My wife came upon this place using Yelp. My son and I shared the Bison burger with toys and my other son and my wife shared a Fry Bread burger with onion rings. We were very happy with our choices. The tots and rings were outstanding as sides. And the side portion was more than adequate for sharing. This is located in a strip mall with indoor and outdoor seating - however the outdoor seating is not in the sun. Lots of parking. Service was fast but there were only a handful of customers that day.

We read the positive reviews and decided to get dinner here since we were in town overnight as we were on the road. This town was our overnight stop over. We wanted simple and easy food and Slackers seemed like it would be good. I wish we would have gone somewhere else. The restaurant was worn down and there was trash/debris on the floor and under tables. The owner (?) and all the staff in the kitchen where you order seemed so unhappy. Everyone looked miserable. The large chalkboard menu is incomplete and doesn't have all available items. My husband got the hot ham and cheese which the food runner dropped on the floor and had to remake. When it came back, it felt rushed (which it was) and the peppers were barely grilled and there needed to be more cheese. The whole place need an infusion of smiles, pleasant happiness, and a deep cleaning / refresh.

They keep the menu up on chalkboards. One of the first things I noticed was the meals they had priced out already were different than the separate price they said "make it a meal" cost. I think the chalk maybe was supposed to be erased under the already calculated meals? It was a little confusing, and I don't think they were trying to be deceptive, just know what you are paying. Staff was friendly, you order at a counter and they bring it out so you don't have a server. I liked my navajo burger enough and we got sweet potato fries that were crispy and hot. My husband wondered if they were just frozen patties he wasn't impressed. Price point wasn't too bad. The wait for food was over 23 minutes we arrived around 30 minutes after opening.

Decently priced and quality burger for lunch. This was recommended by a local (my tour guide for the lower antelope tour). People were really nice. When we walked in, the restaurant had a funny smell but it was because they were fixing the plumbing. And per the locals standing out front debating whether to go there for lunch that day or not, this is not a normal occurrence.

We came in late September and the place was decked out in cute Halloween decorations! You order at the front and the servers will bring them out to your table by #. The burgers that we ordered were extremely juicy and flavorful. It is affordable and tasty. We also got a $9.50 pitcher that was enough for almost 4 cups! I would highly recommend coming for this!

Could not wait to get some fry bread. This was mentioned to me from a local. Here you walk up and order and they bring it to your table. The portions are great. I had the sweet potato fries and fry bread. The fries were bomb! Nice size order. The fry bread was a great size as well, but it didn't have the flavor I'm use to and it was chewy. My friends had the burgers which they said didn't have enough seasoning and the fry bread was chewy for them as well. The tater tots had a perfect crisp and flavor to them. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean and the portions were worth the price and it was made fresh . It also has inside and outside We chose the ice cream which is in a separate section of Slackers. The staff was nice but two of the people left one up front to help those who came in. The price is right and the flavor is great and there is inside seating. The weird thing is you are not able to enter from the door that leads outside, you have to walk through Slackers.

Tasty lunches at an affordable price. That's how I describe Slackers. Their sandwiches have always been good, their sides are good, and their prices are good. It's not an exceptional place, but you leave pretty happy with the meal you've eaten. It's nice to have that consistency a place to eat which is why it's one of my to go lunch places. My favorite subs are the hot pepper beef or the cold turkey sub. All the sides I've had have been pretty good, fries, curly fries, onion rings. I hear they have a good dinner too but I have yet to try it.

okay so i didn't get to tell you the last green chile burger at the other place across town had to be remade. guess what? at Slackers it was made right and the best the first time! ha.

    Saggy French Fries

This place stated that all items are sold separately; I bought two burgers and was charged $ 5.05 for French fries and same amount for saggy potato fries. (See pictures) Makes me question the rest of the items on the menu. Burgers were ok

Walking into Birdhouse, a converted drive-through restaurant, at 6PM, we were greeted with a short…read moreline wrapping around the order counter. It moves pretty quickly since the menu, full of fried chicken and staple sides, isn't too complicated. Birdhouse is a counter service establishment so the food doesn't take very long at all to cook and assemble. In our case it took only about 10 minutes. Thigh + Leg, Original ($11) - Instead of the advertised thigh and leg, the meal came with 3 pieces of chicken - one leg and 2 thighs! It wasn't just us; I saw other customers also getting three pieces. Finally a restaurant that underpromises and overdelivers! The breading on the chicken is a really dark golden brown, initially making me assume it was overfried. Biting into the breading, a really strong crunch shatters on the teeth. It's a hard crunch vs. the crisp that a normal fried chicken skin exhibits. Perhaps they enhance the mixture with rice flour and evercrisp? It's really quite amazing especially with how thin the breading looks. Even with the dark color, the interior remains moist and juicy; in fact, upon my first bite, a stream of chicken juice shot up onto my glasses! The meat has clearly been brined as it's super flavorful, and there's plenty of salt and pepper mixed into the breading to add even more oomph. The fat is rendered nicely and everything is served piping hot. They really know what they are doing with their chicken! A meal comes with one side of which we went with the Seasoned Fries. These are crinkle cut fries sprinkled with seasoning salt. The fry level isn't the most even, with some pieces being a little more dried out, but most still having tender interiors. I'd probably go with a different side in the future. (5/5) Thigh + Leg, Honey Butter ($11) - I believe this is literally the same fried chicken but with honey butter melted over the top. It adds some richness and sweetness, but is otherwise the same excellent fried chicken. For the side with this meal, we went with the Broccoli Salad w/ Bacon. It's pieces of crunchy raw broccoli mixed with tiny pieces of bacon in a light creamy dressing with a bit of sweetness. (5/5) Birdhouse makes their sauces in house which they supply for most orders. The first is their special honey mustard which, as the name implies, is sweet and mustardy. The second is a buttermilk ranch, creamy and tangy. It's very fresh and seems to have fresh herbs mixed in. After several days eating bland (but very fresh!) food in the Navajo Nation, we finally had a meal with actual seasoning! We were impressed enough that we went back the next day to try the final chicken flavor. This time it was earlier at 5PM and for some reason the line was even longer! Yet it took less than 5 minutes for the food to arrive. Thigh + Leg, Spicy ($11) - The base chicken is the same texture and flavor as above. The only difference is a liberal dusting of cayenne pepper spice mixture on top. They don't use any hot oil, so it's only dry spice on the outside, applied right after frying so it all sticks on. The powder is spicy enough to heat up the mouth and lips, but isn't enough to get me sweating at all. I'd compare to something between mild and medium at a hot chicken shop. There's just a hint of sweetness in the mixture - I actually wished it was boosted up a bit more. Still great fried chicken though! (5/5) Birdhouse really serves some great fried chicken. Reasonably priced, delicious food, great portions, there's not much more I could ask for. It was so good that we ended up eating here both nights we stayed in Page! The restaurant has lots of seating and feels very laid-back and great for the end of a long day on the lake. I had one of the craft beers, Camp fire kolsch, which was delicious. For food I got the Hot Honey chicken sandwich, grilled- which was fantastic. We ordered a side of fries as the burgers do not come with fries. As for service, our server was very to-the-point, not quite friendly but not rude. It was okay for me because I was ready to be done for the day, but most of our party didn't feel welcomed by our server's attitude and we're all generally easy going. We paid our bill with cash, when our server came back with the receipt he dropped it with us and left with the change. I try to make a point of tipping generously, at least 20% but I'm not really okay with someone helping themselves to a 40% tip. He came back after a few minutes of us sitting there (wondering if he forget or really took off with our change) and gave us our change- we still left 20% for him because maybe it was just a forgetful moment... All in all, good food and drink, service could use some polishing.

We decided on Gone West Family Restaurant based on their solid reviews and we thought that American food (especially with a Western theme) would be the way to go. When in Rome! We stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. Parking is easy in the complimentary lot they share with several other businesses including a Chinese restaurant right next door. Ambiance (4.5/5): Pretty much what I was hoping for. Gone West is a spacious restaurant with one large dining room and another large dining room. The difference? The one in the back has a stage where they play live music. So, if you want a quieter atmosphere, choose the first room. If you want to enjoy some live music while you dine and drink, choose the back room. We sat in the back room. A band played various covers while we were there which we enjoyed. The decor is also awesome with a lot of Western and country decor including John Wayne, Johnny Cash, and more. Service (4/5): The hostess was super nice and accommodating which was a nice way to kick off the experience. Our waiter was pretty solid. He could have stopped by a little more frequently, but overall, did quite well. Drinks (4/5): I went with an Arnold Palmer (they only had pink lemonade unfortunately) so not a lot to right home about. With that being said, they have a decent beer list and several cocktails. Food (5/5): I went with the Chicken fried steak sandwich with spiral fries. CFS on a sandwich?! I couldn't say no. Country fried steak is one of my favorite Southern dishes, but I've never had it on a sandwich before. Check out their concept: breaded steak on a bed of mashed potatoes topped with green onions, gravy, and a fried egg with your choice of side. This was a great sammie! It was quite messy, but given how delicious it was, I didn't mind. The fries were delicious too, and it was a generous portion. The type of portion where you can easily have leftovers. Everything I was hoping for and more in this dining experience. While the food options in Page aren't vast (and as impressive as larger cities), Gone West should be at the top of your list!

Food arrived quick, server was friendly...but disappointing across the board on the meal. Two kids got burgers, hard and lacked flavor. One got bbq pork, just didn't taste great.
