Whenever I'm in need of towing and have to contact AAA, I always request Ramos Towing. For starters I'll get a text when they'll be on their way with an ACTUAL ETA, UNLIKE other companies may send a text just stating they're on their way. Also their drivers are clean cut, professional and very knowledgeable. They also take the time to talk to you about your situation and are very nice. They don't give you the impression like they just want to get you going and be on their way like experiences I've had with other towing companies. I lost my keys and got locked out. Alex got to me within 10 minutes and was beyond helpful and understanding. He opened my car and I went in starting to look for the keys. As I was emotional and crying he gave me a couple minutes - which I greatly appreciated. When I could not find the keys he had the task of towing the car without the keys and the doors continually locking. Out of all the tow companies I have worked with and all the tow people, Alex dell from Ramos towing was beyond the best. I got flat tire on the freeway near the 91 60 215 interchange. I changed the driver side tire on the right shoulder of the busy freeway but my spare was flat. I called for a tire inflation at 11:50am and the estimated wait was an hour. The dispatcher made it an urgent request because of where I was parked being hazardous, and luckily the driver arrived in less than 10 minutes. He put air in the spare, and I was driving within 3 minutes of his 50 minute early arrival. Put aside the object I ran over that demolished my tire and forget about my spare being flat and I'd say that situation couldn't have gone any easier or quicker. read more

Simply an incredible experience! I blew out a tire on the freeway and called AAA, who dispatched a driver from this company. AAA gave me an expected arrival time that was about 30 minutes from the time I called. I settled in for a boring wait, but was pleasantly surprised when the driver arrived in less than 5 minutes--he changed the tire equally as fast. I was home before the time that AAA had given me for the driver's arrival. Wow. I wish I had made a note of the drivers name, because he was friendly and provided excellent customer service, and most importantly got me on the road again in no time. I have used many different AAA providers throughout my years of messing around with project vehicles. With that being said I have had good and bad experiences with tow companies, in my experience the bad experiences have usually reflected problems with dispatch and logistics more so than the drivers them selves. Regardless, I have thanked drivers and sometimes tipped when they were able to accept tips but have never felt the need to recommend there services to others. Tonight I was driving in my offroad project truck that I recently had made "road worthy" I was so confident in the truck that I even convinced my girlfriend to ride along. While on our way to a friends house the truck dropped a valve seat and barely made it off of the freeway. We coasted into the seediest part of town with my truck and came to a stop. After determining the truck was not gonna drive any further, I called AAA for flatbed service, expecting to have to wait an hour or more while fighting off the homeless people in the area. AAA informed me that they would be dispatching a tech from Ramos towing and the waiting game began. Much to my surprise Ramos towing was on the scene in less than 30 minutes, ready to save the day. The technician Ruben, after introducing himself to us and offering some ice cold bottled waters, got right to work. He secured our truck and we rode in the tow truck cab back home. Our car was totaled in an accident last week. We were injured and unable to remove the car ourselves though we did have AAA. CHP had Ramos Towing tow the vehicle to their tow yard; presumably because they are AAA certified. Every day it was some payment excuse by the tow yard not to release our car to the insurance-dispatched tow company. By the time Ramos Towing "received" the payment for storage of the car, it was too late in the day for another company to pick it up before Ramos closed for the day. This went on for several days until Liberty towing assured us that this was a scam that Ramos regularly runs with insurance companies. Fed up, I called AAA and asked for AAA to dispatch Ramos to tow the car to the body shop. AAA complied, but again, Ramos gave dozens of excuses or why it was taking hours to move my car less than 5 miles even though AAA showed the tow truck on location the entire time. They gave up trying and said they would tow it at 7 am the next morning. By 11 am it still was not there. I called AAA yet again, and finally the vehicle was delivered by 1pm on Saturday. The initial request was submitted that Tuesday. While ultimately the insurance companies will be suffering from this price gouging, I believe it should be made aware that Ramos is operating with these business practices in place. I have already shared this information with AAA. read more

From the awesome girl in dispatch to my amazing tow truck driver Julian and the guy who's name I didn't get who came first to jumpstart my car!! First off both drivers arrived super fast and I was called twice by the office to make sure I was alright and to let me know when they would arrive! They were all so nice, friendly and very helpful!!! It was 100° + today and I had driven my little doggie to the Vet in Canyon Crest when my van broke down in the parking lot! This is a common practice to scam either the car owner or the insurance company. They asked about insurance coverage at a car accident and then proceeded to take advantage of a towing situation that benefited them the most and cost us $520 rather than bill AAA and take the car to a body shop as directed. Read on... Ramos Towing was requested by AAA for a towing service with the directive to tow our vehicle to an authorized body shop. The driver recognized that the car was totaled and asked my son (who was driving the car at the time) if the car had full coverage (Why would he need this info). My son called me to verify the type of coverage and then told the tow driver we did not have full coverage. The driver then called off the AAA tow request without telling my son and towed the car to a Ramos Towing lot. My son did not know AAA tow was called-off, the call-off was not verified by AAA (which is standard practice), and he was not told what fees would be charged as a result of towing the car to the Ramos Towing lot. When we called Ramos Towing the next day we were informed that the charge to retrieve our vehicle would be $600, $480 for towing, $60 hook-up, and $60 for overnight storage, or we would not be able to move the car to a salvage location. Elaine at Ramos Towing agreed to reduce the charge to $520 as a courtesy and refused to bill AAA or find any other resolution. They said we signed off on the paperwork and that was final. The invoice signed is a release of liability only. When questioning their practice, Ramos Towing stated that by law they had to call off AAA for the towing service as the car was towed to their lot. Ramos Towing clearly SCAMMED my son who was visibly shaken up from the accident and did not know what to do. He was not given the cost information for towing the car to their lot, nor knew to request a tow to his home which would have been covered by AAA. He expected AAA billed for the towing and hook up and was not informed otherwise. We never requested for the cancellation or call-off service to AAA. read more
