I was looking for an affordable massage spot with good reviews that my husband and I could visit regularly to help with our ongoing muscle tension. It's definitely not a luxury spa setting, so if you're looking for that upscale ambiance, this isn't it. But if you're after good value and effective massage work, it delivers. Since it's located right off 8th Street, we could hear some traffic and people talking outside, but it wasn't too distracting. Wow I've passed this spot so many times from Redmond to the mall, but never stopped by (they advertise by the side of the road). I was finally having a very free day and made a last minute decision to try a massage here-- -- and I'm so glad I did! My shoulders/upper body has been abnormally tight for a while, enough to cause my wrist/arm some issues, so I've been trying different places, but Sunny Massage is the first one that loosened and worked deep without causing me pain. I think a lot of places that I went to considered pain part of the process, but I know that I tense up more with it. Here, I asked my therapist (Coco?) for "medium" pressure, and it was relaxing enough for me to go to sleep. The result at the end, my neck and shoulders haven't felt so loose in SUCH a long time. (TBD: what I'm doing that's causing it to be so terrible in the first place. Maybe lack of regular care.) This place is a little pricier than the others I've gone to, but I think it's still considered a cheaper location. I also opted for the additional $10 for hot stone and scents and it was pretty nice, though I don't know that it was necessary. (The hot stones felt surprisingly nice though; I've had hot stones before that mostly just tensed me up because of the heat, but this one I could feel the blood coming back from the warmth instead.) My boyfriend and I live in California and always make it a point to stop here for a massage when we come to the Seattle area. My most recent massage was great and the masseuse checked in throughout to make sure the pressure was ok and if the stretching of my arms/legs was ok. They are very hands on and tell you before they apply scented oil, hot stones, etc. If there are any areas you want them to avoid or skip, just tell them beforehand or even during the massage. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a couples massage, so I went on Groupon and stumbled across Sunny Massage in Bellevue! The service was fantastic. They were very accommodating, as they scheduled me the same day I made the appointment. The ladies were very sweet and kept checking up on us if the pressure was okay. The hot stones were beyond relaxing, it was my favorite part of the massage. Next, it was the first time I used the hot herb bags during a massage and it was really nice. I really felt the masseuse was highly trained because she got every muscle group of mine and got all my knots out! The ambiance was average, there wasn't much decoration, or designs. But the beds and room were very clean, along with the bathroom. The only negative part was there wasn't someone at the front desk 24/7 so my lady had to go out a couple times to talk to the customers. But she apologized and gave me a little extra time. My only recommendation would be for the music to be a tad bit louder to avoid hearing the outside door bell ring every time someone walks in, since it was a bit loud. I really wanted to like this place but after reflecting on everything that happened I have to rate it 2 stars. First, we got a Groupon for a couples massage. Price was $180 for a "60 minute deluxe body massage w/essential oil, hot stone, & hot herb bag for 2". Seemed like an ok price for two. It was also our 1 year wedding anniversary so we really wanted a massage and this place seemed to have good reviews. I called the place and scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance. After I got off the phone they immediately texted me photos of the location, the address and confirmed our appointment date and time. Great-love that for me. We arrived 15 minutes early to our appointment and a woman asked if we had called ahead. I said yes and then she asked what service I wanted. I let her know it was for a couples massage, under my name at 4pm. She seemed very confused and we got the impression that we were not scheduled. I told her I made the appointment two weeks ago and I showed her the text confirmation. I think the text is what saved us. She went into panic mode and called someone on her phone. She offered us water and had us sit and wait on a massage table in an empty dark room and closed the door while she got our room ready. A second woman showed up and frantically started helping her. Went to the bathroom while waiting and noticed multiple signs saying to not flush anything including toilet paper down the toilet as they are fixing their plumbing. So you had to throw your used toilet paper in the trash which I felt a little grossed out by but I guess I understood. It took them about 30 minutes to get our room ready for us. I was conflicted on how I was feeling because this should have already been ready as I made an appointment well in advance. But I was also very grateful that they were rallying to be able to do our massage. Note: we were the only customers there. They had us undress and get in the bed under the sheet. They didn't ask what areas to focus on or where not to touch. They did ask if we wanted medium or hard pressure. I said hard, as I have some deep knots and an injury from a car accident which requires some work. My husband said medium but he later said he felt he the pressure he received was hard. The massage was ok? The pressure was hard and in some places really hurt. I'm not sure if she had an actual technique or if she was just trying anything because it didn't feel like she actually felt my spots and worked on them. Most massage's I have had will find those "spots" and really work them out. This felt a little all over the place. At one point my leg was bent up in the air like a chicken wing. It was odd but I was trusting the process. My husband and I got two very different massages. He said she put his arm behind his back and then both arms and tried to crack him which he was a little nervous about. I never got that. He also got a lot of both hands beating along his back, I never got either. He wasn't butterflied leg out like I was. Also, my lady got on the table with me and had her knee between my legs and was massaging me over my body. Felt very intimate. My husband said that his gal also got on the bed and did something similar. Boy are the hot stones hot for the hot stone massage. My gal gradually warmed my body up to them, my husband said his did not and it was really hot. During the massage, I heard a text ping go off. She stopped massaging, texted back (in full volume) and continued the massage. There is also a door bell that rings whenever someone enters. I noticed it when I came but it didn't go off when we had our massage, as no one else came in. But I can see that being annoying during their busy hours. We left a tip for each of them and left. They were very apologetic both before and after about the wait in getting the room done. They were very nice and i think they handled us not being scheduled, well. We left thinking the massage was good but as the night went on kept replaying all the things that happened and we were a little disappointed. Also, we are incredibly sore. And not like a good sore. Like neither of us can lay on our back. My back feels bruised in some areas and even my soft pillow hurts to touch. My husband is even more pain two days later and is having a hard time sitting for work. We've tried Ibuprofen, heat, ice, and cbd spray. Makes me really wonder if they have an actual technique or if we were just a free for all and now we need to go somewhere else to get "fixed" I give them 2 stars because they handled the situation well, they were friendly, the establishment was clean and if you're looking for just a random massage, this would be the place. read more

We drove all the way from Seattle to Believe just to come get a massage from them! We really enjoyed our massage. I have been in WA for 4years, tried so many different massage places. They always start by asking you where you want to focus on and what heavy you want your pressure to be. I have always been a pretty heavy pressure customer and the massage therapist actually was able to reach deep enough for my muscle to feel completely relaxed. I'm not sure how far back you checked your cameras as you wouldn't know when she was there based on my review. Even so, I don't know how this disputes the event occurring. She entered a business with a sign saying "Sunny Massage" on it. Not sure where else she would have been? Whoever she interacted with told her they didn't know how to deal with the voucher and when my wife asked if they could call someone for help, she was told no. They then told her she could pay for a 60 minute massage if she wanted, or go somewhere else. I'm sure you offer quality services that are a good value, but in this situation we were denied a service that was already payed for and no effort to figure it out was made by your business at that time. Best of luck. ------------- I bought my wife a 60 minute massage through Groupon as a postpartum gift. When she showed up for her scheduled appointment they wouldn't accept her voucher and told her she could pay for a massage or go somewhere else. She brought cash to tip on the full non-discounted price and was looking forward to this for weeks. Just really disappointing and awful customer service, no matter how quality the massage might be. Either way, they completely wasted her time, gas money, and let her down after looking forward to a something nice for herself. Certainly won't consider them going forward.
