    Gel manicure

Found this place accidentally. Such friendly staff and EXCELLENT quality manicure. They don't drill cuticles, but carefully cut - which is my preference. I think it was Trang who did mine, I am coming back. We watched the news about Ukraine on TV and chatted with another lady. When she learned I was Ukrainian and how war was impacting life - she offered to pay for my manicure as a way to support me. Amazing people around us. #begrateful

Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance for my small wedding party and my Mom and daughters. Confirmed appointment 48 hours before just to be sure. However, when we arrived (on time) they were not ready. All the chairs were full and we had to wait 30 mins for the first pedi to begin. My pedi was ok. They forgot to scrub my feet and went straight for doing my nails... Not what I generally get... No leg treatment or anything, just a quick soak and cuticle trim. They were really nice but Totally unprepared... After they turned away 2 girls (asking them to come back in a little bit) because we had filled their chairs (and were paying Accordingly) they began to hurry. I was the bride, and I Didn't even get my mani in a manicure chair... Not only Did it look awful (no acrylics or gels, just polish) 2 days later it peeled off like little girls nail polish, leaving my nails damaged and brittle. So sad we started late so I didn't even have the time to spare to ask them to fix it. $600 later (for all 8 of us) we left generally unsatisfied and wishing we had booked somewhere more familiar rather than close to the wedding site. Their prices are mediocre (we were charged $20 for a simple single-coat of purple nail polish on my 4-year-old's fingers!) the surface is clean and friendly but the end result was an utter dissapointment than wound up costing me $50 to get my manicure redone at a spa while I was on my honeymoon 3 days later. My toes held up, though!!!

They are so friendly and meticulous! Highly recommend but make an appointment. It's often busy because they are so good.

One regular customer shared that she also had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE within the same week consistent to what I experienced over the past two months. Previous updated review- More like DEMON NAILS. I will NOT be returning back here. Today was by far THE WORST experience yet at Angel Nails. I had previously left a 5 star review (8 years ago) and they have really gone downhill. From a terrible eyebrow waxing job that caused me to get Microblading to correct my over waxed and misshapen brows, to the constant pressure to upgrade my services, to outdated chairs, to aggressive and at times painful pedicures, my experience today was above and beyond AWFUL. ****at the end of this review I am sharing the nail polish product I used at home that they claimed they couldn't remove without an extra fee...oh and I'll include the removal polish too...both far cheaper than this place and lasts longer **** I rarely get time to do anything for myself these days and pretty much only do my own nails, and this is why. I've had 3 pedicures in 7 years because I've been too busy taking care of my young daughter, my mother (who passed) and my father who has Alzheimer's. I've been extremely overwhelmed and have not pampered myself at all. So, today I hired a babysitter (which is rare in and of itself for me) so I could get some things prepared for a group of Buddhist Monastics visiting and I decided I would treat myself to a pedicure because doing my own pedicure causes me a lot of pain in my back and to my hips (partly because I had an unsuccessful Total Hip Replacement when my daughter was 6 months old). What a mistake to give this place another chance. I called to see if they had walk-in availability (because they used to be so busy you couldn't get in...years ago). I only had an hour of my Babysitters time left. I came in, chose my color, was directed to one of their outdated chairs and asked immediately if I wanted whatever their fancy package upgrade of the moment is. I declined, and as always, I was met with an annoyed nail technician...just how I wanted to start my pedicure. This is where things just got worse and worse. She tried to take off my polish, and with more Drama and Theatrics than a European Soccer player acting hurt, proceeded to make a big fuss about how hard my polish was to remove. "You have shellac! It's difficult!" I tried to explain that I didn't think the polish I had used ON MYSELF FROM HOME was Shellac. I showed her the bottle of only the Top Coat product I used and she says, "Yes, Gel, see Gel, Shellac! Difficult!" and proceeded to scrub dramatically to prove it would not come off. Mind you, I DID NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM LAST TIME-SAME TOP COAT. She huffed off to get her electric nail tool. Came back and started grinding away my polish, summons her Boss over (who is the one that messed my eyebrows up 8 years ago), and she says- "you have shellac! It's difficult to remove. You want Shellac again? No? It's $5 to remove it! Unless you do Shellac again and it's no charge to remove. It's $15. Do you want Shellac again?" "No, thank you." "Ok, so you pay $45(or whatever the pedicure plus Shellac polish removal was...which by the way...was faster at being removed by the grinding tool, but I was getting worried about the angry nail technician damaging my nail bed)." At this point, I was so frustrated with the scene these two caused and how horrible they were making me feel about whatever polish I used at home, I knew I didn't have much time left and the thought of having a relaxing pedicure was completely lost, so I said, "FORGET IT! I'm not going to stay and have a pedicure! It's not worth it." They just kept arguing about the difficulty of my polish to remove, but I'm sorry, don't they do Shellac there? The product I used at home I had no difficulty removing because I use the removing product, which just dissolves the top layer and it wipes off..no problem! How can they be so late to the game? So, I left, with one foot with my old polish and one foot without. If they hadn't been so damn rude, disrespectful and dramatic, I just would have paid the $5 and probably would've come back again just out of convenience, but this was the last straw for me. So, for any of you still reading this ridiculously long review, here's the products I used and the REMOVAL PRODUCT as well. It must be some kind of MAGIC to have caused this much trouble for "PROFESSIONAL?!?!? NAIL TECHNICIANS." https://www.target.com/p/dashing-diva-one-gel-top-coat-nail-polish-10ml/-/A-92173382 https://www.target.com/p/dashing-diva-one-gel-magic-off-nail-polish-remover-15ml/-/A-92173374

What a difference 40 years makes…read more I was at the Salish Lodge on a business trip for a week in 1989, and it was one of the most lovely experiences I've ever had. By the end of the first day, every valet and front desk person knew all of us by name, and they bent over backward to be helpful and treat us like valued guests even though we were working an event and weren't the ones paying for the rooms. (Our company had bought out the entire lodge, which was much smaller at the time.) All the guest rooms at that time faced the river and had a beautiful view of it. Not so anymore, as they've renovated the lodge and many rooms have either no view or a view of trees (definitely beautiful) but not the river. The latter was our experience. There was a tiny glimpse to be had if you peered far off to the right, but otherwise our view was the trees. This was disappointing simply because we didn't know the place had been added on to and now had non-river view rooms. My husband, who had given me this trip as a Christmas present, was very disappointed and asked if there were any river view rooms available instead. Sure -- for $700. (No thanks.) We stayed in our $400+ tree view room instead, but honestly, this room is about $250 overpriced. For that price, one would expect everything to be in perfect condition, plus a large-ish room. Not the case in ours. It's smaller than the size of a standard La Quinta or Comfort Inn type of room, has no dresser or drawers to unpack your clothes (unless you remove the iron from the 6"x6" drawer it's stored in), and the "closet" is an IKEA-like unit in the entryway of the room. There's a fireplace, a TV, and a small desk, plus two chairs crammed into the corner, and a narrow balcony outside to listen to -- not see -- the river. The bathroom has a shower with two rain-style shower heads, so bring something to cover your hair if you don't want to drench it every time you shower. (The hotel doesn't provide shower caps -- only a small bottle of lotion and some Q-tips and a make-up removal wipe that doesn't remove makeup. It's just to keep you from getting it on the white towels.) As to the room's condition -- There are lamps on each side of the bed. Mine had a wonky switch that had to be jiggled just so in order to work. It's supposed to be dimmable, but mine was either on or off. There is also a reading light built into the headboard. Mine didn't work. Also, water was shooting out the side of one of the shower heads where it connects to the pipe in the wall. I did tell the front desk the next morning, and they offered to move us to another room. I didn't want to have to pack up all my stuff and move to another room that may have had less of a view than we already had, so I told them we were leaving for the day and asked that someone come in to fix the issues. They did, but about six hours after I put in the request, my husband received a text asking when it would be convenient for them to come in. Needless to say, communication between the staff isn't great. As of this writing (getting ready to check out on Day 4), now the fireplace isn't working. It stopped last nigh
