We went on a Friday at lunch in March. We had also been there a few weeks before. I don't usually leave 5 start reviews, but this restaurant deserves a needle-moving review and I can't think of one thing we didn't like. We shared calamari and we are calamari snobs. I wasn't expecting anything great but it really, really was. The crunchy (fresh?) batter was cooked perfectly crispy and the squid meat was not tough. They served it on top of sliced pepperocini, which we kept using throughout the meal. The sauce was delicious too. Now any chef/cook can have an off day, but if the oil is the right temp and they stick to a prescribed fry time, you should experience the same great result. My husband had the Reuben, and he is a Reuben snob. The thickly julienned corned beef made for a little bit of messy eating, but he said it was good. His sweet potato waffle fries were crisp and not too sweet. They stayed crisp throughout the meal. I believe these were frozen but they chose a great product to offer for one of their sides. No shame in a good, coated, crisp, frozen sweet potato waffle fry. I had the desert dipper (French dip to many of us.) It was topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions and the aus jus was really delicious. Not too salty and with a rich flavor without being oily. Again, a product which I would be shocked it if wasn't purchased, but they made a great choice! It doesn't rely on salt, which many chefs turn to to cover less-than-stellar food. My side was a side salad. Mixed mesclun lettuces (with the occasional wilted, icky looking leafs) that made either this batch of lettuce one day past it's prime or needed to be gone through a little closer. The salad was topped with a generous portion of very fresh cucumbers, carrot shreds, cherry tomatoes, cheese and croutons. I was pleased with the overall quality and presentation of that simple side salad. In our previous trip my husband had the quite-curated turkey sandwich and he said it was very good. A floating restaurant on the second largest man-made lake in America??? Yes, please. Incredible ambience, starting with parking up top and being driven down in one of the many motorized carts they have running 24/7. The views are breathtaking!!! But the important part that we need to get to-food and service. We went twice. Each time, great servers! Ruby and Autumn were attentive without being overbearing. Our food came out quickly. Night one, we had the flank steak with some fancy espresso cheese and hot honey, gyros, and the sliders. Second visit for lunch, we had the fish tacos, a Caesar salad with steak, and (my favorite!!!) the blackberry steak salad with goat cheese and all kinds of deliciousness. There were things that I would probably take a star off for--but not from the restaurant. The restrooms are outside the restaurant, and for a place that's pretty dang high end, one would expect that they would have been cleaned at least once during the day and toilet paper refilled instead of sitting in the stall on the floor (first visit) or stuffed in with the toilet seat covers (second visit). I did ask about it, and apparently there is a cleaning crew that takes care of that and they aren't affiliated with the restaurant at all--so definitely not going to hold it against the restaurant! Go. Get some of Jaden's specialty cocktails and that blackberry steak salad. Then take a boat tour of the lake and enjoy some incredible views. You won't regret it!!! read more

Our waitress was Shaylene.........I'm not sure what was going on but it was strange. FIRST AND FOREMOST she failed to mention the tip was already added to the bill. My sister paid and added a tip. Then when she got to me I asked why there was a $19 surcharge and she said the tip was included. Not sure why that was not told to us prior. My mom order fries and she was brought sweet potato fries. (Btw the sweet potato fries were gross!) when my mom told her she order regular fries, Shaylene argued with her that she accepted the plate. The patty melt was so gross. The calamari was the worst plate of calamari I've ever had. The slider were ok but the meat was so tiny compared to the bun. My husband enjoyed his Navajo tacos. The view was gorgeous. The manager is an idiot (see picture)! We came in for Saturday college football and he said he was too busy to change channels. The restaurant was maybe 25% occupied and he refused to accommodate us. He claimed that they were not known for their TV's even through they had a dozen screens. He said they were known for their food. I question that! The salsa was mid. The calamari and caprese were very good! Salads were tasty and fresh. Good tater tots. Service was just okay. She checked by a couple of times and got us what we asked for but had no personality. Just blah and doing her job as a lunch server. No water refills. Only partial cleaning of the table when we were done eating. It's a cool place to eat though. Right on the water. Cool to pull the boat up and walk in the eat. It's a big restaurant and the tables are spread out nicely. Lots of televisions playing every sport you want to watch. They also have a decent sized bar. If I could leave a negative 5 star I would. Shane Dennis the "director of food & beverage" kicked me out of the restaurant for complaining about waiting for my food for 2 HOURS. In all my life experiences while dining out I have never been treated the way Shane reacted to my complaint. My family's food was all served at different intervals like we were separated guest. Not that big of a deal. Everyone's food eventually came out but 2 of us at the table. 1 1/2 hours went by the family finished their food but 2 of us were still waiting. After 2 hours 1 more meal came out. I still waited patiently then another 1/2 hour went by still no food so I walked up to talk with the manager. Keep in mind my family already had to go boxes and were cashing out as we were still waiting. When I approached Shane, he was arguing with our waiter. I asked if he was the manager and he abruptly said to me to hold on and no I'm the food and beverage director. So I waited. Then Shane approached me with the most unprofessional attitude as if I was out of line to ask for his assistance about my food. I told him that if he worked for me I would fire him for his unprofessional attitude along with not a single concern of our 2 hour wait.. actually I don't think he even knew what I wanted. His 1st response was to call security on me and have me kicked out of the restaurant. WOW!!! That is unbelievable!! All I can say is WOW! So we left. My good friend went back inside to check on getting my food and when Shane realized he was associated with me he kicked him out as well and said he was going to call security. This is crazy!! This guy should not be in charge of people. What an unhealthy work environment it must be working under Shane Dennis. I have to give props to the owner of the establishment as it is an incredible operation going on here. I would be so proud of this place. With that said I don't think the owner knows about the way Shane handles the customers or the staff. My recommendation would be to take a closer look at what's going on under the management of Shane Dennis and take a good look at maybe replacing him with someone with a professional touch in management & customer service. Consider where you are when seeing my 4-star review. There is not another dining option here, unless you consider the mini convenience store a restaurant (it's handy with some needed items, but mostly just branded clothing). Service has been very slow the two times we've eaten here, but the food is actually pretty good and worth the wait. I remember the truffled fries for $16 were amazing the last time, this time they were stupid. The fries were Burger King style (weird bumps on the surface, maybe double fried, but not in a good way) and no truffle taste at all. They add fat-shaved Parmesan, which makes no sense to the size / ratio. Extremely disappointed. I forgot how DELICIOUS the French Dipper is! It's a very hearty portion, with thinly shaved beef that's still tender and juicy, grilled onions, and melted Swiss cheese on a toasted hoagie. They skimp on the au jus, so ask to make sure the cup is full of it. Both times mine was only 1/2 a cup. Although, if they forget or too scarce to ask for more, the sandwich is great on its own at the end. My side salad was decently stocked with freshly sliced button mushrooms, shredded carrot, croutons, grape tomatoes, and variety of greens. I wish they'd mix the salad before plating, but everywhere seems to separate the items in blobs. My husband had the BBQ chicken breast special; it was juicy and a healthier option than what I got, but the corn cob was dry and unflavored. The pizza comes out in a decent size (maybe medium/large of pizza sizes; the server said the flatbread is about half the size, if you're watching portions or not sharing. Though the "patty melt" looked very much like a Reuben, but it didn't include sauerkraut or pastrami. It was done nicely. I mean, I wouldn't rate the restaurant a 4 in the city because of the slow service and ambiance (people let their kids run around and scream, people with dogs were turned away but others snuck their misbehaved ones in, it was NOT busy yet tons of employees were standing around, but the food we got is worth it if you're hungry. read more

I feel bad for everyone that had a bad experience here. We had the complete opposite. First of all, the water levels are so low that you can't access the marina by the walking path. You have to use the call box for a ride down and an employee will pick you up in a cart. The restaurant is on the water in the marina, and it is a hidden gem. The view was spectacular. It took a while to get down there so we were afraid they wouldn't be able to seat us since they close at 3. We got there about 215 and snagged a seat on the patio. Hubby ordered the fish and chips (with a side salad instead of the fries). The fish pieces were huge and cooked all the way through. The beer batter was crispy but almost too heavy, so he took some off of the last piece so he could thoroughly enjoy the fish. He said it was well cooked, light & flaky, and flavorful. I ordered the veggie burger with a salad and a side of sweet potato fries. I loved the fresh grilled flavor of the burger and the fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy! We were hungry after a long morning of hiking, and we enjoyed every bite. Our server Geneva was friendly and attentive and patient with all my questions and pickiness with my order. The fees is reduced if you have done activities in the area ( like antelope canyon tours etc, feel free to ask. Quite a few vegetarian options. We enjoyed the food after a long day. Pizza was big, but portions of pasta & fries were just reasonable. Food did take some time to be cooked, but our waitress was nice. We were staying at the RV park and decided to try this for a quick meal. Didn't realize we couldn't walk to the marina but a very nice gentleman said he would give us a ride down in a golf cart. After a brief ride we were on the dock and we were told to use the call box for a ride back. I had a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and the Mrs had the Philly steak sandwich with same fries. We were both pleasantly surprised how good the meal was. They didn't have a few things on the menu and were limited on drinks but the service was good and we sat inside near the window and enjoyed the view. After a day of touring I got thirsty for a brew and hungry. My family had already down to this marina Restaurant. Heading there was 1 thing that irked me pretty bad. We specifically headed to the Marina just to get some chow, not for any other reason. However, we got stopped at the entrance booth and in order to meet the rest of my family we were charged 25 dollars for a 7 day parking pass. I explained we would only be a hour for lunch and we didn't need a 7 day parking pass. It was a no-go. Park services made us pay 25 dollars to have a hour lunch at this place, this was complete BS and should not have happened. Once you get in the parking lot for a small tip someone will give you a ride down to the restaurant in a golf cart (its a hike down the walkway). This place is more about relaxing with a few drinks and the view in my opinion. My sister and I shared the pizza which to me was Blah, ive had better in a high school cafeteria... Seriously... We also got wings which were pretty good. The only thing that made this place worthwhile was the view. Your on a floating marina, and they have these huge garage sliding doors that were open. Other then that, I would have rather stayed put in town and gotten some food at another place. Others were saying their food was good o maybe it was just me and the pizza. WOW AMAZING..... reallyyyy!!!! I was road tripping through Utah to Arizona with my Fiancés family. After a long day of hiking at Bryce national park and a long drive we were HANGRYYY. We went on Yelp and found this restaurant that had decent reviews so we figured we would try it out. The restaurant is on a floating dock right on the river which allows for it to have a great sunset. Lo was taking care of us and she was absolutely fantastic. She recommended lots of things for us to do, answered all of our curious questions, and was all around so pleasant to talk to. Definitely made the experience that much better for us. We ordered the truffle fries to start since we were starving, and what a great choice that was. As our entrees we order the fish tacos... AHMAZZINGGG! These tacos aren't like your average fried fish sticks, they are actually chunks of fish with a mango salsa and cabbage on the side My fiancé and his sister had the steak salad and the salmon caesar salad which I didn't get to try because they said it was soooo good they didn't want to share. Their mom got the chicken schnitzel which was also really good! I have to say this place is alllll around amazing but as the other reviews state you do have to pay to get in since it is in a national park. What happened??? We used to love to eat at this place for many years when the food was excellent, and the service was great. We went there for lunch today, and both of us were extremely disappointed. First of all, they wouldn't let us sit down at one of many tables that were empty and just have a glass of water until we could be waited on. We didn't mind waiting for someone take our food orders. We just wanted to sit down and be comfortable after working hard all morning. Instead, we had to wait on a metal bench outside for a half hour. Our server was very nice, but forgot some of our requests. When our food came out after a long wait, it was pretty terrible. They were out of onion rings, sweet potato fries, and rye bread for my reuben sandwich which was very thin. On one half of the sandwich, there were only a few slivers of meat along with some congealed cheese.. When I picked up the other half, I discovered that they had put most of the meat on the plate under the fries. I had ordered the parmesan truffle oil fries and paid extra for them. I got a heap of thin, soggy, room temperature fries with shaved parmesan that was hard and did not melt at all and with absolutely no trace of truffle oil. My husband said that the two hamburger patties on his small bun were very dry with little flavor. This place used to be 5 stars for us! read more

This restaurant is perfectly located right on lake Powell. Lunch with a view. Go before or after your water activities. For the most part the food is delicious, I really enjoyed the salmon club sandwich. We also got the pasta which is delicious Their portions are large. & the staff was very friendly and accommodating Recommended for lunch I went a second time and ordered their pesto pizza. (I don't know why I order pizza anywhere outside NY/NJ). The waiter brought us the wrong pizza. He apologized repeatedly and was very nice about it, we had a to wait a while for our pizza to be made again but we had time. Ja'di'To'oh is known for being one of, if not the largest floating restaurant on a lake marina in the world. Because of that, it's definitely worth a trip to this spot. The lakeside ambiance is amazing; if you sit close enough, dozens of black carp are swimming right along side the restaurant. They have a great selection of local craft beer, great cocktails and food. Worth eating here if you are staying at the lake. Be aware of the recreational parking entrance fee to get in if you are just trying to eat at the restaurant. read more

First things first, you have to have permit access to enter the Marina, which was $25 for a 7 day pass I think, I can't remember off the top of my head. We stopped by for a late lunch after we got done playing on the lake, and we chose this place since we were already there, and they have an outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. Beer menu was not up to date, but the server quickly filled us in on what was available. I went with a few dogfish head 90 minute IPAs. I went with the fish n chips, she got the cowboy steak. The table next to us ordered pizza, and it looked pretty good, made me question my decision to order the fish n chips. It came with two GIANT pieces of fish. The food was okay, nothing special. For fries/tater tots, there is an option to spice it up with truffle oil and parmesean for $4 extra. I wouldn't recommend it, there was barely any truffle flavor so really it's $4 to sprinkle a little generic parmesean cheese on top. There were some people hanging out on the patio drinking and smoking, so if that bothers you, you might want to sit inside. I would give this place 3 stars, but +1 for the service. Our server was Carson, and he was really good, always checking up on us and bringing out a bowl of water for the pup. If you are in the area and have already paid for access, then I would recommend stopping by. Otherwise probably not worth coming out here. read more

This by far was one of the worst experience I've ever had while on vacation and in another State. At 7:30pm on a non crowded Sunday night, my party calls in to see if there is a wait time. The conversation went thus. "Hi we were wondering if there's any wait time for a party of 5." The rude hostess responds, "WHY?" But we went anyways. Boy was that a mistake. The rude hostess was the one who seated us, and while upon asking her if we could have outside seat, she snickered and sat us in the darkest corner of the restaurant where we were left and forgotten for 15 minutes. A waitress came outside, saw us and then ran away. We told ourselves we'd wait 5 more minutes before we got up and left, and we gave them that. Two friends walked out the back, while our proud asses walked through the front. People seated after us were at least given water while we were neglected and had to leave out of dignity for ourselves. read more

I'm giving The Point a good review purely because Joshua is above and beyond. We were lucky to have him as our server. Nothing makes a lake trip more fun than an easy going, down to earth, fun server. Joshua was amazing. There were two girls (aspen was the name of one) that had a problem with us being in bathing suits at the restaurant (which I find weird seeing as we were on a lake). It felt like they would find any reason to be angry. But Joshua and the manager were above and beyond. They not only made us feel welcomed and comfortable but the service was above and beyond. Definitely ask for joshua when you come here! It will make you're lake trip and eating experience so much better. read more

We were in vaca in Utah/AZ area. We got hungry while waiting for the lower antelope canyons tour. This place was supposed to be a decent spot nearby according to the tour guides. First of all it was almost impossible to find. You have to enter Glenn Canyon National Rec Area and pay a fee even if you just want to use the restaurant. Ok fine. We pay like $10 and the lady says follow the signs. We got in the park and saw signs for the restaurant but there is not one in site and no signs telling you what to do. I saw a guy piloting a golf cart with a bunch of people on it and asked him if I could ask him a question and he just said "no" and drove past. Ok so now I'm getting pissed. I park my car and walk to a non-descriptive building with a bunch of golf carts outside and try to get someone's attention. No one wants to help. Now im from Jersey so im used to ride people but this was too much. Finally a lady tells us to wait by some ropes (no sign just ropes) for someone in a golf cart to bring us to the restaurant. After a no lie 10 min ride on a golf cart we arrive at the restaurant which is located at the bottom of a canyon next to a marina. Ok pretty cool location. We got to watch river yachts and house boats pull in and out. Food was meh, service was ok (better than the golf cart dudes) and price was high. Ok now for the worst part - the 30 min wait for a return ride back to the parking lot. There were a ton of people waiting with us and the crowd kept growing. There was a phone to call for a ride but the people on the other side kept hanging up. Those damn golf cart dudes again!! We finally make it back and speed to the canyon and just make it to our tour. Give yourself two hours if you want to eat at this place - an hour for the eating and an hour for the ride to the restaurant and back. read more
