When I arrived, I was greeted by the son and mom. They were taking liability pictures of my car (dings, scratches, etc.) makes sense. Since my car trouble was 'check engine light' related, they maneuvered it in neutral, and then loaded the car carefully, securing everything (belting the wheels and tightening). +2 stars customer service and safety/security I had to pay extra for them to tow to my regular mechanic in Orange County, and they were more than willing to take photos and text me to prove that my car was delivered safely and properly to the desired location. They saved me time and hassle to follow them; I was able to just take my rental and go. +2 stars for transparency and efficiency I know that if you use your insurance, you probably can't pick and choose what tow company comes and rescues you. You got that? $Four Hundred & Twenty-Five dollars. He saw Me, and my desperate daughter as EASY MARKS, and he took advantage of the situation, and Us. Other tow truck drivers that my daughter had spoken to (but would not accept my credit card payment over the phone) had quoted "the going rate of $150", one other tow truck quoted $80. Vaca tried to justify the charge as "mileage" he had to travel - But - Come. On. $425.00 for 20.1 miles tow, and the "mileage" doesn't warrant a Plus $275.
