Patty melt
Amber G.

Our waitress was Shaylene.........I'm not sure what was going on but it was strange. FIRST AND FOREMOST she failed to mention the tip was already added to the bill. My sister paid and added a tip. Then when she got to me I asked why there was a $19 surcharge and she said the tip was included. Not sure why that was not told to us prior. My mom order fries and she was brought sweet potato fries. (Btw the sweet potato fries were gross!) when my mom told her she order regular fries, Shaylene argued with her that she accepted the plate. The patty melt was so gross. The calamari was the worst plate of calamari I've ever had. The slider were ok but the meat was so tiny compared to the bun. My husband enjoyed his Navajo tacos. The view was gorgeous. Over all it's a nice spot to eat, but service was wish washy and the food was not great.

This is the manager - do not ask him for anything!
JM S.

The manager is an idiot (see picture)! We came in for Saturday college football and he said he was too busy to change channels. The restaurant was maybe 25% occupied and he refused to accommodate us. He claimed that they were not known for their TV's even through they had a dozen screens. He said they were known for their food. I question that! Dawn was a fabulous waitress and did a great job of attending to our drink and food needs!

Sotally Tober
Mario M.

The drink was really good got the Sotally Tober which was very delicious. That was the best part of the expletive here. It took a very long time to receive our meal although it was completely empty. When the food did arrive it was mid (okay)

Great service at the bar. Good options on tap and good cocktail options. I had a Moscow mule. We had the pizza which was hot fresh out of the oven! Would return.

Loving it

Loved every minute of it! This place is amazing and a must see if you're visiting within the area

the receipt for the order

The food is good but watch your check. They added the gratuity then put a suggested tip amounts on the bottom. I find that pretty shady.

Wings
Tasha D.

Terrible service. The hostess made a mistake and put out order to go. I reminded her we were eating here and asked her to tell the cook to make it for here. Bottom line, the manager was "unavailable" and they wouldn't budge. For 110.00 for wings and salads I would expect more. Overall "F" rating.

Not on my list as a place to return to. Way over priced for what you get. Far better restaurants in Page.

Drove from CA to AZ and managed to sneak in before they closed the doors. Since we were at the tail…read moreend of the dinner service took a bit to get seated but once the waitress swung by she took our orders quickly and food came out promptly. I ordered the ribeye, buddy ordered the fish and chips, and son ordered the macc & cheese. Ribeye was cooked to order (medium rare) but green beans were so so for me (lots of garlic, julienne cut), onions / mushroom sauce paired with the mashed potatoes and gravy were fine but a bit much with the ribeye for my tastes. Buddy said fish and chips were good, son thought Mac and cheese were fine.

OK, so this one's a bit of a mixed review. We're tourists in town seeing the sites, and we stopped…read moreby here to have dinner. We had all been wanting steak, and this place seemed to have good yelp reviews, indicating it was a good steakhouse in town. However, when we sat down and saw the menu prices, which were much higher than had been listed online in pictures, most of the family changed their mind. They had a New York strip option (striploin) a $45 in the ribeye at $46. My wife had the country fried steak, which she said was good or equal to Cracker Barrel's. My son had the barbecue burger which he enjoyed, and my youngest daughter had the kids meal cheese burger sliders, which she liked a lot. For my part, I had a ribeye, which at $46 was a little bit steep. Having said that, if it is an excellent steak, I have no problem paying that price. However, this wasn't an excellent steak. The steak was cooked order, and that in itself was pretty epic as the steak was really paper thin and mostly fat. I'm amazed that you could make a steak that thin, medium rare (I really ordered rare, but I had seen some reviews stating to order it Rare, if you wanted, medium rare). My two issues were the steak were the thickness and the amount of fat on it. I'm not talking about marbling fat that makes a good ribeye, I'm talking about the big chunks of pure fat that most people don't eat. I've never actually seen a ribeye that had as much non-marbled fat on it, as this one did. I'd estimate that approximately 40% of the ribeye was fat. The overall flavor was fairly good, just not worth the price. This is not a steak that I would expect at a a steakhouse, this is a steak that I would more I would expect at a Cracker Barrel or a Denny's. I'd say that was pretty much overall the experience, decently good food, but definitely not worth the price. If our overall ticket had been about half the price to 2/3 of the price, I'd give this place a 4 stars. Add the current meal prices, it really sits at about a 2 1/2 star experience. The service was somewhat difficult to rate, as we had a very nice waitress who was obviously overworked and handling too much, as it took an hour to get our food(also two parties our size who came in the same time or after us, got their food significantly before us)but she was very attentive to us when she had the ability to come over. We did visualize her running around the whole restaurant, so any lapse in service really definitely wasn't her fault.

Steer 89 - 🍔Navajo Burger ($15)🍔

Steer 89

Have you ever heard of Navajo fry bread? Basically, it's a really simple mix of flour, sugar, salt…read moreand lard that's deep-fried and topped with all manner of sweet and/or savory ingredients. Created around 1864 by the Navajo people using the meager ingredients given to them by the US Government at the time. The bread quickly spread to other tribes throughout the country, and is usually just referred to as "fry bread," but in AZ it's always preceded by the prefix "Navajo." My first encounter with it was in a church parking lot at San Xavier del Bac (aka The White Dove of the Desert), where Native Americans had food stands selling fresh fry bread topped with honey and cinnamon-sugar, as well as savoury toppings like ground beef, lettuce and tomatoes in what's popularly referred to as a Navajo Taco. Fast forward to our recent trip to Page, and we stopped into a little restaurant called Steer 89. It came recommended by a local--and I always take local recs seriously. While perusing the menu they had an item called a Navajo Burger ($15) and my curiosity was piqued. Essentially it's a giant hamburger sandwiched between two fry bread "buns," and I really have to say it was easily the most unique thing I've had all year. The burger itself was terrific, as it was seasoned well, had good beefy flavor and cooked expertly. And it was "run through the garden" with all the veggie accoutrements I demand. The hand-cut fries were also a treasure to behold and were everything a fry should be: fluffy, yet crisp and just a bit overly-salted. Of course, we had to get a Navajo Taco ($12), as well, and it too lived up to the hype of the originals I'd had in that church parking lot. While it was nothing fancy, this was probably one of my favorite meals we had on our recent trip and definitely worthy of multiple repeat visits next time we're in the area.

My friend and I came here and we mostly came for the Navajo Tacos. I also ordered the burger, but…read morethat was a mistake as that was not all that good at all, and was much smaller and more depressing looking compared to the Navajo taco. The navajo taco is basically a piece of the navajo bread, which is a thicker, chewier, airier flatbread topped with taco toppings you'd expect from a taco bell, things like shredded lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions and chili. The navajo taco was pretty good if you came in expecting that. It is pretty much an american taco with navajo bread. Overall not an interesting find, but nothing too spectacular or mind blowing.
