My wife and I popped in to Stromboli's for a late dinner on Wednesday. I had the Chicken Picatta which was incredible - a beautifully breaded chicken cutlet nestled into linguini noodles surrounded by capers and the sauce was lemony, buttery perfection. My wife had the cheese ravioli with a special request for half Alfredo and half Marinara - she loved it! Our server was amazing - she got everything right and delivered our food while it was piping hot. The dining room is small with about 5 or 6 standard booths and tables. They also have a covered patio for folks that like fresh air with their meal. Ordered a 16" Guido, which is like a supreme and a small side of ranch, which they apparently make in house. All was yummy. We arrived at Stromboli's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria around 4:05 PM on Sunday. The door sign said they open at 4, but the lights were off and no one was inside. We noticed someone sitting around back who said he was also waiting for the manager to show up. Finally, around 4:15, the manager arrived and let us in about 5-10 minutes later. Once inside, things took a turn for the better. My husband ordered the meatball calzone, which he rated an 8.5/10 -- huge portion and packed with flavor. I ordered a small pizza and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was -- great crust, flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. The service was friendly, and the inside is quaint and clean, giving it that cozy, small-town Italian feel. Despite the late start, the food and atmosphere definitely made up for it. We'd go back -- maybe just a few minutes later next time! Would have given 4 stars if they had opened on time - and not 20-25 minutes late. read more

We've been coming to Page, Az for about a year now, and had been wanting to try this Italian restaurant for their pizza. We finally got around to it, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment! We ordered the Guido with extra sauce and crispy. It was just the opposite of extra sauce...it hardly had any. Pizza had absolutely no flavor...even with adding extra condiments. The crust was crispy, but extremely bland. It honestly was worse than a frozen pizza from the grocery store. My best assumption is that people that rate this pizza good probably don't really no what really good pizza tastes like, or they just rate it good for Page, Az. Aside from that, the service wasn't a standout either. Our waitress wasn't very welcoming, and was a bit dismissive while waiting on us. She never even asked if we'd like a drink refill. We ordered beer and wine; although the beer was initially incorrect, the mistake was quickly fixed once we pointed it out. We also ordered the traditional calzone with meatball added. Unfortunately, the calzone was initially incorrect as well, but the staff promptly resolved the issue. When the correct dish arrived, it was absolutely perfect; the flavor was amazing! More seating outside, which is where a lot of people migrated to. The service is what I was confused about. Such a great find in the small town of Page Arizona. Nothing better than finding craft pizza, especially within a small town. After spending a great day, hiking and painting around the red rocks of this area this dinner was truly a treasure. I should have bought two pizzas to take home and put in the freezer haha. This was a solid place for pizza in Page. The service was better than anticipated after reading some of the previous Yelp reviews. The pizza is definitely fresh, but it is super greasy and the taste was just average. It was also really expensive ($24!!) for a 16" one topping pizza. It was super loud in there when we went because there were huge family groups with kiddos, but I don't think that's typical for there. read more

(Service dogs are not pets when they are working) I told her that he was a service dog. She told us we could set out side! It's 48 degrees outside! I picked up a to-go order. The ordering and pick-up process was simple and it was ready in about 15 minutes. Staff were friendly. The outside patio is very nice if you want to dine on a warm day or night and the inside is very classic pizzeria. I got the traditional calzone and I added chicken and basil. They did not skimp on the extra ingredients. The inside was a big slosh of goodness but the dough was not sturdy at all. The calzone fell to pieces right away. We showed up at the same time as a lot of others at around 8pm on a Thursday night. The woman who runs the place is awesome! She did a great job of making sure that we (and several other couples) were not lost in the crowd of young athletes (teams) and big family groups. The food was excellent. The pizza I had was great. I had a pepperoni with black olives. Had a few slices the next day and it was just as great. Friends got a calzone which they recommended and the chicken parm was also a hit. Service was a bit off but they were short handed and it was a busy weekend with the Balloon event. Why did the Chicken Cross the road??.... because this place was busy and the service was poor. However the place next door was out of chicken so we had to return. Upon arriving in Page I noticed this place and the giant crowds outside, I love Italian food and wanted to give it a cheer. They were understaffed and not very nice. We waited patiently for a table and it took a long time to get water and our order taken... even longer for our food. I ordered the meatball calzone and it lacked flavor and was soggy. My husbands salad was pretty good. I tried the Alfredo and it was very odd. Many of the reviews for this place say that the pizza is very good. Maybe stick to that when ordering. read more
