My husband enjoyed the chef special of the evening which was a black truffle Ramen bowl with oyster mushrooms, snow peas, bean sprouts, and a little pork belly and oh so good! I had studied the menu before wanting to have the Thai fried rice with the crab, but they were out of the crab so I asked the server what his favorite things were, and I chose one of them which was the Birria Ramen. While we were trying to order drinks, the manager came over because the waitress thought one of my friend's ID "didn't look right". Now his ID is from Illinois, but he then presented MULTIPLE other forms of identification. We were then told that they would not serve him. When my friend and I tried to order drinks, the waitress took a long look at both of our IDs, asked what drinks we wanted, then walked away. When she returned, the manager came with her and we were informed that we would not be served. I am 27 years old and have never had an issue with my ID. My friend is 24 and presented his passport card and FOID card. My 23 year old friend was denied because the waitress claimed she went to school with her, even though she had no idea who she was. I WISH I could have tried the food and drinks for myself, but I was denied the privilege.
