I am a fanatic for good sushi. This place from online and social looked like a great place to try…read more We went on a Saturday night around 8:30....we're in our thirties not 70 but no one was here. What I hate even more is that the staff is at the bar like cleaning up before the night ends - so there's this whole nice ambiance and experience that is missing and right away it feels like fast food - hurry up and get out. (Not their fault entirely) Regardless, we each ordered a drink a piece and then started with the Gyoza appetizer. IMO it was overcooked and burnt on the bottom, but not terribly so it was still edible. - but $14 poorer not smiling about it. Onto the entrees: I ordered two maki rolls the butterfly (this was really good imo just had a touch too much sauce. Then I also went with the Lobster Rock Special roll with lobster on top. The lobster was so overcooked and drenched in garlic sauce that it was almost inedible. It tasted like someone drizzled dominos garlic sauce all over it. WHY? Such good quality fish...let it shine. We also had ordered two additional plain rolls: shrimp tempura: your standard nothing special but edible. And then the sweet potato roll. However they give you some salted caramel glaze to go with it which makes this seem like a weird dessert - no good no way! Look - I could have ordered the wrong stuff. Just imo I'd spend my money elsewhere on expensive sushi. Sorry but this one was NOT a vibe.

I've had a lot of sushi in my time and this was probably if not the best one of the best I've ever had.. I also enjoyed the house salad. It comes with spiral shredded carrot slice of cucumber and coldest. I burn lettuce I've ever had. The ginger dressing was phenomenal.

The fried rice was well seasoned, the steak was tender, and the chicken wasn't dry. Portions were generous and filling. Service was attentive and organized, especially considering how busy it can get. The staff kept things moving smoothly and made sure drinks were refilled without having to ask. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable enough to enjoy a conversation. Overall, it's a dependable spot for good food and a fun dinner experience. I'd go back.

3/5 total - and they all go to the chefs. Service needs work…read more Sunday lunch here was a great choice though - no big crowds, immediate seating and quick food service. I chose to be seated at the sushi bar as I was dining alone, unfortunately, it was quite a wait for the server to come to me and grab an order. I was greeted with a water and a complimentary edamame appetizer, that was a nice touch and they were delicious. I was planning on ordering the "lunch special" and my fault, but I didn't notice it said M-F only. Immediately my server, Fifi, quickly pointed that out rather rudely and stood beside me tapping her pen while I browsed the menu instead of coming back to give me time to browse - it was odd and uncomfortable but I chose two sushi rolls and a glass of wine. My sushi came out before my drink, so I waited for my wine while I indulged in the most delicious sushi rolls, freshly made and the salmon and shrimp were very fresh. I ordered a Salmon Roll + Boston Roll. When my server came back I asked for a side of miso sauce. She frowned, looked puzzled, said no, and walked away. A few moments later I caught her attention and daid, it's on the menu, may I please get a side of it. Again she told me no, stating they don't have it, she brought me a menu and I pointed it out. A few minutes later the chefs at the sushi bar are talking to her and finally, I got a side of miso sauce, for a $2 up-charge (which I was expecting, and agreed to). Overall, the service was mediocre and it didn't feel friendly at all. She did check on me a couple of times but by no means was it exceptional or welcoming. At the end I received my tab to notice an automatic 18% gratuity/service fee added. I understand the service fee's, but the gratuity being included really is a bummer. Overall, the stars are for the chefs - the food and sauces was great, but the service needs some work and menu training to be more knowledgeable about what's offered
