    Steak tips 33.95
    Jay M.

I saw the phantom gourmet review and wanted to try the steak tips. Steak tips nice tender marinade flavors. I ordered med to medium rare... tips were a bit too rare for some . My mistake as should have ordered medium. Salad was fresh, great house made dressing . Good size portion of tips .

New Bridge is one of those places that when you go back to after a long time, it feels like home. It checks all the boxes! Great staff, service, food and drinks. It has been the same way since my first visit a long time ago. I got the combo platter. It was their steak tips, sausage and I debated myself for awhile but took the fries. The whole meal was fantastic as I always remember it being! This place is a quick ride over the Tobin. Stop by and enjoy!

This. Place. What you see is what you get. A home town bar and grill with locals galore. Since moving to RI, I don't get here often anymore but boy do I wish I could. The queer o meter is 10. Come as you are and don't worry about it. The other reviews give some slam to the staff and basic-ness of here, but frankly it's what I love about it. Waitresses are sometimes gruff but get the order right and out on the table asap. IMO they're allllll Boston to the core and I adore it. There's always a game on the tvs and locals at the bar. The bread hasn't changed in the 40+ years I've been going here (has it been that long?! Geez) or the food. The only things changed have been the prices (whoa) and the building. The food is consistent and delicious. I always get steak tips with salad, extra dressing and a side of fries. Once in awhile I get the combo of steak tips, country ribs and salad. But not often. My review is solidly based on the tips they offer. I've tried other folks' pork tips and turkey tips. Both yummy. They have their own marinate for the steak tips and house salad dressing. I kind of want to swan dive into both. Soooo good. The tips are always tender. 2 things though, 1. Unless you order the steak tips well done they are 99.9% of the time med. and 2. They aren't bbq saucy kind. My wish list: They would give a little of the marinate sauce on the tips before serving. Yeah that's about it really. Warning: not cheap. 3 of us went for the exact same thing (3 dinner orders of steak tips, side salad) and 1 order of Fries to share. 2 sodas plus tip total was $150. $50pp is steep so it's no longer a place to go weekly to, which we used to back in the day, but it's def a place to go when you want some great steak tips in a relaxed atmosphere. Cheers!

Looks like I need to update that review didn't mean to leave it on for so long, been back there a bunch of times since my mishap. Noticed today when I was posting a few pictures that I need to update my review. As always, the steak tips are the star! I've been frequent this location for more years than you would believe. Anyways, I went there today with my daughter and didn't even have to look at the menu. I knew exactly what I wanted. Our waitress/bartender Brianna came over without even looking at the menu. I ordered two orders of steak tips both with salads both salads on the side both steak tips medium rare and of course she asked you want the full order or the half order I said two full orders. Granted one is enough for two people, but I was there to have some beef. All set and done. I ordered the rolls extra rolls with reason. These rolls have not changed in years and years and years. They're always soft and perfect and then you have to put three cubes of butter in there. Here's a little hint from a local. Order an extra thing of salad dressing so you can pour it in the bowl and dip it like dipping, oil oh my God, this bread and butter dipped in the salad dressing is amazing. as for the steak tips by far, these are the best steak tips on the East Coast. In my opinion. This includes the size of the portion. It includes the marinade the way they actually barbecue and really barbecue the meat just fantastic. now even though we both got the steak and salad. I do want to mention that the country style ribs the sausage I mean all the tips everything is great. Thank you Brianna again for super great service.

    Massive Steak Fries!

Review from three years ago: Yes, they give mighty portions (as seen in my photo of the steak fries) but the service and taste are lacking in my opinion. My waitress had an attitude as if she was doing my a favor instead of her job even after I went out of my way in an attempt to cheer up thinking she may just be having a bad day. I ordered steak tips and rib combo with a baked potato. The steak tips were alright but I am used to a sauce, not just meat. Then the ribs were basically uneatable. It tasted as if someone over dry rubbed them or poured a whole container of pepper on them. I dare not send them back with my waitress for fear of what would come back next time. Also my baked potato was probably the best part yet they dont offer them loaded so simple potato as the highlight of my almost 60$ meal (two of us no alcohol with tip). Add on ATM fee for cash only, sorry but I will not be back. UPDATE: Three years later and the review didn't change other than better service and accepting card payments.

    Chicken parm with linguine

Steak tips ALL the way. If you ever need a good steak tip in Boston, New Bridge Cafe is your spot. I went with my family and we ordered so much off the menu-- everything sounded so good! I got the chicken parm with linguine. I love their red sauce and they definitely aren't skimping out on the chicken. Yowza! Look at the size of that thing. My dad got a sausage with salad and loved every bite of it. My mom got the chicken parm with a side salad made with their house dressing. I had a bite of her salad. Absolutely delicious. My sister got the chicken parm /eggplant parm combo and she says she liked the eggplant even more than the chicken parm! We got an order of streak fries for the table which is the large wedge fries with steak tips. I love how this place is timeless. Definitely gives off old school stomping grounds energy, and it's full of Boston memerobilia which you always love to see.

    Single Meatball
    Jim Y.

Ordered Steak Tips, Single Meatball and a side of Ziti. None were very good, all very bland, only ate a couple bites and threw away as a result. A decent portion. Didn't cook the tips medium well as | requested and they were very chewy. Probably wouldn't order from this restaurant again.

One of the best hidden gems in Chelsea. Always has the best steak tips and rice pilaf. Can never go wrong with their famous salad dressing. Killer drinks and overall a fun hometown bar atmosphere with friendly staff.

Omg the food here is phenomenal. The service is super friendly and welcoming . The vibe is friendly. The place is super clean including the bathrooms . Parking is either in their lot or on the street both for free . I will be back here .

I went to this place a couple of years ago and loved it ! Unfortunately it's not the same anymore. The steak tips didn't have the same smoky flavor ( didn't "separate/ turn " them enough like they used to ?) The salad had 2 slices of tomato, 1 slice of cucumber and 3 rings of red onion ... and a lot of iceberg lettuce ( which i love ... but mixed with some veggies-- if you want to call it a salad) I had steak tips and fish and unfortunately fish was also a disappointment: baked fillet was sitting a puddle of liquid with some bread crumbs on top with no seasoning whatsoever... i just used the salt shaker on the table. I get that everyone is trying to save a penny but i miss the old flavors.

They offer BBQ plates, sandwiches, wraps, chicken wings, chicken tenders, fried foods (fries, okra, pickles), and sides (mac n cheese, candied yams, garlic mashed potatoes, rice, collard greens, BBQ pit beans, potato salad, grilled vegetables, & potato salad). The pricing is moderate. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16.99 plus hospitality fee and tax) served with choice of side and pickles. Since I parked very close to the food stall, I sat in my vehicle (with flashers) for 5 minutes and quickly retrieved my order. The pulled pork sandwich was a good size with cole slaw, tender sweet BBQ pulled pork on a thick soft egg bun. The pulled pork was mostly lean meat, a bit dry, but it tasted just fine. The potato salad was pretty good, which had firm gold potatoes, chopped red onions, celery, egg, mustard, mayo, and seasonings and dill pickle chips on the side. I enjoyed my food in the vehicle before heading back home. I will have to try some of their other meats and sides on the next visit to Wade BBQ.

The philosophy here is simple: handmade pasta, fresh seafood, and the kind of lively trattoria energy that makes you feel like you wandered into something real rather than something staged for tourists. We walked into a small, intimate space that feels authentically old North End, with street level seating and a downstairs dining room that fills up fast on most nights. The energy when it gets loud and busy only adds to the warmth of the room, making the meal feel more fun rather than overwhelming. If you are looking for a quiet, candlelit dinner, timing your visit carefully or requesting a window table upstairs is worth doing. The vibe otherwise is bustling and inviting, the kind of place where the noise level actually enhances the experience. The pasta is where things really shine. The truffle mushroom ravioli is outstanding, the kind of dish that stays with you, and the lobster diavolo has real depth and kick to it. The seafood plate, loaded with scallops, shrimp, sea bass, salmon, lobster, and calamari over fettuccine alfredo, is a serious undertaking in the best possible way. The zucchini flowers are delicate and worth ordering if they are available. Bread comes to the table, and the drinks are solid. On the flip side, some of the simpler pasta dishes can feel under seasoned compared to the more composed plates, and the pricing reflects the neighborhood, so you are not walking out cheap. Service is generally warm and attentive, with a mix of staff that has that authentic Italian restaurant feel. The pacing moves at a good clip, sometimes a little fast, but the energy of the room makes it work. For a North End dinner that delivers on homemade pasta and fresh seafood without trying too hard to be anything other than what it is, Trattoria Il Panino is a solid pick. Reservations are a good idea.
