Visited Panecito today! Only the cafe and pastry section was open sadly. Was unable to try their restaurant area because it closes early. It's a cute coffee shop but the flavors are lacking. My pastries weren't bad but they just weren't great either. My Peach Green Iced Tea wasn't bad but it had a syrup taste. So My rating is just going to be a 3/5. I don't think I would come back for the cafe area but I do want to try out the restaurant side someday. Ambiance is calm and peaceful in the evening. I also appreciated the great customer service. I don't understand why this place only has 3.5 stars. Went to Keoni and saw this place next door so hubby and I decided to try it out. We got the strawberry krunch concha and cinnamon roll concha. Omg!! Soooo delicious. The best conchas ever!! Quality bread and so amazing. Definitely better warm. Hubby was too fast and took a bite of the cinnamon roll before I could take a photo. Stopped by with my family to try some pastries, and I decided to order the strawberry matcha as well. They didn't have many concha flavors, but I'm sure they had ran out because we stopped by late maybe an hour and a half before closing. The Nutella concha was warm and really sweet, but still good. The cheesecake flan wasn't as sweet but was also enjoyable. The strawberry matcha, on the other hand, wasn't good. It didn't taste like matcha at all, all I could taste was strawberry syrup. I think it also had some kind of whipped cream on top, which tasted a little off to me. It was way too sweet to finish and just didn't taste balanced. I honestly felt like I was drinking straight strawberry syrup. Other than the strawberry matcha, we had a good experience overall. This was my first time visiting, and overall I had a great experience. The conchas were tasty. I originally planned to get only the Nutella-filled one, but the variety caught my attention, so I also picked up the strawberry, mazapán, and churro flavors. The lady who helped me was very friendly. The conchas had a nice texture. I was worried they might get hard by the next day, but the one I had with my coffee the following morning was still soft. My Panecito is such a cute little bakery that happened to be right next door to where we were having dinner, so I decided to pop in for a coffee and pastry. I ordered the Tres Leches and we also tried the cookie butter cheesecake. Both were decent, but the cheesecake was a bit too dense and rich for my taste. The real standout was the Abuelita Mocha...10/10. It had that classic Abuelita chocolate flavor without being overly sweet, which I loved. While I'd probably pass on the pastries next time, I would absolutely go back just for the mocha. read more

Stopped by to try their cafe de olla and it was pretty good more on the mild side. Also got the abuelita espresso, it was OK as well. Tried their strawberry crunch concha and I highly recommend eating this right away while it's warm. It lost some of the magic as it got colder. So have to agree a bit with the other reviews that the service is lacking - there must have been 5 people behind the counter and only one person was helping customers. I didn't order a drink so my order took less time but I still had to wait for the lady's order in front of me which took way too long. ON a good note though the staff was friendly and nice but just very slow. I think it's the drinks for some reason but even if you're not ordering one you have to wait for the ones in front of you. I do have to say the pumpkin concha was really good - fresh and flavorful if a tad bit on the pricey side. I guess on par with gourmet donuts though so not that bad but I only tried one cuz of the price. i Nice location with lots of parking and it is a cute place inside. I walked in and told them I wanted a vanilla and strawberry concha. The staff member acknowledged my order, retrieved my order, placed it in their respective to-go bags, and gave it to me. The concha was not super dry and had plenty of the topping and it actually had a good taste of matcha! not too strong and not too faint with the flavor. This location just opened and I love their service compared to the placentia location. They were still learning and trying to get things down, you could tell. But the girl at the cash register taking our orders was very sweet and attentive. She gave us some bags of goodies on the house perhaps because we were waiting a bit for the three drinks we ordered. Seemed to take the same amount of time as any other mom and pop coffee shop so we weren't too worried about the wait time. We got the cinnamon roll concha, Oreo, and churro. All delicious and warm! We got three horchata matchas. We've had their drinks before from the placentia location so we have discovered what we like, and they made them so delicious. I believe the manager was there and he was helping get things stocked up and he was also checking in on anyone waiting. Very great service from him. The rating would be a 3.5/5 if it was possible to give that rating. This review is just my initial thoughts based on their opening. I arrived with my daughter at 6 A.M to a small group waiting with anticipation. The business was not open until 6:10 A.M. I consider myself an observant and saw this as a sign things were not going to be smooth. Especially because like people, a business that is opening it's doors for the first time should be punctual. The decor and set up were pleasing to the. The service was nice but my problem was the wait time. I ordered a Dubai concha, churro concha, a strawberry matcha and a mazapan expresso. Not even a minute after placing my order the lady who took my order came up to the table where we waited to ask for our drink order because "their system had gone down." This order was completed at 6:22 A.M. Five minutes after we got our conchas, I noticed the free conchas (first 1000 vanilla conchas were free) were given out inconsistently. My daughter and I were given 1 concha, where other groups some of which not every member ordered, were given the amount of conchas for their group. At 6:33 A.M we go the strawberry matcha. It was a business atmosphere and I understood there would be a delay. However by 6:50 A.M I had not received my mazapan expresso so I informed two employees about not receiving my drinks. The second employee told me their expresso machine was not working. This information should have been communicated to all the customers and employees. I asked for a cafe de olla frappe to replace my mazapandrink. I did not receive my drink until 7:05 A.M. The food and drinks were bomb, but the lack of communication from the employees with each other and the customers was disappointing. I was not the only one visibly upset. Again these are my initial thoughts and don't want to be too harsh. I waited longer than usual to ask for my drink due to them being busy and wanting to be respectful. Overall I think this place will do well. Just need to iron out a few things and it will be a good 4 or 5 stars on Yelp. read more

We have been waiting very patiently for a long time for this shop to open. We went there tonight and had a great experience. The girl at the cashier asked for my name because she was practicing great customer service not because she thought I had an order. This is rare and much appreciated. We got two conchas: oreo and churro. The oreo one was incredible, my kids and I devoured it. The churro one was equally delicious and very fresh. The bread is soft and sweet but the topping is perfection. They also have a nice sitting area and bakery case full of beautiful cakes. I have a love hate relationship with this place. Their pastries are great. I appreciate the mini puerquitos and love their cinnamon rolls. I've tried to get their cinnamon rolls from here three times now. The first time, they didn't have any...it was like 8am. The second time I called they said 15 min, got to there about 15 min later and still had to wait 10 min. Third time....today....called twice, no answer. My husband called about 5 min later and they told him 15 min. About 5 min after that THEY CALLED HIM BACK and told him about 40 mins, which we appreciated. We waited the 40 mins before getting to the store, and when we got there, they said it was still 30 mins!!!!!!! WTH!?!?!?!? We called and you called us back with an incorrect time! I don't mind waiting, but to be told incorrect information was just not okay. Basically, they never know what they have ready and available. I stopped by panecito in the morning on 5/31/2026. I was very disappointed in the service! I was the only one in line and there was no cashier to help. I saw a few staff in the back who walked by the front and saw me standing there waiting for help. They made direct eye contact with me but didn't say a word! No someone will be with you in a minute! 3 people working there walked by and made eye contact with me but didn't say not say a word to me or did not come to help me! And 2 staff members female were standing there chatting it up with each other! Looked at me smiled to each other and kept talking to each other! That is when I walked out!! Unfortunately this place has some very entitled individuals working there who do not know customer service!!! Such a shame!! And to make it very clear.. Really yummy, soft, and warm conchas, decently priced for all the different toppings. However, the matcha is not the best. I'm not sure who the supplies it but I recommend the restaurant invests in a good ceremonial grade matcha powder because the pastel green won't do it in the long run. Matcha should be a vibrant, not milky, green. I can't see myself getting a matcha again, so I imagine a lot of other customers might not buy the matcha as well after trying it. Anyway, enough about matcha, the place is pretty small but there's decorations and tables, which are pretty big. I noticed a lot of people just take up the lobby after ordering, I bet it would be good to have some sort of intercom system and encourage costumers to wait outside instead of crowding the lobby.
