Parking is not great in the area but side streets have some temporary street parking. Lots of great shops in the area. Almost always a line to get in. We got pork based and standard for everything else. Tea $2/person. Broth was okay, definitely could have used more. Noodles were good. Boyfriend liked the meat - I thought it was very average. Egg was good but costs extra. Seaweed costed extra but was great. Portion is a touch smaller than other places.

I've been to the all Danbo locations and have ordered the same bowl from each one many times. The bowl I got here felt short in terms of flavour just a little bit . ( I know, I know , I know - how can that be?) it's still good, don't get me wrong. It's just not the same profile as west 4th . I'm very picky with my ramen and I'm quite good with my palette to taste subtle changes. I would still eat here regardless. The service was great and the restaurant vibe is regular. Parking is horrendous though.

Been to Ramen Danbo's three other locations in Vancouver. First time checking out their North Van spot, a few doors from Mehman Restaurant. Busy on a weekend afternoon but no wait. Service was friendly and efficient. There's a regular and vegan menu (where you can ask for gluten free noodles). Ramen bowls are $12.45 to $13.95. You can signup for the digital stamp card to get free gyoza/ramen. - Half kaedama ($1.00) - Classic ramen ($12.45) with chashu-men ($6.00) - serviceable broth but pretty indifferent about it. Ordering it rich didn't add much umami. Noodles (extra firm) were well executed, standard chashu - Vegan classic ramen ($12.45) - fried tofu was bland, vegan broth was decent. GF noodles were solid and impressively, you don't get charged extra - Vegan shio ramen ($12.95) - Shio ramen ($12.95) with chashu-men ($6.00) and soft-boiled egg ($2.00)

This is an authentic Japanese ramen experience. It's not a big restaurant, it's meant for you to eat and get out like the real ramen shops in Japan. You might run into a queue outside but it might be worth the wait. Prices are very reasonable, less than $20 per bowl. I like that there are very little options on the menu, just how you like them cooked or how strong you want the flavour. You order by circling your preference on a piece of paper. I would not recommend this place if your goal is to lounge and chat for a few hours. They were quick with service and on a Thursday night, we ate, paid and left in about 40 minutes.

I'm so psyched a Ramen Danbo opened in my neighborhood so naturally we just had to go and try it! We went at 12:30 and got the last table for 2. They are friendly but immediately give you either the pork or the vegan order form. Tip: bowls only come with green onions and not much else. You can customize your ramen thickness, richness of broth and a couple other things including spiciness. My bowl was pretty good. Just a tiny kick to it, the broth was rich and flavourful but not intense. Loved the garlic sesame of the nori goma. The thin noodles were perfect to my liking. The egg was perfect, just a tiny bit soft and runny. The added mushrooms and chashu were great too. The mentaiko side of rice was great. We also got gyoza which was just OK. Overall would definitely come here. One of at least two great ramen options on the North Shore!!

I had my eye on this place since before it even opened. Always been a huge fan of Ramen Danbo. Tonight we finally managed to get out and try it. So happy that they have this branch in North Vancouver now. It's a much better location for us. Three people in our party ordered ramen bowls with meat in them, and I ordered a Vegan ramen bowl. I added a Vegan egg and some vegan gyoza as well. I love how they give you a sheet where you can choose different options to customize your bowl. (ie. how spicy you'd like it, how thick you'd like your noodles, how rich you'd like your broth...etc.) One area that could be improved upon is the wording on the order sheet that they hand out. There was some confusion in our group when filling it out as to whether the regular bowls of ramen would come with meat in the bowl already. A couple of people ticked off boxes on the order sheet indicating that they'd like meat put into their bowls because they were under the impression that their bowls would not have any meat in them. It turned out that there was already meat in their bowls, so by ticking off the boxes on their order forms they actually ended up with extra meat in their bowls, which was quite a bit more than they wanted to eat. The vegan egg was just OK. Nothing to write home about, but it wasn't bad either. I mean...considering it's not a real egg I think it was a fairly impressive imitation. Not sure what it was made of. The egg white part was quite impressive. The yolk...that was more on the "meh" side. Quite runny. Ramen Danbo's vegan gyoza never fails to impress me. I love their vegan gyoza at every branch I go to, and this one was no exception. The bowl of vegan broth and noodles was also just as tasty as usual. Oh, and I love how the black box they give you to sit on can open up and act as a storage box, so you can put things like handbags into it! Overall, still a very enjoyable meal as it usually is at any Ramen Danbo we go to. Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street

Amazing Ramen which you can customize! So flavorful, different thickness of noodles, and the gyoza were all the best! I ordered the thin which was very thin ramen noodles. My wife ordered thick noodles. They were good...a bit thicker than the usual ramen noodles but not like wide fat udon like noodles. We both got the rich broth and mine had the spicy added...which wasn't spicy really. The gyoza were amazing whether veggie or pork. The staff were all perfect and sprung to life as I yelled "Oishii Desu" while leaving. I really felt like we were back in Japan again! Till my Suica card couldn't be used to pay... The seating felt close but yet still had plenty of room to be comfortable. The service was top notch and really stands up to serving with pride and honor.

Yes! Just say yes! If you like ramen then this is one of the best you'll find in the city and that's not just my opinion, they've been voted best. Even if you need to line up you won't be waiting long as the turn around is pretty quick. You'll be given an ordering ticket with a few ways to customize your meal such as how well done you want your noodles, how thick and rich the broth will be, toppings added and sides. They pretty much only do one thing here and they do it well! They have vegan or pork options too. I can only imagine this is as authentic as it can get here in Vancouver as to how's it's done in Japan. I'm any case, we're so glad they've opened a branch in North Van and I can't wait to go back!

Really delicious ramen! Line moved fast and the service was quick. Kaedama came in both a full and half order which I thought was cool.

We're always happy with the food and atmosphere at this place. Just that it wasn't our original plan... Anyways, Mom and I both decided to go for a value meal which comes with a choice of Ramen, a side of either meat or veggie gyoza, and a drink. Mom had Chicken Ramen, Veggie gyoza and a Ginger Ale while I had Veggie Ramen, Veggie Gyoza and a Fuze Iced Tea. Mom's Gyoza came with dipping sauce on the side. When I ordered mine though, the server asked if it was OK for the sauce to be drizzled on top of the Gyoza. I didn't realize that the alternative was to have the sauce on the side as a separate container. If he'd mentioned that option, I would have probably chosen to have it the same way that it was given to my mom. He apparently never asked my mom about having the sauce drizzled on top. Hers just came on the side by default. The Value meal was the same price as ordering a bowl of Ramen all by itself from the A la Carte menu. I think I figured out the difference though. You get the Gyoza appetizer and drink with the value meal, which you don't get if you order your Ramen noodles a la carte. However, you get less stuff in your Ramen bowl when you order it as a value meal. My Original Veggie Ramen had only Inari Tofu and scallions on top of my Ramen. The description of it on the a la carte menu though describes it as having bamboo shoots, nori, sweet corn and wood ear mushrooms in it. So...it's a matter of whether you want more variety in your bowl of ramen, or more variety of food dishes altogether.

I loved the taste. Everything about it was on point, and the noodles were not only fresh, but perfectly cooked. The space itself had great Feng Shui, spacing, decor and vibe, and the young lady that served us was friendly, attentive and helpful. As we sat by the window watching the rain drops hurry down the glass with our stomachs growling....our Ramen arrived. The Beef Original did lack a bit of salt. The Spicy Beef Garlic was very good, but there just was not enough soup, so we asked for more soup. This was actually the case with both the Ramen. Not enough soup. However, they generously gave us separate bowls of added soup. This is a testament to their level of stellar customer service, and my mentioning it is only meant for improvement..... For this already cool place.

Paid parking was not too hard to find on the Main Street but during busy dining hours it might be difficult. We got seated right away at the bar since there were no tables open and the service was quick. Traditional Japanese style ambiance and even the bathroom had rounded Japanese bowl sink. As someone who doesn't have chicken broth (paitan style) ramen, I was really looking forward to the original ramen I ordered but I was a bit disappointed in the flavor profile of the dish. The ramen had both chasu and seaweed paired with thin round noodles. The broth was creamy and had a hint of chicken flavor but even adding several rounds of their soy sauce/salt seasoning they have on the side to adjust your broth to your liking-- I found that the richness of the soup was not what I had expected from the reviews that I read prior to coming here. Overall, a bit disappointed in the flavoring of the broth but maybe we came on an off day. I would be willing to give it a shot again in the future if I had ramen cravings and given that it was very affordable ($11-15 per bowl with tip), but I would probably opt to try another place first.

Review #3 for 2026 I…read morereally wanted to like this place. I watched many videos and read reviews before coming here, but it just did not hit the spot. After a cold day of exploring Stanley Park, we felt that ramen would really hit the spot, so we went here not wanting to deal with a wait at Danbo with a hungry and tired toddler. There was NO wait when we arrived here and we were seated immediately... which for a place that was really hyped up, should had made us think twice. There was only 1 other party at the restaurant. Now, the workers were super nice and the food came out quickly and we did eat everything because we were starving. We all ordered the cha-shu tamago ramen, 2 of us got spicy and 2 of us non-spicy. It came with extra chashu and the soft boiled egg for about $20 Canadian. The bowl was a good size and there was a promo for free extra noodles while we were there. Everyone except me in our group took advantage of it because I was too full from my bowl. Now, the broth here is different from other places because it is chicken based and not pork based. Everything I had seen about this place promised the broth is every bit just as good as the pork bone broth... however, the broth we received looked flavorful, but was bland. It was completely bland. There was no richness to it, not even a hint. I don't know, coming from southern California, the flavor just was not there period. We did all eat our food because we were starving, but it for sure did not hit the spot at all. Maybe we got an off day? Otherwise our broth had literally zero flavor to it. We all wished we had tried the other ramen place instead right after trying our ramen. Would I come back? I will have to say definitely no. We do not live in Vancouver and I do not want to waste any meals on a place that did not taste good the first time we went.
