I don't know why they stay open so late the never have product. I came in today at a little after 7 and they didn't have the donuts i like. I asked them why they do not make stuff fresh at the location. A women there said they come from a centralized bakery in New York the plane leaves about 2:00 AM there time and it lands and then distributes to the local Randy's except the one in Inglewood they have the bakery on the premise. Okay, so the hype around this place is a little full of bass if you ask me. With babe in from NYC, my thought process was to hit all the "spots" and introduce him to the flavors of California...well stale was not at the top of my list but that is what he met with some of these overpriced fancies. I do not regret the trip, because come on if you live in So Cal, you should know Randy's right...now I do. BUT the oreo and churro donuts were stale. The old fashion chocolate crowler was oily, and the bear claw which is my all-time favorite was inedible. I do have to say the pink donut with sprinkles and the fruity pebbles were enjoyable but will I go back again? Probably not. read more

Why have a 24 hours drive thru when it's obviously a fail! Drive thru was full options were scarce! Why have a menu when you are empty, you have no baker and are under staffed. Wowweee, while I can't say these are the best donuts I've ever had I can definitely say these hit different. I only tried the original glaze and it was quite delicious, but it was definitely different from your typical glazed donut. The donut here was very chewy, oily and more dense than a Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut. The dough they use is just.... different? Idk. But the glaze on the doughnut was perfection. The doughnut also tasted very fresh. I know doughnuts arent healthy in general but I did feel like Randy's doughnuts were extra unhealthy... the glazed doughnuts here are HUGEEE btw. Probably 2x the size of Krispy Kreme. I'd happily come back here but I wouldn't go running here when craving a doughnut. read more

Honestly, I like the donuts I think they are decent. The raised glazed is good, the chocolate raised is just ok- they are scarce with the chocolate. I have gone to the Downey location numerous times & I have decided that I will not be going anymore. Honestly everything comes down to customer service- each time the employees give ghetto, low education, lack basic manners and give lazy vibes. This is no directed at anyone that works there, it's just that the overall vibe, it doesn't give. -They are out of a lot of items of the menu most of the times -The staff does not wear hair nets or gloves when handling the food -The coffee taste old -The donut trays are out in open air on racks, without any plastic covering!! -There was a man talking to the staff from outside of the drive thru window- he was literally standing outside of the window chatting with staff inside Just ghetto I am sorry. Invest more time and resources into training the staff to be professional, pleasant & follow a "Starbucks" model which makes customers feel "good". Invest time, training & resources into management! Get an efficient, prepared, kind supervisor that would easily solve all of the issues above. Who trains these workers? i work nearby and picked up a box of assorted donuts on my way home one night. my kids and i are donut-nation, and Randy's didn't disappoint. chocolate cake donut had a firm texture and strong chocolate flavor. cinnamon roll crispy glazed outside and thick-n-fluffy inside. my absolute fav donut is apple fritter, and i get them everywhere i go as a kind of baseline test. Randy's fritter is excellent, though i have to say that I'd still put my local apple fritter up against anything else. (K&M donuts in Placentia, fyi) Randy's staff was super nice and we had a little fun wirh the donut ordering because I'd never been there the counter guy let me pick my fritter off the cooling racks behind him. if I'm in the area and craving a good donut, I'd definitely get Randy's again. read more

According to yelp they're open 24 hours but hardly provided any options of donuts to choose from. I have more options at 7/11 then at this place. I wanted a chocolate sprinkle donut and my bf wanted a chocolate long john and neither was available. I ended up with a pink sprinkled donut (flavor was good but frosting was so thick it fell off at every bite- more than usual) & the hot chocolate tasted hardly like chocolate and more of a spoiled milk taste. I don't know what's happened to this place but Randy's was great when it first opened. As time has gone by it's gotten worse I went this morning for the first time in months. I was craving a ham and cheese croissant and a chocolate old fashioned donut. I was disappointed to say the least when I got home the croissant was was extremely hard around the edges not chewable and the ham was sticking out both ends and was completely burnt. So my wife was down by Stonewood Mall with my daughter about 1 hour ago and they decided to stop by Randy's Donuts in Downey and surprise me with an Apple Fritter, my favorite donut. They get home and hand it over to me when low and behold, I take the first bite and it tastes like it's burned. After examining my fritter, I see black areas around it confirming my suspicion that it was burnt. I've had many many Apple Fritters in the past, and none that I've had have had this dark brown/black color to them. Now, I'm not an expert, or a baker by any means, but it doesn't take an expert to confirm that somethings been burnt. Either the staff at Randy's just didn't care and sold them burnt, or someone there isn't paying attention to what they're doing. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DEFINATLY WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!
