The food has potential. Mix of Greek and Mexican food. The Birria Smash burger was good but could use something more. The food is also very salty, especially the Spartan Bowl. The only drink I liked was the Banana Rum drink. The service was sub par. For being one party out of 4 in the restaurant, the service was slow. Went through two drinks before getting my food. And some of my party got their food long after others finished their food (eating outside, had to eat the food as it came). The servers were nice. This is a bar that serves very good food. Casual atmosphere for a weekday dinner and not too loud when I went. Drinks were very well made, specialty cocktail list was nice. Welcoming you in when you step into their establishment to pushing tables together to fit your large group and separating tables to fit two more in, this has happened to me on separate occasions. How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. What a terrible dining experience. First, an espresso martini was recommended, but it was mainly cream. The watermelon mocktail was good. Bao buns were unimpressive and we also ordered the bubbling shrimp appetizer. They tried to flambé the dish table side and after several attempts one of the chefs came out and tried and still couldn't light it then just said "oh well." The dish itself had no flavor whatsoever and the "crostinis" just tasted like stale/bland bread. After a bad start we decided to cut our losses and get outta there to the tune of $50 not well spent. Not too many restaurants on the square take reservations on a Friday night, but this place does which is a HUGE bonus when you're celebrating with 14 people!!! One13North had great service, our waitress was friendly and accommodating , ALL our food came out at the same time, orders were correct and the food tasted great! The atmosphere was perfect! I'm updating my review from 1/5 to 5/5 stars. I was unimpressed with the food and service when this restaurant first opened several years ago after being previously called Zodiac. They've made incredible improvements, and I've been really impressed with my last few visits here. The drinks and food are fantastic. My only remaining criticism is that service is still pretty slow. So just plan on having a leisurely meal when you dine here. I'm now a huge fan of this restaurant, and would recommend it to any Crown Point restaurant-goer. read more

We had a large group meet up after work for drinks. We were told that we would have to pay the 20% gratuity and have a combined check. When we arrived the nice bartender said she could do separate checks but would take a little longer which we understood. The rude and disrespectful manager came out and made a scene. A less then politely asked us to leave. NEVER again will I step foot in that place and all 14 others agree. If I could rate it zero stars I would just because of this fool. We just had a wonderful dinner at One13 North. In fact, I'm sitting here as I write this review. My hubby, and I both had burgers... They were fabulous! The handmade tater tots are dreamy, and the smashed fingerling potatoes are out of this world! Kalyn is a wonderful server and made sure we were always satisfied. I highly recommend this place, but on the other hand, I don't want too many of you to come here. The ambience was perfect and we were able to get a table immediately on a Saturday night at 6:45. Stopped here last week when I was in town for business. Arrived very early in the evening so had the place to myself. The server recommended the Burger Jam Burger. Let me tell you, glad he did! One of, if not thee, best burger I have ever eaten. It was truly special and the fries were good too. We came here with the kids for dinner during the middle of the week. The place was not too crowed which was nice. Staff was welcoming and nice. We started off with the Brussel sprouts appetizer and loaded tater tots and both were SO good. Everyone loved it and that says a lot with kids. My son ordered the wings and loved them. My oldest daughter ordered the pork belly burger and she liked the burger but said the pork on the burger was pretty rubbery so she didn't eat it. My younger daughter ordered the Turkey club and liked it. My husband ordered the rib sandwich and said it was decent. Not as flavorful as he would like. I ordered a regular cheeseburger and I thought it was very good. Overall the place was good. We will be back but probably just the adults. read more

Went here with a friend who recommended it. I had eaten a rather large meal beforehand, so I only ate a small appetizer. I got the crispy shrimp bao bun, and despite it being small and seemingly simple, it had tons of flavor. I probably need to eat a full meal before judging the restaurant completely, but what I had was good and my friend loved his meal. The restaurant was extremely warm, and we only had small wine glasses of water, so we had to ask for several refills. That wouldn't have been an issue, but our waitress didn't visit our table often. In addition, when I asked for water, she only filled my glass, not my friend's, and vice versa. I would like to come back to try a meal, despite the poor service. read more

We hadn't planned on dining here, but we ended up here because of a power outage across the street. They were clearly unprepared for the rush that was happening because of the power outage at the restaurants around them. That being said. They did an alright job. We walked up to the hostess stand and asked to sit outside. We were asked to wait while they got something ready. 5 minutes later, another party came in. They asked to be seated and were seated before us. We were probably asked by 5 employees if we were being helped before we were actually sat. Once we were sat, we got water quickly. Ordered the garlic twist for our appetizer. A while later we finally were able to order our meal and drinks. From a different server. The garlic twist were good, but left us a bit confused. 6 to an order. Because they weren't all sized the same, they were all cooked at a different level. Some were almost hard and crispy on the edge, some were cooked perfectly, and some were a bit raw inside. But they all tasted good. My wife's burger was topped with the most bacon jam I have ever seen on anything, ever. There was probably 1/3 of a cup of bacon jam on it. The burger was seasoned well, and tasted good though. The hot chicken sandwich was just ok. It wasn't a piece of breaded hot chicken, rather it was several small pieces of chicken on the bread. Every time I picked it up from the plate, pieces of chicken fell off of the sandwich. Good flavor, but oddly executed. Drinks were well made, and seemed to be very well balanced. Avoid the ice cream sandwich. The cookies were super dense and thick. The ice cream was great though. And I have never seen that much whipped cream on a dessert before. Would have rated it a star higher, but the service was terribly slow. We were there for a little over 1 1/2 hours total. read more

Last night I stopped in with a couple of friends and sat at a high top table. We each got a drink. I tried one of their specialty drinks which was like a blackberry mojito- boy was it tasty! The pickle fries were AMAZING. I'll be back for those alone. Again I thought the tator tots were just okay, but we ordered the appetizer version this time and I liked them better with the sauce and toppings. We each tried a different bao bun and I did really like the avocado one I had. Lastly, we had the bread pudding for dessert. It was good but not great. Instead of the 3 stars I gave on google, I will be posting this here with 1 star since you had the audacity to remove my review.. I came in on Friday night and sat in the bar area. We were greeted in a timely fashion, but the bartender seemed a little rushed, which is understandable since she was a little busy. We waited a bit for our drinks & when they did arrive they did not taste the same as they usual do. She was also not the most attentive.. our drinks sat empty for a bit of time, and she walked by multiple times, then when we saw she was a little less busy we flagged her & ordered another round hoping they would be better since she wasn't so rushed,but they unfortunately were not.. so we just decided to ask for the check. The real kicker though, was that the bartender (younger, short brown curled hair, glasses) never once had her mask above her nose.. & later in the evening was complaining VERY loudly about a group that did not tip/did not tip well enough.. We will not be returning to your establishment since all you do is "sweep the problems under the rug" by removing some of the reviews that don't make you look very good. read more

Sweetest waitress I've ever met. My friends got some great looking food, I only had a Mango Caliente cocktail, but I tasted the calamari and pickle spears. Both of which were fried perfectly and paired with great dips. I enjoyed the chopped mix of olives and pickled veggies to dress the calamari. The burger was large and juicy in appearance. At the end, I asked if they have a military discount, the waitress wasn't sure so she said she'd ask. When she returned, she said that they don't but she felt wrong coming back to tell me that so she put my cocktail on her own tab. Almost made me cry. I told her isn't wasn't necessary, I'd just heard that a lot of the local places did military discount, but I never have a problem with paying. She wouldn't take no for an answer. read more

Normally I would give this place a solid 5 stars - the food is legit! Like I was going there on a weekly basis...often more. Oysters on Monday for $1?! Yes please, and they are so fresh and cleaned/shucked very well! Bao buns? Absolutely! Buffalo Mac & cheese? Any day, any time. The hummus, the salads - pro tip, top with steak cuz it's delicious and always cooked perfectly! Basically the whole menu is awesome, servers are almost always super friendly, if sometimes backed up and a little slow. Anyhow. My issue today is I'm sick. But still craving some of my faves. So I ordered off GrubHub. Order went through, was "in the works," etc etc. and appeared to be fully prepared. My driver gets there and is told (as I've been waiting an hour) that they don't "do GrubHub" on the weekends. I just... Then how did the order go through and charge my card?! Not cool. I'm sick and cranky and now have to figure out dinner, and I feel terrible for the GrubHub driver that was going to receive a handsome tip for their time which was now utterly wasted. Okay, I read all the reviews before going my first time. That's why I choose a Saturday afternoon. No pressure, no hurry, shouldn't be to crowded( it wasn't). I was interested in going after having read a Bio. of the Chef when he was part of a local cooking competition. Met at the door by Nicole and seated. Again it wasn't busy, so pretty much sat anywhere we wanted. After having explained the specials, Nicole made a point of letting us know that everything is made from scratch so preparation takes a little bit longer than McDonalds. Drinks ordered and received, entrees ordered and received in reasonable amount of time. THE FOOD: Outstanding! And if you have room the Beignets are must have. I didn't think I'd ever say this but, these are not Cafe Du Monde good. They're better. My experience, great service, great food, I will definitely be back. read more
