I don't like leaving negative reviews for small businesses, however, I would not return to North Bend Nails. If you don't care about price or plan to only have your nails looking nice for a week, this might be the place for you. I went in for a gel polish change. This appointment only took 15 minutes. He sanded off my old polish. He pointed my nails in a strange way to where there is a color gradient that I did not want. It's lighter at the base of my nail and gradually darker towards the tip. He was very rough with my hands, too much grabbing and pulling. Not gentle like you'd expect a nail tech to be. He also did not get close enough to the cuticle with the color so it already looks like I've had this color on much longer than I really have. There were 2 people working and I feel as though they were just rushing appointment to appointment with no attention to detail. $28 for polishing my nails. no nail trimming or shaping, no manicure. read more

This is my first time having my nails done since moving to North Bend, and I was incredibly impressed by this spot. It doesn't feel rushed, the pedicure includes hot wax, sugar scrub, and a nice massage. Manicure was done extremely well and I didn't feel super pressured to do shellac or dip like I have at other places. It was a little pricier than your 'typical nail salon' -$50 for a manicure and pedicure. The quality of work and the extras make it well worth it. I will absolutely be back! read more

My friend and I came to this nail salon for mani pedis because of the ratings and reviews for Nick. Nick did an excellent job with the manicure and filing for me, but burnt my friends hand by over-filing. Her fingers hurt and feel tender. I got french nails. I did not receive the short tip length that I desired even after asking twice. Also be sure to ask for a quote before you sit in their chair! They do not have a price menu so I believe this means that you are charged whatever they want! $85 for a French mani and regular pedi? I understand that COVID is a hard time for businesses but customers have budgets, too. Additionally the pedicure was done with a very unsteady hand and my toes have polish in the cuticles. Not impressed left the place with my nails glued to my skin and one finger bleeding because Nick was trying to get them unglued from my skin. I had to stop him as it hurt really bad and didn't want to have my fingers bleeding. It's been 2 days and my fingers are still in pain. Not planing to go back your fingers should never be in pain when getting your nails done. Got my naIls done here today, very easy to schedule my appointment when I called in , I arrived 5-10 min early and was called on time for my appointment. Great selection of colors as well. I did not get Nick. No clue what my girls name was for a pedicure but all she did for communication was hit my legs when she wanted me to do something. Also had a terrible cough so yeah I'm guessing I'll be sick in a few days. 25 minute spa pedicure with a cut toe she cut, then she over polished onto the cut and proceeded to use straight alcohol / polish remover? That she dipped a brush into 4 times to clean her over polished mess. Hurt like acid in an open wound. Did not say a word. Horrid. The worse pedi ever. It was sort of cheap but I really wanted a nice pedicure. Sad. read more

Nick did an awful job on my acrylic nail fill and I left feeling disappointed and like I wasted my money. I went home and repainted them myself and they look much better. He put too much polish on where they did not dry for 6 hours after I walked out of the appointment. The shaping and filing was sloppy and not at all what I asked for. Nick was also not wearing a mask while talking to customers. I will not come back here. read more

Had my first mani/pedi for my anniversary with my wife. They are very friendly and did a great job. Nick and his staff are excellent.

By FAR the best acrylic manicures within at least a 30 mile radius. The hype is real: Nick is THE best nail tech I've ever worked with in the area. He's quick, keeps your fingers neat as he works, and my nails last for-ever. They are strong & last me a good 5 weeks. He even does a color back fill that ombrés into your current color that is awesome & cheaper than getting a new set every time. When I get a pedi at the same time, my appointments can be pretty long. It does get busy but their new location better suits the crowd coming in & out. Because he's the only acrylic tech, he can run behind if he's accepted a walk in close to your appointment time but he's good at juggling more than one acrylic customer at a time. My pedis have lasted an appropriate amount of time & are nicely done. The gals don't have quite as much charm as Nick but he's worth it! read more

Pros: Nick is great. He always does an awesome job on my nails. Cons: You will definitely pay for your great looking set of nails. He is not cheap but I would not go anywhere else ever again. It can be difficult to get an appointment on a Saturday, he is always full. But that's just a testament to how good he is. I absolutely love this place and the people who took care of me. Nick is the owner and remembers everyone's names. That's amazing in itself. But what is so great is the job done on nails. My pedicures are perfect and always last. By lasting I mean 5-7 weeks! No kidding. I usually have to go get my toes re-done because they've grown out not because they're chipped! I love that! You guys need to get some new OPI Polish. These have been the same since you opened years ago. Go spend 50.00 on the latest two OPI collections. You will have more people come back if there is some NEW options. The skinny lady seems annoyed that she has to help anyone. I felt uncomfortable. I've only had pedicures here and I have never been disappointed with the quality. My 2 stars is a function of their consistently poor time management. I always make appointments as I am not at all keen to waste time waiting for a service, but even with an appointment I end up sitting around waiting. I've waited over 30 minutes for an appointment I made over the phone just an hour prior. I would never go in without an appointment and if I make an appointment I do expect for the actual time to be close to the appointment time. There are so many alternatives around that I've decided to stick with another salon in town that seems to be able to manage appointments better. read more

Been going to NBN now for around 2 years, and the quality of acrylic work that Nick does is truly amazing. Plan ahead for an acrylic appointment- women are lined up at the door. He is fast, efficient, and strives for perfection. After moving 12 miles away, I still choose to go to Nick and the girls for my beauty needs, because no one does a better job AND you will not find a better quality job for a lower price. All services are reasonably priced an well worth it. I strongly recommend Nick for an eyebrow wax, he is just a master at everything he does. read more

Went to Nick at North Bend Nail by default....my other salon that I had been going to didn't have anyone in the shop who was trained to do "a fill" on the day I needed it (huh ?????). Well, guess what? I will never go back because I tried Nick (owner of North Bend nails) and he is great, my nails look beautiful, they stay white, DO NOT break (I'm hard on my nails)....and Nick is fast....very fast! I am so pleased with the end look! Have had a pedicure there too. The girls are very nice and do a very good job! Not cheap, but....hey, I can go 3 - 4 weeks and my nails STILL look pretty good! I have NEVER, and I mean NEVER had better acrylics. Nick is incredible and extremely talented. I go 3 weeks between fills, and have never had a break or chip. A girlfriend of mine has very slow growing nails and can go 6 weeks between fills, and she too has never had a break or chip either. The quality isn't bad, I keep coming here because it's easier for me since I live in Snoqualmie. I like glitter acrylic and they have it. The reason this is a 3 star is because he is consistently running behind. Not just a little behind it's an average of a half hour every time. I understand if you got behind once or twice but it's every time.its very frustrating. Learn how to manage your time. As I'm writing this my appointment has ran 25 mins over my scheduled time three pedicure people have come and gone and he hasn't said a word to me since I arrived. Wishing I lived anywhere else right now. Update: I would also like to add it is very annoying that Nick is so cocky. He has talked about himself almost the entire appointment every appointment. He just goes on and on about how great he is and how you can't get his quality anywhere else which by the way I find comical since one time he was saying this to me again and it wasn't even his work haha. read more
