Update again- pay attention to how old the reviews are. I'm not the only local who has had a horrible experience with this places service. One regular customer shared that she also had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE within the same week consistent to what I experienced over the past two months. Previous updated review- More like DEMON NAILS. I will NOT be returning back here. Today was by far THE WORST experience yet at Angel Nails. I had previously left a 5 star review (8 years ago) and they have really gone downhill. From a terrible eyebrow waxing job that caused me to get Microblading to correct my over waxed and misshapen brows, to the constant pressure to upgrade my services, to outdated chairs, to aggressive and at times painful pedicures, my experience today was above and beyond AWFUL. ****at the end of this review I am sharing the nail polish product I used at home that they claimed they couldn't remove without an extra fee...oh and I'll include the removal polish too...both far cheaper than this place and lasts longer **** I rarely get time to do anything for myself these days and pretty much only do my own nails, and this is why. I've had 3 pedicures in 7 years because I've been too busy taking care of my young daughter, my mother (who passed) and my father who has Alzheimer's. I've been extremely overwhelmed and have not pampered myself at all. So, today I hired a babysitter (which is rare in and of itself for me) so I could get some things prepared for a group of Buddhist Monastics visiting and I decided I would treat myself to a pedicure because doing my own pedicure causes me a lot of pain in my back and to my hips (partly because I had an unsuccessful Total Hip Replacement when my daughter was 6 months old). What a mistake to give this place another chance. I called to see if they had walk-in availability (because they used to be so busy you couldn't get in...years ago). I only had an hour of my Babysitters time left. I came in, chose my color, was directed to one of their outdated chairs and asked immediately if I wanted whatever their fancy package upgrade of the moment is. I declined, and as always, I was met with an annoyed nail technician...just how I wanted to start my pedicure. This is where things just got worse and worse. She tried to take off my polish, and with more Drama and Theatrics than a European Soccer player acting hurt, proceeded to make a big fuss about how hard my polish was to remove. "You have shellac! It's difficult!" I tried to explain that I didn't think the polish I had used ON MYSELF FROM HOME was Shellac. I showed her the bottle of only the Top Coat product I used and she says, "Yes, Gel, see Gel, Shellac! Difficult!" and proceeded to scrub dramatically to prove it would not come off. Mind you, I DID NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM LAST TIME-SAME TOP COAT. She huffed off to get her electric nail tool. Came back and started grinding away my polish, summons her Boss over (who is the one that messed my eyebrows up 8 years ago), and she says- "you have shellac! It's difficult to remove. You want Shellac again? No? It's $5 to remove it! Unless you do Shellac again and it's no charge to remove. It's $15. Do you want Shellac again?" "No, thank you." "Ok, so you pay $45(or whatever the pedicure plus Shellac polish removal was...which by the way...was faster at being removed by the grinding tool, but I was getting worried about the angry nail technician damaging my nail bed)." At this point, I was so frustrated with the scene these two caused and how horrible they were making me feel about whatever polish I used at home, I knew I didn't have much time left and the thought of having a relaxing pedicure was completely lost, so I said, "FORGET IT! I'm not going to stay and have a pedicure! It's not worth it." They just kept arguing about the difficulty of my polish to remove, but I'm sorry, don't they do Shellac there? The product I used at home I had no difficulty removing because I use the removing product, which just dissolves the top layer and it wipes off..no problem! How can they be so late to the game? So, I left, with one foot with my old polish and one foot without. If they hadn't been so damn rude, disrespectful and dramatic, I just would have paid the $5 and probably would've come back again just out of convenience, but this was the last straw for me. So, for any of you still reading this ridiculously long review, here's the products I used and the REMOVAL PRODUCT as well. Six weeks ago, I couldn't get into my regular salon in Issaquah, so I booked a last minute pedi at Angel. Today back at my regular salon and when removing the old color, only the top color coat came off. Underneath was a different color which could not be removed with acetone! She was able to lightly buff some color off but now I wait til it grows out, 3-4 months. Perhaps their DND Polish is old, who knows?! I'd never used DND polish and never will again. This is the BEST nail salon in the entire Snoqualmie Valley, I've tried every nail salon around including all of their neighbors on the ridge, downtown, on the parkway, and in North Bend. If you want THE best experience, go to Angel Nails. I've been going here for almost 8 years now. John & Jen are the most kind/friendly/professional owners you'll ever meet. Jen schedules appointments and works strictly as an admin, answering and booking, and helping people pay on their way out. She's the first person who greets you but they all say hello no matter how busy they might get. Jen rarely does nails, but when she does it is such a treat! Her work is amazing, you'd be lucky to get to sit in her chair. John hands down is the best nail artist in the salon, rightfully so. He works very hard & deserves so much love. They exceed my expectations every time. They go above and beyond for their clients, get to know each costumer on a personal level/first name basis. That's really like my family over there. I don't know what I'd do without them. I get the Dip Powder on my finger nails, and Kathy does them so well! She never cuts or scrapes my skin, she's always quick and easy to work with. I'm super impressed by my nails and get a ton of compliments, thanks to her! Kathy is so funny, and she is so great at connecting with customers. Lena does my gel pedicure. I am a fairly new client and have been thrilled with my nails each time. Today while I was there I was lucky enough to watch the owner return a purse to a client who didn't even realize she had left it there a month ago! There was no ID in the purse and the client had walked in the first time so they did not have her phone number. The owner then proceeded to retrieve her lock box/safe and pull out a significant amount of cash that had been in the purse when it was forgotten. She said she knew she would recognize the rightful owner if/when she returned. Worst nail shop experience I've had. There were 5 women and 1 man there who were "working"- one was giving herself a pedicure, the rest were eating, talking/ joking at full volume from across the entire store the whole time I was there, and I had no idea what they're saying. I was so uncomfortable- I was the only customer and I felt like I shouldn't be there. Not one of them said anything to me the whole time (except to give me my total at the end). One of them began vacuuming with the loudest vacuum making it the most not relaxing experience. I just wanted to run out. I skipped polish just to get out of there. I've never had my finger cut during a basic manicure but the manicurist cut the side of my nailbed and it's still bleeding hours later. She pushed my cuticles using her own nails. Shop is not kept up- fake poinsettias are out (it's spring) and messy with some random old birthday balloon, half-alive plants with dirt all over a long shelf. There wasn't anything to enjoy about any of this. For this awful 20 minute experience I paid $30. What a shame. Could be a really nice spot and it's not one I would ever return to. read more

Every time I have come here unfortunately it's a bad experience. I work in the beauty industry and never judge my guests or make them feel uncomfortable. I just left feeling so sad I could cry because of how one of the lady's treated me. I've tried to give them multiples chances but this was my last straw. When I left, I tipped everyone in cash and they actually demanded I tip more. I was so uncomfortable. I'm not mad at anyone or think this business is horrible but this has happened many times here and I won't be coming back even though it's so close to my home. So, I would have liked this place except for the fact that I was harassed by the owner the last time I was in there. My first time in I asked for tips and dip. The gal that did my nails did a good job but then they put gel on top of the dip. I don't like it for a few reasons 1) UV light 2) the gel scratches/scuffs easy and 3) it makes the nail thicker. I didn't say anything and walked out thinking I would just see how it went with the gel. I didn't like it. My previous nail salon would just put a dip appropriate top coat on which worked great. I went into this nail salon a second time and this time I asked her not to use the gel. She found a top coat that must have been pulled from a dusty shelf because they couldn't even get the lid off the nail polish. The top coat was old because one of the nails wouldn't dry properly. So, the owner comes over and wants to put gel on the one nail. I explained to her why I didn't want gel and she begins trying to convince me, saying "let me do it and if you don't like it we'll switch." I felt bad for the gal that did my nails. I explained to her that they'd done my nails a couple weeks prior and I didn't like the gel. She then decides she wants to confirm my story that I got my nails done by them two weeks prior and starts paging through her appointment book. I asked her why she cared and she said she'd give me a refund for the first appointment. It was the weirdest and most unprofessional behavior. First, I never, not once asked for a refund. Second, she made it seem like I was lying about getting my nails done by them so, it was super uncomfortable. As a customer I don't want to argue about what I want. If you can't accommodate me then I'll go elsewhere especially when spending close to $100 a pop. read more

I really enjoyed this nail salon. It's super clean and the new management is amazing! I arrived without an appointment and was serviced immediately, which for a Saturday is impressive. About 5 min after my services started about 3-4 others came in and they also were seen with a very short wait. I was offered a nice selection of either hot tea or cold beverages and opted for peppermint (this was free, which is a nice touch). I received a pedicure with a hot stone massage that used salt rocks. I also got a cherry blossom design on my toes. Originally I was just going to get only a pedicure, but decided to also get a manicure midservice and they were so accommodating. I ended up having two people working on me at once. The lady that did my manicure gave the BEST arm and hand massage (I almost fell asleep). The new manager was extremely helpful, she checked in with me often and even fixed a nail that I accidently damaged. She also offered me durable flip flops, because I was going to be walking around to shop, I had arrived in hiking shoes. The employees and atmosphere are very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The prices are fair and the pedicure was excellent. I am actually a regular gel manicure girl and Angel Nails recommended I try their Organic Dip nail. I did and I am hooked. No damage to my nail, feels so light on, looks natural and flawless, my nails are strong and beautiful for easily 2 weeks. The ladies who work here are extremely nice. They offered me tea and were very warm and welcoming. Joanna who did my nails did a ok job on the fill. She did make a rookie mistake though. When I saw bubbles on one of my nails , I brought it to her attention and she said it was because the dryer was dirty. Typically you'll see bubbles on nails when you put too thick a coat of nail polish on the nail which she did. She did work hard to correct it and at the end of the day she did a decent job on my nails. They need a little bit of work but again they were very kind and welcoming. read more

I've been going here for years, but had started to question the quality of my acrylic. Recently the business has been sold and the new ownership is breathing new life into this place. I had two treatments today - a fill, nail design and a pedicure. The nail design is incredible (photo posted) I love it! The pedicure was top notch, with hot stone massage. They provide a beverage while you are receiving your service. If you've not been there for while, my recommendation is to go.
