X better than they were. They are super thick and just absolutely not the shape I wanted. They were all different shapes until I went back inside. Post-COVID, there has definitely been a change. Took my mom there in October for 2 pedicures, and started out ok, but not as friendly as before. They weren't slammed, but it still took 30 minutes to get to us despite scheduling an appointment in advance. Pedicure was nice. nothing crazy or too special. But after the pedicure both me and my mom ended up with toe nail infections despite being in 2 separate chairs with liners in the foot bath. I hope they find their way again! read more

Amy and Lina are the best acrylic technicians I've ever had the opportunity to work with. They are always kind and extremely attentive to detail. I'm honestly surprised I don't have to book my appointments months in advance with how luxurious and customer centric this salon experience is. They've maintained such a clean and comfortable environment even though this past year, they honestly deserve an award. I've brought in many friends over the years and we've always left satisfied. Moved to Bellevue just about a month ago, and tried this place since it was close to home. The first time, while I felt rushed, they did a great job on my pedi and full set acrylics. My fill (second visit) was much better, and my nails turned out just lovely. I went back today for a new full set, and brought a friend. We are both horrified at how our nails turned out. The gals were nice enough, but neither of us got what we wanted. My friend wanted tortoise shell with gold accents. We knew Tranquility was out of gold flake as we had called ahead. The girl doing the "nail art" was frustrated that my friend wanted something semi-complicated and let out an audibly annoyed sigh. Once completed, it didn't look anything like the inspiration photo my friend had. I wanted almond shaped acrylics with a green ombré. The gal doing my nails didn't seem like she knew what next step she needed to take. I asked her multiple time to narrow the nails as they looked round, and she kept taking length off as well. She would repeatedly ask if I liked them but wouldn't actually let me look at them and grabbing my hands. While more narrow now than we started, they are still rather round. The lengths are also very uneven. By the time we got around to color I didn't want to risk them messing up the ombré and went with a party nail instead. Extremely disappointed in the results, especially after bringing a friend. We will not be back. read more

They also accept walk ins but it is usually an hour of wait. Besides being after Christmas, the place was still decorated with Christmas theme and it was very cute. Mostly happy with my first experience here. I was looking for a go to nail spot in my new Bellevue neighborhood, and the reviews and look of the salon led me here. I made an appointment and was seated almost right away. I got a gel manicure and the woman who did it did a pretty good job, but it was obvious she was rushing and was completely distracted. Between answering her coworkers questions, answering the phone and talking to walk ins, she barely said a word to me. Which I don't mind but it made her miss things. First of all, she did 3 coats on one hand and 4 on the other... which made one hand noticeably lighter than the other. The left hand with 4 coats was very thick and gloopy looking on the tips. Secondly, she got the clear coat on my skin so I had to pick that off. Thirdly, she did my biggest pet peeve which is not covering a large portion of the side of the nails on several of them. The place is beautiful inside and they are clearly always slammed, but because of that it takes away from precision and observance. I will probably go back for another try though. read more

I stopped by Tranquility this weekend to get my nails done and I was very disappointed and will not be returning. I had dip manicure and my friend received a gel manicure. We made an appointment but they were overcrowded anyways so they asked us to sit in the pedicure chairs to do our nails. They had no COVID-19 precautions. Everyone was wearing a mask but no one washed their hands before or after, I was not asked to wash my hands and there was no protective plexiglass to create a barrier between myself and the woman doing my nails. They had a good selection of colors but that was the only satisfying part of my experience. My nails came out extremely lumpy and the color on each nail is not consistent. I have also been getting dip manicures for a couple years now and have never had one chip. My dip manicure from tranquility chipped the day after. See attached pictures. Overall, I would not suggest coming here. I can think of many other nail places in this area within 5 minutes that would be more worth your time and money. read more
