It was very strong smelling and you could smell it down the hallway. The entrance was very unkept and cluttered. This room appeared to be part massage room and part storage room with other items and equipment stacked all along the walls. The massage itself was very average and the ladies were friendly but did not speak English very well. The photos posted in Yelp are all stock photos and do not represent what you will see in this spa. There are many better options in the area.

The interior of i Spa stands out. Unlike many massage places that can feel basic, this one has a unique charm. The room I was in had a ceiling lit up like a starry sky, and the sliding doors were draped, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. I opted for the 60-minute Swedish massage. Though I didn't get my therapist's name, she had excellent technique and pressure. The whole experience left me feeling rejuvenated. The manager deserves a mention too. I had some unexpected free time, called them up last minute, and they were able to fit me ino. The staff was welcoming and professional from start to finish. I'd certainly recommend i Spa to anyone looking for a quality massage experience.

By far the worst experience I've had. I usually don't write reviews unless I have to because I just…read moredon't have time for it. Hear me out. I made a couple of calls around the area for a last-minute massage and I Spa was the only place with availability. So I went and was greeted by this lady (doesn't speak English very well) who walked me into a room. It looked like no one else was there (now I see why). She showed me a bottle of oil and asked if this was OK. I asked her what that was and she said, "essential oil -- OK?" (Don't they all use oil for massages???) So I said yeah, that was fine. Later I found out that this "essential oil" was an extra $15 (wtf). Then she offered me hot stone (of course she didn't mention this but this was also for an additional fee). I wasn't sure why she was asking at first, so I just said no thanks. Anyway, the moment she lays her hands on me for the massage, I was able to tell that she did not have much strength. I am 5'4 and 98lbs -- you don't need to be a macho man to give me a good massage. I really wanted to walk out or tell her that I wanted to make this a shorter massage, but decided to give her a chance and asked her for more pressure. Since the request, she used her elbows for about 70% of the time. Sigh. I really wanted to leave but this lady was trying and I didn't want to be rude or hurt her feelings. I just stayed through the pain (big mistake). When it was time for me to pay, she explained that the oil was an additional charge and pointed at the rate sheet. First of all, you shouldn't offer services without explaining or getting confirmation from the customer that an additional fee is acceptable. I don't think even think using oil is considered "extra" service but whatever. I looked through the chart and saw that the hot stone was also for an additional fee (WTF). That explains why she kept offering me additional shit when I specifically told her that I was just there for a deep tissue massage. I felt scammed. Their rates were about $30 higher than other places I've been to but I would have been OK if the massage was good. NOT WORTH IT. I didn't even want to tip her but still gave the poor lady $5 for trying. Once she saw that I didn't tip her much, it obviously showed on her face and she did not even thank me or say bye. RUDE. I hope the manager or the owner sees this review because you seriously need to retrain yourselves.

My first experience here was just okay. I was looking for a massage close to home and found this…read moreplace offering a great deal--90 minutes for $100. I booked a few days in advance through their website and included a note that I am currently 6 months pregnant and requested to lie on my side while my back was being worked on. Kate greeted me outside with a smile when I was trying to find the location. She was very kind and welcoming. There seemed to be a slight language barrier, so I explained that I was pregnant and wanted to lie on my side so my back could be massaged. When I wasn't sure she understood, I pointed to my belly, and she realized I was pregnant. I tried explaining again with gestures that my back was my main area of concern. She then asked if I had booked a 60-minute massage. I told her I had booked 90 minutes. She seemed surprised and repeated, "90 minutes?" I told her that if 90 minutes wasn't appropriate because I was pregnant, I was okay with changing it to 60 minutes. About 20 minutes into the massage, while she was working on my left arm, I noticed she was using only one hand and seemed distracted. Her phone kept buzzing near my head, and it felt like she may have been texting. A little later, she apologized and stepped out of the room to greet what sounded like a walk-in customer. I heard her say, "Can you wait 10 more minutes?" When she came back, she asked me, "Is 60 minutes okay?" I was confused because we had already discussed that earlier. It made me feel like my appointment was being shortened to accommodate the walk-in customer. I looked at the clock and noticed there were only about 15 minutes left, and my back hadn't been worked on at all. I assumed she was saving it for the end, but unfortunately, she never massaged my back. The one area I specifically requested--both in my online booking notes and in person--was completely skipped. Kate herself was very friendly and smiled every time she spoke with me. I also didn't want to put her in an uncomfortable position by asking again about my back after the walk-in customer had arrived. My biggest suggestion would be to take the time to read the notes customers leave when booking online and tailor the massage accordingly. Also, I don't think it's appropriate to have a phone buzzing or being used during a massage, especially so close to a client's head. Kate was genuinely kind, which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. I hope they improve because treating every new customer with the same care as a regular customer is what brings people back.

I was very pleasantly surprised. What a gem! I was apprehensive at first because of the stigma that has become attached to massage places in recent years. But, despite my apprehension, I went for it and I'm glad I did! Went in and was greeted by a little bundle of energy named Jessica. She was quite personable and friendly and dressed very appropriately, which was good to see. It took less than a minute for my apprehension to vanish. With the knot in my back/neck, I felt like I needed someone strong...and I told her that and I asked if she had another masseuse available, because she is quite petite. She told me the other girl was busy and assured me that she was strong enough. It was quite cute actually, she said "don't worry, I am very strong" and I was just like, "well, okay!" We agreed to an hour, I got ready in the room, and soon she came in and we got going. The hour went quickly and the massage was outstanding, a real good combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue....AND...she WAS surprisingly strong. I was amazed at times by the pain (good pain) she was able to inflict on me at times during the deep tissue. The whole experience ended up being quite enjoyable, from start to finish. Moments of quiet with nice music...moments of relaxation...moments of good pain...and a few laughs because she really has a great personality and good sense of humor. Not even a hint of any shenanigans, which was a pleasant surprise...and the atmosphere was really nice, clean, and professional. Oh, and the knot felt significantly better by the time we finished. I asked her if she was licensed and she pointed to her license hanging right on the wall by the front desk. Just a good overall experience and I'll definitely return.
