Dined as part of a group. Seated at a high table without anywhere to put bags (ladies going to memoire after...) and the drinks came out maybe 10 minutes apart from each other despite us all ordering the same lychee martini. I was surprised! The servers to our table were great, but the same thing happened with the food. It's a HUGE place. Feels very like a grown up Cheesecake Factory. Apparently there was an adult baptism happening a few tables down too. They went to dinner after I suppose. I did really like the veggie sushi, surprisingly large portions too! And we added the rainbow which was delicious! They bring complimentary fried wonton chips, I think coated with togarashi and a little spicy dipping sauce. I was torn between Mystique and Fratelli, since I was staying at the hotel. I chose Mystique to begin. I was going to have a drink and an app. I sat at the bar and saw a yummy burger in front of the person next to me. I asked about it and he said that it was a $5 burger!!! Unheard of, what?! So... I had a nice mai tai, a tasty avocado salad, glass of red and a very delicious burger. It was a bit more cooked than I asked for but it was so good that I didn't mind. All and all, very satisfying. We had a reservation at Mystique and unfortunately the service really put a bad start to our night. Our server, Brian, took about 30 minutes just to come over and take our order. We were planning to start with burgers and then order more food for the table as the night went on. When we finally tried to order, he told us he needed to check if burgers were still available. What made the situation even more frustrating was that instead of immediately checking with the kitchen, we watched him go off to the side, talk with another employee who did not appear to be a chef, continue serving a few other tables, and then eventually return to tell us that there were no burgers available. At that point, between waiting so long just to order, the poor communication, and being told an item was already supposedly sold out so early in the evening, we decided there was no reason to continue staying and ordering more food. We came in expecting to start the night at Mystique, enjoy some food, and continue ordering throughout the evening, but Brian's service made us feel like our table was not a priority. For a restaurant inside Encore with the type of atmosphere and pricing Mystique has, the level of service should be significantly better. I have been here one other time before and our server was great that time! She was super attentive, very helpful, and made sure everyone was treated well which led to us to come back. Unfortunately Brian was not the person to help have that same experience and overall having one of the worst restaurant experience I have had in my life. The time it took to get to the restaurant along with the terrible service - our time was wasted. Overall, very disappointing experience. We split the following: Spicy Tuna Roll - basic and delicious Green Monster Roll - I believe this was a special. The wagyu gyoza was a significant disappointment - on par with frozen supermarket dumplings, essentially a vehicle for the sauces. Service was attentive and overall very good. Ambience was elaborate and relatively comfortable; however the thumpa-thumpa background music created a non-welcoming atmosphere; it was probably chosen to enhance customer turnover. Appetizers: Miso Black Cod - Good, but not the best I've had. Flavors were mild; nice, but not memorable. Salt & Pepper Calamari - Crispy, well-seasoned, and a solid portion. Spicy Salmon Rice Bites - Underwhelming; lacking flavor and the rice wasn't as crispy as it should be. I'd skip next time. Hamachi Usuzukuri - Refreshing yellowtail sashimi with ponzu and chilies, but the fish lacked richness and depth. Mains: Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye - Cooked beautifully, and the radish ponzu sauce paired perfectly. That said, about a quarter of the steak was untrimmed outer fat, making it inedible which feel like a waste for such a premium cut (and money) House Fried Rice - One of the surprise highlights. Flavorful, well textured, and paired nicely with the steak instead of the usual potato sides. TikTok Chicken - Essentially a pricey General Tso's. Fun name, but flavorwise, you can get it anywhere. Bottom line: Cute atmosphere and a few solid dishes, but with the competition in the area, Mystique won't be our top choice. The restaurant is gorgeous, is a part of the gorgeous Encore complex next to the resort and casino. The staff was super attentive and nice from the moment we stepped into it. The menu is extensive and the food was delicious. We had a special duck confit and some sushi rolls (over the rainbow) and they were very good. The whole cauliflower with aioli is amazing. The wine and sake were also great. The staff also came to sing Happy Birthday to our friend, which was a very nice touch. The duck was very reasonably priced, but the sushi is pretty pricey, although that seems to be the trend everywhere. Will definitely be back. read more

We have ordered a bunch to share for the group, and some were really good and some were not good. Started with Shishito peppers 2/5- even though they were peppers, it didn't have much flavor. How does that work.. Chicken wings 4/5- chickens were tender and the sauce that had was delicious! Spicy tuna roll 2/5- wasn't spicy at all. It was a bit bland. Tasted the same as the California roll. Korean BBQ NY Strips 4/5- this is where it was at! Tender, cook to the right tempt and great sweet and sour sauce to go with it. Salt and pepper calamari 4/5- it was crispy, cooked fine. Service here was very attentive. There were other big group and they were able to manage it with no issue. When we walked in the host gave us an option of sitting in the bar/lounge area or dining area. Definitely a different depending on your choice. The bar is loud with tvs and you can watch the chefs cook in an open kitchen so a very cool experience. We however opted for the dining area. We were brought to a large booth for just the two of us which was very nice and it overlooked the garden. Our server was so fast and extremely attentive. Our food came out extremely quickly and I was very impressed. Things tasted great. I would say that what we worded however had tons of salt. Not for someone with high blood pressure. But the taste was great for us! Cocktails are pricey but expected $20-$23. Tasted good but didn't blow me away for the price. Mediocre experience given the expectations I had for my first dining experience at the Encore. I was seated at a corner table in the back, right next to the kitchen entrance, though there was plenty of other space. I was too tired to complain, and famished having just flown in from the west coast. I ordered the calamari and cauliflower appetizers, then the poke for my entrée, and added a lo mein at the servers recommendation. The calamari ($30) and cauliflower ($18) were generous portions and tasted like I expected them to. The poke ($25) was small but delicious, probably the highlight of my meal. The disappointment was the lo mein ($29) - I left it untouched after a couple of nibbles. Service was indifferent, and the meal was pricey (well over $100), so Mystique only scores a three star for me. read more

My husband and I came here for a friend's birthday dinner (party of 8). At first we ordered a bunch of different plates for everyone at the table to share. Scallion pancakes were perfect and I loved that they came with two different dipping sauces. I've never had calamari that tasted like this calamari; so flavorful for something typically bland and I would definitely order it again. The chicken wings were presented on these large ceramic bowl things which looked very cool! The wings themselves were excellent; small and juicy which leads me to believe they were organic and not pumped full of hormones like most giant wings. The house fried rice is something I could not get enough of!! I practically ate a whole bowl to myself (good thing we ordered more than one for the table!). For my "entree," I ordered the spicy tuna maki. They were delicious. Tasted fresh and a reasonable portion size. This is the perfect kind of place to have in a casino. There was an event going on last night so it was a different type of vibe. Luckily we had reservations so we were able to be seated. Our waitress was lovely. Service was decent. It was sort of slow in a way but probably because there was an event going on. We had to wait a big for certain things before enjoying the delicious food. I highly recommend their chicken wings! Presentation is great. I also recommend their wagyu gyoza. It's not A5 wagyu but it's definitely a big difference compared to frozen ones haha. Overall a great experience. I thought the food was really tasty, despite my preconceptions of a casino restaurant. Honestly, the Baked Alaska dessert would be worth the 5 stars on its own. I think the restaurant also does a great job of accommodating large groups, which is hard to do in Greater Boston. The thing I didn't like about this restaurant was the service. Although food came out of a very reasonable timeframe, I felt the staff was particularly pushy when it came to upselling drinks - and seemed visibly upset when politely declining. It was a bit awkward. And while the food was good - it felt overpriced. Which, I guess is understandable when you're at a Casino - but still. That's my feelings. read more

Our server was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The way the food was served was a little odd because as soon as something is ready it's pushed to the table- they don't want plates sitting in the kitchen because they're meant to be eaten fresh and hot- but that meant everyone's food was staggered. That also meant that one of the dishes we ordered never came out, probably just due to it being a busy time and there were a lot of us, but they acknowledged their mistake and removed it from our bill.
