This is easily my favorite ramen spot, and I've been to Japan. Everything here tastes really fresh and high quality, and it feels very authentic. My favorites are the shoyu ramen, the kids ramen (honestly the perfect portion), and the tuna mayo onigiri. My go-to order is usually the kids ramen with a tuna mayo onigiri, and it's always so satisfying. The pork chashu is super soft and tender, the broth has so much flavor, and the noodles are always cooked just right. And definitely don't skip the egg--it's so good. The ambiance is really peaceful, and the space itself is cute and cozy. The staff is always very friendly and eager to please, which makes the whole experience even better. It is one of my go to spots, I seriously cannot recommend enough.
Broth was flavorful without any oiliness to it and ramen had the perfect bite however the pork belly had an off putting "boar taint" taste. I could not eat the meat. Service was quick & ambiance is casual with view of the kitchen. The appetizers were satisfying.
Ramen Takagi is a ramen bar that's clean and modern, yet simplistic in design. It's a small restaurant with several tables and open kitchen counter you can view. The service was reasonable even though it wasn't busy. The server was nice. There's a variety of Japanese drinks you can order with your meal. We ordered the spicy miso ramen, black garlic tonkatsu ramen, and the fried karaage chicken. I've been to the restaurant at least a dozen times in the past five years and it's always been a good spot for ramen. Lately, I've noticed the change in the quality. I used to enjoy all the flavorful spices and richness of the broth, but this last time I felt it lacked the same robust taste. Perhaps there was a change in recipe or cooking method. At one time the ramen could be comparable to Domu or Jinya's elevated versions. I have been to a lot of fabulous ramen bars across the US, and this one use to be exceptional in past years. However, I want to emphasize that for this area of town it is still considered a good option for someone craving ramen. What I enjoyed most was the fried chicken karaage. It was still crunchy and had nice spices and a creamy dipping sauce. There's a small parking lot and many food options in the same plaza.
Ordered pickup, first time trying. We got spicy miso ( pretty sure that's what it was called) ramen and shoyu. As well as the chicken kaarage. The ramen was good but not my favorite. We arrived right at the pickup time but my ramen was Soo cold. My friends was hot. I think the shoyu would've been better if it were hot. The chicken app was delicious though. Super crispy and the sauce taste homemade. I would go back and try them again if I were dining in.
Mentaiko mazesoba - a limited time mazesoba and if you like a slight creamy base with mentaiko/semi spicy cod roe, then you will like this. I would recommend asking for it less salty so you can appreciate the flavors more while eating, as it does get rich and heavy from the butter/kewpie mayo. The server was really nice and had offered a bit of rice to eat with the leftover sauce and it was almost like eating a risotto. Definitely making sure I come back a few times while its here!
This was a great spot to grab dinner with some friends. The menu is straight forward and they are well honed in on what they do. You might notice a picture of the Water with ice, I included it because the taste of a restaurant water is very important in FL, and their water is great, no tap or sulfuric taste. That tells me they care about all aspects of the meal. We had the karaage which I would say is a must try we also had the dumplings and onigiri, all great starters. We had the Spicy miso, tantan with no pork, and the dumpling ramen. Our friend had the broth less tantan with noodles and he thoroughly enjoy it. Their broth has a richness to it that makes it very satisfying and they ground pork they add to it makes the broth more flavorful as you work your way through it. They are also not stingy with the toppings which are very fresh. The place was busy so we had to wait to sit but it was worth the wait! I also appreciated that they did not hurry us up even though they were busy and the staff was just lovely and knowledgeable about their menu items. If you are a ramen lover you will enjoy this place, this cold weather is also the perfect time for it. ごちそうさまでした

While this ramen shop is lesser known compared to other ramen restaurants in the area, I think it surpasses other shops in both quality, quantity, and taste. My go to is the tonkatsu. The pork belly is so yummy I could rave on and on about it but take my word for it. They give you so much broth and meat that it has become customary to also get an additional side of noodles to go with my leftovers and it's like a second meal. My boyfriend loves the spicy miso. While it's spicy (as the name implies), the servers allow you to add the spicy paste on the side to customize to your spice desire. Both broths are incredible and no matter which ramen you order you won't be disappointed. I also am a big fan of their karaage. It is always so fresh and perfectly fried. The fried part of the chicken is flavored to perfection and the side sauce is delicious. Only downside to this restaurant is it is smaller in size and can fill up quick, but given it is a mom and pop shop, it's worth the wait and to support local businesses is always a plus. The service is always fast. Each time I go I get so surprised with how quick they bring food out. I love the open concept of the kitchen. You can peak right in when sitting at the counter and watch them cook your food. I love you ramen takagi!
Ramen is easy to make, but Takagi puts in a ton of unique creamy flavored goodness. Eggs are soaked in soy sauce that adds another layer of Flavor. The pork is thinly sliced, tender and perfectly falls apart when using chop sticks. Loved the big wooden soup spoon to gathering a little bit of everything while using chopsticks and also taking a sip of the broth. Welcomed in with good instruction because it was busy. Waited outside for about 10 mins. Well worth it. Simple decor with pleasant colors, nice calm music able to carry conversation at your table.
I'm usually not in this area, so they've been on and off my radar for a while now. One of my co-workers recommended that I need to try them, so I finally got around to it. The restaurant is nice. It's small and cozy. There are only about five tables and a bar area for seating. The waiter was nice. I ordered at the host podium and was sat immediately after. I got the salmon rice ball and the pickled plum rice ball. I've had both in Tokyo, so I have high hopes for these being amazing! They were good! The salmon had a nice and fresh grilled flavor. The plum was salty and sour, just like I remembered! Tasty rice balls! I'll have to come back to try the ramen!
I'm so happy I finally try Ramen Takagi. I have been on a hunt for good ramen in Central Florida ever since I came back from Japan. The first time I wanted to try Ramen Takagi I didn't check the time and they were almost closing so we didn't stay (I hate to be those parties that expect service five minutes before closing) and the second time there was a bad storm and we couldn't go as planned. Well, the third time is a charm and it was worth the wait. We ordered the spicy miso and tonkotsu ramen. Oh wow! They were phenomenal. The broth was so rich and flavorful and the egg too. We also ordered the gyozas as an appetizer and we loved them too. The portion was perfect and fulfilling. The place is small with regular and counter seating. So it reminded me a little bit of Japan. I will definitely be back here. It is delicious. Not at Japan level but it is a good option nearby.
We visited ramen takagi on a Saturday afternoon. I had been looking forward to trying another ramen place since I've struggled to find a new favorite since Sapporo closed and Seito stopped serving ramen. We started with the karaage which was super fresh. The mayo with it was delicious, and it was super crispy and delicious. I don't usually go for fried chicken, but they knocked it out of the park with this one. I got the tonkotsu ramen with corn and my companion got the signature garlic with extra egg and noodles. The tonkotsu broth was amazing. It was rich and flavorful, everything that I wanted. The noodle serving was plentiful. The pork melted in my mouth. The eggs were amazing. The corn had a slight char to it. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with this ramen. The signature garlic ramen was also very good. Everything that this place did, they did well. I'm very happy with the experience. The service was quick, and the food was tasty. I'll definitely be back for more.
If you're hunting for a cozy, casual ramen spot in Orlando and don't need fancy décor or superfluous menu items, Ramen Takagi is definitely worth a shot. Their classic bowls of tonkotsu, miso, shoyu are solid, with flavorful broths, decent toppings, and a vibe that's more authentic ramen than tourist trap. Service was amazing!

Recommend Black Garlic Tonkonsu Ramen! 10/01, flavorful and tasty! There was a lot of noodles but the eggs were cooked to perfection. Spicy miso Ramen 10/10, if you like a little kick, this would be the broth for you! Spicy cucumber salad, also very tasty, and refreshing. Karaage chicken was juicy and the mayo sauce was a great pairing. Plenty of parking spaces, service was good. It was a tight space but all in all we had a great experience. read more
My husband and I stopped into Ramen Takagi on a Saturday around 12:20pm, and we must have timed it perfectly--there was only one table left when we arrived. The restaurant is on the smaller side (about 6-7 tables) with additional bar seating, which adds to the cozy, authentic feel. The Vibe: Small, intimate, and focused--this is the kind of place where you know the food is the star. One small note: I didn't see any beer options--just soft drinks and teas. Not a dealbreaker, but I do usually enjoy a beer with ramen, so it was a bit of a miss for me. My friends and I wanted to do ramen near their area, and they really enjoy this place. We arrived on a Wednesday and luckily got a seat immediately. I was able to wait and take some water before my friends arrived as well. We sat in a small table near the front. I went with the spicy tonkatsu ramen soup for 18.5. I was offered a slice level and chose hot. The soup came pretty quickly. The broth had a small amount of heat that I coughed a bit from swallowing a pepper, but not too hot to make me cry. It could have been a bit spicier for more flavor honestly. The noodles were nicely portioned and al dente. The pork was tender, but could have been more flavorful. The egg was nicely soft boiled. I did enjoy the scallions and mushrooms, but I held the pickled ginger as I only eat it with sushi. Overall, the soup was pretty filling and satisfactory. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is pretty small and casual. There weren't many tables, so there could be a wait if it gets crowded. It looks like alcohol isn't served and Japanese soda plus other drinks are available in a fridge. Music seemed to be easy listening vapor wave music, which is good for chillaxin and studying. While I found Domu and Soupa Saiyan to have slightly better ramen, Ramen Takagi still provides a nice ramen soup in a very casual atmosphere. Great for UCF students to enjoy a good comfort food and for Oviedo residents as well. read more

Still after all the time has passed since our first visit. This is still by far the best ramen in the Orlando area. The food is incredible. Very tasty and cooked fresh to order- worth the wait! The location is small and intimate, and the service is great. The owner is so nice and remembers us every time we go in- even if months have passed. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for real authentic ramen! read more

I had just gotten back from a trip to Japan and was craving some ramen and immediately thought of heading to Ramen Takagi. Ramen takagi was delicious . They're gyoza was pan seared with a crispy exterior and soft juicy interior. You can taste the ginger in the gyoza which reminded me of Japan. I feel like many places here in America that serve gyoza stray away from the ginger due to the American palette. I love that Ramen Takagi keeps it authentic The Tonkotsu ramen was very good, broth was creamy, fragrant, rich but not too rich. For me the broth could use a little more salt/tare but that's my preference. It's still very good and I ate the entire bowl. The Ajitama is 11/10, perfectly marinated, I ate it so fast I contemplated ordering another one! The spicy cucumbers were delicious as well and the portions were great for the price which is very rare nowadays. They actually had a small kick to them as well I've been here a few times and this place is very deserving of a good review. Consistency is key for me and it's been perfectly consistent every time Ive visited. I always try to visit a place 3/4 times before I leave a review. Staff were all great and treated me great, I will definitely keep coming and wish this place all the success! Please don't change and thank you chef! read more

I would definitely recommend Ramen Takagi. I got the Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen and it was very good with the chili oil I added. The server was very nice and we got our food fast. And they had soft low fi beats playing. Coming back soon to have some yummy ramen read more
Ramen Takagi is really special, and the people of central Florida are blessed they don't need to buy a ticket to Japan for some of the most authentic and incredible tonkotsu ramen around. I ordered it spicy and it hit in every aspect. The pork broth milky white and rich. The level of umami reminded me of being back in Japan. Beautiful seasoned egg accompanied what may be the best bowl of tonkotsu ramen I've had stateside. The thinly sliced charsu literally melts in your mouth. Great service. Friendly vibe. Ramen Tagaki is my go-to spot for satisfying ramen cravings. This humble, unassuming gem proves that incredible, authentic ramen can be found in the most unexpected places--like a strip mall just off the 417. As someone who used to work in the restaurant industry, it blows me away for efficient this place is too - I don't think I've ever seen more than 2 people working in the kitchen and they still manage to get food out quickly and consistently! While the vegetarian options are limited, the veggie mazesoba never disappoints. It's so flavorful and consistently delicious that I find myself ordering it every time. Those last few bites when the veggies have been sitting with the egg for a bit -- uugh! Heavenly! The restaurant is quite small, with only about six tables and a few seats at the ramen bar, so a short wait is likely during dinner hours or on weekends--especially in colder weather. But the cozy atmosphere and excellent food make it well worth the wait! read more
Once again, Ramen Takagi proves to be the most reliable source of delicious ramen in our city - possibly even the state!!! We walked in a 4:31 and were the first to enjoy their amazing fried chicken, and two full bowls of ramen. The staff are always friendly and fast, and by the time we left, we're busy helping the packed establishment! If you haven't tried Ramen Takagi yet, you owe it to your tastebuds to go. The food you receive is well worth their reasonable prices. I just haven't figured out a way to get free refills on the soup, but I'll keep trying! read more
Update to say I still really enjoyed this ramen! Ordered the tonkotsu this time and the pork and broth were perfect. I prefer thicker, chewier noodles, but delicious nonetheless!! Also the kaarage is near perfect-- crispy and well seasoned breading coating juicy chicken :) read more
This was my first time stopping by Ramen Takagi, and what a fantastic experience! Don't let the location fool you -- this is a quaint and classic small family-owned ramen spot that serves authentic dishes by a friendly staff. With an open kitchen, you can see chefs preparing each dish fresh-to-order. We tried, and loved, their Tonkotsu Ramen, Tantan Mazesoba, and gyoza. All delicious! Made a stop here for date night because of a few suggestions. I'll start with the important information. The location isn't large, just an FYI. They do wait on your table which is cool. The staff was super friendly and helpful when I asked for a few recommendations. The salmon rice ball was solid. Probably not for me but the salmon tasted fresh and the seaweed was actually crispy which was a massive bonus The gyoza was phenomenal! The spicy soy sauce with it was an added benefit. The ramen was thick and creamy. Not terribly spicy. Honestly not a single complaint from this trip, so def deserved the 5-star rating. read more
BEST AUTHENTIC RAMEN IN ORLANDO! I'm such a ramen fiend. I eat ramen at least once a week and almost everyday when I was visiting Japan. This place is the real deal. This time I tried the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and Karaage. My husband tried Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, Salmon Onigiri, and Gyoza. They also have Hojicha or roasted green tea, which I love. Everything was amazing, ramen broth is rich, deep, and complex. I opted to also get a side of their house-made hot paste to add spice and that makes my ramen even better. The restaurant itself is quite small and pretty casual. Service is good but just remember you're in the college town so don't expect exceptional service. Our server was nice but was quite slow at coming to take orders or checking if we need something but nothing we didn't expect. Overall, highly recommend checking out their ramen! Just remember it's a more casual place and you won't be disappointed. Side note: Chef Yoko Takagi recently won't Ramen Rumble 2024 competition at Morimoto on Monday! Ramen Takagi is one of my favorite places to grab ramen in town. Ramen Takagi consistently serves quality ramen every time I have been here. I have not tried their appetizers but they do serve gyoza, fried chicken, and onigiri on the menu. Their main focus is their ramen, though, so the menu is a little bit limited on a variety of other items. I always order black Tonkotsu ramen. It is very flavorful with the addition of black oil. The amount of protein they add is quite generous and the broth is always fresh and flavorful. I decided to order the tan tan brothless noodles. Though it wasn't my favorite, it was quite good. If you are bringing a big group of people, I would not recommend coming to Ramen Takagi unless you call ahead. The restaurant is limited in space and can be packed. read more
I am often times a man full of words, especially when it comes to my beloved ramen. There are so many aspects of a ramen dish that you can pick apart....the broth, the noodles, the chasu, or even the egg. But Ramen Takagi leaves me with only one thought....what a damn good bowl! The Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen gets it right on all fronts. The broth is full of depth, rich and flavorful. The noodles are plentiful, perfectly al dente. The Chasu is melt in your mouth good, and the ramen egg is technically flawless(which isn't easy to pull off). Ramen Takagi is easily the best ramen I've had in Florida, and honestly is up there with some of the best I've had elsewhere. If you long for your ramen fix, this is a must. read more

The host welcome me right in its a small little restaurant I was really craving some ramen and I saw this place on tik tok I tried it prior to Covid but it wasn't that great since I was sooo hooked on domu. I ordered the BLACK GARLIC TONKOTSU RAMEN with a little spice. The broth was very tasty . It was decent and hit my craving for ramen. I didn't sit in I actually took it to go but the place was busy for a Sunday evening. My ramen came up to 20 bucks not too bad. read more

It is a small place, so sometimes you have to wait a little bit to be seated. Gyoza was good, tradicional ramen was very good and the black garlic is the same, but with a garlic flavor and more grease. Staff was friendly. read more

Delicious food at a reasonable price. The portions are large and filling. The staff was informative and attentive. Small spot with not much seating. There was a bit too much rice in the onigiri, but it tasted fresh and delicious. The wrappers are just like the ones in Japan where they keep the seaweed off the rice. read more

The wings were 8/10 the sauce was really good & great flavor. The ramen was 6/10 It was missing a little bit of flavor and it was pretty bland. The Gyoza 7/10 The place was super hot, Im not sure if the ac wasn't working & very small. The service was good about a 9/10 , they were nice and attentive. read more
Small and comforting ramen place at Oviedo. Food was out within 10-15 minutes or less. Was greeted with kindness and love :). "Chicken Karaage" appetizer was amazing, will 100% get again and would recommend! Chicken pieces were large yet juicy and has a flavor of its own even when dipped with their complimentary spicy mayo sauce! "Pork Gyoza" was also juicy, yet light and refreshing. "The Wonton Ramen" was very light and warming with the shrimp and pork wontons, which they didn't hold back on their portions! It also came with deliciously soft yet crunchy bok choy. The noodles that come with every ramen dish are perfectly firm and bouncy, which stands out from other ramen shops in Orlando. "Black Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen" includes a heavy broth that tasted torched yet rịch. The pork chashu was perfectly cooked as well as the creamy "hard boiled egg" included. Overall, AMAZING place. I've heard of this restaurants for a long time and have heard great things about the food. I was pleasantly surprised with everything when I went last week. I got the black garlic tonkatsu ramen, and I loved how strong the garlic flavor was. The amount of food may not look much at a glance, but there are a lot of noodles in the bowl ヽ(^o^) I give the ramen a score around 8.5/10 The only downside from it is that the place is small, so if you have a bigger group when going, you may have to wait a while before getting seated. read more
