Came in Saturday around 3pm, didn't expect it to be so busy! Certainly will make an appointment next time. The ladies were so nice, they gave me tea and some snacks to munch on while I waited. Got an acrylic set shellac with a signature pedicure. Pedicure was very relaxing, included scrub, paraffin, hot stone, some sort of lotion wrap steam and massage. Honestly probably one of better pedicures I've had in the area. Manicure set turned out great as well, did a pink cateye which turned exactly how I wanted (picture doesn't do it justice). My feelings are generally mixed. The good: I took my daughter here and her nails look great and she generally enjoyed the quieter atmosphere. I liked my pedicure and the woman that did the work was very communicative. The bad: The gentleman that did my manicure seemed upset that I wanted a design and trying to explain the design got a bit uneasy. He ended up only doing the base nail colors. Randomly he realized my daughter was with me and decided it was ok to ask me when I was having another child...Just no. That's definitely out of bounds for just meeting someone. Pros: Clean interior, offered me tea and water, everyone was nice. Pedicure with Nancy (Tina painted) was good. She took her time and I like the way my toes turned out. Cons: Terrible manicure (another manicurist that I won't name). Nails were cut with blunt edges, no filing, no lotion or massage of any kind. Weirdly, she had me soak one hand in a bowl of water and not the other. When applying top coat, she left one of my nails streaked with another reddish color (probably from the previous customer who had red nails) and tried to convince me it looks fine. It doesn't. I had to get someone else to come and fix it for me. Top coat wasn't applied evenly so it looks terrible. Also, this took 1hr 45min for a mani-pedi. I left early before my nails were even dry because I couldn't sit there any longer. Massage chairs look nice, but are uncomfortable to sit on for that long. Would come back for just pedicure, but likely will find another place for a manicure going forward. read more

Asked them to take off gel nails and redo the design. Showed the design on my phone and she told me to pick a color. Why do I need to pick a color while I showed you what I want! When taking off the gel, she used the drill on me and drilled my whole nail bed off. I had natural strong long nails and she drilled the whole layer off to make it paper thin. When she started to apply color (from the bottle that's almost dried out, no polish left at all) on my nails you could see circles of the drill on my nail bed. When I told her it looks really bad, she told me it is my nails that are like that. If she didn't use the drill but rather soaked the nails, they would not have been like that! In addition, the other workers kept coming to her and loudly talking in their own language which was clearly something that they were upset about, caused me anxiety. I could feel the negativity. I told her not to do anything with my nails and left. This is not the experience I was looking forward to. Left me with a paper thin nails and negative feeling. This was disappointing. This was my second time coming in because my mom was raving how great of a job the do. The first time my mom made two appointments I was turned away. This time they took my mom's cash and asked for more just for the paint to chip. It was my birthday and they didn't even want to take me my parents had to fuss. The gel they put on top of my acrylic was clearly old. And the short lady with long hair suggested this old gel( same lady who doesn't know if I have appointments). Ladies are rude and only want money. I went to the highland nails and my nails don't chip for 3 weeks. 300$ plus she's looking for 98$. It's sad to see so many happy with poor service and over pricing. UPDATE: Day two nail was failing off and nasty. New nail tech took off the polish and said EW. The Uptown nails acrylic was yellow and peeling off. She said " I don't know why they would use this" flicking the new later applied by uptown way. Sat for 15 minutes after pedicure appointment time. No one greeted me or put water in my foot bowl till I asked. Added 2 more stars because once they got going, the pedicure was amazing. And, I noticed that they did the same thing with other customers that came in after me. Just parked then in their chairs and left them there til their service person was ready to start them. If I could give negative stars, I would. I don't know why they bother even scheduling appointments. I had an appointment time of 4.30, checked in on time and waited in lobby for 15 minutes. The staff didn't seem to care at all and even attended to people who came after me. When I checked in with the staff at 4.45 again, one of them rudely ignored me and walked away and another staff member asked me to wait for additional 10 mins and didn't know I was already waiting for a while. I could clearly sense some hidden racism in the salon and this is the 2nd time it's happened to me at this salon. I just went in for my first appointment yesterday morning. Cindy did my shellac manicure and she did great! I really appreciated her attention to detail and friendliness. The salon was aesthetically pleasing and clean while I was in my appointment. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is due to their [add-in] pricing. $15 just to cut your nails to absolutely ridiculous to me, it should be INCLUDED in the service. All the other comments that I read, it is true about using the drill to take off the shellac they will drill to your nail bed and you need to tell whoever is going to drill that your nails are sensitive ~ I will NOT be coming here - they do not care about your nails if they are thin or not. Yesterday was my 2nd lash extension fill. It had been 2.5 wks, and all but one tiny clump had fallen off the right side. I wasn't super worried about it, but it was weird that I would have no lashes left on one eye in such a short time. During the appt, I was very uncomfortable: 1) I couldn't see what she was doing, but something with her technique was very painful in the placement. It felt like she was stabbing me. 2) I jumped/startled and audibly said "OW" multiple times when she pulled my OWN lashes out on the left side. One time, she did nothing; she said sorry, and the last time, she just shushed me. 3) She started putting loose lashes ON MY FOREHEAD and retrieving them. 4) However she put the glue on, it really burned my eyes. When we were done, she did not show me a mirror. She led me to the front and said, "Oh - you're not going to pay cash?" when I got my payment ready for their credit card terminal. I felt pressured, so I tipped. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED when I got to the car and finally saw my lashes. They were almost $90, and I hate them. The left side was already shedding, and the right side lacked shape. It looks like a flat caterpillar. Lastly, they are very painful. I had to sleep straight on my back because any pressure made them hurt. I'm spending Labor Day looking for another nail tech to remove them so I don't have to be in pain. If you are considering lash extensions here, do so at your own risk. You may have a better experience. I had my nails done a handful of times Cindy and Nancy (she sits closest to the entrance). I am usually 5-10 minutes early to my appointments thinking that I will have my service done at my appointment time. So far, I have not been services on time. If anything, I end up waiting 10-25 minutes on top of the 5-10 minutes being early. As I wait, i assess the situation and my schedule. I am thinking I should say something for waiting. Reschedule and comeback. But the hassle to reschedule holds me back and wait for my appointment. Couple appointments ago, I got my appointment mixed up. I wrote it down on my calendar as 11:30 am when my appointment was actually 11:00 am. It was a genuine honest mistake. Thinking my appointment was at 11:30 am, I was 10 minutes early. Cindy didn't come out from the back until 11:45 am. As I was paying, Nancy, with an attitude scolded me for being 30 minutes late. I was taken back because I thought my appointment was at 11:30 am. I responded that I had my appointment down at 11:30 am. She repeated herself again that I was late and next time to call if I am running late or need to cancel. Because I was late, she had to take on Cindy's customer who came in for a pedicure. I responded, if I was truly late, it was an honest mistake and apologized. Last week, Cindy was 20 minutes late to my appointment. When I called to schedule my appointment, I asked Nancy Cindy's availability because I didn't want to wait. I still had to wait even after confirming her availability. No one called to let me know she was running late or apologized for the inconvenience. Every appointment I had with Cindy, she never apologized for making me wait. It's hypocritical to expect the client to be on time or call if they are running late, need to cancel or reschedule. They should hold themselves to the same standard. If they are running late, they should call and notify the customer and apologize. read more

Beautiful interiors and clean salon. I simply walked in and from a quick glance I felt that they would ask me to have a seat or probably make an appointment. This was on a Friday around 11am but Tina welcomed me in and asked me to take a seat. She is very sweet. Gave me an excellent dip manicure and amazing pedicure with paraffin wax/hot stones/massage - the full deal. They also serve complimentary snacks and drinks. Why I took off one star? My technician juggled with the front desk work attending people who came in and doing my mani-pedi alongside. Even though her mani-pedi job was great, it was super slow probably because I was a walk-in. Luckily, I was off from work that day and had time to kill, I did not mind. I realized this was most certainly NOT the classic pedi like I requested, and when it came to pay, I was charged $90 , instead of $55. Now, I'm not here to complain about prices, but I get very peeved when I'm manipulated into paying more for a service I never requested. If it wasn't for Nancy and her amazing service, I would have confronted the owner/guy at the register. I want to love this salon because one of my favorite nail techs is here BUT lately anytime I get my nails done here they chip on the edges within a matter of days. It first happened in December, I even emailed the address on their site with no response. I came in and showed them and they repaired it but then asked me to tip the girl for fixing the nails only 3 days after getting them. Ffwd to 3 weeks ago I got another dip and a pedicure so 2 nail techs. I had shellac on my toes which she decided to peel off leaving my nails looking rugged(it wasn't my normal pedi lady I think she was the owner). My nails looked great when I left but then after the weekend they started chipping away again. I am not abrasive with my hands. They looked fine on top it's just the corners would crack and it continued to get worse so I went in and she fixed them again. I emailed again hoping they would reply and thinking December was just busy so they didn't get a chance to respond .... I haven't heard a thing. While the salon is clean, the pedicures if you get the right lady are normally good. I think I had the owner who decided to peel off my polish and She was more concerned about her remodel being done than taking time on my toes and offering me a discount on lashes when I don't even get them done and I explained that to her. I now have two infected toes after they removed ingrown nails... It was an in-depth and very painful process.. that should be done by a medical professional. I was a bit shocked and embarrassed so I didn't say anything nor did I understand how bad it was and now wish I had.. my toes are infected now. And have been tender since my appointment. I also have developed an extremely sensitive and painful lump on the bottom of my foot and have to go to the doctor this week due to it effecting my ability to walk. I have no idea what it is. I tried reaching out to the salon on here as well as emailing them at the email listed on their website and it was not a real email. I wanted to like this place. I wanted to like this place. And came in before Mother's Day, and got a mani pedi. The mani was fine. The staff was pleasant. But I can't ignore the damage this has done. The massaging chairs are comfortable, the environment is inviting and they even serve complimentary snacks and drinks. I loved how organized they were. I went back to get them fixed and the way they fixed them was very half hearted. The lady re-dipped my nails over the already existing dip. Once she was done I had brush strokes of the top coat noticeably on all of my nails and then 1 day later had more chipped nails. My sister and I went to get our nails and pedicures done here and spent 3.5 hours in the nail salon. We waited patiently sitting in the chairs at the front for them to start on our nails for about 30-40 minutes when we had a scheduled appointment. I know they were understaffed but we could have re-scheduled if they weren't able to see us at the scheduled appointment time. Then when they finally sat us down in the chairs to do our nails, I got dip with tips, my sister got just dip, and all of the nails were thick and uneven. They were also not a narrow oval shape, more of a wider shape. I had to go back the next day to get all of them fixed because I didn't want to spend anymore time in the salon than what I already had. They were also very expensive. The most frustrating part of this whole process is that both of our nails have broken or chipped and it has been not even a week since we got them done. I also don't live in town and can't go back to have them get fixed again. The nail techs were nice but the products they are using aren't great. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

Overall I'm pretty impressed with this place! Despite some bad reviews I decided to give it a shot as most recent reviews were positive and indicated that the space was newly updated and nice. Location: 10/10 - have realistic expectations obviously, but I found the space to be inviting and nice. Service: 10/10 - with no appointment we were taken within 45 mins (could have been earlier but did some grocery shopping to kill time). I brought my mom for her birthday and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My mom was pleased with her signature pedicure. Quality: 7/10 - this is where I felt I had to remove one star. My mom opted for a classic polish manicure and unfortunately the next day it was already completely chipping off. She isn't hard on her hands and honestly didn't even have time to do anything which could have damaged it, so the lack of longevity was a bummer. I myself got a full set of acrylics and will have to see how they hold up. I'm slightly nervous as the acrylic was applied over completely dusty nails (the filings were not wiped off. Im not an expert but that seems like a bad idea?) This was my only concern as the rest of the application was meticulous and well executed.
