I rarely leave reviews like this, but our experience at Truce was disappointing enough that I feel prospective guests should know what they are actually booking. First, calling this a "spa" feels generous. We had planned a girls' spa day, and one of the amenities we were particularly looking forward to was the red light therapy that Truce advertises. When we arrived, we learned that the red light equipment had been recalled and was unavailable. No one had contacted us ahead of time to let us know. When I pointed out that guests should have been notified before their appointments so they could decide whether they still wanted to come, the response was essentially, "You never told us you wanted to use the red light." That is an extraordinary response when it is an advertised amenity of the facility. Guests should not have to individually announce in advance which advertised spa amenities they might like to use in order to be informed that those amenities are unavailable. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning. Approximately three hours before my appointment, I called because I was dealing with a medical emergency and could no longer attend. I understood that Truce has a cancellation policy and that I might still be charged. What I did not expect was for them to make one of my friends pay my $160 massage fee -- despite having my credit card on file. Their explanation was that once I canceled, my card had somehow been removed or canceled from the appointment. If you are going to enforce a full-price cancellation charge, then charge the card the guest provided. Requiring another member of the party to pay someone else's $160 bill was unnecessary, embarrassing, and incredibly poor customer service. I have since contacted the manager twice, asking for something very simple: credit my friend's card for the charge and allow me to pay the $160 myself using my own credit card. Both attempts have gone unanswered. That is perhaps the most disappointing part. Mistakes and poor decisions happen. Good customer service is demonstrated by how a business responds when given an opportunity to correct them. In this case, management has had two opportunities to resolve a very straightforward issue and has simply chosen not to respond. The experience for the friends who did attend wasn't exactly luxurious either. The "relaxation room" apparently has no door, no snacks, no magazines or other touches one would normally associate with a higher-end spa -- just tea. Even worse, conversations from the front desk carried directly into the room, including a loud personal phone conversation that was decidedly not relaxing or professional. During the massage itself, loud bass/electronic music from the neighboring venue could be heard strongly enough to compete with the spa music. For a facility located in a high-end hotel in downtown Bellevue, the entire experience was surprisingly amateurish. A true spa experience is about more than providing a massage. It is the environment, amenities, professionalism, communication, hospitality, and attention to detail surrounding the treatment. Truce missed the mark on nearly every one of those things. We expected a relaxing girls' spa day. What we received was an unavailable advertised amenity with no advance notice, an astonishing response when we questioned that lack of notice, questionable cancellation handling, management that has ignored two attempts to resolve the resulting billing issue, a decidedly un-relaxing environment, and a level of service nowhere near what the location and pricing suggest. There are too many excellent spas in the Seattle/Bellevue area to justify paying premium prices for this experience. read more

This review is based off of the front desk customer service experience. We did not get services due to the interaction that took place with the front desk. Front desk woman with short blonde hair, older woman, was a complete nightmare. We had initially booked services and due to how awful she treated us we cancelled. She was very rude and unprofessional. Management was notified and we were told it would be a "learning experience for the employee." Not sure how you can change a grown woman whose sole job is to provide a good experience for customers, but good luck to them. If being treated like garbage is your thing, this is the place for you. read more

WARNING TO NEW CLIENTS -- PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING. THEFT WARNING. I was a first-time client at Truce Spa in Bellevue, and this visit was a Mother's Day gift. I was booked a full spa package from my husband and arrived expecting a relaxing luxury experience. Unfortunately, my experience left me extremely disappointed and concerned. My appointment began normally with a 60-minute facial. During the treatment, I felt uncomfortable with several comments made by the esthetician. She asked what I did for work, then commented that my husband "must make a lot of money," and later remarked that I "looked like a single girl." Regardless of intent, these comments felt inappropriate, personal, and judgmental during what should have been a professional service experience. Next, I received a 90-minute massage. I had requested medium pressure, but unfortunately the massage did not meet my expectations. The therapist was polite, but the service quality itself felt average compared to other spa experiences I've had. I then completed my manicure and pedicure. Altogether, I was at the spa from approximately 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM on June 2, 2026, and during that time I appeared to be the only client present. After returning home, I realized that my Louis Vuitton keychain was missing from my locker. This keychain had been attached to my car key fob for approximately three years and is not something I remove. I specifically remember having it before arriving at the spa. I contacted the spa and asked about their locker access procedures. I was told that opening a locker with a master key would reset the combination. I asked whether there was any documentation or demonstration of this process but did not receive additional clarification. To be clear: I cannot say with certainty what happened to my item. However, I know the last location where I had access to it was inside the spa, and I left feeling unsettled that my concern was not taken more seriously. What disappointed me most was the response afterward. When I reached out to discuss the situation, I did not feel empathy, reassurance, or a willingness to investigate my concern beyond stating there was no evidence. I understand that locker rooms cannot have cameras for privacy reasons, but as a customer reporting missing property, I expected more concern and communication. Luxury service is not just about treatments--it is also about professionalism, customer care, and how concerns are handled when something goes wrong. Also just to let you know that Carol the owner will be very apologetic here on reviews but not over the phone or text messages. She even told me over text messages to please stop texting her. Based on my personal experience, I would not return or recommend this spa. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously moving forward and reviews both staff conduct and locker security procedures. read more

This place is located inside the Westin. They have naturally flavored water with oranges when I went. Also there were teabags to choose from. I got the lemon turmeric one. Facial was nice. Got the $20 upgrade to have the Eminence exfoliation treatment. So relaxing! You also get a terry cloth robe and slippers to lounge around in. read more

Today was our 3rd couples massage at Truce and each time has been fantastic! I love the time to relax pre-massage and have time to relax. The locker room for woman has always been clean and sanitary. Today I got Sheila and oh boy was she good!!! I told her to work what she felt I needed and she definitely did. I look forward to a great night sleep! I felt like a puddle of skin and bones once the 90 minutes was over my husband had Patrick and he said he was fabulous as well. (I can attest to that as he was mine the previous time) they both are great at listening and doing what needs to be done. My husband had his plantar fasciitis acting up and Patrick talked him through what he thought would be a good treatment. I keep wanting to sign up for the monthly massages. I just need to pull the trigger. So worth it. I'm so happy we found such a great place to work out our stress! read more

I've been here several times for mani/pedi & massages. This time I came for a PRENATAL massage (they've 60 and 90 minutes) So for $99 I got an hour prenatal massage. For those who don't know, Truce Spa is very well located and easy to access. It's in the Westin Hotel from Bellevue. To get here you take the elevator where the pool is. During the weekends an appointment is highly recommended since they're always fully booked (specially mani/pedi.) TIP: subscribe to their email list you'll get pretty nice deals. The staff will welcome and check you in. You'll have your own locker so you can change, put a robe on and get ready for your massage. While you wait they'll offer you refreshments such as tea, water, etc. What's a prenatal massage? It is for pregnant women, dah! LOL just kidding (CAUTION: you can't have a massage on your 1st trimester) The difference with a normal massage is that they're more gentle and you'll be laying on your sides most of the time. Sometimes during pregnancy we're more sensitive to certain smells, so you can ask them just to use oil or any unscented cream. Otherwise they'll show you all their choices to be used for your massage like lavender, citrus, among others. I humbly believe this place is a little bit overrated, and it's hard to get appointments for the weekends. I've been in other SPAS where you feel more pampered. When an issue arose the front desk told me they do not have managers that are available...... not only that I asked to speak with one and they said they would "try to text them" and it would be a few days that they may get back to me. The prices they charge should not be that if they don't have anyone who is fully able to handle the front. That is nonsense. I was not impressed. My problem was a girl cancelled and I was fully ready to pay the fees of that but I asked to move up a girl into the extra spot and they said they could not do that,.... but they had the massage therapist ready for the other girl before ??? make it make sense. Petra at the front desk was charming. She was very accommodating to all our needs into scheduling times that worked for us. We were a little late, and a massage therapist made sure I still got my whole time which was very cool. Was a little skimpy on the wine pour and that's probably the only complaint. Five stars for the massages. Facials are also great. There is a new person doing manicures and pedicures, and she is very nice, but not very good at it. I didn't really look at my pedicure closely because it used to be great. When I got home it looked like I had done it myself in the dark. I hope she can step up her game or they can find somebody who is as good as the person that used to have. something else that's odd are the chairs you sit in for the pedicures. They are hard to climb into. I wish they were ordinary pedicure chairs. They are not comfortable. I'll go elsewhere for that service and continue to see Truce for massages and facials! I wish I could give 5 stars but after this I experience I don't think I can... I had left the spa feeling really great but then I got a call from the owner saying her esthetician told her that I said I have been exposed to an infectious virus and then came to your facility. This is a VERY serious accusation and NOT at all true. I never said this and it's bothersome that someone would not only spread such a horrible rumor but also would spend an hour hovering over someones face that she thought might have an infectious disease. As a healthcare worker I would never say such a thing and I certainly wouldn't go to a day spa if I had been exposed to something contagious. I do work at a hospital but that does NOT mean that I have been exposed to or infected by any infectious diseases. Healthcare workers take infection control very seriously and we use every precaution available to make sure we and others are safe. I understand why the Owner needed to call me for clarification, as she should, but the fact that your esthetician would say that I said something like in the first place is upsetting. When the owner called me I shocked that thought how ridiculous it was that their esthetician said this and wasn't going to update my original review, but then I saw that someone from your facility had the audacity to reply to my original post..Its obvious that your staff takes very little care in respect for your clients. On a side note: I did tell your esthetician that I have extremely sensitive skin and to be mindful of the products she used on my face. My face hasn't broken out in years because I am very careful about what I put on it. I was mostly worried about the signs of aging which is why I wanted the facial in the first place. The very next day my face broke out all over and days later I am still doing damage control. The woman who did my massage, wrap and sugar scrub was wonderful so I really hate to give this type of review..but I can say for sure that I will not be getting another facial nor any other services at your establishment. My advice to you would be to educate your staff on infection control and if they do have clients that actually are sick then they should notify their supervisor immediately and not wait until after they have sat over someone's face for a hour to say something; nor should they send them to the sauna afterwards (as she did with me). Secondly, I would advise you to hire employees that are honest and take care not to say things that aren't true. These types of accusations can be harmful in so many ways. This was supposed to be a birthday gift to me from my family...to help my relax because I do have a very stressful job at the hospital. I work hard to help others and all I wanted was a day to relax but since that phone call I have not been able to stop thinking about how awful it was that your employee would do this...Its truly an unforgettable experience. read more

I am sorry to say that my experiences at Truce have become completely unpredictable. A spa that I once loved and just had to share with friends has become unreliable... It's staffing hit or miss. To be fair, I do have high standards. I expect a soothing rhythm and symmetry to be maintained throughout my service. And I certainly DO NOT expect a professional (at this price point) to be clumsy in their execution. I'm disappointed after today's visit, as my body and mind do not feel relaxed or rejuvenated. I am hopeful that Truce can provide its longtime customers with a consistently positive experience, but I'm also willing to move on if it cannot. Recommendation: Perhaps the owner should receive a massage from potential therapists before hiring? I doubt my most recent experience would meet your standards. read more

I am a spa lover but this spa is only built around profit and NOT RELAXATION. Clearly the spa director cares nothing about experience or she/he would have properly trained front desk staff and service providers. I was rushed through all of my appointments, of which I upgraded to 90 min services and received less then 60 mins. The manicure and pedicure was THE WORST I have ever gotten. I get a better experience and service at the nail salon by my house. I also had a 90 massage which was filled with question asking and incessant talking by the massage therapist. I wanted a full spa day at a Westin spa because I thought they would be responsive to my needs because of the size of the brand but NO this place is not high end and lacks quality and integrity. I was surprised that this spa has been open for a year but no reviews as yet. I was looking for a nice day spa in Bellevue to treat my husband to a massage for his birthday. On the plus side, the lounge looks welcoming as does the entry way. The receptionist was kind to honor a promotion on their website even though we booked a longer service than the promotion. On the negative side, my husband arrived five minutes early for his appointment in hopes of it starting on time. The spa was completely empty since it was a mid-day appointment... However, his masseuse not only started ten minutes to fifteen minutes late and wasn't apologetic when she came late but a bit rude (a later guest arrived and started on her appointment before him). The massage was only ok (it was their signature massage), he's had better massages before. The late start meant the massage ended late and we ended up really late for our lunch reservation... If only I had known this before giving the masseuse a generous tip :(. I don't think we'd go back but it was good to try...
