I'm giving them 2 stars because I've had to use them 3 times in the past few months. AAA sent them 1x for a jump and 2x for a tow. The guy that came to do the jump was great. He was friendly and helpful (5 stars). The guy that towed me to the shop was nice BUT he couldn't get my car into gear so he did a few things to the shifter I heard a loud SNAP like something broke and then he got it into neutral. When he needed to put it into neutral the second time it didn't make any noise and I asked if he broke something and he said "no, it made that noise the first time because it was a virgin" and laughed. I felt that this was a very inappropriate joke. It made me feel uncomfortable. There was no charge for the tow because it was within my 7 allotted miles from my house. The 2nd tow was another guy. Younger, not very professional, had somewhat of an attitude. I was having the car towed back home. He refused to follow me and took his own route (even though I repeatedly asked him to follow me on the short cut home) he said there was a $20 charge because of the extra mileage. Cash only. I wasn't expecting a charge since it was the same distance as the first tow! Which was extremely frustrating. I had to borrow $20 from my babysitter because I didn't have cash on me. Embarrassing. I also asked for a receipt which I never got (no text, email or paper receipt was ever received) which leads me to assume he pocketed the money. So overall the first guy who jump-started my car saved the company from a 1 star review. read more

Absolutely terrible service. They lied to my AAA account said they came and helped me but never did!!! Had me standing out in the heat on Fourth of July for 45 minutes and never showed up, like I said they told AAA they did then they text me a service rate request asking me how their service was but they never came!!! I called to find out what was going on the lady said my name 10 times in a row and then hung up on me, treated me like a child I would never use them!!! So I requested a tow from AAA and these people were sent... ANISE, one of their tow truck drivers, is not to be trusted... first off... the car was totaled and we needed it towed to a shop so that an insurance inspector could look at the car later... he swore up and down that Ramos towing was also a AAA certified shop so we agreed to have it towed there... mind you this was at midnight... so come morning we call to let them know the insurance guy is gonna come look at the car and we are informed that they are NOT a shop and that we now have impound and storage fees for the vehicle... called AAA to see if they can assist with this issue, they spoke to these idiots... I called Ramos towing back and now they wanted to work with me on finding out what happened... long story short they released our vehicle and we did not have any fees due to their idiot employee giving incorrect information and we were told he would be given a "talking to"... at that point I would have been ok and thought they could at least get 3 stars.. but no, it didn't stop there... I assume he did get this talk because he acted as a prepubescent teenager girl who just got her feelings hurt by her boyfriend by throwing dust or whatever all over the car and writing his name all over it... so I can only imagine what they might do to other vehicles... grow up people read more

Ramos Towing not once but twice left me in a bad situation first one on a Sunday mind you took over two hours o show up there only 3 miles away ! It's been a month for my situation. I had my car towed with this company from AAA well they dropped my car while uploading it! I have a voicemail from Christina claiming they are going to take care of this yet have not got nowhere. I have spoken to lily multiple times and claims she is going to get it approved from the owner whoever that is. The girl that normally answers the phone has been VERY RUDE and claims to not know nothing about my situation...your a small company I am pretty sure you know everything that happens with your 5 trucks. ALL I WANT IS FOR THIS COMPANY TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGES THEY DID TO MY CAR ITS BEEN A MONTH! All I am getting is the run around! Assholes! this is the word that best describes this company. I was switching cars and while I moved my second car into my driveway the guy hooked the car outside , when I was in the driveway getting out of the other car, i saw the tow truck i yelled at the driver to stop, the driver looked at me and kept backing up and lifted the car and then he rolled his window down and asked "what you want?" I asked him to please put the car down cause I was just walking to it from switching the cars, he say he couldn't do that cause he had already hooked up, even though he saw me in the driveway coming to the car. This is a well run scam, he driver asked me to give him $100.00 to release the car, and when I asked him if he would give me a receipt for it, he bumped it to $ 140.00 saying that is the company release fee,he refused to accept a check and had not way of accepting debit cards, he also refused to show an ID and the received he gave us is for Ramos towing but the decal on his door is for SMD towing. this is modern day piracy, this company puts people in a position where they are left with no choice, and it seems that the management of the mobile home park support these unethical practices. My pump failed and the door locks didn't work. On Monday night I went to Costco for gas and after waiting in that long line and getting to the pump, I find out that the door to the gas tank was also locked. I parked in the Costco parking lot and called AAA, while googling how to unlock the door. The AAA guy (a real nice guy) did not know what to do. By this time, I had three other people googling and calling me with ideas. It was freezing cold. I decided to drive home and tackle the problem the following morning. On Tuesday morning I called AAA and asked that they tow my car to my mechanic, so he could get the panel in the trunk off, and pull the level that would open the door to the gas tank. Jerome from Ramos came in about 20 minutes. I told him what happened and he said, "Let me take a look at it". Long story short, Jerome got his screwdriver, reached into that trunk and pried the clips out. He took off the panel, looked at the google photo, and Viola! The door to my gas tank popped open. Big smiles all around! I asked him to follow me to the nearest Chevron, just to make sure that the gas tank door didn't slam shut. He followed me there, waited until I filled the tank, took a look at my tires, asked me if I was alright, and then prepared to go. I thanked him profusely and all he said to me was, "I love my job!" Jerome was a consummate professional, a breath of fresh air on a day I wasn't looking forward to. My entire demeanor changed and I went on to have a great day!
