The place is clean and inviting. The Mr. Robatanist drink was full of flavor. The service was amazing and fast. The food was flavorful with just enough spice. We started with the pickle plate - Kombu daikon, yuzu cucumbers and spicy Chinese long bean, the Short Rib Gyoza, and the Smoked Chicken Wings. Next we had the Dunken Noodles - Thai basil, spicy Korean & Fresno chile, broccolini, smoked chicken thigh, shiitake mushroom, scallion , and the Howe Farms Spicy Tantanmen Ramen - Ground pork, arugula, shoyu egg, green onion, mung bean. We will be back again to experience more of the menu. Definitely recommend visiting Ramen District. read more

Second time getting the birria ramen and it's the second time getting little to no actual meat. Sad portion considering the $17 price tag.....ADD MORE MEAT PLEASE read more

My husband and I stopped for early lunch last weekend. Cute place with lots of seating for two but also two massive booths perfect for bigger parties. It's confusing when you walk in but look to your right for or a host stand. The bartender also mentioned you can seat yourself at the bar. Food: this was actually our first time trying ramen so I'm not sure we're a great judge. I will say though in case it helps that the table next us mentioned they loved ramen and theirs is the real deal. Friendly server Alexandria helped me with meatless options, too. read more

What an amazing surprise to find such a high quality Ramen joint in the basement of a courthouse in Indiana! I am visiting from Los Angeles as my mother in law was in hospital. I wanted a bite to eat and some WiFi to check in with work. What I found was very high quality Ramen. Living in LA and traveling for business, I have eaten a LOT of Ramen all over the country. This was everything you want in Ramen on a brisk fall day. This broth made with love like your grandma would make... if she was Japanese! Amazing noodles. Locally sourced pork chasu, all the "toppings" that a traditional Ramen has including a perfect soft boiled egg in the broth. I order the Tonkotsu Ramen as it's my favorite style. But wait! Is that a full bar?! I came back later with my wife. They had at least seven kinda of Japanese whiskey including the coffee Nikka whiskey (one of our favorites) which we had on the rocks. And we couldn't resist the pillowy Bao Tacos as a snack! Then we had the miso cheesecake with red bean ice cream and Asian Pear. What a treat! Do yourself a favor for lunch or drop in for a cocktail at night as they are evidently open late. Would be a cool place to drink in the later evening. read more

The place has a very hip yet comfortable ambiance. The staff is super friendly. Julian was so friendly, professional and accommodating. The food is super tasty. It is not a traditional ramen. It puts a slight eclectic spin on it. Very tasty with lots of flavor. read more

Awesome location in the old Courthouse now with beautiful new patio on courthouse lawn. Best pork belly bar I've ever had. Their ramen is very good. Great service and amazing cocktails. Great sake list too! read more

Cute place. Expensive but adequate sized portions. There were no condiments or fresh green to add to our ramen or any extra spices. Spent $172 for six of us with only 1 ordering a cocktail. And there's the mandatory 20% tip. It's just too much to spend for noodles. read more

Where do I start. The food and drinks were so good. The service and ambience was so great. Our waitress so nice and had the best recommendations from food to drinks. Definitely coming back. read more

Tasty delicious and a cool vibe in northwestern indiana! It feels like a Chicago place. So many good Japanese whiskeys and ramen to love. Brilliant broth. Yummy noodles. Everything made with love! I want to come here late night and get my drink on! read more

I didn't feel like they had enough on their menu. I tried the pork belly ramen and it was alright. Not very flavorful or aesthetically pleasing. The bao bao appetizer was very good. Sake tasted great but was ridiculously expensive. It also was poured into a cocktail glass instead of the traditional shot glass, which is weird to me. Just felt very Americanized not authentic. Service was pretty good, and the food came out quick! read more

I was so excited to come eat here because I love noodles, my daughter & I both ordered the drunken noodle dish and it looked very nice when we got our plates but omg it was very salty and gooey! It was very disappointing and it wasn't cheap. I'm giving it two stars because the restaurant is very cute & our server was very friendly! read more

Don't waste your time with the Dan Dan noodles. Everything else has been wonderful. I really like the brisket fried rice. read more

Great food I'd love it even more if there were more options on the Ramen. The staff is amazing

Thought the food was fantastic, and our server was attentive without being clingy. Met a good friend for lunch, and we pretty much tried as much as we could. Four apps (wings, shrimp, gyoza, and bao), couple of cocktails, and a generous bowl of ramen for me, and the fried rice for my companion. Each dish was, without question, prepared with care and delivered to the table piping hot. The ramen (which is, of course, the reason you're coming here, right?) is fantastic. Rich, flavorful broth, chewy noods, crazy fresh veg, and delicious char siu. I was pretty impressed. If someone asked if they should check it out...absolutely. I know I'll be back. read more

The food was amazing!!! We normally have to drive up to China town for amazing ramen so it's nice to have food like this so easily available. Our server Annette was so kind and welcoming. We plan to come back more often! read more

The food here is great! I had the drunken noodles without the chicken because I only like chicken breast and they put chicken thighs in it. I also ordered the Thai rice and pork ramen noodles along with the pork belly bao sandwiches. Everything was delicious. My only surprise was the to go fee that they charge. It added another $6 to my bill. Sorry I forgot to take pictures of my food. read more

Ramen was so bland. Noodles too rubbery. Broth tasted like straight vegetable water. Not a single Asian in the kitchen. Not authentic. 0 culture in the food. No love either. Serves tap water with ice. I Can keep going, but never coming back ever. read more

Amazing atmosphere, subpar ramen. The location of Ramen District is really beautiful, it's one of the restaurants located inside the old courthouse in the heart of Crown Point. Inside has a great atmosphere and is a really nice spot to go on a date if you don't care about having authentic ramen. This ramen is extremely subpar and I was very disappointed and shocked because the reviews were good. The ingredients in the ramen are fine, the egg, pork belly and mushrooms were all fine but that's not what makes a good ramen. Broth and noodles are the make it or break it for a ramen. The noodles they use aren't ramen noodles or udon noodles, I swear they used kluski noodles in their ramen. The broth was also extremely bland, it was more like warm water rather than a broth. To give it flavor I had to use their chili oil, and it helped a little but it also made the ramen extremely oily. I'm convinced the people who said the ramen was good have not had authentic ramen, so I guess I would highly recommend this place to people who've never had authentic ramen, and tell the people who have had authentic ramen to stay far away from Ramen District because it's Midwestern "Ramen". The staff was nice, but a nice staff and a good atmosphere mean nothing when the food is bad. read more

Yesterday was the first time I've tried this restaurant and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The flavor was just ok but it didn't justify the high end pricing. We did pickup and we always tip for pickup service as well as giving the kitchen the $5 High Five Gratuity that's recommended on their site. What I wasn't ready for was a 10% packaging fee to do take out! TALK ABOUT STICKING IT YOUR CUSTOMERS, HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THIS OTHER THAN A MONEY GRAB AT A TAKEOUT RESTAURANT. I hope you spend that 10% well because it will be the last dollar you get from me or any of my family and friends in Crown Point! Welcome to the Crown Point Square where you get soaked when you try to support your local small business read more

The bar tender was attentive and helpful. The food was amazing! Even then hostess was great! Will visit again.

Amazing Ramen, great cocktails, cool ambiance...what else do you need? I'm so happy that we finally have a good ramen eatery in the area. Although the spicy ramen was REALLY spicy, it was delicious. Sadly I couldn't feel my mouth after, but it was worth it. read more

Ramen District - Ramen Near Me - Crown Point, Indiana

I haven't been to this restaurant before, but decided to go and try this restaurant tonight. Well, I plug it into the gps and it doesn't exactly tell you where it is in the old lake court house. I decided to call at 8:11pm to ask where could we enter since I've haven't been here before and couldn't locate the entrance. The young women that answered wasn't of any help at all and just laughed and said "through the door that says ramen district" while laughing and giggling being very condescending. I wouldn't recommend coming here if that's how you would treat new potential customers. read more

Just got everything off the specials menu and everything was incredible. And any time they've got the pork fat ice cream from Howe Farm, do yourself a solid and get it!! The best ice cream we've ever eaten anywhere ever. read more

The spicy pork ramen is the best I have ever had!! Everything actually, the bao buns, the fried rice, the wings.... everything lol

Ramen Districts need to come up with more gluten-free options, including dishes with gluten-free soy sauce. I'm going to give them another chance to see if they've changed their menu since opening up. I also like what they did to offer for outdoor dining. I'll have to try it again and see if I have a better experience- I do wish them well. read more

It a beautiful room and the service is very good. Last Friday was my third visit with my daughter. I want to love this place but find it difficult. The saki was not hot. The ramen noodles were over cooked, and the fried rice had too much soy and was overly seasoned. I mean, the rice was just a gelatinous blob. I like what they do with the pork belly, but the miso broth...I don't know...it was okay. It's nothing to get excited over. I wish Ramen District success, but I don't feel the need to return. read more

The food is really good. I got the gluten free ramen and enjoyed it. The gluten free fried rice is a little too salty.

Loved this place the first few times we went. Went this evening and were practically the only ones there. Took at least a half an hour to be seen which isn't that bad considering staffing shortages in the food industry. But our waiter was texting behind the dumpsters while we had no drinks, we finally got our food and had no silverware and no one ever came back to give us something to eat our Luke warm ramen with. I went inside to get anything to eat our food with and everyone was just standing around. The food was actually good though. Until it wasn't... my fiancé and I haven't left the bathroom all night since eating this stuff. Feeling super ill. Hopefully just a bad night.... read more

First time here and very impressed. Great atmosphere! The gyoza was our favorite part of the meal. Also got the tankotzu ramen and the drunken noodles, great flavors! Excited to come back. read more

Ramen was below average. Fried rice was good. Sex Panda Lager was amazing. If you want amazing ramen go to Blockhead in Valparaiso. The ramen at ramen district was very underwhelming. read more

Crown Point needed a Ramen spot and this place is cool. It's small and intimate. We sat right outside the front door which is cool just cause the courthouse building is so unique. I like places that get creative and the Ramen was awesome. It's a simple menu which is nice. Probably not for those looking for something dumb like Kung POW chicken soup. Definitely show up and enjoy it cause it's nice to have some variety with all the bar food on the square. read more

This is an awesome place especially for summer, hitting the bars, and then being able to get ramen. Super nice staff too

We had been meaning to try this for a while now and finally made it in. The ambiance was great. The food was amazing both in quality and flavor. We will be back! The only issue will be if I try something new off the menu or order the delicious food we had tonight. read more
