Jr just cheese, Perfection!
Glenn C.

A return visit didn't disappoint 3 JR's. 1- 3Way 1- Sauce Cheese 1-Just Cheese All stacked, and beef perfection!

Burnt slices that had been sitting in a warmer after I asked for two out of the fresh one that had come out of the oven
Jaime L.

They don't listen!!! BURNT PIZZA and charge for food you don't ask for. Smile in your face and give you burnt slices when a fresh pie is what I asked for slices from. They argued with an elderly person with me as they called to complain over 2 slices. Not going back there....treat your customers with respect....we should receive food we pay far and request....no need to argue over slices but don't look in my face grabbing burnt slices to heat in oven so l eat burnt pizza that was sitting I'm a warmer over the fresh pie I asked slices from. The other slices only 2 should've been thrown away NOT GIVEN TO ME....how disrespectful....they are burnt!!!!!!!

Pitiful salad from Athas

2 salads , 1 garden and 1 Greek. $27.00 including tip. The size was pitiful. Did not even fill the container.

Food is insanely good. Roast beefs and the steak tip rice bowl are my co-go-to's. I recommend this place to everyone I meet on my job site.

Their breakfast, namely the eggs benedict is excellent, and the bloody mary's are fab. I think their soups stand out too- always ask about the soup du jour! "It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality" - i picked it because of this quote on the menu, and i forgot how much i used to love p!atd. i thought to myself, "i've heard this before somewhere..." i loved the bread & roasted garlic butter, however on a little cutting board it was difficult not to make a mess. i guess that's part of what makes it "kitchen table." it is the perfect, round sourdough loaf with the most delicious butter. the roasted chicken was prepared flawlessly. juicy and tender inside, and a perfect crispy skin, just wow. i absolutely loved the selection of spring vegetables, along with the sherry sauce; sautéed spinach, carrots, mushrooms, and onions. the mashed potatoes were perfect once i added extra salt, extra pepper & whipped it up with more of that garlic butter to my liking, however it was prepared great. i requested it without bacon butter, how it typically comes prepared, and the garlic butter is a great substitute. everything was impeccable. i travel to boston often just for food, because i find that the food in beverly, as a whole, is just not up to par, even with all of the marketing. kitchen table is different than any other restaurant in beverly, and now i don't have to travel so far to get the most delicious meals! i am honestly blown away by how amazing my meal was, and i highly recommend kitchen table to anyone in the north shore, and i'd even say it's completely worth going out of your way for. whether solo, a romantic or friend date, or with a small or large group, kitchen table is here to serve (one of the best meals you've had in a long time). there were some other ladies at the bar that were extremely hospitable and helpful as well, i didn't catch their names this time. i wanted to take some pictures at the end of my meal, at closing time when it had emptied out, and molly encouraged me to take all the pictures i needed. just fantastic service by all of the staff. i couldn't be happier with my first experience at kitchen table. here's to many more! ambiance: 4.9/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 service: 5/5 kitchen table: 5/5

We ordered buffalo wings, truffle fries and a Caesar salad, of which all were good. I liked that the buffalo wings weren't overly saucy and the truffle fries were nicely tossed and the Caesar salad had just enough dressing and the lettuce was very fresh. Seating was close but spaced enough! The lighting wasn't super bright and service was awesome. It was very much Halloween Decor and relived it. "Derek" our server was attentive, courteous, and pleasant . Not sure about parking, as I parked in an (All Day) parking garage close by, parking in Salem close to Halloween is hectic. However: food and services were awesome. This Tavern is located inside the Hawthorne Hotel.

Why I like the Hawthorne for lunch: 1. A lot of people walk by without knowing there is a restaurant inside so not as long of a wait 2. It's quaint and has good food (usually) 3. I enjoy telling my kids that people believe it's haunted 4. Great location next to the commons! What happened this time? 1. My husband ordered the french onion grilled cheese and added a piece of . Sounded great! It arrived with bread as hard as a rock. 2 tiny slivers of onion, an extremely small portion of cheese not even really melted like a grilled cheese should be and the added extra chicken was a chicken cutlet! My husband did speak up and the waitress was very kind. 2. I ordered the Bagon Blue burger with fig jam on the side. The goal was to share the two meals. My husband doesnt like fig but it's my thing! The burger came smothered in fig. They did pay for all our food and we just paid for drinks which was good customer service but my husband still walked away hungry as if we waited another half hour for food we would lose more time out in the streets having fun. It just wasn't the best visit.

Not sure how an American fare offers up sushi and Asian fusion items. Their sushi is NOT good. I'm Asian. I've eaten a lot of Asian food and Asian fusion food. Their bang bang cauliflower was super soggy that we sent it back. It didn't have any good flavor profiles to it. California roll wasn't the traditional California roll. It looked like everything was mashed up and rolled together. Shrimp tempura roll was mediocre at best. Nachos weren't anything special. The cheese stuck to the paper it was served on so we just stopped eating it due to that. Fish and chips looked great but the fish was disappointing. No flavor and they're good needed a lot of salt. The fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries were fried perfectly. Clam chowder was not good. Barely any clams in it but there's plenty of potatoes. Service was okay. We weren't checked on often enough, especially after food came out. Atmosphere is really nice but loud. Full bar in center of restaurant with sports on televisions. This restaurant is very overpriced for their lack of quality foods. I won't return and I do not recommend it.

I placed my order and went to the restroom and on my way back to my table I saw a dish that looked so good that I wanted to change my order. I spoke to the owner/mgr and asked if I could change my order and he said he would make it happen. I let my server know also and she said she had just served my side salad and did I still want it. I said I didn't as it didn't come with my new entree and it didn't go well with it anyway. She took it away and I didn't think much more about it. After my meal was finished the owner came over and told me it wasn't right to switch my order after the salad was served implying I had done something wrong. I tried to tell him that when I asked him about switching I didn't know the salad had been served but he wouldn't listen. If it was a problem I think they should have told me at the time instead of treating me like a bad customer. I again tried to explain that I didn't know the salad had been served when I asked to change my order but he basically called me a liar and said he would escort me out. Huh? That is how you treat a good customer? What a disappointment.
