It was pretty late at night and there were only a few people in front of us so service was moving pretty quickly. I was feeling pretty simple, just like my mind, and decided to get me the Horchata ice cream flavor. Though my interaction with staff was limited, they were pleasant with the service. I use to love this place but now that Handel's is in town, I feel like they are the better deal. However if you live near this location, it's probably your ice cream location. No indoor area, you just order at the counter and partake outdoors as well. So great when the weather is nice! I do like the fact that they have a rewards program and offer specials during the week. You can also order a single scoop stead of their small listed which is 2 scoops. However, the last couple of times, their scoops are soo small for the price of $5.50. I honestly couldn't pick what I wanted I sat there for about twenty minutes or so. Luckily the nice lady working recommended some of the more popular desserts that people usually get. She was a sweetheart. I ended up going with the cookie dough in a cone. It was absolutely fantastic. Like seriously fantastic! Stopped in to shop at Whole Foods and saw the truck parked next to the parking lot. We first thought it was for a private party, but when we asked, it was open to the public. There were some good flavors available, but the one that caught my eye was the Oreo coffee. Really smooth and delicious something I would get again. This might be as good quality as Handel's but not exactly. Great presentation in a cup. The ones running the truck were very friendly not sure if they were the owners. I walked away happy and positive about this ice cream so if I'm in the neighborhood with Brusters around, I would definitely go back to try more flavors. read more

Sometimes writing a review for me that wasn't negative or positive, and just OK, can be the most difficult ones. The price was good, the service was good, the ice cream was OK, just OK. Interesting note the lid wouldn't fit on the ice cream container properly. We got an Oreo ice cream, they were generous with the Oreos, but I feel like they just opened up a pack of Oreos and stuck it on the ice cream. Which is something I could've done at home! As mentioned prior, the prices were good, with a lot of selection on the menu. I think it's just a quality of the ice cream if I have that point it down to why this was just satisfactory C experience. Family members suggested to give this Two stars, but to me, it was 2 1/2 stars so I rounded it up to three ! The best ice cream in Orange! They're always so quick to make our sundaes. I give them a 4 because every person who has ever helped us here always seems upset to see us. It is a busy location at night and we went at night, so maybe they were just over the rush. But we've always been during the day when it was slower and it was a similar situation. I love Bruster's Ice Cream! My kids always ask me to bring them here it's one of our favorites. I usually get the chocolate and peanut butter, and they just stick with plain chocolate. It's always a pretty good deal, and they're fast, which I love. It usually takes like 30 minutes at Baskin-Robbins (still good, just slooow ), but Bruster's always has us in and out. I go to the Bruster's in Orange and sometimes the one in Rancho Cucamonga, and both are super consistent clean, friendly, and always serving fresh-tasting ice cream. This is a second Bruster's branch I have been and it didn't disappoint me. This shop had plenty of parking space and four windows to serve. When we visited, there were two windows open but the staff was very nice and quick taking the orders. As always, various flavors of the ice creams that are made fresh on site daily whether it is sherbets or no sugar/fat free or non-dairy, fun toppings, and baked waffle cones are the highlight of this place. I tried coffee made with Oreo with snickers for topping this time and it was such a divine! They also have ice cream cakes and pies so I would check that out next time. They have a loyalty program so if you take advantage of that, you won't regret. One thing that is inconvenient is that they don't have tables and seats so you might have to eat it from your car. This location is located next door to Islands and has several designated parking spaces in a lot. The main ordering windows face Tustin Avenue. Like most Bruster's there is no indoor seating but there are several benches available around the building to sit and enjoy your ice cream. I decided to get a milkshake. Looking over their many flavor options I decided on raspberry chocolate truffle. I thought it was a bit on the pricey side (I got a medium sized) but the flavor was quite good and the texture perfect- not too thick or too thin. The only issue was the flavor I chose wasn't a good choice for a shake. At first I thought they did a good job of grinding up the chocolate truffle pieces that are in the ice cream so they could be easily sucked up through the straw. But as I finished, more than a dozen large chocolate chunks remained at the bottom of the cup, too large to fit in a straw. I tipped the cup so they'd slide directly into my mouth; no way I was going to waste them! So my advice is to pick an ice cream flavor with no pieces of anything within it if you decide to have a shake! read more
