PLEASE NOTE: the burger didn't come this way The bread was stale so I peeled off layers. I was out with my husband who is an anti send your food back person. I likely would've sent it back otherwise. So, a few things... I've only had seafood here, which has always been wonderful! The burger however was DRY, and had no flavor. We also ordered onion rings - wouldn't order again. Our waitress was super nice, and if you enjoy watching the planes, and being by the water ~ perfect atmosphere!

I've visited this place a few times now. The portions are enormous and always delicious. However, it's a cash-only establishment, which can be inconvenient for many people. Fortunately, they have an ATM if you're comfortable using a third-party ATM. The restaurant has a spacious layout, which can get quite noisy during busy time. Despite this, the food is worth the wait. The staff is consistently friendly, but the service could be improved. I wish there was a more convenient payment option, so you wouldn't have to wait for a server when you're ready to go.

very cute place right on the water. a decent amount of seating available outside. the food was good. went with my family and 2 out of the 5 don't eat seafood, so it was the chicken finger dinner which was ok, but for the price you only get 5 small tenders which was disappointing. everything else was good, service was fine!

Fried Combo Platter (Mkt price) - $32.99 as of 6/2025

**CASH ONLY!!** (there is an ATM at the front door however!) It's been a while since I've been back and I must say that this place if anything, is super consistent! (Including it being cash only). The decor and layout is exactly the same when I came here 8 years ago! The food here is just as I remember it. Here are the items ordered as of 6/2025: - Lobster Roll - $37.99 - When I came here 8 years ago it was $28.99 which if you ask me is an absolute steal value wise when compared to food prices at other restaurants! Still a half pound of delicious succulent lobster. Just as good as I remember! - Fried combo - $32.99 - A generous heaping amount of fried seafood! One thing I wish they would do is double the amount of coleslaw and tartar sauce they gave you as it's just as small as I remember (although you can request for more tartar sauce). The seafood is battered and fried perfectly. The fries and onion rings, while crispy, are just as bland as before and needs a helping hand of ketchup and salt. - Pina Colada - $10.99 - Very refreshing but wish the size was larger for the price. - Clam Chowder (bowl) - $10.99 - Good flavor and not too creamy. A staple at any seafood establishment. Good but nothing mind blowing. We were able to grab a table outside which has a fantastic view of the boats and the water. However, if you're hoping for a calm, serene experience be warned that the airport sounds like it's right next door to you so you WILL hear the jet's taking off and landing. However if you're an aviation fan then this will be a huge bonus for you as you'll be able to see planes come and go! Highly recommended for seafood lovers out there that can make the trek out here!

Whenever I have guests visiting from out of town, Belle Isle Seafood is my go-to spot for the best lobster in the area. There's nothing better than sitting outside by the marina on a warm day, soaking in the waterfront views. If you're looking for a perfect sunset dinner with drinks and great company, this is the place to be. The staff here is fantastic--quick, friendly, and always happy to help. I've brought friends who had never tried this kind of seafood before, and the waiters were amazing at guiding them through the menu and helping them find the perfect dish. My dad, who worked in the seafood industry for years, has had his fair share of clam chowder and lobster, and even he swears this is the best he's ever had! We've tried almost everything--the clam chowder, warm and cold lobster rolls, calamari, chicken plate, rice pilaf, and coleslaw--and it's all delicious. Pro tip: skip the fries and go for the rice pilaf or coleslaw instead. They're that good. I love the coleslaw so much that I sometimes stop by just to grab a tub to keep in my fridge! A few things to keep in mind: it's cash only, and if you're dining outside, watch out for the seagulls--they're bold and might try to steal your food!

The lobster rolls are huge and so fresh and yummy. It's also huge! I shared with my boyfriend and we also split the clam chowder. The bread on the roll was a bit burnt but other than that it would've been perfect. The clam chowder was thick and had a bunch of clams in it but I thought it could use a little bit more salt. The workers were really nice and the inside was very spacious and there was no wait for us. It was a bit far of a bus ride but I would do it again for their lobster rolls.

Why is my swordfish this colour on its exterior. And smells rancid!!
    Katrina P.

I recently moved here a few months ago and have been told by all of my coworkers how AMAZING the seafood is here. I'm home and decided to finally try it. I ordered the fresh swordfish as it's one of my favourite seafood dishes. Had it delivered, it did come quickly. But OMG the smell was horrendous, I could smell it before I picked up the bag, delivery driver was still walking back to their car, so it's not like it was sitting. This fish smelled liked bazillion day old canned tuna even before I picked up the bag!!! This not only smells horrible, but if it is swordfish it's the thinnest ever. Most of the swordfish I order is at least 1-1.5 inches thick. I measured this one and it's not even 0.5 inches thick. I ordered grilled, it came with a very light breading on it. I did try a few bites, and it tasted as fishy as it smells. I also did measure the thickness of the fish filet, which came out to 1cm even, which if my math is correct is equivalent to 0.39 inches. This restaurant gets an F in quality, flavour and freshness. They do get an A for fast delivery, but that may be more Uber One than the restaurant.

I was in need of fried scallops. In January , many New England seafood spots close for winter season, so Belle Isle was my choice as open year round. I enjoyed their lobster rolls in the summer months. Ordered the scallop plate, a cup chowder, a draft ipa. Nice mellow views of the harbor on a frigid cold lunch time day. Scallop plate I thought needed more scallops, but I always want more. Scallops were fresh and did the job for me. Onion rings excellent, fries good but too many ... few less, and few more onion rings . The cole slaw I needed more as this was exactly the type slaw I like... Moist, creamy , cold, and sweet moist... perfect slaw. The ipa was 16 oz draft and cold as and delivered. The cup clam chowder was full of ingredients, potatoes... nice hot, creamy ... 6.99 for cup was 1-2 bucks steep for size... 4.99 would be fair . All in all ... fresh and cooked fresh and hot A great meal 4-5 stars... 5 if here was a couple more scallops for the 28.99 or 4.99 or 5.99 for the cup chowder vs 6.99... Good year round seafood and large eat in area .

Lobster roll was one of the most filled that we tried in this trip, very good. Only bread came out a little too burnt for me, and the taste was too bitter. Fried fish was very good, succulent. Clam chowder was good.

Lmao sitting outside u might get a seagull waiting for food to drop
    Ari G.

Food was AMAZING one of the best fried seafood i've had ... everything was fried to perfection not oily OHHH & the crab cakes was FILLED with crabmeat. Seating outside is beautiful watch the planes land and leave the airport the boats come in and out with a great breeze. Service was good; BUT its a cash only place !!!

I'm an actual customer who manipulated about not a bot from marketing purposes. That is all.... We originally came to Revere Beach for the food trucks... only to discover we'd timed it perfectly to miss them. ‍ Plan B was Drift, and I'm genuinely glad things worked out that way. We grabbed seats at the bar, where one of the bartenders took care of us. The service was outstanding--attentive without hovering, refills appeared before we realized we wanted them, and every request was met with a smile. We weren't exactly running up the bar tab (I think our group had one drink each), but we were treated like regulars. That's becoming a rare thing these days. The food was equally impressive. The salads were perfectly dressed, and the fish tacos were fresh and flavorful, though I would have loved just a little more acidity. A few dashes of Tabasco brought them exactly where I wanted them. Dessert deserves its own standing ovation. The olive oil and grapefruit creation was bright, unexpected, and absolutely delicious. But the undisputed star of the evening was the mushroom gnocchi. The truffle hits you hard at first, almost making you wonder if it's too much. Then, almost magically, the flavor evolves into something rich, earthy, and incredibly balanced. It's one of those dishes that keeps changing as you eat it--and by the last bite you're already wondering when you'll order it again. Funny how missing the food trucks ended up being the best part of the evening. Drift wasn't just a backup plan--it was the highlight of the night.

One half hour later, our waitress finally came to take our order after walking back and forth ignoring us for that 30 minutes. When our waitress took our orders, there was no apology for the long wait either. The food we ate was good, but not worth the wait. The portions were generous, and I couldn't finish mine. One sis ordered lobster roll with slaw, pickles and fries. She found it to be underwhelming, particularly the texture. I had the Dryft cheeseburger covered in caramelized onions and fries as a side. It was a big burger, well cooked, and I deconstructed it, to have less bun. The plentiful onions were a nice addition, and I liked the fries. The other sis ordered chicken under a brick, which was a fried boneless chicken breast under mashed potatoes, chicken jus, and brussels. She substituted asparagus for the brussels. Sis was highly satisfied with her whole meal and ate it all. Our host had a salad, but I didn't catch which one. It was large, not particularly noteworthy, and she didn't finish it either. The place was really noisy, which made conversation difficult. One other thing I noticed: all the female staff were wearing very short black skirts or shorts while the male staff members wore long black pants. I didn't inquire about a dress code or uniform, but it seemed sexist to me.

The portions are huge, the food is clearly made with care, and the restaurant has such a warm, cozy atmosphere. They also came with creamy mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and fresh bread, which made the whole meal feel like the ultimate comfort food feast. Everything was delicious. For a little restaurant on a quiet street corner in Winthrop, you'd never expect the vibrant atmosphere just beyond the front door. Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in the Greater Boston Area, but owner Lisa, her family, and her staff have succeeded in making Vuolo's a destination restaurant. You better bring an appetite because their menu demands nothing less. I could fill up on just the crusty bread and roasted garlic oil alone. My top two appetizers are probably the tender meatballs and perfectly crispy mozzarella fritti. If you need some greens, the Caesar salad is perfect for sharing. As for entrees, it's usually a toss-up between the chicken parm and gnocchetti, unless it's October, when I only have eyes for the divine pumpkin ravioli. (That is a reminder to always review their monthly and Monday/Tuesday specials.) While all of their desserts are amazing, the crème brûlée and tiramisu are standouts. For those that imbibe, Vuolo's array of cocktails will truly blow your hair back. Beverage Director Joe is a wizard that knows how to satisfy any palate. Not only do they nail all the classics, but their inventive cocktail creations are not to be missed. Their creamy martinis (espresso, pistachio, and pumpkin in the fall) are the best I've had anywhere. I also really love Ol' Buddy Ol' Pal, their version of an old fashioned. In both taste and presentation, Vuolo's cocktails give any popular cocktail bar in the city a run for its money. The caliber of dining and food options in Winthrop has improved in recent years, and I would say that Vuolo's was the one to kickstart that movement. Needless to say, I feel just a tad spoiled having them so close to home. Nothing beats a satisfying meal in a cozy environment with some of the friendliest customer service around. Whether I'm planning a birthday outing or just want a casual weekday dinner, Vuolo's is always a top contender.

If you stick with the seafood, you're going to have a great meal. That said, keep in mind it is a seafood restaurant. They have chicken wings on the menu, we figured we'd get them to share until the food came out.. They were honestly terrible. The order we received came with six extremely small, overcooked pieces that were so dry and tough looking they weren't even edible. Just looking at them we didn't bother as they weren't at all appetizing. I'm not sure if it was a bad day, a supply issue, or something else entirely, but they were a complete miss. Speaking of, service can be hit or miss as well. This past weekend, we had a wonderful server who was friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. The visit before that, however, was the exact opposite. Our server--who seemed to be either a manager or assistant manager--spent nearly all of his time chatting up a table of women, clearly trying to get phone numbers. Trying to get his attention for anything felt like a major inconvenience. What motivated me to write this today is that not only was the service good on our latest visit, but we also tried the fried seafood instead of the usual seafood boil--and it was absolutely excellent, and not at all expensive. Both the fried shrimp plate and the fried clam plate were outstanding. If you haven't tried their fried options, or not in the mood to put on gloves and dig into a seafood boil, don't sleep on their fried seafood. It was surprisingly impressive. Overall: great seafood, inconsistent service, avoid the wings entirely, and definitely give the fried dishes a try.
