The food itself was yummy and just enough portions! The honey butter flavor was so delicious along with their sauces. The outside does get pretty hot so definitely recommend getting a spot inside in the AC if you can on a hot day
Came highly recommended by Owen at the Lake Powell kayaking. Great friendly staff and we had the most amazing wings and tender. They were delicious!! We wanted to take some back to Jersey. I highly recommend to stop here on your travels!!
Enjoyed the casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and, most importantly, the flavorful chicken. I prefer chicken breast even though white meat can generally taste dry. But this place nails it- the chicken was tender and juicy with perfectly crisp exterior. I didn't get to try the original but was nonetheless very pleased with the spicy chicken sandwich and the salad with honey butter chicken. The fries alone were just ok but salvaged by their homemade sauces. Overall, I left very happy with the meal and grateful this exists for the town. Thank you to the kitchen and wait staff for a tasty, enjoyable experience.
Delicious and tasty chicken. Love this spot. Outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of options. And many types of drinks. The chicken and or chicken sandos were all full of flavor. Aides are also fabulous. Great vibe with fast service.
Chicken was dry and overcooked, burnt actually. It had no flavor, it was like no seasoning on it at all. I do not recommend this place!!!
While I wouldn't say BirdHouse is quite as amazing/special as all the reviews suggest, it is certainly very good and popular for good reason. The menu is a bit limited (just varieties of chicken basically), and I went with the Chicken Sandwich. It was pretty standard with fried chicken, pickles, and sauce and I will say, the chicken was really nicely crispy and very juicy/tender. Also, it was only $10 - very hard to find those kinds of prices around these days. The restaurant has a small parking lot, but a decent amount of seating. There is a nice outdoor seating area, where we were sat. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The service speed is also decent. With these good prices and tasty chicken, it's tough to ask for much more from a place like this. Great choice for a chill/casual meal in Page.
This is a must try spot in Page!! The chicken is so good, and their prices are incredibly reasonable (great value!). Very cute outdoor covered patio, with inside seating as well. Service was fast and friendly (the best kind). Of the items on their menu, you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich (I had the honey butter). After ordering, I heard the sandwich with honey butter and extra spicy is a huge hit. Safe to say that's what I'll be trying next time!
Easily the best meal I've had in Arizona. After a long day in the sun exploring the canyon and Horseshoe Bend, my boyfriend and I were extremely hungry, so we were excited to find a chicken spot nearby. Not just any chicken place, but one that had been highly praised by reviewers online, so we had to try it. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the fries were well seasoned, though a little on the harder side, and the mac and cheese was one of the best I've ever had, super creamy and delicious. I really enjoyed this meal. The price was reasonable for the portion size, and this is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone visiting.
Loved eating at this local spot! The staff were super friendly and the outdoor seating had a lot of room for big groups. Ordered the thigh and leg plate which came with a side. The chicken was juicy and tender. The plate even came with an extra piece! I preferred the honey butter over the spicy but both complimented the crispy chicken well. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were hits at the table! Gave the donut holes a chance and they were more cakey than donut in texture but still satisfied our dessert craving. Highly recommend checking them out.
The food at Birdhouse was excellent. The fries were incredible, perfectly crispy and well seasoned. The house-made sauce really stood out and added a lot of flavor to the meal. The chicken was tender and juicy on the inside with a crispy exterior, making the skin especially satisfying. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Lots of seating, good ambiance. Overall, everything was well executed, flavorful, and enjoyable. Definitely a spot worth checking out.
Heard great things about the "famous" fried chicken and cold beer. After a long day of adventuring on the lake and in the canyons, this did not disappoint. I had the half bird and did part spicy and part honey butter I had the broccoli salad as my side. The chicken was juicy with a great crunch / crisp. I also liked the ranch / honey mustard sauces. They have a select number of beers to choose from. You order from the counter and then they will bring it out to you. Fast casual type of service so you have get up and get what you need. Seating outside is really nice. Definitely recommend as a good meal to refuel.
Walking into Birdhouse, a converted drive-through restaurant, at 6PM, we were greeted with a short line wrapping around the order counter. It moves pretty quickly since the menu, full of fried chicken and staple sides, isn't too complicated. Birdhouse is a counter service establishment so the food doesn't take very long at all to cook and assemble. In our case it took only about 10 minutes. Thigh + Leg, Original ($11) - Instead of the advertised thigh and leg, the meal came with 3 pieces of chicken - one leg and 2 thighs! It wasn't just us; I saw other customers also getting three pieces. Finally a restaurant that underpromises and overdelivers! The breading on the chicken is a really dark golden brown, initially making me assume it was overfried. Biting into the breading, a really strong crunch shatters on the teeth. It's a hard crunch vs. the crisp that a normal fried chicken skin exhibits. Perhaps they enhance the mixture with rice flour and evercrisp? It's really quite amazing especially with how thin the breading looks. Even with the dark color, the interior remains moist and juicy; in fact, upon my first bite, a stream of chicken juice shot up onto my glasses! The meat has clearly been brined as it's super flavorful, and there's plenty of salt and pepper mixed into the breading to add even more oomph. The fat is rendered nicely and everything is served piping hot. They really know what they are doing with their chicken! A meal comes with one side of which we went with the Seasoned Fries. These are crinkle cut fries sprinkled with seasoning salt. The fry level isn't the most even, with some pieces being a little more dried out, but most still having tender interiors. I'd probably go with a different side in the future. (5/5) Thigh + Leg, Honey Butter ($11) - I believe this is literally the same fried chicken but with honey butter melted over the top. It adds some richness and sweetness, but is otherwise the same excellent fried chicken. For the side with this meal, we went with the Broccoli Salad w/ Bacon. It's pieces of crunchy raw broccoli mixed with tiny pieces of bacon in a light creamy dressing with a bit of sweetness. (5/5) Birdhouse makes their sauces in house which they supply for most orders. The first is their special honey mustard which, as the name implies, is sweet and mustardy. The second is a buttermilk ranch, creamy and tangy. It's very fresh and seems to have fresh herbs mixed in. After several days eating bland (but very fresh!) food in the Navajo Nation, we finally had a meal with actual seasoning! We were impressed enough that we went back the next day to try the final chicken flavor. This time it was earlier at 5PM and for some reason the line was even longer! Yet it took less than 5 minutes for the food to arrive. Thigh + Leg, Spicy ($11) - The base chicken is the same texture and flavor as above. The only difference is a liberal dusting of cayenne pepper spice mixture on top. They don't use any hot oil, so it's only dry spice on the outside, applied right after frying so it all sticks on. The powder is spicy enough to heat up the mouth and lips, but isn't enough to get me sweating at all. I'd compare to something between mild and medium at a hot chicken shop. There's just a hint of sweetness in the mixture - I actually wished it was boosted up a bit more. Still great fried chicken though! (5/5) Birdhouse really serves some great fried chicken. Reasonably priced, delicious food, great portions, there's not much more I could ask for. It was so good that we ended up eating here both nights we stayed in Page! Bathrooms - Single unisex room outside on the back side of the restaurant.
Like many folks, I was in Page, Arizona to visit Lower Antelope Canyon and the tour group I joined had selected BirdHouse as our lunch stop. I did look them up before getting here and am a fan of chicken sandos. Since I was there in December, our tour guide phoned in our orders ahead of time so he can grab the food for us to eat in the van as he continued to drive in order to maximize daylight as we still needed to hit Horseshoe Bend after Antelope Canyon. But, still got the try both the honey butter and spicy chicken sandos. Wish we had fries too but the sandos are a good size and I'd say that the honey butter was better tasting than the spicy sando.

Ordered a 12 piece for 3- honey butter and original with Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and seasoned fries sides. Everything was rlly flavorful and tasty. Service was quick despite it being crowded. Definitely filled us up especially after a full day of hiking. read more

Stopped by while we were in the area, we found out from our anltelope canyon kayak tour guide that this place is ranked 4th in the country for their fried chicken, and 1st in Page Arizona. Place is clean and has plenty of parking outside and plenty of seating inside and outside. Ordered the salad with chicken, the chicken is moist and flavorful. Also ordered 1/2 a chicken which came with 4 to 5 pieces mixed white and dark meat, all juicy, all flavorful, and all with such satisfyingly crispy skin. Staff were super friendly. The crinkle fries with light seasoning are fantastic, the mashed potatoes were good but I did find out they're from a box. The macaroni has 4 cheeses and frito lay chip crisps on top. All in all, I definitely recommend trying this place. read more

Solid spot for a casual meal while in Page! My fiance and I stopped here for a quick lunch just before noon and luckily it wasn't completely packed yet, though the place was already bustling with people. We ordered at the counter and our food came out fairly quickly afterwards. I had the original chicken sandwich which was quite good -- the chicken was pretty big in size, and it was crispy on the outside while being juicy on the inside. My fiance got the spicy wings with a side of broccoli salad; this was good overall and the spicy flavor definitely had some kick. The broccoli salad was also nice and refreshing as a side to all the fried chicken. read more
The BirdHouse is a good restaurant to grab delicious fried chicken. My son and I went here for lunch. It was a busy place. The ordering was at the counter and food was brought to the table. Their menu had a nice variety and the pricing was reasonable. I ordered a two-piece spicy fried chicken meal with broccoli & bacon salad and a soft drink and my son ordered a wings meal with honey sauce wings and fries. The food came out shortly. The chicken was hot and fresh. Same thing with the fries. They were cooked properly too. My spicy chicken was juicy and crispy. Their fried chicken was flavorful and cooked properly so the texture was good as well. The spicy taste was just right. They serve We sat on the patio. The weather was nice. We received good service. It's a family run business. The father-daughter duo were frequently attending to the patrons to ensure that everyone was enjoying their meal and experience. The wife and I are tourists to AZ, UT and several other states and national parks while on our 3.5 week, 5k mile trip! This chicken place stands out, even after eating at dozens of restaurants recently! Their chicken is AMAZING! I ordered the spicy #2 and the wife got the honey butter #1. Both were fried to crispy perfection with great flavors! The sides consisted of Mac n cheese and crinkle fries! Staff was super nice, checking on us and clearing out table, despite this being more of a fast food place! I wish I could give more than five stars !!! read more
Considering there were very few good options, I would definitely recommend bird house as a must when visiting. Fried chicken was juicy and fries were cooked to perfection. Their house made spicy honey mustard sauce and ranch were such a great sauce for dipping. The broccoli slaw also served great as a palate cleaner and was so refreshing. Only con is that they only have one bathroom so always a line to the loo. I look droolingly forward to returning to Birdhouse on my next trip to Page AZ! read more

This is a must visit in Page Arizona! Honestly the best Korean fried-chicken around. The meat is super tender and the honey flavor is definitely the best. Priced really well. Came in with a family of 9 and two trays were enough with sides. Service is fast casual. You pick your own sauces and silverware because the chicken is the show. Can't recommend enough. read more

Very affordable and delicious meal of the day. I got Honey butter and my bf got spicy seasoning. We both personally like the honey butter as it gives both sweet and salty flavors. The crisp is just on point. All the staffs are very friendly and the food comes out fast too. Overall, it's 10/10. read more

Best fried chicken in town! Not much good food that we found on this trip to Page but we came back twice to this place. Affordable, great flavored food and very quick nice service. Recommending to all travelers who stay around this area. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was recommended this place from a tour guide he said it was good food. I came here and restaurant atmosphere was ok nothing special. The chicken was ok different breading when deep fried. The chicken really didn't have and flavor and the sides weren't flavorful neither. The coleslaw tasted different not your traditional coleslaw and by different I mean no flavor . The Macaroni and cheese did not taste cheesy at all and I don't understand the bread crumbs on top because it didn't add any taste to it. Definitely not your traditional fried chicken southern style food. I'm not sure if that's what I was expecting but overall it wasn't a bad place to eat. read more
We got an eight-piece family meal. It came with 2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 drumsticks and 2 thighs, along with two sides - Mac n cheese and fries. We ordered an extra side Broccoli salad. The chicken was over-fried a bit but the flavor was good. There were a lot of fries. I was disappointed with broccoli salad and mac n cheese. They were not so fresh. The donut holes were ok, nothing special. It's mostly self-serve after I placed my order at the counter. The price was a bit expensive. Overall, it's not a place I would go back to. read more

This is a solid choice if you want fried chicken and reasonable prices. Also a good choice if you are in a hurry (as long as there are 5 groups or less in front of you). The "patio" is right next to the road, so expect some loud pipes going by. Tables are set up for large groups, so bring the whole family. Service was SO friendly. Although this is a self serve place: (order at the counter then get your own napkins, utensils, water) there was still some table attention- food is brought out to the table , and there is staff to help you find what you need. Not a lot of vegetables offered. The one salad on the menu is iceberg lettuce heaped with chicken, bacon and egg - you will definitely get your protein here! It comes in a to -go box. This place is not fancy. We were delighted to find adult beverages available. No beverages are listed on the menu or web site. There were two flavored premade margarita concoctions - prickly pear and something else that sounded too sweet -(20 oz! 9 bucks) but I didn't try it - seemed like too much of a commitment. There was also a good selection beer and a few wine choices. Wine was $6.50 - and not bad. Overall impression is that it a a heavy meal, very crispy chicken, mashed potatoes were only ok. Not a place to linger. Not terrible, but definitely not comfy. Go if you are hungry and tired of overpriced restaurants. read more

One of very few good restaurants we encountered in Page. The fried chicken is delicious! You can get it mild, very spicy and honey butter. We had the very spicy and it was as good as Nashville Hot Chicken. They give you squeeze bottles of ranch and some other dressing to dip the chicken into. Great eaten cold the next day. read more

No complaints at all on the service. I thought the team was polite and efficient. This place ONLY serves chicken, hence the name. There are 3 chicken options to choose from original, Spicy, and Butter. The menu represents spicy using three to denote it ain't nothing to mess with, but according to my travel companion, it didn't have much kick to it. We both agreed that heat, like taste, is all relative! Which brings me to my next point.... The chicken was not at all flavorful. It required SALT and pepper, which I used wayyy more than I'd otherwise prefer. I ordered a thigh and discovered the order came with 2 pieces, so for the price, you'll get lots of food! This place has high reviews, but again, my companion and I concluded it had less to do with the quality of the food, and perhaps the experience level of those being served. We were driving in from Vegas and starving! We got there at 837 and were hoping for good service (they close at 9). The young men running the place did not disappoint! We got the spicy strips, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and French fries The strips- delish! The dipping sauce was also really good. The mashed potatoes- yummy, reminded me of KFC. The Mac, neh not a fan. They were out of coleslaw, sad day. The place looks like a converted sonic, some seating inside and more outside. As we were eating they came by and gave us a side of the house made pickles... sooo good. I love the carrots. 10/10, would totes come back!! read more
We came here hungry after a day of hiking in the heat. The staff was very helpful and knows most people are tourists. Our food came out pretty quick and tasted so good! I loved the honey butter flavor on the chicken and the ranch and house sauce were very good. Left feeling full. Plenty of outdoor seating and on hot days they have fans with misters! Our kayaking guide, Jaden, highly recommended BirdHouse as a tasty value priced fried chicken place. Service was great, our chicken plate and sandwich were great with the sauces, and our dog was happy on the patio. Ambiance was welcoming. The fries needed to be crispier though. read more
The Birdhouse was one of the highlights of our trip to see antelope canyon. The place is unassuming on the outside but such a cozy atmosphere inside. The chicken is so good and portions are big. I loved that I could customize chicken legs only for my little guy. The prickly pear margaritas hit the spot and service was friendly and fast. I recommend going before the rush to snag a good seat. It can get busy! I would come back for sure if in the area! read more

Good fried Chicken place. Very small inside seating area. Food comes out very fast. Fried chicken is very crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We ordered half regular and half spicy. Wish they would marinate the spicy ones , instead just spicy powder on the outside. However their homemade sauces makes them better. fries could be a little bit more crispier, a little bit too salty. read more

A little off the main highway but worth the drive. Parking is tight so don't try to park an RV here. Ordered a Brest and wing with the honey butter coating. Wife ordered the 3 piece tenders. Both were great. The actually gave us an extra Breast and an extra tender for free. I had a hard time finishing just the one and the wife did not eat the 4th tender as it was a lot of food as it was. I did not care for the coleslaw but that is just my personal preference. read more

I might be exaggerating but this is one of the most tasty fried chicken I have ever tried in my entire life! I went back again before leaving the area cause I wasn't sure if I would taste this again in the near future!!! Must try when you visit Page (Horseshoe Bend or Antelope Canyon). read more
One of the best chicken tenders I have ever tried! Not because we were hungry weary travelers who would eat anything before going to the hotel and calling it a night. We loved this place because our tenders were juicy, fresh, hot and delicious. Portions are huge! I wish we had one in LA. The servers were nice efficient and attentive. They have both indoor and outdoor seats which we embraced because inside was too crowded. They also have plenty of parking. read more

We just wrapped up a 6 day vacation visiting Lake Powell/Page. We enjoyed this place so much we ate here twice. We ordered the 10 pcs chicken tender family meal. For our sides we got fries and mac cheese. The food came out really fast. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. Fries seasoned well. Mac and Cheese was amazing. Despite it being 102 degrees outside. The fans with misters felt amazing. It was actually hotter inside. read more

We got in to town a little later than expected, many restaurants already closed, so this seems like a great option before star gazing! Wow, they know their chicken! Perfectly crispy and tasty. We read that fries were seasoned, they are not - that's the only 'complaint' I have. We ordered all the sides, pickled veggies is the overall favorite. Super quick service too! We also appreciated cold water coolers. read more
