My job got catered food from here by a representative for a medical facility. Everything was going well so far in terms of their fried ravioli and chicken Parmesan. Other than the pasta being over cooked, I had no complaints really. Until I scooped some salad onto my plate and had was a few bites it. To say the least, I was horrified to find a two inch long dead grasshopper on my plate. Need I say the lettuce was not properly cleaned. My stomach as well as my coworkers churned. My wife and I are in town from North Carolina. This place was recommended to us for lunch. We were greeted warmly and quickly. We ordered our lunch and both got Chicken dishes. Michael G's is an amazing spot for affordable classic Italian dishes, pizza, salad, sandwiches, and more. Its the perfect place to order take out, but when I visited, we dined in. They served really tasty bread to dip in olive oil and we ordered a greek salad which was full of good feta to start. My entree was the Chicken Piccata with Fusilli. There was a lot of good juicy chicken and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I will say the dish was a bit oily but overall super delicious. I recommend Michael G's for sure! read more

Same for you -- you never called me back! No call came up in my call list nor did I receive a voice mail message! My Caller ID had been turned off, so that was not accurate. He never mentioned Slice. He never mentioned the baking process -- yet another defensive claim for burnt cutlets! My photos show melted cheese and burnt cutlets. Why would you even plate it? Oh, because they need to be cooked and baked through!???! I was polite simply explaining my disappointment and did say I wanted a refund which is why I wanted you to call me. I thought you should know how the burnt cutlets were being defended to assist you and how your restaurant was being represented! You also win the award for a bad attitude. The only thing you did right was use Slice who resolved my $26 pasta with red peppers (eggplant was missing) + tax/tip. I immediately called the restaurant and the guy who answered told me that they have to be burnt to be sure they are cooked through! Total defensive move. I told him that golden brown is a good indicator, and probably best to just cook myself. ‍ I asked to have the owner call me. The guy was about to hang up without even taking my contact information. Upon hanging up, Slice texted me a feedback form. I expressed my dissatisfaction -- heck, that dish cost me $21.95 and I had included a tip! Slice was right on it. They contacted the restaurant and offered to refund me $19.95 for the chicken. So my dinner was pasta with red peppers -- it was also missing the roasted eggplant! Oh, and the owner never bothered to call me back! So be forewarned, they purposely burn their chicken cutlets. Slice saved the day, and I will never go there again. The owner never called me either. A Margherita and a plain cheese. Both pizza's had excellent dough. (I could tell time was put into it) However both were put together pretty shitty. I went out for a birthday pizzer with my wife and parents on Tuesday to Michael G's. First of all the staff couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. We also met Chuck who came over to complement my mustache(right back at ya bud). First pie was a sausage and black olive. The sausage has the right amount of fennel and wasn't dry at all. The crust was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Undercarriage was perfectly crisp as well with a touch of flop. Second pizza was a pepper and onion. It reminded me of childhood. It's what my parents always used to order when I was growing up. Perfect amount of toppings. The sauce isn't overpowering with spices. It tastes just like tomatoes. Another family birthday Thursday night of course everybody wants Michael G's. I usually pick my orders but I sent my son this time. He encountered an extremely rude women behind the counter with a very bad attitude. He came home and told me what was said to him and I was furious. I have NEVER BEEN TREATED ANYTHING BUT WONDERFUL so to hear this made me extremely sad. I called and asked for the manager and this person happens to answer the phone saying to be the manager "what's this about" right there is the attitude. I explained my situation which she denied. needless to say you have lost a very loyal customer who also refers friends and relatives to your restaurant. I went to get a salad after my workout. I ordered an antipasto salad and a side of buffalo grilled chicken since they did not make a buffalo grilled chicken salad. I asked if the chicken could be buffalo they said no problem. They charged me $17 as I'm sitting waiting for my order. The woman asked me what type of wrap do I want I informed her I did not order a wrap. I ordered a salad. She proceeds to tell me that it's gonna cost $4 more dollars they did not charge me correctly . I think almost $22 for three pieces of grilled chicken and a salad is ridiculous. on top of that the chicken wasn't even buffalo. They just threw buffalo in the bag and called it a day. The woman could see I was upset and I don't think she really gave a damn . I won't be back to the spot anytime soon. read more

I have eaten here 8 times and up until now the food was always great. April 2, 2024 I ordered Chicken Cacciatore and Chicken ziti brocolli alfredo. There was only 4 very small pieces of chicken in the cacciatore and the alfredo sauce was very clumpy and tasted terrible. So I called Michael G's. I told the person who answered my problem with the food and she told me that the chicken dishes come with 7 pieces of chicken. I asked to speak to the manager. A man came to the phone and I began to tell him about the issues with food. He stopped me and said that he is the owner and he personally made my food for this order and that the chicken was correct. Saw this place on the Phantom Gourmet and couldn't wait to try it. Stopped in with my husband for lunch. I was expecting casual and very casual it is. A glorified sub shop.
