Walked in asking for 2 gel manis & they were able to accommodate us quickly. The employees were all so ver nice. As you can tell my french tip is a bit crooked & no my finger nails arent crooked. Their price board says $43 but charged me $45. My friend has design on both of the ring finger & was also charged $45. The hand massage was less than basic & they do not do the warm towel as majority of salons do for gel manicures. First time going & last. read more

Gilman Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

Very close to Tibbs Valley Park in Issaquah, so it was a convenient nail salon for me to stop by while being at the park for the baseball games. Haha. Anyway, good price for being in the area, I believe, because I know some nail salons in Bonney Lake would charge $35 for pedicure for average price. Gilman Nails pedicure is currently $30. I speak Vietnamese, so I was able to converse with the technician for a bit. I did not really mind if she would talk to me or not, as long as she'd do a good job on my nails. However, a short conversation did not hurt. read more

I loved going here . Called last minute on Father's Day and she took me in immediately. I asked for a full set with red gel and rounded tips. Got exactly what I asked for and it looks great. Will definitely stop by here again and highly recommend you go here! read more

Used to come here all the time in high school and I like coming back when I'm in town. They have really great prices on mani/pedi combos and I love the wax work they do. My eyebrows always look great! The staff is super friendly all the time. They get crazy busy when the weather is nicer but they are always super friendly. They only accept credit cards on tabs of more than $12 so be sure to bring cash as a back up! read more

First I do want to say, staff were friendly and welcoming. They had an adorable small dog in the salon. Having said that, the quality of the pedicure was not good. I could have done the same job for free! Everything was great until the woman started cutting my nails. She cut the corner of one at an angle that will very likely cause an ingrown toenail. She did give a good lower leg massage. When done I saw nail polish outside of the mail, just an overall sloppy job. Very disappointed and will not be returning. Price was $35 without a tip. read more

So I've been going to Gilman Nails now for about a month and I love the work that my gal does! Both times, once every two weeks, I've been there I've got a shelac mani and a regular polish pedi. Her work is wonderful and I love that I can do manual-ish type work with my hands and the manicure will last until I go back. Her prices have increased and she is by appointment only, her main days are Monday and Wednesday, due to covid but she's worth it! Unfortunately I don't remember her name, I'll have to get that the next time I go in. read more

Wonderful family owned nail salon in the heart of Issaquah! I've been bringing my grandmother here for years and she loves or here! The owner always greets us personally and has an amazing memory asking about the latest news and adventures in life. Got grand baby pics you want to share and brag about? Bring them here! The staff love talking about the kiddos and have lovely stories and pics of their own to share too. They are so patient and welcoming - It's just a very friendly place and they really make you feel right at home. The salon is beautiful inside and decorated nicely with warm colors and lots of healthy green plants. They keep everything updated and comfy - their massage chairs are beautiful! Very clean, organized and detail oriented. Great selection of nail polish! Gotta love a rainbow of fresh colors to choose from on the wall! The salon has a nice open floor plan that is easy to navigate for persons with special needs. They are used to helping their clients - easily and discreetly move around tucking away wheel chairs and walkers as needed as the clients transfer between the pedicure chairs and the manicure nail bar. The location is excellent! Just off of Gilman Blvd next door to Taco Time and Gold's Gym. Lots of free and open parking. Really, I can't recommend Gilman Nails enough! They are wonderful! read more

Called the night before and they were able to get me in at 10am on a Saturday. Ladies there were very nice. I needed a pedicure for a wedding and I am very happy with the outcome! Just wish the massage part lasted longer but for $25, this place is worth it. I would schedule an appt because they did start to get busy with walk ins. Just a head's up, the owner prefers you to pay with cash. read more

I have been coming here off and on for 8 years. The ladies here are caring and always remember me and my family. My service is always done right and lasts or if there is an issue, they fix it. What impresses me about this shop is their compassion for older people. I have see so many older ladies come in here and they are treated with such care and compassion and it amazes me every time. They treat them like their own grandmothers. Today I watched them patiently fix ingrown toenails on a man with such patience and care. They go above and beyond and it is truly wonderful thank see. read more

I used to LOVE Gilman Nails. I went here through high school and when I lived at home with my parents. They also did my nails for my wedding last September. They know my mother and whenever I am with my mom, they are WONDERFUL. This time, I went with a girlfriend and they barely spoke to us and my manicure/pedicure was awful. They were extremely rough on my hands. I had picked a pretty neon purple, but within hours it peeled off my fingers and toes. I paid with a card. On Monday, all of my polish had come off both fingers and toes. Let me clarify that I was NOT hard on my hands or toes all weekend. I walked in and showed the male owner and said "I got my nails done on Saturday, I understand they chip quick but I think the polish just wasn't very good. Is there any way I can get this fixed? I've come here often and I have never had this happen before." I was told that I hadn't been there that weekend and the gal who did my nails quickly said "I DIDN'T DO THEM!" and I expressed that I wasn't upset or blaming anyone, that it was more than likely just the polish. The male owner re-did my manicure but ignored me when I pointed out the pedicure had already chipped all off. I was waiting for my nails to finish drying and was sort of pushed out of the place. It was empty and a Monday. I will not be returning, they have lost my business. read more

Got a pedicure here today! Pretty slow, but it's Monday morning. The place looked like a typical nail salon and it was clean. The staff were all very friendly. They do need to discard current magazines and re-vamp their selection. The place is carpeted, so I was a little sketched out on that factor. My pedicure was decent and they did a great job on my toes. Price was the typical $20. The only downside is the massage wasn't strong or long enough for my taste. A lady was in there getting a fill and the girl doing the nails looked like she was doing a great job, two people came in while I was there and they frequently get their nails done. It seems they have a bunch of regulars. I'll get my full-set done here when I get paid, a full-sets $25 and then $30 for French tips. I will be returning read more

I'm a regular, and have made at least 10+ visits over 2 years. I have to give them 5 stars as they have a spa pedicure plus manicure for only $35 and they do a decent job. I usually do just the spa pedicure ($23) and typically they take at least 35-45 minutes to do the spa pedicure which includes hot towels, massage, and sea salt rub. The massage chairs are good for my height, some places have chairs with really uncomfortable massage chairs but this place has decent ones that provides a really soothing massage. They also use fresh liners inside the foot bath each time. My polish is always good for at least 2-3 months after I go here. I have some foot problems and they always take good care of my feet, giving special attention where needed and using other tools as needed. Their shellac manicures are the cheapest I've seen in the area, and they do a good job. I have had pedicures done by 3 different girls and all of them are good. They're also pretty accommodating and once they even closed late on my account as my polish was still drying. They prefer cash and will often ask customers to pay cash if possible but they do take credit cards. I usually carry cash when I go there, since I know they prefer it. (4.5 stars - rounded to 5) read more

On a rainy day when it's cold and you got no feelings to get out, its the perfect place to still drive by. Ladies are nice and doing a great job. Perfectionist!!! Making my nail polish look awesome. Walked right in at 11:30 on a Tuesday. I was the only customer at the time but 3 other clients walked in during my session. A 4th showed up asking for correction on her french manicure where the edges either lifted or messed up. Anyways they were trying to upsell ALL the time. I came in wanting acrylics (I'm an acrylic newbie) and they upsold me to powder acrylic which is $7 or so more. Fine. I had picked out standard polish and she asked me if I wanted gel. I said no thank you. After my nail bases were done and it's time for polish she asked me AGAIN if I wanted gel - but in a a sneaky way: "you sure you want this color? We have many choices" and points to the wall of gel polish. Yes there were more gel color options than standard polish but if I was uninformed or unfamiliar with the world of nails I may have been swindled. They are very nice and did touch up my nail when I dinged it on her lamp, but the polish job of even the pristine nails is sloppy on my right hand... I would come back because it's convenient for me and prices are decent. We'll see how the powdered nails hold up (she promised me they last longer than normal acrylics) read more

Gilman Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Issaquah, Washington

My husband and I decided to pop in here while running errands for pedicures. I have had some really, REALLY terrible experiences at nail salons I'm not familiar with, so I had no idea what to expect walking in here. My toes were in pretty bad shape -- I haven't had a pedicure in 4 months and am ashamed to admit I've only used clippers at home maybe twice. They were sharp, ragged and I swore one was ingrown. Not only could the girls in the salon get us both in chairs immediately, the girl working on my feet was like a magician. Within 20 minutes my feet looked like a model's. Even my normally squirmy husband barely flinched when they used the pumice scub on his toes These girls are super gentle -- and give an extra long calf/foot massage which is super rare. We live about 25 minutes away, but will definitely be coming back here for our nails from now on! read more

I just went to have my nails done here with my mom and had a terrible experience. My mom got a pedicure and I got a manicure with sns dip powder. My mother said her pedicure was fine but my manicure was not up to par. It's not necessarily the service rather the service effort and quality. I am from Florida and this was my first time getting my nails done here in Washington and I was not impressed. Every single nail place I have ever been to will get out freshly sealed and cleaned tools to use during the manicure. This place did not for me and even when I asked for my nails to be cut and shaped all she did was file them for a second. My nails didn't turn out bad it just wasn't the level of service and pampering I expect when I pay to get my nails done. Needless to say I will not being coming back. Also I paid $50 for her to pretty much just put powder on my nails. Not worth that money. read more

I walked into Gilman Nails mid day and was sat down for a pedicure right away. Both of the women working were very friendly and I was happy to give them my business! The pedi could have been longer but other than that it was great! The manicure I received was pretty standard but the customer service and hospitality was what made my experience 5 stars! Very covid safe! This nail shop does the job and won't break the bank :) read more

Worst pedicure ever! I actually left there feeling agitated. From the moment I sat down, to the start of the polish was less than 15 minutes. The "soak was cold water...I asked her to heat it up twice. The woman's husband (??) Came in and all she did was talk to him and sort of "touch" my feet and calves. I had to ask her to scrub my feet again because it was so fast and light that it was useless. I asked them if they were closing and that's why the rush, but she didn't seem to understand. Then the owner said they were very busy and that is why the quick treatment. Note: everyone else had already have left. I was the ONLY customer there!!!! According to the gal Never again! I went to my usual place, and had a fabulous pedi. doing my nails, that's how they do pedicures. read more

I recently got a mani/pedi here on a Saturday morning. They're friendly, quick and very good! I can't wait to go back!

This place was probably the worst experience of getting a manicure hands down. My friend and I were in the process of getting our nails soaked in acetone when these two people walk in and the other worker who had just finished giving a pedicare decided to help them instead. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes to get our shellac nail polish off. They charged me extra to take off my gel polish which was annoying because the it's the least they could have done for making us wait for so long. The hand massage was the shortest I've ever had, it was as if the guy was just rubbing my skin. My friend got a french manicure and the polish must've been cheap because it turned yellow after a week. They only did one coat of the top coat and I've always had two anywhere else I've been when getting shellac. The nail salon itself looks gross and tacky. Unless you are desperate to get your nails on (like we were because we were leaving town right after) I highly suggest going somewhere else. There is a reason why they are usually slow. read more

So i pop my head to see what's going on in here as I need a manicure soon, I talked to a gal who says sheilac color change is only 15. I'm like wow! I'll come by. Few days later, I confirm its only$15. Sound too good to be true...( and it is. It's a bait & switch) I sat down and she starts removing my nail colors. She ask me, you have t been here for a while. After I'm done she charges me $20. Lady, I was gonna give you $15 for change and $5 tip. I contested it but she insisted she told me if I didn't get sheilac there, it's 20$ not $15. Geez I asked 2 times, she knew I haven't been here for a while. I even gave her marketing tips! Unappreciative & not very clear. Her English was better than other nail workers so that was not her excuse. Why quote $15, charge $20? I'm not sure if I wanna go back now. It was a matter of principle. I tipped her $3, not $5. read more

I tried this place out because they're one of the few open on Sundays and their prices were good. Plus walkins are welcome. $33 for a mani/pedi or $23 for just a spa pedicure, which is what I got. The nail technician was very attentive and thorough with my short nails and ticklish feet. The only reasons I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish they had a bigger color selection - brands were good tho. Opi and China glaze. Also if you have other plans for the day, make sure to schedule at least an hour aside for this appt. Probably longer if you plan for a mani/pedi combo. read more

I have lived in the area for the last 5 years. I keep coming back to this place! Very friendly, and great service! Plus its hard to find reasonable prices for nails and min pedi. Recommend this to everyone, extra bonus they don't take forever!!! read more

Went with a girlfriend to Gilman's and we had a pretty satisfactory experience--nothing to write home about, but we left with cute & clean feet. The 2 gals working, on a busy Saturday evening, (they had to turn down a few folks) were nice. The massage chairs are better than some I've enjoyed, the foot scrub is pretty fast, but they cleaned my feet well. The atmosphere seems pretty quite--customers and staff all in their own zones--so not super friendly. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I beleive this deserves a review. I went to Gilman Nails today and I got a full set with black tips. I asked for a spider web design, since Halloween is this month and I'm a total nut for Halloween..lol...They proceded to show me stickers/airbrush designs, which I liked none of them. So I drew a simple design that the lady could easily duplicate. They didn't turn out too bad, and she did a decent job. But the reason I am giving this place 1 star is because the male ( I believe he's the owner) started laughing at the fact that I wanted spider webs on my nails. It made me feel like they don't care about how they treat their customers. It was like he was laughing in my face. I will NEVER go there again. read more

Went here for my first time last week for a full set of nails. Within 2 days all of my nails but 2 had lifted. I couldn't come in to get them fixed because I was on vacation. Don't go here if you want designs on your nails. I recently got mine done and it looked so bad I went home and took it off.

The salon was very warm and welcoming every time I walk in. I've been a loyal customer since last year. The customer service was great comparing to some other salon that I've been to and I think it's awesome to see a man doing nails. I remember I messed up my nails on accident and they would gladly fix it up for me with no charge even though it was my fault. The only downside about this salon is the wait on the weekend. Some times the place gets really busy and they seem to be backed up. I think it's my fault for procrastinating in the first place because I can only stop by after work. Overall, I'm very satisfied every time I come in to do my nails. read more

This little hidden gem isn't one you should pass on. Always a treat to visit with music and amazing mountain scenery from the front windows. Had a fill done for my nails.....with the man owner. Not very friendly and a bit rough in handling my fingers. I have a slight amount of arthritis...and it hurt. Made an appointment for a pedicure.....done in less than a half hour....no massage, not a very great pedicure. Won't be back. read more

I went here in March before traveling, it was the worst experience I've ever had. I made an appointment and showed up on time. I ended up waiting for an hour. An older lady did my nails, she filed my nails unevenly, and every time she tried to fix it she made it worse. A younger lady stepped in but by that time the older lady basically filed my nails off. My pedi was awful, I had shellac on my toes which I've done before and never had any issues. They couldn't get it off, the manager or owner had to step in and said "next time you should go back to the place where you got your nails done". I didn't have shellac on my hands to begin with so I had no idea if they are even capable of removing shellac without taking hours. I found her comment unnecessary. By the time the shellac was removed I'd been at the place for 3 hours. They finish my pedi and I was so ready to leave I didn't even think to check my nails. When I get home I noticed my toe nails are also very uneven (the manager had done pedi) and I had nail polish on my skin... I called the next day and had to rush in before my flight to get the to fix it. The manager had so much to say about how she doesn't understand what the other nail salon did to make the shellac so hard to take off. Even if we ignore the failed shellac removal, Gilman nails made so many other mistakes! She never apologized and I will never go back. read more

I cheated on my normal nail salon to come here because my husband works nearby and we were meeting for dinner so I thought I would swing by Gilman Nails and try them out. First of all they had to SHARE THEIR TOOLS WHILE THEY WERE WORKING ON MY NAILS!! i had to wait for the woman next to me to get her nails filed before I could!!! Next they barely even filed my nails at all, they look lumpy and uneven, threw some SLOPPY polish on and 20 dollars later sent me on my way! i left there feeling like all i wanted was polish remover and that little machine to do it myself!! People say this is a nice nail salon, probably because they dont even talk to you when your in there, how could u not say theyre nice. I will never ever step foot in there again and ill make sure my husbands coworkers and my friends dont go there either. Waste of money and waste of time!!
