Needed something to snack on so got a bagel here before I got to the hospital. They have some delicious and beautiful looking donuts. It's a small place but lots of choices. Easy parking really nice people working there. I enjoyed my crispy, delicious bagel with cream cheese even though I couldn't finish it all due to nerves I liked it a lot. Be careful when ordering the half dozen donuts. The menu lists it as $11, but at checkout I was charged $14.50 due to "extra charges" on certain donuts (e.g. Oreo donut +$2, others +$0.50). This was not mentioned when ordering or clearly indicated on the menu. If certain donuts cost extra, that should be communicated upfront. Otherwise, the advertised price is misleading. The owner can make you any custom donut!!! I ordered a happy bday set of donuts and they came out so pretty!!! The donuts were soft and delicious!!! The owner was very nice and understanding. I had to reschedule my pick up and she was nice about it and called me to ensure the right date! As far as Southern California donut shops go, this is not a standout. I stopped her on a whim as I had an early morning appointment down the street and it had been years since I had eaten a donut from one of these local iconic institutions. Walked in and was underwhelmed by the selection of donuts. Sure they had the classics: glazed, cruellers, cake, fritters, cinnamon rolls, eclairs, etc. but they offered no chocolate cake donuts, no croissants, no muffins, no breakfast sandwiches, no donut holes; basically it was a very sad selection. The woman behind the counter was not the friendliest and if you pay with by card they tack on a fee. I ended up walking out of there with one glazed donut and a bottle of milk and it came to $6.19 which I thought was very high. The glazed donut itself was very fresh and soft but extremely sweet, so sweet I couldn't finish the whole thing it was going to make me sick. They did have a very nice self serve coffee bar that runs along the backside of the store. All in all, above average but not great. If you are looking for a wide selection of donuts look elsewhere. read more

Been here a few times with my parents to get donuts and coffee. Pretty solid place. Sucks that a dozen is about $17. Inflation is hurting everyone right now but I'd rather support small businesses. Review is based on product, service was great, and on that note: 1. Got two apple fritters, first one had an "off" taste, oil was rancid . 2. Got two cronuts, hats and chewy, but not that donut chewiness just plastic chewiness. 3. Got there by 10 am all the donuts we got didn't look very fresh and definitely tasted at least one say old. Occasionally I get one dozen and half dozen donuts in the morning from this place as it is on my way to work. And super conveniently located next to the I5 Freeway. Donuts are always well made and delicious. I used to go to Sidecar Doughnut Shop when I lived in Costa Mesa and of course, you cannot compare the two as Sidecar is an artisan doughnut shop but if you want a good basic donut, this place is the place. They are good variety of donuts from Old Fashioned (they are several shapes and graze) to fluffy, chewy grazed donuts! The staff is here is very nice and courteous. The best donuts ! Omgggg You gotta go early because they are closed by like 1130am or so. I wanted coffee one morning and hubby saw they were actually open. So we went in and saw they had some donuts left. Not a big selection but they had what we wanted. We usually get our son a ham and cheese croissant but they only had one plain left. Awesome doughnuts. Dense and moist, but with beautiful flaky outsides. The eclairs, apple fritters and cinnamon-crusted were fan favorites. Like any other donut shop, you'll get a better selection if you're here before 10AM. Originally planned on picking up from Cream Pan - I saw the line and turned right back around.
