Just got off a small job and happened to pass by and seen a line leading on to the street. Wasn't sure if this location was awesome or these were their frequent customers but it gave me an incentive to give it a try. I went with her maple bar and old fashioned along with some milk. It came to 6.50. A bit steep but we all have to make a living. I never do old fashioned to be honest but it appeared to not be a doughy, so I gave it a try. Perfect customer service. I don't know of any other donut places that are open 24 hours a day, so this establishment perfectly fills a niche I didn't even know existed. I tried a variety of donuts, each of which were very good. I personally couldn't differentiate between different types of donuts, but I know at the very least that no matter what you can't go wrong which is always good. I came here late at night, and it was such a vibe. The workers were extremely, extremely friendly, and I will definitely be coming back. read more

Why does this place always give u the donuts she wants! This has happened 3xs already in over months of time away. We show her which donuts we want & for some reason we open our box and the donuts we pointed out are not in there. I feel like the posts here are from family members or something.... i came here at 9 pm and the donut weren't fresh or anything special at all. What's worst is that i order half dozen of donut, each were different, instead of putting it in a box or seperate bags guess what? Yup! All in the same bag. This place offers a no-nonsense good donut, they usually have a wide variety and are always surprisingly fresh. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and will continue to make the drive to my old neighborhood donut shop. The only downside is they are cash only, so come prepared. read more

If you get there about 9:00pm they usually have a fresh batch coming out. Just found this place about a month ago and I'm probably worse than junkie (excuse the language but seriously I'm there about 2-3 times a week now) lol. They are also open 24hrs, but I'm telling you, that 9:00pm fresh batch is not joke. Donuts melt like butter when you bite into it. read more

If you're looking for an enjoyable place to have a cup of joe while eating a donut, do not come to this place. They have a small area to dine outside their little donut hut but the tables and chairs were covered with questionable and random items left behind from the homeless people that often hangout in the area as this place is located in the shadiest part in town. Which probably explains the prison bars that wrap the store front. And don't get me started with the service! None of the employees seem to care about the customers as they all had an attitude. When I attempted to pay with my card, one of the employees yelled, "CASH ONLY!!" I don't know about you but I don't enjoy getting yelled at, especially not from a business who is suppose to care for their customers. And who still only takes cash in 2018? They need to adopt the option to pay with debit/credit. But this is the last time I will spend a dime at this place. I only came here because the usual place I go to called the Luvn Donuts on MacArthur Blvd was closed and it was late and I needed my donut fix but never again from this place!! read more

The donuts are eh but, what I hate the most is all the Hispanic men sitting around hanging out for no good reason staring at you from head to toe. I don't care...I'm rude to them. The worst donut place ever. It's so disgusting knowing that they aren't clean. On there break I've seen them clipping there toe nails and scrubbing their feet which I found very disturbing. They don't seem to wash their hands everything just looks so nasty and unsanitary. it's so disgusting I don't recommend anyone going unless you want toe nails in your donuts. After getting a shitty response from the owner of a so-called donut shop in downtown Santa ana, but I won't say the name of this downtown donut shop ;) I wanted to give a fat true 5 Star shout out donut star. been going here for the last 5 years easy. The ladies that work there seem to always be there working very hard at any time of day or nite and as tired as they might be, they will alway go to the window a put on a smile. I use to live close by not too long ago, but thos donuts are fresh and delicouse at 3 am. Yes, it is in Santa Ana, but this area is clean and safe. If you want a chocolate bar to melt in your mouth with some \cold fresh milk or great coffee too, this is a good spot. Also the bomb crossants, tell em to heat it up for 20 seconds...Heaven after a night out! read more

I was extremely disappointed since that's why we came by. We decided to try other options. The strawberry donut looked amazing so we had to get it. The croinut was not what we expected and it was our first time trying one. Probably won't get it again. They threw in the donut holes which was very nice of them. Donuts tasted fresh and were very soft. The service was great and they were very friendly. 4 donuts came out to $10, so $2.50 for each donut which is pretty steep. We may go back if they bring back the ube.

I think the only problem is there's banana extrait or syrup at the bottom, and it makes it reeeeally sweet. I love my sweet matchas, but this was a bit much. However, I honestly think that after the ice melts and waters it down, it becomes a pretty above average balance of banana pudding, sweetness, and matcha. Really surprising for a donut shop in my opinion, and I'd recommend it! They have strawberry and cloud matchas too if you want to try those!

The shop was pretty clean, and they had a couple of tables for folks to sit at and enjoy their treats which is what I did. Purchased two donuts. One was my all-time favorite donut which is the Boston Creme donut. The other flavor I chose was their Orange donut since their shop is in Orange, CA after all. Their Orange donut has a nice citrusy flavor to it. Their Boston Creme donut was pretty good. Took a couple bites before I bit into any custard filling. Would have liked more filling inside it, but I still enjoyed the treat. I am not in the area too often. If I were, though, then I'd be a regular at Jax Donuts in Orange.
