Randy's is a SoCal classic, now they've brought the good stuff to Downey. The iconic Donut is there to signal the way to some freshly made goodness. My go to is their mixed dozen. Try some of their off the norm flavors paired up with the classics. Line gets long, so if it's coming out the driveway it might take you 15-20 mins to be out of there. So worth the wait tho. Enjoy! read more

2nd time here. For a younger generation, they are very friendly. Good customer service in drive through. Donut holes glazed are huge and fresh. Love the ham and cheese croissant sandwich. read more

Since there are no Randy's Donuts locations in Orange County, we make it a point to pull up here whenever we are craving such delights. Parking can be found easily in their small lot, depending when you come through, but there is also street parking. Drive-thru here is a plus too. What do we like? The Nutella Raised, White Ganache Raised w/ Chocolate, Red Velvet Cake w/Ganache, and the Mint Raised. So fresh and delicious, pretty much every time we have ordered any of these from the Premium category. Then our second choices would be Blueberry Cake, Glazed Twist, Maple Long John and Cherry Iced Cake, from both the Classic and Deluxe categories. Is it worth a dozen? For us sometimes, but you really have to be craving that many or have folks to share with. One thing I can say, is to me, these donuts have a 2-3 day shelf life after the initial buy (just pop them in the micro for some seconds), so that is key when buying a dozen for just 2 people. Wish we had Randy's in Orange County (if you know of one, message me :D). read more

Great location, extremely well run with a wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful, extremely patient. Their selection is overwhelming, they were well stocked in endless flavors. Prices are beyond fair, the donuts were fresh and absolutely delicious! So glad to see Randy's expanding and opening up new locations all over LA! Highly recommended! read more

Went at about 10pm and took in consideration the donuts that where labeled as SOLD OUT but the ones that where not labeled where also sold out... interesting when they close at 2am. Then when asked what did they have he named them so fast and with a rude tone. So just left and took my business else where read more

No wonder they are so successful! Long history of constantly amazing doughnuts! The new store on Scottsdale Rd and Bell is amazing!!

I'm very upset I came in yesterday during lunch and the girl in the front with pink hair I believe her name was Natalie was so rude and not attentive and I felt she did not want to give me proper service also snatched the money out my hand with an attitude !! You shouldn't have people like that working at your establishment I can't believe it I never been served worse by any fast food . read more

Randy's donuts and cinnamon rolls are very good, but why did they stop making lemon filled donuts? I will have to curtail my coming for a donut splurge for awhile. read more

The donuts are delicious and always fresh. The cashiers are friendly, fast and always change into a new pair of gloves before handling/grabbing the donuts. Parking is easy and the donut shop looks clean. read more

It's a standard donut place. Outside of the landmark on top of the building, it's average. I'm partial to Krispy Kreme glazed donuts warm off the conveyor belt so if that's not your thing I would understand. We went in around 7pm Saturday evening, they had their AC on so it was a bit cold for us to stay so we brought a few and left. Can't say the atmosphere was comfortable. read more

This has been my go to donut shop ever since I found out about them... earlier this year and let me tell you... they're delicious! My favorites are: sugar krondy(like a cronut covered in powdered sugar), butter crumb is outstanding! The chocolate butter crumb was equally outstanding (but they took it off the menu!!??!!) My aunt has gotten a few donuts with icing and they have been way too sweet. Apple fritter is HUGE! totally worth it! Share it.. or don't, but definitely try it! Now, let me tell you about this lovely gal Paloma! She is the ONLY ONE, who makes my iced mocha, the way it should be! I always order one, with my sugar krondy. She's the best!!!! Thank you girl! read more

My first timing trying Randy's donuts yesterday and I am so happy that I did. Drive thru is open and with little wait. The menu is extensive (I never knew that there could be so many groupings of donuts lol). We got the maple raised, sugar raised, chocolate cake, blueberry cake donuts. I really wanted to try the matcha donut but it was sold out. We will have to come back to try it! Great, patient service here - especially considering it took me a while to figure out which donut I wanted lol! The actual donut is one of the best I've had. I love the texture of the dough - it is super fluffy! I only wish that the frosting didn't fall everywhere in the car and leave lasting evidence of our indulgence lol. read more

Not bad, my review for my visit on 5/18/20. I've been to the original many times since the early 1980's and always loved my donuts there. Today's visit to this location in Downey I had the hardest maple bacon bar ever. Friendly service. I came, I ordered and I left. read more

Super quick and fast. Order two donuts and a caramel frappe. Fire stone can get really busy at times so making that left turn into the side parking lot can be tough at times. My buttermilk bar was super dry and hard to chew. I am mediately sent it back and asked for another one. I heard another young girl in there say well they're all like that. She was right but Zhanette need to be so outspoken about it in front of customers. First time ever at this Randy's joint And I will not be coming back. I got my donut about 11:30 AM and I was not satisfied whatsoever read more

Leaving a late review but better late then never , want to say thank you to ABEL for his great customer service ! i have got food at different spots before at a late time and received bad service or just gives me the impression that they did not want to be there and this was not the case , randy helped us at almost 2 am I believe it was lol and made us a bomb ass coffee and just received a great vibe from him . read more

I come here for their breakfast sandwiches! Your choice of bun, bacon and/or sausage, American cheese, hash browns and egg. They are made to order so they take a couple minutes but I much prefer that because it's FRESH! They also have crazy donuts here. I am a classic donut person I like cake and old fashioned but they have every kind from classic to crazy with toppings! Their service is always 10/10 I love the staff here! I was in the drive thru and forgot my purse (yeah I'm pregnant and forget EVERYTHING) and they kept my order and even waited to make my sandwich til I came back so it was fresh :') read more

Gotta try the classics, right? Well, I've tried every doughnut on the menu, and these are my favorites in order: Nutella, Raised Glazed, Plain blueberry Lemon Old Fashioned And Honey Oat. I don't think there are any that I actively dislike, which is certainly something. I think it's pretty funny when you see a plain glazed, a texas raised, and one of those custom birthday donuts done plain. I wish that they would offer a blueberry cake doughnut iced with the lemon frosting, because that would be BOMB. But until then, I'd recommend getting both so that you can take a bite of each together.. You will see what I mean and thank me later. read more

After a nice savory meal I wanted some sweets! Where else would be better than the hyped "RANDYS DONUTS"!! Well spoiler alert I left a-little underwhelmed. Let me start by saying I went through the drive through and everything that could have went wrong did. The menu is a tv and inconveniently went out so I couldn't look through the menu. I had to wait about 5 mins in the drive through. Then when it finally came on I wanted the s'mores and matcha donut and the lady taking my order gave a lot of attitude and said they don't have those and they didn't have many donuts left!! If your open 24/7 I would hope u wouldn't run out of your main items. Besides that in getting the donuts I was let down as they were just AVERAGE donuts! Nothing special. Honestly the random donut shops near u are better!! The blueberry was whatever, glazed and chocolate barley average! But I have to give them credit the Nutella was bomb! A perfect silky tasty donut complete with that Nutella taste. Randy's is a normal donut shop if you go here do not expect it to be an AMAZING donut, the hype is overrated and the customer service is trash! read more

Never disappointed when we order donuts from here! My girlfriend loves this place. They're always so nice at the window

Sooo yummy and the prices aren't bad at all! Love this place definitely give them a try

Finally! Something better than Dunkin Donuts! I remember seeing the crazy lines driving past the new Downey location and decided to wait until the craziness died down. The young man who assisted me was excellent and suggested some of their more popular items. Love: The fresh doughy texture is wonderful! I went a little crazy and ordered waaay too many donuts my first time visiting. The raised donuts stayed chewy for a few days. Donuts from other shops start to get stale after so many hours, these didn't. The frosting did harden, but I was happy that I could still enjoy the donuts after 24 hours. My faves are their, raised Sprinkle, Nutella and their Chocolate Ganache. YUUUUMMMM!! I ordered two Nutella donuts, one for me and one for a friend,...I ate mine and ended up eating my friend's too. Lol! I don't even regret it. Cons: The only thing I thought was a negative was how much I spent on donuts...over $30 and that was with a discount. Ouch! Granted, the donuts here are bigger than most places and their raised donuts stay chewy longer than most places. I didn't realize I was buying all premium donuts either. See attached photos of menu to see prices. Would I order again from this place? I already have and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. read more

OH... the hate-love relationship. Sometimes Randy's donut is so good, the sweet warm Texas Glazed Donut. Omgee. *Salivate* But then it's a hit and miss. Felt like the aftertaste is of too much oil. Randy's donut is affordable and definitely satisfies your sweet cravings. Their dozen glazed donuts cost around $7. The Texas Glazed around 4.50$ each --- and it's HUGEEE!!!! Will I ever come back for Randys? Hell yes Oh yea... they have a drive through. So it's a plus plus during this pandemic situation. read more

I finally went down to Randy's donuts and it was worth the trip!!! Jacob helped my friend and I, he was charming and gave us great suggestions. The place was very clean, all the employees were smiling, even tho we were there in the evening and we were not there for too long, it was busy. They have their own parking lot and even a drive thru. We also got hot chocolate with whip cream and it was just PERFECT!!!! (They use Ghirardelli chocolate). The donuts were fantastic, I got some of the classic old fashion and the churro one (I'm very picky about my churros and they meet my high standards lol) read more

This location never has any of the classic donuts. Waste of time. Go to Cherrys donuts where there donuts are always Fresh.

I have never been to the original Randy's even though I used to work close to it. It was always so crowded and difficult to find parking every time I went. My dad would always brag about it but never brought me any:-( I'm so glad Randy's is now in Downey because I finally get to taste them. It was a little crowded when I went which was around 1pm. I snagged the last spot in the lot. There is also parking on the side street. The line inside went pretty quickly which was convenient. I ordered a dozen for the family. They did not disappoint. I had the maple bacon and boy oh boy it was so good. Tons of crunchy bacon bits underneath all that mapley goodness. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other specialty donuts they offer like the S'mores and the Oreo. If you're in the area check em out! read more

So I am a donut-holic, I love all things donuts. so when I heard that they had opened up a Randy's donuts close to my house I was beyond excited. Unfortunately that excitement quickly faded. The donuts weren't fresh, they have a very bland taste very doughy and they just weren't good. I was so incredibly disappointed. I've had Randy's donuts in Inglewood and I'll continue to go to that location unfortunately I can't say the same for the Downy spot. The only positive I can say is that the people working there were very nice and they had ample parking in a Drive-Thru. read more

We already know the donuts are fantastic, however, this is for an employee: Had the pleasure of being helped by Shaun today! I cannot stress how important good customer service is; he far exceeded my expectations and --in my opinion--reflects how this location runs as a whole. Very personable and kind. Thank you, Shaun! Went to Randy's because I didn't want to get stale donuts from a Mom and Pop shop. Was a big mistake, drove 20 minutes just to find what looks like a pube baked in my donut! What a disappointment. Went in at 4pm today. Donuts were all rock hard and tasted super old. Additionally there were Racks and racks of Donuts. There was no way they would sell those by closing so not sure if they sell them the next day- that would explain the hard old donuts we bought. Don't recommend going here to waste your money. read more

I've ordered here a couple of times. It's been kinda hit or miss. One time I ordered a dozen of beautiful and IG pic worthy donuts. They tasted pretty good. The following time I ordered the same and the donuts tasted meh, lacking flavor. I ordered again as a gift for a classroom and they looked beautiful. I was not too impressed with texture of the other donuts but I can say that the apple fritter was pretty good. The staff is very nice and helpful and you can order ahead read more

Honestly, I like the donuts I think they are decent. The raised glazed is good, the chocolate raised is just ok- they are scarce with the chocolate. I have gone to the Downey location numerous times & I have decided that I will not be going anymore. Honestly everything comes down to customer service- each time the employees give ghetto, low education, lack basic manners and give lazy vibes. This is no directed at anyone that works there, it's just that the overall vibe, it doesn't give. -They are out of a lot of items of the menu most of the times -The staff does not wear hair nets or gloves when handling the food -The coffee taste old -The donut trays are out in open air on racks, without any plastic covering!! -There was a man talking to the staff from outside of the drive thru window- he was literally standing outside of the window chatting with staff inside Just ghetto I am sorry. Invest more time and resources into training the staff to be professional, pleasant & follow a "Starbucks" model which makes customers feel "good". Invest time, training & resources into management! Get an efficient, prepared, kind supervisor that would easily solve all of the issues above. Who trains these workers? Truthfully, you either learn manners & social interaction at home- or at work by force. These people haven't learned a thing. read more
