I live in the same parking lot this restaurant uses as a shortcut, and their staff regularly speed through a residential lot to get to work. Tonight, while I was waiting for a pedestrian to cross the street, I was aggressively honked at for not moving fast enough. The driver? The manager. What makes this worse is that I've called before to complain about their drivers speeding through here and creating a safety hazard, only to find out the person I was complaining to is part of the problem. That tells me this isn't a one-off mistake. It's a management and accountability issue. If a business can't take basic safety and professionalism seriously outside their doors, I have zero confidence in how they operate inside. Between the reckless driving, the dismissive attitude, and the low-quality, greasy food, there's no reason to choose this place over literally any other option. Do better. So happy I had time to go to this place to get the clam chowder and lobster roll. It was the freshest lobster roll I've ever had and it was STUFFED with so much lobster. Split it in half with my partner and it was still enough. Had the prefect amount of sauce which I believe was mayo based. Roll was soft like a pillow. Ordered it with onion rings which were good. The clam chowder was service in a huge bowl so happy we shared that as well. Tons of clam pieces and broth. Would order a side of bread next time to dip into the chowder. This place is AMAZING and I cant believe the rating isnt a 5 (but you cant please everyone). This place is always so fresh and tastes amazing. The way that they package their stuff is so considerate and thoughtful. They make sure nothing will spill. I have to say they put so much love in the food too! It would appear to be a typical "house of pizza" type sub shop and although they do have all of that stuff (very good), they also have huge portions of super fresh and really good dinner plates. Their menu is HUGE! (specials not on the menu but include stuff like lamb chops and fish dishes) Today I got the Steak Tips, Rice, mixed veggie and I paid a little extra for a baked sweet potato! She got a giant Cesar Salad with teriyaki grilled chicken, grilled onion and extra croutons! (comes with a pita bread) It was $44 for both meals. I hate sharing my spots in fear of them getting too busy but they have been so good for so long, they just deserve for people to know they are more than just a quick little sub shop. I walked in and ordered a specific salad for take out. It was a special order since I'm fussy about vegetables. I've been to Nick's before but not since last year sometime. This time it was later on in the evening. The staff were pleasant, the place looked clean. I waited about 15 minutes and brought it home. At home I opened it up and cut it in half. Half for tomorrow's lunch. I noticed there was hardly any iceberg lettuce in it! This is supposed to be a SALAD with Feta cheese and grilled chicken. Lettuce was on the bottom, feta, then cukes, and grilled chicken. Warm grilled chicken was not near the lettuce. I cut it up and started eating noticed a slimy texture and thought it was the FETA. The chicken was extremely chewy. I took it out. Figured I'd put it in my mini-chopper. Then I noticed it and nearly choked. Brown slimy lettuce. I stopped eating of course. This salad cost me $16.00 so I decided to call them and tell them it was not edible. The man said next time I call I'd get money off my order and hung up. I ended up tossing the whole salad away in DISGUST. I won't be going there any time soon. I'm guessing they were running out of that kind of lettuce and used the rotten kind thinking I wouldn't notice. read more

I have supported this local Revere, MA business since 2012. We have always considered this place as our families go to for takeout nights. It is pretty much a one stop for our family of five and the varying likes. We all know with humans comes preference. However, I must report that the quality of the food has gone way downhill. The pasta was overcooked, the chicken was tough, and the cheese was slapped on top in a stiff blob. The calzone seemed ok on the outside but somehow the steak had a burnt taste to it, and I have no idea how the cheese in the mozzarella sticks was as stiff as a child's string cheese stick at snack time. Ordered a pizza on a Monday the time u call is the price u pay. I called at 4:11. My pizza gets delivered ice cold and thin as a piece of paper. The box is thicker than the pizza smh. I call to complain about how it's ice cold and the owner tells me " what do you want me to do it's very hard to deliver a hot pizza I said I've never had a problem anywhere else" he proceeds to tell me to come pick up a new one. We ordered thru GrubHub and had our food delivered here in our hotel room and here's what we think: The wait time was just right, it took them almost 30min. to knock on our hotel door. The delivery guy was nice and does not look like he's in a hurry to get himself out of there. Clam chowder is the bomb!!! tastes so great and the serving was huge (for me). It's got enough clams to satisfy my cravings (especially now that i found out that Boston has plenty of seafood restaurants, and that means plenty of clam chowder). Hubby loved his tuna sandwich and finished the whole thing in less than 20min. Tonight I order 2 lobster rolls which I customarily do whenever I'm in Boston / Revere for work. Tonight was supposed to be a treat for a relative I'm traveling with, Well the food arrived and expecting to truly enjoy them, I tipped the driver to only open the cartons and find that both rolls were cold as were the fries and onion rings accompanying them. Now having worked in food and beverage I know not to return food to a kitchen. In any case I'm sadly disappointed as I routinely recommend Nick's to my colleagues as having such a great lobster roll. Now come on, you had to know that leaving the restaurant which is a mere 4 mins drive that the food was unreasonably cold. Won't be ordering from Nick's again. Spent $86 not including tip. read more

I was completely blown away by this place. This place is getting 5 stars because of the high food quality and excellent value. I figured this place was your typical Bill & Bob's or Kelly's Roast Beef knock off. Far from it my friends, while Nick's does serve your typical slice of pizza and roast beef sandwich it offers so much more. The staff here is young but friendly and helpful for the most part. They have a seating area that fits about 15 tables. If you eat in they deliver food to your table and clear it away without it being waiter service, because you order at the counter and they don't take orders from your table. They even have delicious garlic bread served with pasta dishes. On Wednesday nights they do half all their pasta dishes, including their Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese. Here is what I have tried: Garlic Bread - made on a sub roll, great for dipping in their pasta sauces Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese (Alfredo style) - Please ask for it with alfredo sauce, it is way better than their standard cheese sauce. The girl at the counter actually gave me the recommendation. The portion is big enough for 2 to share and there was generous amounts of lobster. Chicken Teriyaki sub (with cheese) - I get mine with cheese and a little bit of mayo. I would have preferred if the teriyaki sauce was a little thicker but otherwise it was great. Honey B.B.Q. Steak Tip sub (with cheese) - One of the best steak tip subs I've had in memory, the marinate was excellent. They even asked how I wanted the tips cooked. I don't think any sandwich shop has ever asked me that about my steak tip sub. Sweet Potato Fries - good but standard, needed salt. Mac 'n' Cheese (side order) - of the Velveeta variety, stick to getting it alfredo style. read more

Hate hate hate to be this person but I'm genuinely upset. I only ever order anywhere, go anywhere, and basically do anything by what I read for reviews. I thought this place was going to be my new go to. The food looked delicious in some of the pics, especially the Mac and cheese which I was super excited about. Instead I spent $6.00 on about twenty spiral noodles that were completely uncooked in legit cheese water. I also spent $3.00 on a "slice" of pizza but what I got was a slice the size of a chucke cheese little kids pizza party slice. Is this serious? $25.00 delivery because on top of it costs $2.50 delivery charge. I'm upset with you Nick's Bistro that with all the competition out there- you let food like this go out. Oh!!!!!
