The food itself was yummy and just enough portions! The honey butter flavor was so delicious along with their sauces. The outside does get pretty hot so definitely recommend getting a spot inside in the AC if you can on a hot day
Enjoyed the casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and, most importantly, the flavorful chicken. I prefer chicken breast even though white meat can generally taste dry. But this place nails it- the chicken was tender and juicy with perfectly crisp exterior. I didn't get to try the original but was nonetheless very pleased with the spicy chicken sandwich and the salad with honey butter chicken. The fries alone were just ok but salvaged by their homemade sauces. Overall, I left very happy with the meal and grateful this exists for the town. Thank you to the kitchen and wait staff for a tasty, enjoyable experience.
Came highly recommended by Owen at the Lake Powell kayaking. Great friendly staff and we had the most amazing wings and tender. They were delicious!! We wanted to take some back to Jersey. I highly recommend to stop here on your travels!!
Chicken was dry and overcooked, burnt actually. It had no flavor, it was like no seasoning on it at all. I do not recommend this place!!!
Delicious and tasty chicken. Love this spot. Outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of options. And many types of drinks. The chicken and or chicken sandos were all full of flavor. Aides are also fabulous. Great vibe with fast service.
While I wouldn't say BirdHouse is quite as amazing/special as all the reviews suggest, it is certainly very good and popular for good reason. The menu is a bit limited (just varieties of chicken basically), and I went with the Chicken Sandwich. It was pretty standard with fried chicken, pickles, and sauce and I will say, the chicken was really nicely crispy and very juicy/tender. Also, it was only $10 - very hard to find those kinds of prices around these days. The restaurant has a small parking lot, but a decent amount of seating. There is a nice outdoor seating area, where we were sat. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The service speed is also decent. With these good prices and tasty chicken, it's tough to ask for much more from a place like this. Great choice for a chill/casual meal in Page.
This is a must try spot in Page!! The chicken is so good, and their prices are incredibly reasonable (great value!). Very cute outdoor covered patio, with inside seating as well. Service was fast and friendly (the best kind). Of the items on their menu, you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich (I had the honey butter). After ordering, I heard the sandwich with honey butter and extra spicy is a huge hit. Safe to say that's what I'll be trying next time!
Easily the best meal I've had in Arizona. After a long day in the sun exploring the canyon and Horseshoe Bend, my boyfriend and I were extremely hungry, so we were excited to find a chicken spot nearby. Not just any chicken place, but one that had been highly praised by reviewers online, so we had to try it. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the fries were well seasoned, though a little on the harder side, and the mac and cheese was one of the best I've ever had, super creamy and delicious. I really enjoyed this meal. The price was reasonable for the portion size, and this is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone visiting.

The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were hits at the table! Gave the donut holes a chance and they were more cakey than donut in texture but still satisfied our dessert craving. Highly recommend checking them out.

The chicken was tender and juicy on the inside with a crispy exterior, making the skin especially satisfying. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Lots of seating, good ambiance. Overall, everything was well executed, flavorful, and enjoyable. Definitely a spot worth checking out.
Heard great things about the "famous" fried chicken and cold beer. After a long day of adventuring on the lake and in the canyons, this did not disappoint. I had the half bird and did part spicy and part honey butter I had the broccoli salad as my side. The chicken was juicy with a great crunch / crisp. I also liked the ranch / honey mustard sauces. They have a select number of beers to choose from. You order from the counter and then they will bring it out to you. Fast casual type of service so you have get up and get what you need. Seating outside is really nice. Definitely recommend as a good meal to refuel.
Walking into Birdhouse, a converted drive-through restaurant, at 6PM, we were greeted with a short line wrapping around the order counter. It moves pretty quickly since the menu, full of fried chicken and staple sides, isn't too complicated. Birdhouse is a counter service establishment so the food doesn't take very long at all to cook and assemble. In our case it took only about 10 minutes. Thigh + Leg, Original ($11) - Instead of the advertised thigh and leg, the meal came with 3 pieces of chicken - one leg and 2 thighs! It wasn't just us; I saw other customers also getting three pieces. Finally a restaurant that underpromises and overdelivers! The breading on the chicken is a really dark golden brown, initially making me assume it was overfried. Biting into the breading, a really strong crunch shatters on the teeth. It's a hard crunch vs. the crisp that a normal fried chicken skin exhibits. Perhaps they enhance the mixture with rice flour and evercrisp? It's really quite amazing especially with how thin the breading looks. Even with the dark color, the interior remains moist and juicy; in fact, upon my first bite, a stream of chicken juice shot up onto my glasses! The meat has clearly been brined as it's super flavorful, and there's plenty of salt and pepper mixed into the breading to add even more oomph. The fat is rendered nicely and everything is served piping hot. They really know what they are doing with their chicken! A meal comes with one side of which we went with the Seasoned Fries. These are crinkle cut fries sprinkled with seasoning salt. The fry level isn't the most even, with some pieces being a little more dried out, but most still having tender interiors. I'd probably go with a different side in the future. (5/5) Thigh + Leg, Honey Butter ($11) - I believe this is literally the same fried chicken but with honey butter melted over the top. It adds some richness and sweetness, but is otherwise the same excellent fried chicken. For the side with this meal, we went with the Broccoli Salad w/ Bacon. It's pieces of crunchy raw broccoli mixed with tiny pieces of bacon in a light creamy dressing with a bit of sweetness. (5/5) Birdhouse makes their sauces in house which they supply for most orders. The first is their special honey mustard which, as the name implies, is sweet and mustardy. The second is a buttermilk ranch, creamy and tangy. It's very fresh and seems to have fresh herbs mixed in. After several days eating bland (but very fresh!) food in the Navajo Nation, we finally had a meal with actual seasoning! We were impressed enough that we went back the next day to try the final chicken flavor. This time it was earlier at 5PM and for some reason the line was even longer! Yet it took less than 5 minutes for the food to arrive. Thigh + Leg, Spicy ($11) - The base chicken is the same texture and flavor as above. The only difference is a liberal dusting of cayenne pepper spice mixture on top. They don't use any hot oil, so it's only dry spice on the outside, applied right after frying so it all sticks on. The powder is spicy enough to heat up the mouth and lips, but isn't enough to get me sweating at all. I'd compare to something between mild and medium at a hot chicken shop. There's just a hint of sweetness in the mixture - I actually wished it was boosted up a bit more. Still great fried chicken though! (5/5) Birdhouse really serves some great fried chicken. Reasonably priced, delicious food, great portions, there's not much more I could ask for. It was so good that we ended up eating here both nights we stayed in Page! Bathrooms - Single unisex room outside on the back side of the restaurant.
I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich from Birdhouse! But what especially stood out was the honey butter flavor that I got for the chicken. I felt like the sauce was the standout. I also like the portion as well! I had it with the fries as well, but didn't feel like the fries stood out.
Legit some of the best chicken I've had, little crispy and super juicy inside. They also had some sauces to try. This place is very divey/hole in the wall vibes, very fast and friendly service for a reasonable price. Definitely worth a try while here in Page, AZ with no reservations (Pun intended) read more
Loved this place!!!! The fried chicken was so flavorful and crispy. My family and I ordered the #7 - 12 piece with a few sides. You can pick what flavor you want your chicken, we did half spicy and half honey butter. The spicy was actually spicy haha. Both flavors were really good and I'm glad I got a mix of both! This was a good amount for my family of 5 plus a few sides. All the sides were equally as good and we even went back up for a couple more sides. You order inside at the counter and they bring the food out to you. There's seating indoor and outdoors. read more

This is a must try spot in Page!! The chicken is so good, and their prices are incredibly reasonable (great value!). Very cute outdoor covered patio, with inside seating as well. Stumbled upon Birdhouse while passing through town, and I'm so glad we did. The chicken at this rustic, walk-up-and-order spot was fantastic. We tried both the original and spicy chicken tenders, and both were excellent. Also, don't skip the crispy seasoned french fries -- a must. Can't wait to stop by again. read more

I stopped by for lunch after visiting antelope canyon after being recommended it by a friend. This place was 10/10. The fried chicken was crispy and hot. Service was quick and they brought my meal out to the table once it was ready. I ordered half honey butter and half spicy. I preferred the honey over the spicy but both were good. There was a small station with condiments, utensils and water. The parking lot was kind of small and would be a little tricky if you had a large truck. read more
Like many folks, I was in Page, Arizona to visit Lower Antelope Canyon and the tour group I joined had selected BirdHouse as our lunch stop. I did look them up before getting here and am a fan of chicken sandos. Since I was there in December, our tour guide phoned in our orders ahead of time so he can grab the food for us to eat in the van as he continued to drive in order to maximize daylight as we still needed to hit Horseshoe Bend after Antelope Canyon. But, still got the try both the honey butter and spicy chicken sandos. Wish we had fries too but the sandos are a good size and I'd say that the honey butter was better tasting than the spicy sando. read more

If you find yourself in Page and craving some seriously good fried chicken, Birdhouse is the spot. The chicken here is awesome-- juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they take pride in their seasoning; the rub had just the right blend of spice and depth without overpowering the meat. And that crisp! The skin had that ideal crunch that stayed light. I also really enjoyed the broccoli salad -- fresh, lightly dressed, and a great balance to the richness of the chicken. On top of that, the food came out quick, hot, and fresh, even during a busy period. Overall, Birdhouse hits all the marks: quick service, incredible flavor, and some of the crispiest fried chicken you'll find in northern Arizona. Very moist fried chicken, and you can see that most clearly in the chicken breast piece. Chicken stays crispy for quite a long time. Though I still think New Orleans fried chicken is better. They have 3 flavors: chili, original, and honey butter, but original and honey butter taste the same imo. Their house sauce is good, has a hint of honey mustard. Fries is okay but mac n cheese is not good. Their individual piece portion actually has 2 pieces, at least for thigh and tender. read more
If I could rate 6 stars I would! This place is unbelievably good. I would definitely be coming back to this place whenever I visit the area. The chicken was so moist and tender. The seasoning was all very good. Also, the staff here was super nice and pleasant to be around. we had two people in our party and we ate 1/2 chicken with fries and a side of the chicken sandwich. They provide you all different kinds of sauces like honey mustard, ranch, ketchup, hot sauce. We were a little hesitant to try the honey butter flavor at first, but we were so glad we did! It's sweet and savory, similar to chicken and waffles. It did not disappoint! The chicken sandwich was better than Chick-fil-A sandwich or Popeyes sandwich. Our family stopped here for lunch post-hiking all day. Kids loved the chicken strips and fries. The fried chicken is perfectly done--lightly seasoned, lightly battered and fried. So good. We tried coleslaw, Mac and cheese, broccoli salad, and pickled cucumbers and veggies. All sides were freshly made and delicious. This place was busy but food came quickly, it was clean and staff were friendly and attentive. Perfect low key, casual spot for the family! read more
This place wasn't bad. Was open late. The chicken was nice and crunchy! I got 2 of their house made ranch, and they were good!! The fries were a bit sad, the chicken comes out crunchy but the fries were not crunchy at all. The donut holes were awesome! The warm jelly is the best dip IMO. Stopped by BirdHouse in Page, AZ, one of the two main food stops I had planned for my trip and it absolutely blew my mind. Food: I ordered the chicken sandwich with BirdHouse sauce, and it was easily one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had anywhere in the U.S. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the sauce tied everything together perfectly, and the mac and cheese on the side was decent and comforting. It's the kind of meal that leaves you wishing this place was closer to home. Service: The service system was efficient, with staff bouncing around constantly cleaning and checking on tables. Everyone seemed friendly and on top of things, keeping the place running smoothly even during busy hours. Aesthetic: BirdHouse has an awesome setup with both indoor and outdoor seating areas that feel open and relaxed. The mix of casual vibes and clean design makes it a great place to sit back and enjoy some seriously good food. read more
I looooooove a restaurant that has chicken that's actually SOOO good, and BirdHouse does just that! I ordered the four tenders and fries, with one of each flavor for the tenders. They were all great, but I genuinely thought the regular was the best, and the spicy really wasn't all that good. The fries were also amazing, I tried some regular and some seasoned, both were equally good but seasoned might have a slight edge. The service could be better. I ordered via the website and picked up in the restaurant. There isn't a dedicated area to pick up your order, so you have to wait in line with everyone else ordering, while your food is sitting there getting cold. They also randomly gave us an entire order that wasn't ours... Not too bothersome, but I think the order pickup process could be improved. If I'm ever in Page again, I will definitely come back here for at least one meal. Sooooo tasty! read more

Alright you guys, this was our best food experience in Page and one of the best fried chicken experiences ever! If you have one place to check out in Page, this is it. The restaurant has a shack/drive in vibe to it. They have parking all around and I bet it can become busy enough to find a spot. We came here on Sunday afternoon and found a spot quite easily. You order at the counter and then take a seat. All the servers are friendly and quick with service. We ordered the half chicken (leg, thigh, breast, wing) with spicy seasoning and seasoned fries. For two people, this is plenty. The other parties were ordering waaay more food and ended up taking quite a bit home. The fried chicken came fresh off the fryer. It was very very very good - thin crunchy breading, well-cooked soft chicken on the inside and the seasoning wasn't too spicy. They give you a sweet mayo based and a savory mayo based sauce with the chicken too. When they say half chicken, they mean half chicken exactly. Everything on the leg, thigh, breast and wing is yours to eat! The fries were decent too, but we would have liked more spice on them. Our price tag was like $18 with taxes for two people. We were super full at the end of the meal. We loved the vibe. We loved the food. We loved everything about this small but super successful joint. I wish you guys were in my hometown, but I also don't because I would never eat anything else! The only major drawback is that they only have canned beer, nothing on draft. Having said that, the Grand Canyon Brewery is right across the road, so it isn't like you can't grab a drink there. read more

If you're looking for a spot to eat after exploring Antelope Canyon area this spot is it! We got the chicken platter to share and it filled up 4 of us to the brim. They also serve beer so it's the perfect afternoon lunch spot! Chicken was delicious, the hot and the honey were our two favorite flavors. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered a 12 piece for 3- honey butter and original with Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and seasoned fries sides. Everything was rlly flavorful and tasty. Service was quick despite it being crowded. Definitely filled us up especially after a full day of hiking. read more
This place has the highest amount of stars in Page so we had to try it out. It's easy to find with the large chicken in the front! We got in and were greeted right away and she told us how to order. Very friendly and helpful. I got the honey butter tenders with pickles on the side. My husband got the spicy leg and thigh I think. He also got a regular flavor leg and thigh. All were very good. However, I might have liked the original flavor the best! They also give two dressings which are great to dip your fries and chicken in. The homemade pickles of carrots and cucumber were so good too. This is a very simple menu but you can tell they do it well. Glad we got to try this place out! read more

While at the Glen Caynon VC, we asked a ranger where he would recommend to go for a late lunch. He referred us to the Bird House and said ask for "Eddie's Special". From the moment we walked in, we noticed this place was different. They had the glass jars filled with spices all along the window seal, which we later found out they use to make their Bird sauce and Ranch from scratch. YUMM!! The customer service was superb. They were super friendly and helpful. Checking in on us to make sure we liked what we had and if we needed anything. To top it off, the place was super clean inside and out. They even have the "To Go bags" labeled to go with the two different size take home boxes. It's the little things that they did that were impressive! Oh and "don't" eat the fries with Bird Sauce...unless you want to be come addicted and order more. But seriously, the fries are seasoned perfectly and the chicken....just sell your home and move to Page permanently!! Seriously want good food?! Come here!!! We ordered the 4 piece and a sandwich Eddie's Special, with side of fries & broccoli salad AND the donut holes!! The chicken is crispy and seasoned so completely, not an empty spot to be found. The sandwich came with 3 huge tenders, that's made from the chicken breast. Again seasoned to perfection. Your taste buds will be left wanting for more when you leave, but your belly will be full. The only thing I would add is some Prickly Pear Lemonade (for us sober folks) and prickly pear dipping sauce for the donuts! read more

Stopped by while we were in the area, we found out from our anltelope canyon kayak tour guide that this place is ranked 4th in the country for their fried chicken, and 1st in Page Arizona. Place is clean and has plenty of parking outside and plenty of seating inside and outside. Ordered the salad with chicken, the chicken is moist and flavorful. Also ordered 1/2 a chicken which came with 4 to 5 pieces mixed white and dark meat, all juicy, all flavorful, and all with such satisfyingly crispy skin. Staff were super friendly. The crinkle fries with light seasoning are fantastic, the mashed potatoes were good but I did find out they're from a box. The macaroni has 4 cheeses and frito lay chip crisps on top. All in all, I definitely recommend trying this place. read more
