The massage was good and the pedicure was what I wanted. My disdain, however , is that the salon uses and reuses their old brushes and foot scrubs. The items that were used on me were so worn out, I almost panicked when I saw it and asked if they use new tools. The lady said they re use their items but sanitize them. I don't know how other salons operate but I've never had this experience before. I was horrified. I did choose to stay because I was going to an event right after and I needed a pedicure. Thankfully, my feet are ok and everything is fine because I prayed to God to prevent any issues. That being said, I will never go back. Might be standard practice in some places, but not something I am willing to risk again. read more

Long overdue review. I got my nails done with the woman whose family owns the salon. She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and the prices were incredibly fair. I got a dip ombre with some light glitter accent on the tips. These lasted more than a month! I was so happy with the care and attention to detail. It took me some time as usual to decide what I wanted, still didn't know what I wanted service wise to begin with or when it was time for polish, but she was so patient with me. I believe the first girl wasn't my vibe so they switched me over to the woman who ended up doing my take off and all the services I got. It's right across from Cosmo Prof. I was in town to visit family and I am new to this area and always reluctant to try new nail spots. I will be back when I am in town again. Went here for my first time today and had a good experience. The area is convenient and plenty of parking around. The salon inside is clean and bright, good color selection. I had a shellac pedicure and shellac manicure done at the same time. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The chairs aren't the most comfortable but you can adjust them. The overall finish of the pedicure and shellac manicure looked so good. They really paid attention to detail and shape. I will be be back! read more

Found a new nail salon in Overlake area. This gem is a family run salon. When I stepped into Hera I could tell they put a lot of thought into their place. It's modern, clean, bright, and felt inviting. I had a deluxe pedicure and full set dip nails with design. I showed her a picture and she did an awesome job. Super nice and well kept salon! Went in for my birthday/Eras Tour nails. The guy doing my pedicure was very thorough. The ladies doing my nails for my gel x full set were great as well, and they copied my inspo pic well. My mom got gel polish and a pedicure, and she's satisfied with the results. However, I didn't notice until after I left that two of the extensions on my left hand were not properly adhered to the nail, so there's a massive gap between that will definitely lead to premature lifting and dirt accumulation. I think they might've been in a little bit of a rush because a huge group of maybe 8 people came shortly before my set was finished. I'm thinking I'll probably go back in to get it fixed. Will update to 5 stars if that happens! Overall, they're a solid salon with good customer service and prices. My set was $80 ($60 base, $20 for design), not including tip. Would recommend this place! Just check your nails to make sure there's nothing wrong before you leave lol. read more

I had an excellent basic manicure that I appreciated it. I also appreciated that the tools used were fresh and clean. However, I was very uncomfortable with what was on their television at the Redmond Hera location. They are showing video after video of sexual encounters, no exposed body parts but graphic and in a few cases, violent. I'm not sure the people working there are even aware if it They are not facing the television! It's not relaxing. They need to turn off the television and play classical music! Or turn on a nature channel. I won't be going back Until I learn on Yelp that they have made that change. read more

Great experience at HERA compared to the price tag and quality of job! I had Philip do my gel manicure and regular pedicure, and felt very satisfied with the results. I also brought my mom and dad, who have both never gotten treatments done, for mani + pedi (mom) and pedi (dad). They enjoyed their experience too! Julie and the other male nail tech were attentive to their needs and very helpful. Julie's customer service in particular is off the charts. This nail spa is still pretty new, super clean and not as busy as expected! I called on a Friday afternoon for a same day appointment and there were only 2 other customers + me. This place is unique bc they have gel x which I haven't seen at many other places. I tried a full gel x set + 2 nails of design. During the part where the nail attaches to your natural nails, you'll feel some heat on your nails, let your nail tech know when it gets hot instead of sitting there quiet. I'm very specific about how short + the shape and Stephanie did a really good job. I went here for the first time about a month ago. The experience was eh. The person doing my manicure took off at one point to help someone else who walked in while I sat in the pedicure seat waiting for her. For a mani/deluxe pedi it took about 2 hours since she left to help someone else. Normally it would have been fine but I had plans that night. She was obviously rushing to complete my nails after the long wait because she cut my finger in the process. It is $45 for a gel manicure with $10 dip removal The pedicure was okay, it seemed like the person helping me was new to nail service. She kept asking the manicurist questions or steps in the process. Everything from the water to the towels were too hot and not checked prior to placing on my legs/feet. My pedicure chipped in less than 24 hours, that was a first for me. For $60 for a "deluxe" pedicure, I would expect the polish to last. Overall, it was a very expensive underwhelming experience for the $115 price tag. The only reason for the extra star is for the new massage chairs. read more

HERA is my hero and my new go to for mani pedis! This place is less than a year old and everything is beautiful and new. The staff is super professional and do an amazing job. All the amenities are modern, massage chairs actually work and even wifi is so easily accessible with a QR code. They even serve coffee, tea, water and wine if you ask for it! OMG the HERA Nail and Spa is a hidden Gem. Located in what used to be the old Sears Tire and Auto department in Redmond / Bellevue off of 148th. The owners and family are welcoming and very friendly. The atmosphere is fresh, clean and adorably comfortable. I brought my wife, daughter and son in today as a special summertime treat. All you dudes who have never had a Pedi really should go in with your wife and enjoy the experience. Foot soak in warm water, nail trim, foot scrub soothing aromatic lotion with a little massage never hurts anyone. This is my 3rd time at Hera's and I still recommend it. I had Charlie, who started my pedicure and then Mimi who finished it. Both were very thorough which I appreciate. It took about an hour for my pedi. Mimi had a softer touch but Charlie wasn't bad. Catherine worked on my manicure and really wanted me to like my color. I was telling her it was a bit too white considering I thought it was supposed to be a light pink, put it in neutral is the color. So Mimi suggested a topcoat pink which worked but then Catherine added another coat to tone down the pink. I liked how they tried their best to fix an issue that was due to my own poor color choice. My manicure color looked awful on me. My fault. The manicure itself was really good. Since there was room and time for me to relax they let me dry my nails in the massage chair for a bit longer. My daughter and I had our nails done here for our upcoming holiday family photos. We wanted the same thing, with a cute little Rudolph the red nose reindeer on our thumbs. I have to say Mimi and Phillip were amazing. We arrived early for our apt and we were able to pick out colors and start asap. I will note we went on a weekday and it was so quiet and calm and relaxing in the salon, the salon was very clean and everyone we encountered was very nice and welcoming which made my daughter enjoy the experience that much more. A man in a dirty stained T-shirt did my pedicure was the worst job ever and could tell they were just hurrying along to get the next person's money. Been here a few times will not be returning. I am struggling to review this place. I booked an appointment for a pedicure to celebrate the first week back to school, and was willing to splurge a little for an extra fancy pedi. The person who took care of me did a lovely job - I am very happy with my pedicure. She took extra care to remove calluses and make sure I was happy with my polish. What I did not like, though, was the environment provided - especially considering the price of the service. Throughout my appointment there were two children running around, playing pretty loudly and one of them spilling water all over the place. It was pretty noisy and led to a less relaxing time spent at Hera Nails and Spa. I tipped my provider but absolutely think that an $85 pedicure (more with tip) should've been a bit more relaxing. I will be choosing a different place to treat myself in the future. read more
