Went here recently for a friends birthday and the service and food were great. Their drinks/drink selection was good -- friends tried the "pocket aces" which came with gummy bears. High prices, but you get what you pay for. Would recommend the Filet Mignon with truffle butter (as a steak enhancement). Also tried the Wild Mushrooms, Grilled Asparagus, Caesar Salad, and creamed potatoes. Dessert wise, would recommend the cheesecake and s'mores (which we thought would be too sweet, but was actually a nice treat after dinner). Double chocolate cake was good (but other desserts were better). Loved the animal shaped crackers with the steak tartare read more

I dined here on opening day and everything was fantastic. We got the seafood tower and shared a Tomahawk Steak, medium rare, cooked perfectly. Went for a second time with friends and we were closer to their last seating but the service was still excellent and the food was delicious. We'll be going again tonight for our Anniversary. 5/5 Stars. I can't believe all the bad reviews this place has, and most seem to be when they first opened. A 1 Star Review for failure to look up their dress code isn't a Review of the place or the food and should be ignored. read more

Went here back in February 2020 at my stay at Encore. The atmosphere is superb in here and very elegant. You are treated like royalty from the moment you sit down. I recommend a reservation. I ordered the filet mignon and it was terrific. I want to try the Kobe beef but man you will need a second mortgage to purchase. Kidding of course. We will be back here very soon. read more

Rare Steakhouse - Rare entrance - Steakhouses Near Me - Everett, Massachusetts

Rude on the New Year's Eve to our group of four. Will never return. We left and went to another place.

I came here for a Yelp event and it was an amazing experience. I was able to sample so many things on the menu and am here to share what my experience was like. Inside was very fancy, I would definitely dress up a little when coming! When my +1 and I were seated, the waiters brought cute mini chairs for our bags, they literally were mini chairs, not the usual hammock type ones. They gave us a wine and food menu, if you want to look at the dessert menu, ask for it now or you might be too full to plan for dessert later! We started off with oysters that were super fresh. Then we got a Dry Ages New York Strip. It was cook to perfection, crispy on the outside, textbook medium on the inside, I can't tell whether it was the knife or the steak but it cut like butter and melted in my mouth after a couple bites! The Bay of Fundy Salmon was a bit dry, but tasty. My +1 and I thought we'd get a Black Forest Basked Alaska Cake, assuming it was going to be a small dessert, as most high end restaurants tend to make them...but we were WRONG. It was hugggeeee and we got so much attention as they lit it! We barely had space for the Double Chocolate cake. We definitely packed alot of the food to go!! The steak here is as great as you'd expect, crispy and not dry, cooked to perfection. As for dessert, I highly recommend getting the Baked Alaska ONLY if you have 4+ people, as most of it ice cream and it literally is that big. We barely finished it with 4 people haha read more

Rare Steakhouse - Fillet Mignon - Steakhouses Near Me - Everett, Massachusetts

Weekend at the casino, Saturday night steakhouse it is! Rare lost a based on the rules of their location, yet I wouldn't have visited otherwise. I wasn't able to bring my 1yr old son into the restaurant, because it abuts the casino, so we had to do take out. Filet w/ shrimp scampi = excellent! Filet Oscar = insane! Crab was a HUGE piece! Loaded baked potato, crab Mac & cheese, and pistachio creme brûlée were all perfect, even though I was concerned about how everything would travel upstairs. Service was wonderful, as I received a direct phone call when the food was ready, and I credit the staff for moving flawlessly during this challenging time. You always hear people say a steak is "so tender, you can cut it with a spoon" or back of the knife, etc.. these steaks were probably that quality, as we cut them with plastic utensils, in the room over looking the boston harbor, but I would much rather have enjoyed it in the dining room. Not Rare's fault. read more

We are frequent guests at this restaurant since I am a black card holder at Encore and tonight was by far our best meal yet. Our waiter Steven was beyond outstanding. His service deserves 6 stars, if I could give it. He was so pleasant, we always had a drink in front of us. He was so attentive. I will always request him as our server going forward. We got the calamari appetizer to start that was on special. It was delicious. For our entrees we got the organic chicken breast and the special 12 oz sirloin they had. Along with a side of mashed potatoes we shared. It was Absolutely fantastic. Everything was cooked perfectly. We would love to see them add that 12oz steak back on the menu hopefully at some point. I would highly recommend this restaurant and again I made this review so management could know what an asset Steven is for them. We go to a lot of higher end restaurants and his service was way above what we've experienced elsewhere. Also the chefs on Sunday evening 6/27 deserve recognition because the food was also just cook flawlessly . We enjoyed our meals so much. Our favorite drink is the cucumber refresher, and those were also delicious so the bartender is fantastic too. We will certainly be back soon! read more

Food was great but the service was very slow. Also they should really stop advertising prime rib on Thursday nights. I have gone to eat 4 times on Thursday for prime rib and they have run out every single time - it's frustrating. Just stop saying Thursday is prime rib night if you're going to run out every time. it seems like a bait and switch technique at this point. I was there at 6 one time and they still ran out. Last visit the place was almost empty around 7pm yet they ran out of prime rib.I saw a lot of people leaving because of this. I also ended up getting a comped beer because it took 25 minutes to arrive. Most of my meal I had an empty glass in front of me. For the amount of money I spend to eat here, it's pretty sad I never get the food I want (I should know by now that the prime rib will always sell out because they want you to buy another steak that's more expensive). the food is very good but I have had it with this place. read more

I was going to write a detailed scathing review, of how the wait staff doesn't know from which side to serve, how the food was paired with God-awful sauces, how the staff had no clue of how to tend to the very basic inquiries, but, I thought "what's the use?" A place like that will self-destruct, and shortly read more

I read the yelp reviews before my visit but as usual, I had to judge for myself. I should've trusted my fellow yelpers. The pricing is high because it is inside a casino, so having said that, if you aren't a Wynn Rewards member with comps or promotional offers, choose ANY other steakhouse in the Boston area. Bread and butter was decent, oysters are fresh but not sweet, steak tartare was passable but the pickles aren't needed, crab cakes were definitely frozen and extremely disappointing as I've easily had better anywhere else. But the absolute worst part was the Tomahawk steak, medium rare. It was over-salted, slightly burnt, and left under the lamp way too long because by the time we got it, it was barely lukewarm. But even if I could look past all that, the quality of meat was not the least bit tender or juicy. I chewed on it for so long I thought about just giving up and spitting it back out, but I had manners so I swallowed the toughest piece of meat along with my pride. Really a 1* place, but decor is incredibly beautiful so I had to give credit for that. read more

Came in for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night. The server was amiable, however service was slow. Our first round of drinks came in after our appetizers were brought out. The atmosphere was beautiful and elegant, honestly the only reason I would return. I ordered a filet cooked medium, but it was brought out well done. The server quickly fixed this issue by bringing out another steak. The sides were ok, pretty standard for a steakhouse. For the price(approx $200/person) I would expect faster service and better quality food, but I guess you're paying to dine inside encore. read more

Made dinner reservations here for our anniversary while staying at the Encore. Staff members were great, kind and attentive. Our food did experience some delay around 30-40min but they do serve you bread and butter, so we didn't mind. We started with crab cakes and lobstah bisque, the crab cakes were the star of this whole meal. Delicate, meaty and creamy with the right amount of seasoning. It was some of the best forsure. Boyfriend got the kings cut prime rib that was a special that evening, it was MASSIVE. For $65 it was 1000% worth it, and be prepared because it's a lot of meat! We believe the delay was because of this prime rib, overall it needed a lot more seasoning for our taste. I got the broiled lobster, and although it was not bad, for the price it wasn't worth it per say. $120 for "2.5lbs" of lobster but that includes the weight of the shell, and comes with no sides just lobster. For that price I'd most definitely go somewhere else that specializes in lobster and go to town. Our waiter brought us some complimentary dessert at the end even though we were absolutely stuffed. We appreciated the sweet service and still ate it all! Overall it's a great occasion dinner, drinks were good and food was decent and service was great. Would come back for the prime rib special and crab cakes! read more

Last night spend my birthday there with family and daughter. Food were awesome, but the service were not professional. We ask the service to pack my leftover to go. He refuse to pack them for us, and gave 6 of us a to go boxes. I even ask them why everyone else on different table had their food pack to go but not us. He still refused to help us. I think just because we are Asian with kid. Not recommend it to bring Kids there. read more

Worth the price. Everything we ordered was delicious. Oysters (shucking could have been better but they were yummy especially the mignonette sauce) , wedge salad (enough to share), cheese steak bites - all to start. For mains we got prime rib special (huge portion), NY strip, the American Waygu (only regret is I wish I ordered med rare - not med), and a filet - all so delicious. For sides we shared potato purée (yum!), Mac and cheese (yum) and the bacon and corn (I'd probably get spinach or asparagus next time instead). We got the baked Alaska. Fun presentation but probably would try something different next. The show was worth it though! read more

I really wanted to love this place!! This is a review of how the food tastes- it's a high end steak house. It's gorgeous, beautiful, comfortable, and the bread is delicious. Porterhouse for two- $140- arrived strangely presented. I've been to many high high end steakhouses around the country, this was weird. Had a bunch of grilled vegetables on it, the steak was sliced but not entirely through in some places, but most of all, it was not hot. Cooked well, tender, but the steak was not hot. Temp was like it had sat for a good 15 minutes before someone brought it over. Mashed potatoes-they are puréed. They were NOT hot. Warm, again like they sat out for 10-15 minutes. Onion rings- delicious. These come out later, and were obviously fresh. Brussels Sprouts- Not hot, just warm. A little raw, they were not tender. Dessert menu stinks- no chocolate cake??? All of the above took a long time to get to our table, and it just wasn't great. Oh well- I won't be coming back. read more

Couple of low reviews - 1 star reviews have illustrated poor uses of the app. Wore sandals to a classy restaurant and couldn't get in? That's a 1 star review for you. Service was slow? Yes, the place has been open 2 weeks and everyone is figuring it out. Also, you don't spend top dollar for a fast food experience, go to the buffet maybe? The steak was great, the service impeccable, the wait time was slightly slow but understandable. I will say the sides were not the greatest which is important for a steak place. Mushrooms meh, lobster Mac-not good, asparagus nice, fries meh. Apps were mostly good, not impressed by the calamari but we liked the seafood tower and salads. Oh and the steaks, one bad experience temperature wise out of 6 - also try to get the Wagyu, it is called Rare for more than one reason... read more

Came here for the Ribeye Cap, which is a rare find on a menu. I came in about 45 minutes after dinner service began only to be told that they ran out already despite coming in less than an hour after they opened and on a Saturday night nonetheless! Their servers did not let the manager know I was not pleased so I went to offer my disappointment with the manager but he didn't care. He gave me the same excuse that's limited availability, But how? It's a Saturday night and only an hour after their opening with the restaurant less than 30% full at that point. The rest of the food was smothered with fancy sauce or garnish and was not high quality or lacked flavor. It's too bad this place is acting like a step child of a franchise that doesn't seem to care. read more

OK, if you read my reviews I am a steak snob.. from NYC, go to steak houses across USA. Last standard with consistency was Club A NYC.. Now just visited Encore - Rare Steakhouse, here is my report ordered a shrimp cocktail, asked for 4 shrimp- reg served w 3. Excellent - sauces good- 4.8 out of 5. Steak- Med Rare- Bone in Filet Mignon .. Love Bone In - not always available, nice to see. Was not listed except with surf & Turf - but they offer it as stand alone. Partner ordered grass feed same- not available. Overall solid - 4.0 .. Oh the bread is great, but the butter is to salty Ordered char'ed,( could have been more char'ed) med rare - Bone In Nice. I ordered AuGratin potato , asked for garlic - no on that, but it was excellent. 5.0. My partner order French fries at urging of waiter, she did not like them, 1.5. Flavor not there and a bit to fat in cut. I asked Sommelier and found a good Cab or 135.00. Flying B from Washington State... Different, nice. Ordered desert - Key Lime- wow- wayyy different - looks like a lime. Very good. Total was 382.00 plus tip. Good experience, service excellent. Overall this is a solid 4.1 Table lamps wireless cost 400.00 on Amazon. Steak knife best I EVER had from Japan. read more

We came here to celebrate my anniversary last night. I've eaten here many times and expect to have nice ambiance and good service with great food. We ordered seafood tower, great presentation and very fresh array of different seafoods. However, the very first cherry stone was rotten! It tasted rotten and smelled bad. I told the one of wait staff and the waiter came after 10 min so saying we only use the fresh seafood and gave us 2 cherry stones to compensate which was nice gesture but unnecessary. I didn't touch them after the foul taste in my mouth. We ordered Tomahawk steak and few side dishes. Any steakhouses in Boston would cook better than here. Sorry but I had better steaks at Fratelli restaurant. I don't think it was 40 oz either...food came out cold and tasted just sub par. We had to wait at least 30 mins to order a desert! At this point, our server was just too busy for us. I came here to celebrate my special night and genuinely regretted with the lack of attention from our server. Spending $700 including tip, I won't come back here to that kind of money for a dinner and receive no attention! read more

Rare at Encore Boston Harbor is one of my most favorite restaurants. That being one of the chief reasons why I chose to celebrate my birthday weekend at the resort. Tonight's experience was unfortunately extremely disappointing. I ordered an 8 oz filet mignon medium and it came out raw. I sent it back and asked if they could please cook it more. The server obliged and returned a few minutes later with my steak still too rare. At this point in the meal, the rest of my party was already done with their meals. Instead of waiting more, I kindly asked him to please take it off the bill. Another note, the assistant server never came over to refill our water glasses once, even after requesting him to do so. I understand they were busy, but the service and food during this experience were inexcusable. At no point did a manager come over to apologize for the meal until the end to discuss a discrepancy on the bill. Very disappointed tonight. read more

My wife and I visited this hotel as we were staying at the Encore in Boston and their service was impeccable. While this restaurant is gorgeous and the food delicious I was turned off by the waiter we had. While I understand there is a flow and a way the restaurant wants all the food ordered at one-time, the waiter was extremely rude when "enforcing" the ordering process. We had high expectations but everything was just mediocre. This place is so overrated. The whole experience was very transactional and underwhelming. We felt rushed(we specifically asked for the meal to be spread out and instead our whole meal was brought out very quickly.) It felt like a cafeteria vibe in that way. Waiter was disengaged the whole time and after the appetizers were served he just disappeared)There was hardly anyone in the restaurant this particular night.)The food was terrible. I honestly was shocked when the steaks were served. My steak looked shriveled and was over cooked. Burnt on the outside. Sides were not hot when they arrived at table. In fact everything was cold. Creamed spinach was pure liquid. The Drinks were not made well. The bread was the best part of the meal. We really wanted to like this place but were sorely disappointed especially when the meal was $700+ for two(no dessert) and we each ordered a couple of drinks, no bottle of wine. Its for sure a tourist trap where all that matters is volume. read more

I used to live in Vegas so i thought I'd check it out..I was happy paying for wagyu steak until they overcooked it! Asked for Medium Rare- got medium/medium well. Got a side of squash and it was undercooked, You can even see the middle is hard/ dark in the pic, wasn't really edible. Unfortunately Bartender did not keep asking if I wanted more wine, or even water ..bit of a hassle to have to ask or find the bartender every time I wanted another drink. I was patient but was really not checked back on at all until I ordered the Wagyu steak, then the bartender was a bit more attentive. That's not cool. Finally I asked to pay my bill because I was over it at that point, I didn't ask for comps or anything and didn't even complain about the overcooked wagyu but Paying the bill took about 30-40 minutes alone because they "gave my check away to another guest" so instead of asking me what I ordered they took a super long time trying to ask the bartender and figure out what was ordered..overall not great and i wouldn't return. Also i'm a chef so it was just sad to me. read more

Our meal, the ambience, and the service was amazing. We could easily see why this restaurant is rated the top steakhouse in the city. It deserves all the acclaim that it receives. Everything from A-Z about our experience was top notch. Of all things, though, the most memorable part of the evening was the way we were warmly welcomed and treated by the hostess. This place is opulent with a very strict dress code (I saw a sign that says men have to wear button down shirts) so it's a little extreme. They do a good job with safety precautions during COVID with spaced out tables. Since I am a healthcare worker I received 40% off, and I am very thankful that they offer that, but the bill was still extremely expensive for two people who only got 2 drinks each (mainly beers and one perfect old fashioned). The seafood tower was most definitely worth it and a good appetizer to split between two people. It came with really fresh oysters, a split lobster tail, huge shrimp cocktail, clams, tuna tartare, and some dry ice for a fancy display. The crab Mac and cheese was lackluster and tasted like regular Mac and cheese, still good but not worth $18 since the flavor wasn't there. Brussel sprouts were really good and flavorful but I think they are easy to cook if you just add sugary ingredients. I shared the tomahawk steak, which is more than enough for two people. It comes with 3 sauces which all tasted cheap- don't ruin the flavor of the steak with these. The steak itself was standard- I wish we got to see them cut the steak in front of us as we have been to other nice restaurants where they do that, but not sure if this is against Covid policy. Lastly we got the pistachio creme brulee for dessert, and I think it was a tad undercooked since some parts of it were kind of soupy. Overall though it was a nice place for a date night, but insanely expensive. read more

Amazing food and service. Shared the bone-in Wagyu from Japan, with my husband. Melt-in-your-mouth. Perfectly cooked. Also ordered a foie gras side. Taking off a star as it was my husband's birthday, which everyone there knew, and we spent $595 for two, and didn't get one single token of birthday acknowledgement. Every other high-end restaurant we've gone to has done SOMETHING. Like, for example: Two nice pieces of chocolates at the end. Two glasses of sparkling wine. A little chocolate "Happy Birthday" flag stick in dessert. His name written in chocolate with "Happy Birthday" on the plate. It's these little gestures that will keep guests coming back. Especially spending nearly $300 EACH! (Doesn't that make us a "high roller?" And I looked at some pictures people have taken of their food and I saw a "Happy Anniversary" candy sign stuck into a dessert. That's all the acknowlegement we needed. No more going to RARE for a special occasion. They did not make it special enough. read more
