Nice place inside, clean and fresh, outdoor patios seating too, staff is nice and friendly and service is quality and quick. I had the baked french onion soup that was tasty with plenty of cheese, gator bites were fried well and juice with a good sweet/spicy sauce, Pot stickers were crispy with a soy type sauce. Menu is 1 page, but has plenty of choices, should be able to find something for everyone. Will be trying the wings next and then burgers. Can't get myself to try the caramelized frog legs, but a guy sitting at the bar loved them. New favorite restaurant for the area. read more

Nice patio view sit and enjoy some food and drinks. Nothing fancy it's clean inside where you can take your family or sit in the bar

We had 5 at our table for dinner. First thing we noticed was the many fruit flies at the table. We placed our order. First two dinners came out. Then 5 minutes later, the next two. The waitress said she would bring the fifth as soon as it was done. It was pasta with two breadsticks. The four of us were done eating and the pasta meal was brought out 10 minutes later. We were done eating. I pointed out that one breadstick was very browned and hard. She should have never brought it like that. I ordered the coconut shrimp which was clearly from a frozen box. Butterflied with a coating of no coconut and very flattened. Not worth $23. I expected the pretty shrimp they advertise in their Facebook pictures when they have $1 shrimp days. Coated whole shrimp with coconut in the batter. Very disappointed in so many ways. read more

I found this little spot on my travels and it was absolutely a great find! I happen to be lucky enough to be there on their bluegill special night so I indulged maybe even a little too much on some pan seared bluegill. The atmosphere was very welcoming most of the people there were locals who treated me like one of their own. I look forward to frequently stopping by any time I'm in the area. read more

Went there last weekend for the shrimp special. The food was excellent as was the service. It's high end bar food. I will definitely be going back. read more

Such a hidden gem with incredible food. We had the best lobster, salmon, and shrimp ravioli and bucatini pasta. Our toddler was not in the restaurant mood, but our server Sue was absolutely incredible and accommodating. She went above and beyond to help us have an enjoyable dining experience. We have been back a few times and are always so impressed with the food and service. Thanks again!! read more

I would even give 1 star! Don't ever go to this place. I have never in my life been to a place that was so racist. We were just a group of nurses going out to have a good time. We literally ordered 3 drinks and waffle fries considering we just got done eating at prime steak house in crown point. We sat in the corner minding our own business laughing with each other. 45 min later we asked about the fries and said we didn't need them because we were ready to go. They gave us issues about the fries and said they don't just let people order waffle fries. Well they didn't tell us that when the one person we were with ordered them. They were clearly on the menu! They even asked if we wanted Parmesan cheese on them even. The drinks were awful! I won't even say the cruel things people were saying about us. I am 42 and have never seen true racism until today. You hear about it but I have never experienced it. Me and my husband were thinking of moving to Lowell. Nope we will not ever move to this city after today. Never have I been out to eat and been flat out treated so rudely! Racial slurs were not even made at me, they were made at my best friend! Absolutely appalling! Update after the owner contacted me personally on Facebook! We called to let you know what happened and you did not give a crap. So we took it to Facebook and yelp! You personally did not overhear what people were saying about us. So don't act like you did. Never did I say anyone approached us directly like you said, since you want to throw camera footage info at me! At least you admitted the service sucked from the server because she barely stopped at our table after ordering! You clearly saw that in your camera footage. I'll tell you what was being said about us! My friend was looking directly at the people saying it to us before we left. People were saying "we don't serve people like that in our community. We keep our community very vanilla"! They were making fun of us! How dare you tell us we didn't hear what we heard. For you to call us liars and then tell me in the private message you sent me "it's clear this is not your spot"! (CLEARLY) and then you tell me "I hope you have the day you deserve"! You really are a horrible business! We were 4 very nice nurses out having a good time and didn't do anything to deserve the treatment we got! You as a business clearly didn't care at all! Your service was crappy and your drinks were terrible! We can't say if the food was terrible because you never brought it to our table. How dare you message me privately and call all 4 of us nurses liars! We should have stayed at place we were at in crown point! They know how to treat their customers and people don't make racist comments at us! Shame on you for making it seem like we did something wrong! You should apologize for what we went through! But nope you want to tell lies on yelp that it didn't happen! Your place is an absolute joke! read more

Went here last Monday only to face extreme disappointment. I was ready to get all my favorites from here and drop a cool $200.00. Instead this is the putrid menu we were given. Now keep in mind we were there for dinner, and got handed a lunch menu with shrimp and fish dinners adde. Really!!!? Who wants a wrap or burger for dinner? Not me! And check out the pirce for add ons to your burger! A dollar for mayo? Laughable. We paid for our drinks and walked out. I have been a patron of The Dam since day one and have watched it go down hill. This is the 4th time I have brought guests here and the 4th time to walk out. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would've. WORST SERVICE EVER! I don't understand how a facility would continue to serve customers who LOUDLY make racial slurs and disrespectful comments continuously the whole time we were there. I wonder why everyone else was getting service, but weren't. Hmmm, it's not that hard to figure out why the waitress never addressed us.. read more

This place use to be great until they got rid of the original cook. Now it's a bland, Way overpriced shell of its original self.

My 2 kids went here a few weeks ago got the mac&crab my 22y asked why it didn't have and crab and taste different. And was kinda told you don't know what your talking about. Way to treat your New up coming customers. Been going here for for about 12 years so I had to go see what's what and yes the food we got was off not as good as a few years ago. And mac&crab must be grounded up u can see any in it my other food was over cooked wife's chicken under cooked.....let's get back on track read more

Menu changed from last time I was here. That's a good thing. Was wondering if Bobby Flay was hired as the chef. Went with a group of 10 and everyone was blown away with the food. The wings were excellent! I had a flatbread that was delish. Truly a hidden gem. read more

I would definitely recommend, but MORGAN definitely helped my decision on returning because of attitude and ofcourse very easy on the eyes..thank you read more

Excellent service, excellent food! My husband had lake perch, fried & didn't even need melted butter for it. I had a bbq bacon chicken sandwich with tots. The chicken was juicy and the tots were perfectly crispy! Will definitely be back and strongly recommend! read more

Chicken wings were tasty and the Bloody Mary was a special treat! Sat on the patio and enjoyed the fresh air.

terrible service. They lose their mind. If they have more than 20 people ordered food waited an hour and a half forgot to put my order in, my wife's food set up at the window for 15 minutes before they finally give it to us then waited another five for silverware read more

My dad and I have been coming here for daddy-daughter date night for years. The waitresses are all amazing, and super kind. We will continue to come here for many more years read more

I love this place, but last Wednesday I was served the last 12 oysters they had and they were terrible and here's why? Because there were no fu@$ing oysters in them, only the Rockefeller. When I told the waitress she just laughed, smiled and said"thats probably why they were the last 12"...we all looked at each other like are you fu@$ing kidding us right now, no refund no nothing...what a joke...our family is done with Wednesday's there! read more

So dark in there could hardly read the menu. Floors looked dirty and dingy. Walleye came with only one side...coleslaw not even an option. Wanted to try it out before we brought out of town guests but took them elsewhere. read more

I cannot believe the nerve these people have. You used vulgar terms directly in the title?! How?! I took my children here!! They told their friends they went to the dam bar! How am I supposed to explain this to my ex wife? Next thing ya know my children will end up in jail, for reasons, like murder. Food was good though read more

Nice place for being a neighborhood dive bar. Quaint inside seating area with a really decent food menu. Small patio but it looked like there was an extension to the patio on the other side of the parking lot for overflow. We stopped in because it was literally within walking distance was pleasantly surprised with what we found. Service was solid and the drinks were reasonable. If I lived in the area I could definitely see myself frequenting this place often. Stop in if you live in the area...you'll become a regular pretty quick I'm sure. -McLovin read more

So it's New Years Day and my fridge is empty! After an hour of calling restaurants to see what's open, we find one! Not expecting much from a bar/restaurant I found myself raving! The food was full of flavor but on the down side, I didn't like how the restaurant is only divided from the bar by a half wall. And in the restaurant chairs are banquet style with zero padding! Ouch! But I'll be back for takeout. I recommend the alligator bits. read more

The food here is amazing! However, the service isn't great. Definitely worth the wait for the great food, but the service was frustrating- they were constantly busy going back and forth to tables but it didnt seem like a whole lot was being done. It took almost an hour from the time we ordered to the time we were served our entree- which they were busy but I didn't feel it was overly busy to justify the wait time.
