I had previously gone here to get my eyebrows waxed and went today and I told her that I did not want them thin at least 5 times. She then made them thinner than have ever had in my entire life. She showed me the first one and I was extremely upset and told her she needed to match it but that was not what I wanted and not what I told her to do. She kept telling me that she made them beautiful and it was exactly that I did not want. I will never ever go back even for a manicure. I wish I could do 0 stars. It is disrespectful to not listen to a client and do what you think they should do and not what the client very specifically asked for. Especially when it is something very noticeable on your face. I really love Tip Top. Their pedicures are the best I've ever gotten anywhere. They are nice, detail oriented, clean and it's a full service - not to mention great for the price. The only real negatives are that there's no one dedicated to the front desk or anything, so your practitioner might stop to answer the phone or talk loudly to someone new who walks in. I've never had to wait more than 20 min to be seen, appointment or no. All in all, I really love coming here. read more

The salon seemed clean enough with plastic liners in the foot basin. I did not see the instruments being disinfected in between customers. I also felt it was not clear that if I chose a scent that I was getting the "Deluxe Pedicure" which is more expensive. The part that concerns me the most is the manicure. The technician nipped my thumb bad enough to bleed and nothing was done to stop the bleeding or to disinfect it.She also filed my two right finger nails down so far that they also bled. When she put acetone on to clean off the oil it burned really badly and again nothing was done to soothe the pain. A little water would have helped. So I have gone into Tip Top nails just to get my acrylics refilled, I have never gotten a full set from them until last week. The lady that did my nails was careless and two of them were crooked. Not even a day later one of them broke off, so I went back in and she made me wait upwards for 40 minutes to get one nail fixed, when I had called the day before and scheduled an appointment. After I got that one fixed not even two days later another one came off, so I just gave up and took them all off. What a waste of money. read more

I had gone to another salon previously who was extremely careful and cautious, so I felt optimistic going somewhere closer to home. The techs continuously took off their masks as well as other customers, or wouldn't wear them properly. Then, they didn't wash hands or wear gloves between customers. Betty was also able to look at a picture I brought for nail art and replicate it beautifully. My husband had a facial while he was waiting for me and he continues to go on and on about how great it was. His skin looks amazing! The atmosphere of the spa was warm, inviting and friendly. Beware of them being too busy. One of the reasons they are, I think, is because of their popularity but it's starting to affect their customer service. I love the scrub, hot wax dip and lotion for the feet, but the past few times they've been cutting corners by soaking my feet for only a minute or so, letting go of putting cuticle remover on as well as cuticle oil and not paying attention to what they're doing. The last straw is having to wait even though I have an appointment; last time over 30 minutes and leaving me waiting in the middle of my treatment. I wish they'd limit how many treatments they do, like not take walk ins anymore or something. Shucks, time to search out another place in the valley. Well, I just got back from giving them one more try so I'm going up this to a five star review from a two star review. It appears that I have found a time during the day that they're not so busy. Great customer service, my feet got soaked for a while before the pedicure, and the new technician Lina did a great job on my pedicure! Whew! Wow, anything that could have went wrong, did go wrong. We called to set up appointments for 2 adult pedicures and 1 child pedi/mani. They booked us for 3:15pm. We show up at 3:15 and they said our appointments were canceled. By who? While they were figuring it out, I asked how long the wait would be and they said 10-15 minutes. My number 1 pet peeve is when people waste my time. We weren't seated until 3:45 and then had to wait until 4 to get started. The lady working on me, had additional customers come in. So, instead of doing a great job, she was focused on getting me in and out so she could move to the next. As she started to work on my cuticles and make her way to the pumice stone, she completely forgot about my left foot. Like what just happened here? I wanted to say something but in the effort not to embarrass my sister, I left it alone. The polish job wasn't that great either. I did appreciate the clean up when she got some on my skin. I found it really weird that when she applied the top coat, she dipped the nail polish into the bottle one time then slathered it on all 5 toenails! She didn't even look! Worst job, ever! And the prices are really high for a crap job. On top of that, I know kids like to feel treated special too. My niece picked out her polish and asked for a glitter coat. Ohmmmyyyygawd. No. They literally threw glitter all over her cute little toes. Now she's a walking, sparkle footed skin patch. Lmao read more

I got my nails done here last weekend for a wedding. We walked in hoping to get manicures at opening, but they were already busy! (Highly recommend to make an appt) they were able to take us 45 min after opening, which was fine by us. The staff was really friendly and gave us water, watermelon, grapes... completely went above and beyond. However the best part is, after abnormal manicure, my nails still look fresh a week later!! I will never come back here again. I wanted to go to our usual place but my daughter really wanted to get her nails done that day. We were nearby, we called and they were able to get us in thirty minutes later. We got there and were seated about 15 minutes later. The place is small and their gel colors seemed limited. The ladies were nice but here were my issues with this experience: 1. I felt like we were playing musical chairs, we were moved three times. 2. There were only two ladies working and they both tried to do it all. One removed my nail polish and then went on to do something else, then the other came to put the polish on. On the last coat she told me to place in the lamp three more times, then she left. The other lady came over later and slathered lotion on my skin and told me I was done. 3. My cuticle was nicked once but bad, it bled for hours later and was sore for three days. My daughter was cut and nicked three times, by the same lady. 4. My daughter and I had to keep telling the lady (remember I said they switched around- so the same lady filed our nails) that our nails were misshapen and she kept telling us they were ok, when they clearly were different shapes. Our gel manicures were $30 each, were nothing special and we both were nicked. Our usual nail salon gives us so much more for that price. Again, I will not return. read more

This is a wonderful nail salon! I had a pedicure and was pleasantly surprised to find their standard pedi comes with a paraffin wax treatment. The pedicure itself was wonderful, and my nails look great! I was also pleased to see all the tools used on me taken out of a sealed, sterilized bag and there were disposable liners in the foot baths. If I could give 0 stars I would. My friend and I tried the Nu Pedicure for $45 each. This was one of the worst experiences at a nail salon I have ever had. We booked an 11 am appointment 2 days ahead of time. They had over booked themselves so we started 15 minutes late, then my friend did not have an actual person start her Pedicure until 10 minutes after that. The woman who started my pedicure was really rough, jerked my feet around and cut me twice with the clippers. I asked her three times to please stop being so rough, she did not listen. She then stops right before painting my nails asking me to wait for paint so she can start on another customer. I will never go back to this salon. So bummed as this was meant to be a fun, relaxing experience with my friend. read more

After getting infection on my big toe after visiting one of the more popular salon, I became very hesitant in getting another pedi done anywhere. After almost a year of doing my own care, I found this place on yelp. I read all of the reviews and decided to give it a try... This is my 2nd visit. Today, I was a walk in. They seated me right away, and everyone was busy tending to their clients. A few minutes later, another walk in came in - she was turned away - a few minutes later, a regular client with an appointment came in, she was greeted and seated right away. I appreciated seeing that. This place is clean (uses a liner), everyone is pleasant and speak English (when needed). I think I found a new place to get my "paws and claws" done again. The place I usually go for nails was closed and I couldn't go another day, given I was going with a friend who is only in town for a short amount of time. If you want even the more simple design, don't bother. All they do are flowers. They also forgot the top coat on my friends toes so it rubbed off on the way. I heard a couple people that were in there with us saying their skin was being cut but that didn't happen to us. They were also very confusing, telling us to take out feet out of the water and getting mad when we did, things like that. I read some of the reviews before coming and saw that appointments were a problem so we came early but they didn't have the space yet so we came on time and had to wait about 15 minutes before anything. Other than that, it's decent if all your doing is one plain color for your fingers and that's it. Prices were fine, though they should consider lowering it for the things listed above. UPDATE: Turns out they cut so much skin from my left big toe that I can now see the sides of the nail. I didn't think it was a problem at first because apparently it had swollen so much I could hardly notice. It's throbbing, turning dark red, seeping some sort of clear liquid constantly, and let out some pus earlier. I'll update if it gets any better or worse. read more

I will never ever go anywhere else! Went in because I'd broken a nail, and they fixed it for free! This is a normal $2-3 charge, but because I'm in there all the time, they took care of me. I walk in, and they know my name and what I'm looking for. So awesome! I have pretty serious issues with my feet from multiple surgeries, and they have never hurt my feet doing a pedicure. I have had 2 great experiences so far at Tip Top Nails. Both times I walked in without an appointment and was taken care of right away. If you are one who doesn't plan ahead and make appointments (like me), then I recommend you go on a weekday Monday-Thursday when it is dead and they spend tons of time making your hands and feet look perfect! The last manicure I had (at another salon) cost me a great deal more, and the next day, all my cuticles and everything were visible again--they had only been softened pushed down! Linh was very thorough, and many times went back to trimming skin and cuticles long after she had finished that part. When I walked in the first time, it was because my heals were so severely split that I was limping around on the ball of my foot. I was also 8 months pregnant, so I didn't need any additional trouble walking. After the fancy pedicure and callus removal, the pain was gone by the next day and I could walk again. I also really like that the salon doesn't have the strong chemical smell you get everywhere else. Highly recommended. read more
