The view is BEAUTIFUL LIKE BREATH TAKING but the food is so blah like no flavor. It's not someplace I would return too unless I wanted to see the view again

My family and I had dinner at Rainbow Room on the Fourth of July. I made a reservation for our party of 3 for 8 PM, in hopes that we could catch the fireworks during or after dinner. Rainbow Room is located inside the Lake Powell Resort. It's right by the water. Parking is plentiful. We were greeted and seated right away by the window, which was perfect. We had a great view of the lake and red rock formations, but it seems like there's no bad view from any seat in the restaurant. Our server was friendly and quick to respond. We ordered the following items: Espresso martini $15 Lobster and Shrimp Ceviche $25 Shrimp Risotto $30 Porcini Mushroom Fettuccine $18 + chicken $7 10 oz NY Strip $45 Chocolate lava cheesecake Honestly, the food and drinks were 3/5. Nothing tasted bad, but nothing tasted amazing either. It was also a bit overpriced. However, the portions were generous which my teenager loved. We were able to watch the sunset and catch the start of the fireworks while at dinner. Highly recommend making a reservation around sunset if you're in the area!

This place only gets 3 stars because of the view. We did the buffet brunch. It's a cattle call! Giant tour busses come through to the equivalent of a Holiday Inn breakfast with an omelet station, which is the only saving grace. I would recommend going into Page and having breakfast there and skipping this place all together.

Views are 12/10 and the food was very very tasty a bit pricier but I mean with this view? Obviously you can see why! Service was awesome our waitress was super lovely and I enjoyed myself my parents paid so obviously it's fine with me haha!

Unfortunately we drove all the way here, however we didn't eat. Made reservations for breakfast, but since there was no breakfast menu online, I tried calling to ask, but no answer. Upon arriving, we discovered its an All-You-Can-Eat breakfast buffet for $27 a person. Since no one greeted us at the counter, I just walked in to see what's offered. It's scrambled eggs, bacon, and croissants. They do not offer single menu items. Since no one still didn't greet us, we decided to leave and simply took pictures outside, enjoying the great views of Lake Powell. We ate back at Page, AZ. Like many reviews said, this place is unfortunately understaffed. I suggest they provide a breakfast menu to be viewable online. The only online menu is for dinner. TIP: It's $10 per vehicle to enter the area.

I've been here a couple times but my favorite was the thanksgiving dinner buffet. Really nice for those of us in the area that don't have family and friends to spend the day with. The food was awesome and worth the cost. The view was incredible. The guys working that day were really kind and of course there was plenty of seating. There is also a lot of parking and nice clean restrooms.

Enjoyed my dining experience here with my husband. We made reservations ahead of time which I highly recommend because I watched several people get turned away for not having reservations. We were greated and seated right on time. Our server Guy, was welcoming and helpful. The complementary corn muffins were delicious. I ordered the Farro and Roasted Squash Salad with grilled chicken and my husband ordered the Grilled Pork Porterhouse. We both very much enjoyed our meals. The menu was a little pricey but it was a nice dining experience with a lovely view of Lake Powell. Overall I would definitely come back!

We went for appetizers and cocktails. Our appetizers were pretty good, the view is very pretty, and our waitress was very friendly. Please be cautious and pay attention to your bill, another tables drink was on our bill.

We ate in the bar area right before it got super busy, so I did see some people after us with issues getting their orders on time before cruises. But my family and I had a great experience. View was great, food came out fast, bartender was nice. Only complaint is that they don't open up the full rainbow room until 5pm, which sucks if you want to pop in for some nice views and food before your cruise since the bar area is pretty small for the amount of people coming and going.

We drove into town for a weekend getaway trip and wanted to have one "nice" meal. After extensive research, I decided on Rainbow Room because of the lake views of the place. While it did look nice inside, we arrived quite late so it was too dark to enjoy the views of outside. Service was unnecessarily slow for late service. There weren't that many diners and we felt like we were perpetually waiting for something - to order, for our drinks, our food, and the check. Maybe I had too high of expectations but it ended up being our least memorable meal of the weekend. Nothing stood out and made me want to come back. Not worth the price and wait.

Terrible management and the food lacks flavor and is overpriced. I would give it a minus one if Yelp would let me.

We decided on Gone West Family Restaurant based on their solid reviews and we thought that American food (especially with a Western theme) would be the way to go. When in Rome! We stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. Parking is easy in the complimentary lot they share with several other businesses including a Chinese restaurant right next door. Ambiance (4.5/5): Pretty much what I was hoping for. Gone West is a spacious restaurant with one large dining room and another large dining room. The difference? The one in the back has a stage where they play live music. So, if you want a quieter atmosphere, choose the first room. If you want to enjoy some live music while you dine and drink, choose the back room. We sat in the back room. A band played various covers while we were there which we enjoyed. The decor is also awesome with a lot of Western and country decor including John Wayne, Johnny Cash, and more. Service (4/5): The hostess was super nice and accommodating which was a nice way to kick off the experience. Our waiter was pretty solid. He could have stopped by a little more frequently, but overall, did quite well. Drinks (4/5): I went with an Arnold Palmer (they only had pink lemonade unfortunately) so not a lot to right home about. With that being said, they have a decent beer list and several cocktails. Food (5/5): I went with the Chicken fried steak sandwich with spiral fries. CFS on a sandwich?! I couldn't say no. Country fried steak is one of my favorite Southern dishes, but I've never had it on a sandwich before. Check out their concept: breaded steak on a bed of mashed potatoes topped with green onions, gravy, and a fried egg with your choice of side. This was a great sammie! It was quite messy, but given how delicious it was, I didn't mind. The fries were delicious too, and it was a generous portion. The type of portion where you can easily have leftovers. Everything I was hoping for and more in this dining experience. While the food options in Page aren't vast (and as impressive as larger cities), Gone West should be at the top of your list!

It was an experience for sure! Just not the best. The menu on the website lists a number of steak options. None of these were on the menu we were presented. When we asked about the lack of steak we were told that the restaurant no longer has a head cook who can handle steak. The place is divey with a fly issue. The food was Denny style so and passable at best. . Our bill was almost $50 with tip for pulled pork sandwich which was on the chunky side and not shredded. I had the patty melt with sweet potato fries. Ok can't mess that up. Once served the cook in the back had a huge coughing fit which was turning my stomach, Boxed up my leftovers which is undetermined whether I will eat. Got the heck out of dodge. I'm sure at one point this place was popular. I would love to see them return to their glory days, but perhaps not anytime soon. Sad! I might add we drove from Page, AZ so almost an hour drive. Very hungry and not many choices we chose to give it a shot.

I ate several dinners and a breakfast when I stayed and loved everything I had. I tried the River Raft'n Tacos with grilled fish one night - it comes with 3 tacos full of supple chunks of perfectly grilled fish and chips and salsa on the side. The tacos were just a tad bland but still delicious and the side of salsa added the extra flavor I needed. My other dinner was one of their specials - the Southwest burger with a side of onion rings and veggie soup. This was fantastic!! The burger was flawless and tasty (not too spicy) and the onion rings were positively massive and delicious as well. The veggie soup was a bit spicy but still flavorful and hit the spot. For my breakfast I had the Horseshoe Breakfast which comes with two eggs, toast, home fries or fruit, and I chose ham for my meat. It was a great start to the day and their in-house coffee is really nice. Their unique dessert offering - the Avocado Pie - is a must when you visit!! It's light, creamy, and not overly sweet with a hint of citrus. It's like a mild key lime pie sort of and I loved it - would definitely get again. They have some traditional indoor seating as well as a patio that has garage style doors that they can open for an al fresco dining option. Decor gives off 70s diner vibes and they have really cool Grand Canyon/Colorado River paintings on the walls. All the staff were attentive and helpful - even with our large rowdy group the night before our rafting trip!

We shared calamari and we are calamari snobs. I wasn't expecting anything great but it really, really was. The crunchy (fresh?) batter was cooked perfectly crispy and the squid meat was not tough. They served it on top of sliced pepperocini, which we kept using throughout the meal. The sauce was delicious too. Now any chef/cook can have an off day, but if the oil is the right temp and they stick to a prescribed fry time, you should experience the same great result. My husband had the Reuben, and he is a Reuben snob. The thickly julienned corned beef made for a little bit of messy eating, but he said it was good. His sweet potato waffle fries were crisp and not too sweet. They stayed crisp throughout the meal. I believe these were frozen but they chose a great product to offer for one of their sides. No shame in a good, coated, crisp, frozen sweet potato waffle fry. I had the desert dipper (French dip to many of us.) It was topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions and the aus jus was really delicious. Not too salty and with a rich flavor without being oily. Again, a product which I would be shocked it if wasn't purchased, but they made a great choice! It doesn't rely on salt, which many chefs turn to to cover less-than-stellar food. My side was a side salad. Mixed mesclun lettuces (with the occasional wilted, icky looking leafs) that made either this batch of lettuce one day past it's prime or needed to be gone through a little closer. The salad was topped with a generous portion of very fresh cucumbers, carrot shreds, cherry tomatoes, cheese and croutons. I was pleased with the overall quality and presentation of that simple side salad. In our previous trip my husband had the quite-curated turkey sandwich and he said it was very good. I just had the truffle Parmesan fries which, like the waffle fries, were crispy and very good

Would I stop again? For the scenery, probably. It's worth grabbing a table just to soak in those incredible lake views. Sometimes the view is the star of the meal, and today it definitely stole the show.
