I had no idea that a small Randy's opened up here 3 years ago. It is very small, but has plenty to choose from. They even have little Mini's that cost under $1 each. The Butter Crumb Raised is also a must!

Pulled into Randy's just trying to grab one donut and get out. Spoiler alert: I left with a full box, zero dignity, and frosting on my steering wheel. These donuts are disrespectfully good. Like, audacity-level good. Fluffy. Warm. Seductive. I swear the glaze made eye contact with me. Randy, whoever you are I hope you're happy. I was doing fine. I meal-prepped. I had goals. Now I'm sitting in my car with jelly on my shirt, questioning everything. And I'm not even mad. You win. The staff? Too nice. The donuts? Too powerful. The self-control? Nonexistent. Catch me pulling up again like I didn't just spiral 24 hours ago.

It was my first time here, but it was my sister's second time. She raved about this place and said, "Let's go on the weekend to buy some," so we did. The inside of the place was super clean, and we were greeted by an employee. They had a great selection of donuts. My favorites are the cake donuts, so I made sure to pick one of each. I was also surprised that they had a matcha flavor! The donuts are not greasy and not overwhelmingly sweet. They are just right. I look forward to our next visit!

When I think of Randy's Donuts, the iconic gigantic donut atop the original location near LAX is what comes to mind. It's the "go to" location after landing in Los Angeles or as you're getting ready to leave the area. Initially, that was the only location to get some of their delicious donuts. However, in recent times, Randy's donuts has expanded their locations throughout Southern California. This particular location is in the city of Santa Ana. It's conveniently just off of the 55 freeway on 17th Street. Randy's donuts is in a small shopping center but is situated closer to the main road. There is plenty of parking as the lot is quite large. When we first arrived, we honestly thought that it was closed. Chairs were on top of tables and it looked pretty empty. We didn't see a lot of people inside, so we almost didn't go in. However, as we were looking through the window, we saw some people in the back. So, we walked in! As soon as we stepped inside, I was feeling a little disappointed. They didn't have a large selection in their display case. They said that they were pretty much fresh out because it was Father's Day. I was definitely taken aback because they were only 4 hours away from closing. I figured that they would have made more donuts, but we still chose a couple from what was left. We got an old fashioned glazed donut and a chocolate bar. They honestly didn't look too appealing. But, it was going to come down to the taste test! I took one bite out the glazed donut and surprisingly, it was pretty good. It melted in my mouth. It had the perfect amount of sugar, not making it too sweet It was actually quite light and fluffy. I had to take a second bite to make sure that I wasn't imagining this. It was really good! My husband had the chocolate bar donut. Again, it didn't look fresh and we really went sure of how it would taste. Just like the glazed donut, it was light and fluffy. It tasted like it was freshly made! The frosting on the donut was really good. It didn't crumble when we took a bite. Overall, I can say that Randy's Donuts lives up to its reputation of selling delicious donuts. I have been to the original location and the donuts are just as good as the ones that are served at the Santa Ana location. I would advise people to come early so that you have more to choose from. If we are passing through, I would definitely stop by to pick up a few more donuts.

Large variety of donuts, several types of flavors, types and even sizes! Goodness the blueberry icing was the best one out of the fous. The s'mores one was not overly sweet!

Just added this place as one of my go-to donuts spots after trying it out. Their donuts are light and airy with a slight chew. The butter crumb raised donut was my favorite.

    One job.

Gave this location another try. Friendly staffs. Came on a Sunday morning, the young gentleman was very welcoming. We grabbed a dozen of assorted donuts. Great was to start Football Sunday!

A mere 1.3 miles away, I find this eight year old coffee shop that has its name origins from the German word for bread. Evidently, they have a plethora of baked foods mainly consisting of flour, water and often yeast displayed in full display next to the counter. I asked one of the staff if the shop makes their own bread and she said a local artisan bakery supplies them. They look amazing and they even have gluten-free options! This is a family-owned business that provides a more than suitable area for working on your laptop with WiFi access, or simply enjoying your favorite hot or cold caffeinated beverage, oh, and I must mention that they have premium blends as well for the coffee aficionado! Spacious indoor area that doesn't feel cramped and the exposed ceiling vents, the jazzy beats that is playing at a perfect volume and plenty of potted plants give it a balanced chill industrial vibe. There are tables outside too that's perfect for early morning or late afternoon when it's not too hot. I ordered the Vanilla Latte hot and asked that they fill up my insulated mug instead of the cardboard cup. Even with the steady stream of patrons, I received my expertly prepared brew by their hirsute barista, who gave me "beard envy" (I can only sport a goatee) :D The crew are friendly, conversing with the regulars. I can tell they enjoy working here! I don't come to Orange very often but would definitely grab coffee here again if I'm in the area and would highly recommend this place. This place is doing something right and by mere observation, I can tell they will continue to do so for years to come! Kudos!

Wasn't worth the price in my opinion. The cafe itself is spacious, with plenty of seating both indoors and out on the patio. I also noticed several tables with conveniently placed outlets, making it a nice spot for studying or getting some work done. During my visit, there were quite a few people working on their laptops, so it seems to be a popular place to settle in for a while. As for the service, it wasn't particularly warm or welcoming. One of the baristas accidentally dropped something, creating a loud noise, and she was visibly frustrated and seemed like she didn't wanna be there which affected the overall atmosphere.

I ordered a Match Strawberry with no ice, but received a plain green drink with no strawberry flavor at all. When I asked about it, the staff gave me conflicting excuses, When I asked about it, the first staff member claimed the strawberry paste was already mixed in. When I brought it up again, the second staff member blamed the green color on my "no ice" request, even though other customers had drinks with clear pink strawberry layers. Ordering with no ice shouldn't make the strawberry ingredient completely disappear. And both of them looked pretty unfriendly too. Also that matcha drink was too sweet and ended up throwing it away. Given that this cafe charges premium prices compared to others, I expect much better and more honest customer service.

Unfortunately, this visit was one disappointment after another. We arrived at 8:30 a.m. hoping for a peaceful coffee-and-breakfast morning. Instead, we accidentally wandered into what felt like a Janis Joplin tribute concert. The music was blasting at nightclub volume--not exactly the relaxing start to the day we had in mind. But surprisingly... that wasn't even the worst part. The food was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and the potatoes were still raw--hard enough to remind me they were once part of the ground.. My husband ordered the French toast, which looked suspiciously like it took a quick detour from Trader Joe's frozen aisle before landing on our table. There's nothing wrong with frozen French toast... unless you're charging $14 and calling it brunch. Another friend ordered the granola with berries. After a few bites, he gave it a skeptical look, pushed the bowl away, and decided breakfast simply wasn't worth the gamble. The coffee was decent , but honestly wasn't worth fighting the neighbors for a parking spot!
