I've visited this place a few times now. The portions are enormous and always delicious. However, it's a cash-only establishment, which can be inconvenient for many people. Fortunately, they have an ATM if you're comfortable using a third-party ATM. The restaurant has a spacious layout, which can get quite noisy during busy time. Despite this, the food is worth the wait. The staff is consistently friendly, but the service could be improved. I wish there was a more convenient payment option, so you wouldn't have to wait for a server when you're ready to go.

**CASH ONLY!!** (there is an ATM at the front door however!) It's been a while since I've been back and I must say that this place if anything, is super consistent! (Including it being cash only). The decor and layout is exactly the same when I came here 8 years ago! The food here is just as I remember it. Here are the items ordered as of 6/2025: - Lobster Roll - $37.99 - When I came here 8 years ago it was $28.99 which if you ask me is an absolute steal value wise when compared to food prices at other restaurants! Still a half pound of delicious succulent lobster. Just as good as I remember! - Fried combo - $32.99 - A generous heaping amount of fried seafood! One thing I wish they would do is double the amount of coleslaw and tartar sauce they gave you as it's just as small as I remember (although you can request for more tartar sauce). The seafood is battered and fried perfectly. The fries and onion rings, while crispy, are just as bland as before and needs a helping hand of ketchup and salt. - Pina Colada - $10.99 - Very refreshing but wish the size was larger for the price. - Clam Chowder (bowl) - $10.99 - Good flavor and not too creamy. A staple at any seafood establishment. Good but nothing mind blowing. We were able to grab a table outside which has a fantastic view of the boats and the water. However, if you're hoping for a calm, serene experience be warned that the airport sounds like it's right next door to you so you WILL hear the jet's taking off and landing. However if you're an aviation fan then this will be a huge bonus for you as you'll be able to see planes come and go! Highly recommended for seafood lovers out there that can make the trek out here!

Whenever I have guests visiting from out of town, Belle Isle Seafood is my go-to spot for the best lobster in the area. There's nothing better than sitting outside by the marina on a warm day, soaking in the waterfront views. If you're looking for a perfect sunset dinner with drinks and great company, this is the place to be. The staff here is fantastic--quick, friendly, and always happy to help. I've brought friends who had never tried this kind of seafood before, and the waiters were amazing at guiding them through the menu and helping them find the perfect dish. My dad, who worked in the seafood industry for years, has had his fair share of clam chowder and lobster, and even he swears this is the best he's ever had! We've tried almost everything--the clam chowder, warm and cold lobster rolls, calamari, chicken plate, rice pilaf, and coleslaw--and it's all delicious. Pro tip: skip the fries and go for the rice pilaf or coleslaw instead. They're that good. I love the coleslaw so much that I sometimes stop by just to grab a tub to keep in my fridge! A few things to keep in mind: it's cash only, and if you're dining outside, watch out for the seagulls--they're bold and might try to steal your food!

The lobster rolls are huge and so fresh and yummy. It's also huge! I shared with my boyfriend and we also split the clam chowder. The bread on the roll was a bit burnt but other than that it would've been perfect. The clam chowder was thick and had a bunch of clams in it but I thought it could use a little bit more salt. The workers were really nice and the inside was very spacious and there was no wait for us. It was a bit far of a bus ride but I would do it again for their lobster rolls.

Lobster roll was one of the most filled that we tried in this trip, very good. Only bread came out a little too burnt for me, and the taste was too bitter. Fried fish was very good, succulent. Clam chowder was good.

Lmao sitting outside u might get a seagull waiting for food to drop

Food was AMAZING one of the best fried seafood i've had ... everything was fried to perfection not oily OHHH & the crab cakes was FILLED with crabmeat. Seating outside is beautiful watch the planes land and leave the airport the boats come in and out with a great breeze. Service was good; BUT its a cash only place !!!

My only food requirement while visiting Massachusetts was to have one of their delicious lobster rolls. After some research we landed on Belle Isle Seafood since we were staying in the area. Nestled right on the water, Belle Isle Seafood is perfect for dining outside where you can spot all of the planes coming to and fro from the nearby airport. Or you can opt for inside dining as we did since it was kinda chilly outside during our visit. Our waitress was really helpful with assisting us on our dinner options and gave us the perfect information given the portion of the food. We settled on the shrimp platter and a lobster roll with an additional plain roll since we were informed there was a ton of meat in the lobster roll. The lobster roll was HUGE and just what we were looking for. However, we found all the food to be lacking in seasoning. We weren't sure if it was because we live in MD and tend to like our seafood sprinkled in Old Bay, but we felt even the french fries and onion rings would've been better with some added salt once out of the fryer. Same goes for the clam chowder, it was good but needed some additional seasoning. I know they're all about letting the flavor of the seafood shine, but we felt even the lobster meat was kinda lacking in flavor and after a while it just had a chew to it. Overall we enjoyed our time at Belle Isle Seafood and the portions were good, however, just a touch of seasoning to finish the food would've made a world of difference in our visit.

We were craving some fried seafood like crazy and finally decided to try Belle Isle. It absolutely did not disappoint! We went around 7pm on a saturday and waited for about 30 minutes. The beautiful water and city views make the wait go by quickly! We started with some drinks and their prices are very reasonable for cocktails, beer, and wine. We ordered the fried scallops dinner and the crab cake dinner. The fishermans platters and lobster rolls that kept coming out looked so delicious while we waited. The wait for our food was quite long but it was so worth it. My friend scallops were big, crispy, and percect, and my fiance loved his crab cakes. I had so many scallops that I shared several during dinner AND took a few home too. The prices might seem high at first glance, but for fresh seafood and big portions you cannot go wrong. Dont listen to the haters, try Belle Isle!!

Best seafood around ! Clams fish scallops are all top notch ! Oil is always super clean Portions are huge ! Prices are great ! Staff is friendly and attentive Only gripe is the clam chowder is watery! I like a creamy chowder It's worth the ride from anywhere ? You won't be disappointed! Right on the water with beautiful views of the ocean I travel over an hour frequently for this spot !

$$, maybe 5 years ago. A plate of onion rings and belly clams, water, $ 37, shared. I know everything is sky high so bring plenty of cash, don't take credit cards. View of planes taking off from Logan pretty cool.

Picturesque restaurant right on the water with friendly staff. Lobster sandwiches come with a generous portion of fresh-tasting meat. Just wish they had the option of serving it warmed up. Instead, you can get warmed butter on the side. Overall, decent experience here!

Wonderful experience on the inner coastal of Boston seaport. Right across the water from Logan airport. Great fresh seafood with really nice portions. Perfectly fried with hand cut fries. Wonder view!!! TVa for the sports fans.

For a little restaurant on a quiet street corner in Winthrop, you'd never expect the vibrant atmosphere just beyond the front door. Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in the Greater Boston Area, but owner Lisa, her family, and her staff have succeeded in making Vuolo's a destination restaurant. You better bring an appetite because their menu demands nothing less. I could fill up on just the crusty bread and roasted garlic oil alone. My top two appetizers are probably the tender meatballs and perfectly crispy mozzarella fritti. If you need some greens, the Caesar salad is perfect for sharing. As for entrees, it's usually a toss-up between the chicken parm and gnocchetti, unless it's October, when I only have eyes for the divine pumpkin ravioli. (That is a reminder to always review their monthly and Monday/Tuesday specials.) While all of their desserts are amazing, the crème brûlée and tiramisu are standouts. For those that imbibe, Vuolo's array of cocktails will truly blow your hair back. Beverage Director Joe is a wizard that knows how to satisfy any palate. Not only do they nail all the classics, but their inventive cocktail creations are not to be missed. Their creamy martinis (espresso, pistachio, and pumpkin in the fall) are the best I've had anywhere. I also really love Ol' Buddy Ol' Pal, their version of an old fashioned. In both taste and presentation, Vuolo's cocktails give any popular cocktail bar in the city a run for its money. The caliber of dining and food options in Winthrop has improved in recent years, and I would say that Vuolo's was the one to kickstart that movement. Needless to say, I feel just a tad spoiled having them so close to home. Nothing beats a satisfying meal in a cozy environment with some of the friendliest customer service around. Whether I'm planning a birthday outing or just want a casual weekday dinner, Vuolo's is always a top contender.

If you stick with the seafood, you're going to have a great meal. That said, keep in mind it is a seafood restaurant. They have chicken wings on the menu, we figured we'd get them to share until the food came out.. They were honestly terrible. The order we received came with six extremely small, overcooked pieces that were so dry and tough looking they weren't even edible. Just looking at them we didn't bother as they weren't at all appetizing. I'm not sure if it was a bad day, a supply issue, or something else entirely, but they were a complete miss. Speaking of, service can be hit or miss as well. This past weekend, we had a wonderful server who was friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. The visit before that, however, was the exact opposite. Our server--who seemed to be either a manager or assistant manager--spent nearly all of his time chatting up a table of women, clearly trying to get phone numbers. Trying to get his attention for anything felt like a major inconvenience. What motivated me to write this today is that not only was the service good on our latest visit, but we also tried the fried seafood instead of the usual seafood boil--and it was absolutely excellent, and not at all expensive. Both the fried shrimp plate and the fried clam plate were outstanding. If you haven't tried their fried options, or not in the mood to put on gloves and dig into a seafood boil, don't sleep on their fried seafood. It was surprisingly impressive. Overall: great seafood, inconsistent service, avoid the wings entirely, and definitely give the fried dishes a try.
